"Facing Giants" by Dr. Bobby Allen, serves as an inspirational spiritual guide, drawing parallels between the biblical story of David and Goliath and contemporary life struggles. It emphasizes that "giants" represent modern challenges like fear, doubt, and financial hardship, asserting that these difficulties are real, but God's power is greater. The text highlights that facing these "giants" tests one's faith rather than physical strength, encouraging readers to confront them in the name of God rather than alone. Ultimately, the author posits that overcoming these personal "giants" through faith will inspire others, reinforcing the belief that with God, victory is assured, concluding with practical steps and a prayer for readers to apply these principles.

1 Samuel: 17:1-11
No one in Israel would face Goliath, yet David had the faith and courage to face the giant. Fear can impact our lives and keep us paralyzed. In this message, we explore three ways to defeat Giants in your life.
Dave Willis
1 Samuel 17:4-11 How do you see your giants? As an insurmountable obstacle or an opportunity for God to show His power? “In any situation, what you ARE determines what you see, what you SEE determines what you DO” Hadden Robinson There are two ways to view giants: 1. A limited view that brings fear. 1 Samuel 17:24-25 ‘defy' means ‘to taunt, ridicule, humiliate' Satan want you to cower so he can mock you! When we live by sight, we are defeated before the battle starts. 2. An unlimited view that brings courage. 1 Samuel 17:26 Any giant that come our way is not just a threat to us, but a defiance and insult to our Living God and His abilities. Four things David did to defeat Goliath: 1. He ignored doubts expressed by those around him. 1 Samuel 17:33 2. He remembered his ‘proof' stories. 1 Samuel 17:34-37 3. He disregarded the solutions of man in favor of God. 1 Samuel 17:38-40 4. He acted boldly in the face of Goliath. 1 Samule 17:43-47 Remember: Giants do not fall until you load your slingshot! +++++++ You can find our service times on our website: https://www.anctally.com/ You can find sermon highlights on Twitter here: https://x.com/allnationstally

With Pastor Mike Curry. 1 “Facing Your Giants” 1 Samuel 17:1-58 Introduction Main Point: We all encounter “giants” in our lives—obstacles, fears, and seemingly insurmountable challenges. HOW CAN WE FACE OUR GIANTS WITH FAITH? 1. Identify Your Giants (vs. 4-7) • Goliath was intimidating • Our Modern Giants o fear of failure, addiction, relational struggles, financial burdens, etc. • Action: Identify the giants you're currently facing. 2. Follow David's Approach: He Chose Faith Over Fear (vs. 26, 34-37) • David's Confidence: God would deliver him from Goliath. • David didn't rely on his own strength but on God's. • Action: Replace fear with faith. o Philippians 4:6-7 3. Choose Your Battle: Use Wisdom (vs. 45-47) • David's Purpose: defending God's honor. • Discern your battles. • Action: Fight for God's glory, not personal gain. o Colossians 3:17 Conclusion • Face your giants with courage, knowing that God is your ultimate strength. o Psalm 46:1
Sometimes God uses the most common people in the most uncommon ways. Today's guest was just such a person and used in just such a way by God. Today's program starts with great intentions of sharing some very funny fishing stories and quickly gets sidetracked into the history and God workings in a most amazing way. Our guest looks very familiar to many and once you hear the program, you'll understand why. Over and over again you will hear, “God is doing something here,” and He was. This is one of our favorite programs and the radio portion doesn't have a lot of what we would characterize as outdoor activity, but the story of what God did in a small town is well worth the listen. Don't miss the podcast to get the rest of the story!
As he continues his series, Heart of a Champion, on the life of David, Pastor Jack Graham examines the core convictions and values of great leaders such as David, who killed the giant Goliath but was overlooked by his own family.
