    Second Chances

John 21:1-19 Do you need a second chance? Have you wondered if my failure is too great for God's grace? Maybe Peter's story is your story too. Jesus set Peter up for a second chance. Matthew 28:10 Peter left Jerusalem a failure, a washout, a has-been. Sound like someone you may know. Who many times have you said, “Why me, why here, why now?” When God sets us up for a second chance, He is really setting us up for a comeback no man could orchestrate. Ever wondered if God still has a place for you? Remember, God is NOT finished with you yet! Jesus does not leave us in our failures. He redeems us from them. Peter went home to Galilee. It is a deep human tendency that when we feel lost, unsure of our purpose or like we've failed, we go back to old places, habits and ways of thinking. Peter went fishing. John 21:4-14 He returned to what he knew best, yet even with his expertise, he caught nothing. Maybe your frustration is to prepare you for a second chance! Jesus met Peter at the same place He had originally called Peter, Peter reacted to Jesus's voice-not because of a miraculous catch, but because he had been caught! Three times Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him. It wasn't about affection; it was about commitment. To step into your second chance, you must commit to Jesus and His will for your life. Peter's denial had been public, now his restoration was public. Jesus made it clear; Peter's failure did not define him; his calling did. What does this mean for us? • Jesus does not give up on us, even when we fall short. Lamentations 3:22-23 • Love for Jesus always leads to action. 1 John 3:18 • God uses our failures for His glory. Acts 2:14-41 Jesus is in the business of second chances! +++++++ You can find our service times on our website: https://www.anctally.com/ You can find sermon highlights on Twitter here: https://x.com/allnationstally

This episode explores the crucial question: "What Comes Next?" After achieving milestones like marriage, healing, or church mergers, it's vital to seek God's wisdom for the next season. Drawing from Solomon's request for wisdom, we learn that heavenly wisdom, found in Christ and through the Holy Spirit, is essential for progress, vision, sacrifice, making room for the Holy Spirit, generous giving, prioritizing God's house, and discipling others. It's a call to move beyond past successes and actively pursue God's agenda for the future.

1 Samuel 17:4-11 How do you see your giants? As an insurmountable obstacle or an opportunity for God to show His power? “In any situation, what you ARE determines what you see, what you SEE determines what you DO” Hadden Robinson There are two ways to view giants: 1. A limited view that brings fear. 1 Samuel 17:24-25 ‘defy' means ‘to taunt, ridicule, humiliate' Satan want you to cower so he can mock you! When we live by sight, we are defeated before the battle starts. 2. An unlimited view that brings courage. 1 Samuel 17:26 Any giant that come our way is not just a threat to us, but a defiance and insult to our Living God and His abilities. Four things David did to defeat Goliath: 1. He ignored doubts expressed by those around him. 1 Samuel 17:33 2. He remembered his ‘proof' stories. 1 Samuel 17:34-37 3. He disregarded the solutions of man in favor of God. 1 Samuel 17:38-40 4. He acted boldly in the face of Goliath. 1 Samule 17:43-47 Remember: Giants do not fall until you load your slingshot! +++++++ You can find our service times on our website: https://www.anctally.com/ You can find sermon highlights on Twitter here: https://x.com/allnationstally

John 20:19-31 For the disciples, the Resurrection, didn't immediately erase their fear, uncertainty, or questions. They had seen the empty tomb, but they still struggled to understand what it all meant. They were left wondering, what now? We all have wrestled with doubt, but Jesus is not threatened by our doubts; He meets us in them. Doubt isn't the end of faith; it's often the beginning of deeper trust in Jesus. 1. The Disciples were afraid. John 20:19 Fear can be paralyzing. Notice: In their fear, Jesus came to them. In their fear, Jesus gives them purpose. John 20:21 A shift occurs; the disciples are moved from fear to faith. John 20:22 2. Faith is not always easy. John 20:24 Thomas refuses to believe without seeing. John 20:25 Consider this, maybe he is not rejecting faith, but wrestling with it. Notice: Thomas does not walk away from the disciples. Remember: Armies of one are easily defeated. Hebrews 10:23-25 3. God is not distant from our doubts; He is in the middle of them. John 20:26 Jesus let Thomas see to believe. John 20:27 Notice: Jesus does not rebuke or shame Thomas for his doubts, rather he confronts them and offers proof. God is not afraid of our honest struggles. Psalm 34:4 Notice: Thomas no longer sees Jesus as his teacher, he now recognizes Him as God! John 20:28 Honest doubt can lead to deeper faith. We must learn to trust God in the process. Jesus spoke a blessing that reaches even to us today. John 20:29 What do we do during times of doubt? Stay connected. Bring our doubts to Jesus. Remember: Faith is not about having every answer, it's about choosing to trust the One who does. +++++++ You can find our service times on our website: https://www.anctally.com/ You can find sermon highlights on Twitter here: https://x.com/allnationstally

The Resurrection of Jesus is a definitive invasion of God! The dawn of that first Resurrection Sunday revealed the power of God beyond anything humanity had ever known. God used opposition to reveal His opportunity. We live in a world in which God gets the last word. The Resurrection was never an impersonal concept of popwer, but a personal encounter with power. 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 This power does not come to a planet but to a people, not to a universe but to YOU. 1. This power releases us by defeating the power of sin and shame. Romans 3:23 Colossians 2:13-14 Jesus words on the cross, “It is finished” equals “Paid in full”, and the resurrection serves as the receipt! The resurrection testifies to the fact that Jesus has defeated the power of Hell, death and the grave forever. 2. Palm Sunday: A Day, A Doorway

The four Gospels give the biography of Jesus. Four different writers with four different perspectives. Yet all four, focus on the last week of Jesus life. 35% of each book is devoted to the last week. Matthew, Luke, Mark (Peter) and John, all felt we could not understand Jesus unless we understood this last week of His life. Palm Sunday is a Day and a Doorway. It matters because of the paradoxes revealed. A week that begins in triumph ends in tragedy. The Jews were expecting Jesus to overthrow the Roman rulers, but instead, He overthrew death, hell, the grave, sin and darkness. The last week signaled a paradigm shift for humanity. From cheering crowds to the weeping Christ. From joy to judgement. From waving palm branches to waving whips. Matthew 21 tells of Jesus cleansing the Temple. The Jews were expecting a Regime Change-they got a Revolution! Mark 11, the donkey takes up half the story. Why does Jesus need this donkey? Why does He get it in such an unusual way? This begs the question: What does He need from you? What do you have that no one else has to advance the Kingdom? Luke 19 contrasts the reaction to Jesus: a story of Mixed Reviews. John 12 is a preview of Coming Attractions; by tying Jesus' entry to Lazarus' death and resurrectionS, previews what Jesus will go through. John 12;23-24 Palm Sunday is not, and cannot be, just a day of triumph (He's King!), but also the start of His suffering (the only crown this King will wear is thorns). It wasn't long before those singing “Hosanna,” were shouting, “Crucify Him.” Philippians 2:5-11 Christ's trajectory- kenosis-downward emptying, then upward exaltation. The same path is required for believers today! The last week of Jesus' life is a tale of two basins: The basin Jesus used to wash the disciple's feet. The basin Pilot used to wash his hands of responsibility for this state-sponsored murder. The last week of Jesus life was a turning point, from action to passion. Things are no longer done by Him, but TO Him. Jesus most powerful work is done in His passion. Could it just be possible that our greatest contribution in life may be not through our achievements as usually defined but through our suffering?” This week culminated with Jesus dying between two felons. Jesus became the One who does not count, so He could rescue all of us who do not count. Today, we celebrate the day, and we walk through the Doorway! +++++++ You can find our service times on our website: https://www.anctally.com/ You can find sermon highlights on Twitter here: https://x.com/allnationstally

THE TRUTH ABOUT TITHING: TIPS OR TITHE GENESIS 4:1-7 Why did God reject Cain's offering and accept Abel's? It was a matter of the heart! Cain tipped God; Abel obeyed God. Do we have the heart of Cain or Abel? When it comes to our finances, who are we going to thank and who are we going to trust? What we do with our finances reveals the condition of our heart. Truth: God doesn't need our money; He wants our heart! Tithing is not about getting something out of us, it is about doing something for us! The account of Cain and Abel teaches us: 1. Tithing reveals the condition of the heart. An unholy hold on money divides every aspect of our lives. Blessed money unifies. 2. Tithing determines how much God can trust me. 3. Mark 2:1-12 The text is a story of four friends who went the extra mile to get their friend to Jesus. His situation was hopeless. There was no medicine, treatment, or cure. He needed something supernatural. Note: The four didn't try to ‘fix' their friend but took him to Jesus, someone who could ‘fix' him. The Bible doesn't name these four, but they loved their friend enough to get him to Jesus. It is amazing what can happen when we don't care who gets the credit! How long has it been since you have done something radical to reveal Jesus? What ‘roof' needs to be torn off your life so someone can see Jesus? Mark 2:5 ‘Jesus saw their faith'-faith that made them do something radical. The paralyzed man was brought for forgiveness but for healing. Jesus wants to address the sins of our lives before the needs of our physical life. When we do radical things to get our friends to Jesus, things can get messy! Why Does God Give Breakthroughs? For His glory (Revelation 4:11, Isaiah 43:7). To manifest His works (John 9:3). For His name's sake—we belong to His kingdom. 5 things about Wisdom in the Bible: 1. Earthly Wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:5-6) – Focused on human reasoning, limited. 2. Demonic Wisdom – Deceptive and self-serving. 3. Godly Wisdom (James 3:17) – Pure, peaceable, and full of mercy. 4. Jesus as Wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24) – The embodiment of divine wisdom. 5. Wisdom as a Spirit (Isaiah 11:2, Deuteronomy 34:9) – Can be imparted for divine insight and leadership. How Does Breakthrough Come? Through Wisdom (Proverbs 24:3-4). By Seeking God's Wisdom (Proverbs 2:6, James 1:5). By Overcoming Worldly Wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:5-6). By Walking in Godly Wisdom (James 3:17). Conclusion Breakthrough comes through faith, obedience, and seeking divine wisdom. Recognizing the enemy's tactics (fear, lies, intimidation) is crucial to overcoming struggles. Biblical examples affirm that God desires to bring supernatural intervention to His people. By walking in wisdom and trusting in God, we can experience the victory He has planned for us. +++++++ You can find our service times on our website: https://www.anctally.com/ You can find sermon highlights on Twitter here: https://x.com/allnationstally

Strength through Power Acts 1:8 Matthew 28:18-19 It is an amazing thing that God would choose to trust a group of quitters to take the message of salvation to the world. The disciples had all quit. They were discouraged, depressed, and defeated. Yet 40 days with Jesus and they had a change of attitude and perspective. That is what we all need, dose of Jesus. Our Mission is not to be man pleasing but Spirit lead. This requires us to: 1. Live by His Power! Colossians 1:19-20 MSG Requires the power of God to overcome our biases and prejudices. 2. Pray big prayers. Acts 4:29-31(NKJV) We risk missing the amazing things God has for us because we do not ask for them. Pray and praise, in the dark so that what God is preparing will be revealed to us in the light. Isaiah 54:1-3 How we pray and praise says a lot about what you think about God. 3. Exchange fear and self-doubt for strength and courage. Acts 5:29-32(NKJV) Fear isn't simply an emotion. The Bible tells us it's a spirit from the enemy (2 Timothy 1:7). God has not called us to something he has not equipped us for. 4. Prepare for new things. Acts 10:42-46 “God's Word is the most effective guard against fear”! 5. Position God's presence to guide your life. Acts 13:1-3(NKJV) You can't take the land until God takes the lead. We need to soak ourselves in God's Word because we can't follow what we don't know! Jesus told the disciples to stay in Jerusalem until the promise of the Father was fulfilled. That promise was “power from on high.” Luke 24:49 Jesus reiterated this command and promise in Acts 1:8. Holy Spirit gives us power to bring the strength to accomplish His plans. Three significant truths about His coming: 1. Holy Spirit has been poured out and promised to all believers. Holy Spirit wasn't just with believers, He took up residence in them. Acts 2:38 makes the promise of His power available to all who believe. The outpouring of Holy Spirit on Pentecost was the fulfillment of Jesus promise in John 14:16-17. Today, too many are involved with Christianity, but few are committed to the cause of Christ which is reaching the world with the Gospel. 2. God's plan is to spread the Gospel to all nations through the church. Matthew 16:18 Ephesians 3:10 Matthew 24:14 Acts 1:8 Ever since the birth of the church in Acts 2, the church's mandate is to gather, grow, give and go with the Gospel! 3. All believers should be impowered to be witnesses of Christ. The outpouring of Holy Spirit was not so believers could have an experience for self-edification but that all believers would be empowered to live on mission by telling His story! Power to witness only comes from Holy Spirit. Salvation of the world is the reason for the outpouring of Holy Spirit. Everything He does is to empower believers to have the strength to be His witnesses. +++++++ You can find our service times on our website: https://www.anctally.com/ You can find sermon highlights on Twitter here: https://x.com/allnationstally

Holy Spirit gives us power to give us strength to accomplish the plans of God. This strength is revealed through three miraculous signs. These signs are audible, visual and verbal. 1. Power Acts 2:2 2. Presence Acts 2:3 3. Proclamation Acts 2:4 ESV And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. The word for “tongues” gloce'-sah – language-specifically one naturally unacquired. Acts 2:5-7 “bewildered” means they were confounded and confused because they were hearing the praises of God in their own native languages. Acts 2:7 “And they were amazed and astonished, saying, ‘Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?' The reaction of the Jews to these three signs makes me wonder why we aren't more filled with awe, wonder, amazement and astonishment when we consider the mighty works of God. Acts 2:9-11 tells us Christianity is NOT a western white people religion. To evangelize effectively today, we must bridge cultural barriers and preach the gospel in one's first language. Question: Are we pilgrims or settlers? if the settler mindset dominates a church, we will not reach our neighborhoods or the nations of the world for Christ. It isn't just missionaries that need a risk-taking, comfort-disturbing, semi-nomadic, pilgrim mindset. We all do. Christ did not call us to settle in on this earth as it is. He called us to be exiles and sojourners on the earth. In one generation, the Gospel exploded everywhere! His Identity-Matthew 1:21 Jesus means Jehovah is salvation. Hebrews 2:10 He is the Captain of our salvation Hebrew Yeshua-The Lord is salvation Acts 4:12 No other name given under among men by which we must be saved. Jesus was a real human baby and God in the flesh. His cry broke 400 years of silence from Heaven and brought Good News to all mankind! 2. His intentions-Matthew 1:21 He came to save His people from their sins. ‘save' means to keep safe, to rescue from danger or destruction. Philippians 2:7-11 Jesus primary purpose in coming to this sin sick world was to die for His people. 3. His impoverishment-Luke 4:18-19 He came to “proclaim good news to the poor” Jesus understands poverty, weariness, hunger, rejection and loneliness-Hebrews 4:15 He endured all that mankind must endure and was without sin. 4. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16 PSALM 48:12 PSALM 22:3 What is the difference between thankfulness and gratitude? Thankfulness is a response to a ________________________________. Gratitude is a _________________________, a state of grace. Most of us have a story or stories of God's faithfulness that brought gratitude. Truth: God is attracted to grateful people. What do we know about gratitude? 1. Gratitude is never invisible or silent. Luke 6:45 When we are grateful, we will say it and show it. 2. Gratitude sustains joy and blessing. Psalm 9:1 The secret to joy is learning to remember all that God has done for you, especially in the bad times. 3. Gratitude begins when entitlement ends. 1 Corinthians 15:5 It is impossible to be grateful for something we think we are entitled to. Without God, what are we entitled to? God's mercy keeps us until God's grace finds us! 4. Grateful people can find a blessing or enlarge a blessing. Psalm 126:5-6 You have everything you need to do everything God has asked you to do. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. Money isn't prosperity; money is the byproduct of prosperity. Money without God usually destroys lives. 1 Timothy 6:9-10 PROSPERITY IS RECOGNIZING THAT YOU ARE A STEWARD OF GOD'S FINANCES. When God is your source, He will supply all your needs. Philippians 4:19 He supplies not only finances but peace, joy, assurance, contentment… Stewards see themselves as accountable for what God has entrusted to them. Trusting God with finances is a baby step of faith. Luke 16:10-11 There are some Christians who are not seeing the gifts of God manifest because they never trusted God with ‘the least'. WHEN WE UNDERSTAND STEWARDSHIP, WE ARE ABLE TO BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS. 2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-10 The real motive behind finances shouldn't be to get, but to GIVE! It is selfish to think, ‘I've got enough-forget everyone else! You can't give away what you do not have. Genesis 12:2 God's Kingdom will not advance without God's people prospering. The Master key to Releasing Grace This lesson explores the concept of grace in Christianity, emphasizing how a revelation of God's unmerited favor through Jesus Christ leads to obedience. 1. Understanding Grace Key Scripture: John 1:16-17 • Grace Comes Through Jesus (John 1:16-17): The Old Testament Law exposes our need for salvation, but Jesus offers grace and truth, providing not just awareness of sin but also redemption. • The God of Love and Grace (2 Corinthians 13:14): God's grace is complete, encompassing the love of Jesus, God's Fatherly affection, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. • Grace Through Knowledge (2 Peter 1:2): A deeper understanding of God and Jesus increases our experience of grace. 2. The Beauty of God in Creation • God's Majestic Creation (Psalm 8:3): The wonders of the heavens and God's handiwork inspire awe and reverence for His power. Creation's beauty is but a glimpse of Elohim's Awesomeness and Majesty • Personal Reflection on God's Beauty (Psalm 27:3-4): A yearning to dwell in God's presence and behold His beauty signifies a heart captivated by His grace and majesty. 3. Responding to God's Beauty 1. The Beauty of Christ (Song of Solomon 3:6): The imagery of Christ's arrival, fragrant and glorious, evokes believers' worship and wonder. 2. We all have a choice after we all see his beauty. What will you do about it? Do we ignore it and go about our lives? Do we shout, or shed a tear? Or do we live in pursuit of seeing and being consumed by the awesomeness of his beauty and Majesty? Living in Love with God (Song of Solomon 1:4): A relationship with God begins with love and leads to a desire for intimacy with Him, rejoicing in His love. Caring for What God Cares About Just as love for a person leads to an interest in their values, love for Christ compels us to care about what matters to Him What is on our Beloved's Revealed Heart Desire and Will today, this week, and this year? +++++++ You can find our service times on our website: https://allnationstallahassee.com/ You can find sermon highlights on Twitter here: https://mobile.twitter.com/allnationstally

In the reset, He gives fresh Oil1 Pressure that comes with change doesn’t define us, it reveals us. When we know God’s grace is FOR us and we live in His favor we must: 1. Live in Forgiveness. Joseph’s brothers expected revenge, Joseph offered restoration. Joseph’s brothers expected punishment, Joseph offered peace. Joseph’s brothers lived in fear, Joseph lived in grace. 2. We must welcome others into our lives. Never build barriers instead of boundaries. Everyone has a place in the Kingdom of God. You don’t need the gift of goodbye! Just because the space is small doesn’t mean God is! 3. We are SENT! What if God brought us to this current season to send us out? What is God has brought us to this position to provide for others? FOUNDATIONS Luke 6:46-49 May 19, 2024 The foundation is the most important part of a structure. The depth of the foundation is influenced by external pressures against it. In this parable, Jesus says the same is true for human beings. In this parable, two men were doing the same thing, building a house. difference-the foundation. 1 Corinthians 3:11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5-10 Jesus is the Cornerstone, the foundation to build upon. The real test of your foundation is obedience to the commands of Jesus. John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands.” John 14:21 “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.” John 14:24 “Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching.” Many claim to be Christians but in reality are just functioning atheists. Giving lip service to Jesus but living their lives as though He doesn't exist.

The Law of Sowing and Reaping

Galatians 6:7-8 Who would dare to deny that actions have consequences? Yet Paul wrote, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked.” The truth is, we may give verbal assent to the Law of Sowing and Reaping but continue to excuse ourselves from its ramifications. Everyone sows seed, what is produced is determined by the kind of seed. Paul says there are only two kinds-no exceptions! You can't sow seeds of rebellion, immorality, lies…and pray for crop failure! Remember: Today is the father of tomorrow. The Law of Sowing and Reaping is unalterable, and it affects everyone in every area of life, family, career and pleasure. Deception is the root cause of sinful, indulgent lifestyles. Remember: 2 Corinthians 5:10 “We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” Three aspects of the Law of Sowing and Reaping: 1. We reap what we sow. Galatians 6:8 Remember: Sin takes you further than you wanted to go, Keeps you longer than you wanted to stay, and Costs you more than you wanted to pay. 2. We reap more than we sow. Matthew 13:23 Hosea 8:7 A small decision to do either good or bad, reaps a bigger crop for either joy or sorrow. 3. We reap later than we sow. Galatians 6:9 Some crops we reap quickly; others take a long time. But do not be deceived—their season will come. Every action, big or small, good or evil, is a seed. Jeremiah 17:10 “The Lord will give to every man the fruit of his doings.” When we stand before God Almighty for judgment, we shall give an account not only of our own acts, but also of the influence of our acts upon each successive generation. What will your influence be? What will be your harvest? That depends on the seeds you are sowing today.
