Gospel Daily with Josh Weidmann Fearless Faith: Trusting Jesus in Life's Most Hopeless Moments, Part 2Series: Unveiled Scripture: Mark 5:21–43, Mark 6:1–6 Episode: 1427 Scripture Summary: In Mark 5:21–43, Jesus performs two powerful miracles that highlight His compassion and authority over life and death. First, Jairus, a synagogue leader, begs Jesus to heal his dying daughter. On the way, a woman with a 12-year bleeding condition touches Jesus' cloak in faith and is immediately healed. Jesus acknowledges her faith publicly, calling her "daughter." Meanwhile, Jairus's daughter dies, but Jesus tells him, “Don't be afraid; just believe.” Jesus goes to the house, takes the girl by the hand, and raises her from the dead, stunning everyone present. In Mark 6:1–6, Jesus returns to His hometown of Nazareth, where He is met with skepticism and unbelief. Though they are astonished at His wisdom and miracles, the locals reject Him because of His familiar background. As a result, Jesus performs only a few healings and is amazed at their lack of faith.

Are you running on empty in youth ministry? Stressed, comparing yourself to other churches, and wondering if you're enough? It's time to start stopping. In this episode of Youth Worker on Fire, Doug Edwards gets real about the pressures youth pastors, volunteers, and parents of students face—and the powerful freedom that comes when you stop trying to do it all, stop overthinking, and stop carrying results that only God can handle. Drawing from Joshua 1:9 and 1 Kings 19, Doug reveals how courage, rest, and obedience—not fear, comparison, or perfection—are what truly transform student ministry. You'll learn: ✅ Why God uses willing hearts, not polished performances. ✅ How to stop overthinking the gospel and simply ask, “Would you like to invite Jesus into your heart?” ✅ What Elijah's cave story teaches us about burnout, rest, and God's gentle whisper. ✅ Why comparing your ministry to others steals your joy and effectiveness. ✅ How to let go of fear and lead with courage.

Many become filled with fear as it approaches. That sense of fear causes them to stop doing the things which are critical to living a full life. They stop laughing, giving and being kind. They forget how to “keep it real.”In his newest book, Keep On Keeping On, Dr. Mark Rutland explores the keys to making the most out of life as we age. With humorous stories, he has crafted the “gold standard” for making the most of our “golden years.” In this episode of Finish Strong, he shares many of those stories. Be prepared to laugh and learn. After hanging out with Mark, you'll want to face the rest of your life with a renewed sense of energy and purpose. In this episode of Uncommon Sense, we're talking about Tucker Carlson's highly discussed interview with Senator Ted Cruz. I'll be sharing my honest thoughts on how it went, why I think Tucker came out ahead, and what this kind of bold, unscripted, and unapologetically frank conversation means for the future of political discourse (spoiler: I'm all for it). We'll go into why I support constructive confrontation—yes, even when it gets "mean" and uncomfortable. The Founding Fathers didn't tiptoe around the truth, so why should we? They debated passionately because the stakes were high. The polite punditry act is wearing thin, and people are tired of political puppets mouthing safe lines. They're craving what we saw here: real conviction, real disagreement, and real questions. We'll cover why I believe Tucker won this exchange: from his biblical literacy to his serious concerns about foreign lobbying groups like AIPAC having a hand in U.S. policy. Ted got visibly nervous when pressed about Scripture, about Israel, and about U.S. involvement in a possible war with Iran. And the question still lingers: Why are we only now suddenly being pushed to act, when Trump was reportedly targeted by Iran two years ago? Most importantly, we'll reflect on Tucker's question—a theological one with deep political ramifications: Who is the real Israel according to God? Is it the modern state that does not believe Jesus is Lord and historically has required a denial of Christ for Jewish returnees? Or is it the true church—those who belong to Christ?I'll share my belief unapologetically: Israel is the body of believers in Jesus Christ. Not those who reject Him. Not those who crucified Him. That's a hard truth, but a necessary one in these last days when clarity very much matters.Faith shouldn't be a popularity contest.--https://www.thebrandsunday.com/products/the-bible-study-physical?srsltid=AfmBOorwAVEYslTlOGA-36_bHHjruNDOebEKWQ6M2115NZZwL8WG_ali

She offers her perspective on the biblical concept of submission in marriage, clarifying it as trusting her husband's earned leadership while retaining her voice and strength, rather than shrinking herself. Memorable Quotes:* "No one knows what goes on in that negotiating room... It's in my contract that I wanted to still be CEO and still make the decisions for the brand." - Monique Rodriguez* "When someone received the abundance of what we're complaining that we don't have, we tear them down for that... It causes investors...to now take a pause and say, 'Do we want to acquire black brands?'" - Monique Rodriguez* "I felt that God was using one of our darkest painful moments to birth purpose." - Monique Rodriguez* "Stop wandering and just go. Start going out there, meeting people...stop trying to worry or figure out how it's gonna get done because it can cause what you call analysis paralysis." - Monique Rodriguez* "No one can make fun of you for your own story if you have owned it and told it yourself." - Monique Rodriguez* "I never felt that I had to lose my softness to run a company... When you combine femininity, your power and your purpose, that is a great dynamic duo together." - Monique Rodriguez* "When women think submissive, it thinks like, I have to shrink who I am. I can't speak up... To me, it doesn't mean that I have to shrink who I am. It doesn't mean that I don't have a voice... It means that I can fully embrace being a woman and letting you lead because I trust you to lead." - Monique Rodriguez Follow Monique: https://www.instagram.com/exquisitemo/ Don't forget to subscribe to Brown Ambition for more inspiring conversations! When you think about Christmas, what is the song that is the soundtrack for this season of your life? Maybe it's Joy to the World, O Holy Night, or White Christmas. But have you ever thought about the very first Christmas song that was ever sung?A lot of us would probably think it's Hark! The Herald Angels Sing from Luke 2:14. But that wasn't the first Christmas song. The first Christmas song actually came nine months before that – it was Mary's song. This time of year isn't the same for everyone. There are many who struggle with the holidays and many who may be coming out of a season of suffering. Today on Fearless, I'm taking a look at Mary's story. I hope it is a reminder that, despite what we have going on, we are to be like Mary and praise God despite our worldly circumstances. Many years ago I had a decision to make - should I invite kids to my wedding or not? Brides can have such a vision for how they want their big day to go but do we allow this “picture perfect” dream to get in the way of showing kids the beauty of weddings and marriage? Bigger than this one day, do Christians cut children out of critical moments that can show them what we really hold dear? On today's episode I bring on a few behind-the-scenes friends to help me have a discussion about how we should “walk the talk” of what we believe as Christians. It's hard to believe Election Day is tomorrow. No matter which side of the aisle you're on, we can be sure there is a battle still in front of us – but the battle ahead is not ours, it's God's. We need to remember to trust God. We don't know what the results of the election will be, but God does and we can trust Him with tomorrow. We do not have to live in fear or with anxious hearts; we can stand in strength because we know who holds our future.Today on Fearless, I want you to be encouraged that we all can live fearlessly and confidently in the hope of Jesus Christ. If you've missed any of the episodes in the Election Series, I encourage you to catch up at https://cissiegrahamlynch.com. In this election process–no matter what happens in the next few weeks–our battle is not between political parties. It's the epic spiritual battle of good versus evil, truth versus lies. With the election less than two weeks away, we need to prepare ourselves and our families for what lies ahead. We have seen so much divisiveness in the last seven years and that isn't going to change on Nov. 5. No matter who wins our focus and priorities do not change. We need to be prepared to fight for our beliefs, our children, and for the future of our country. We need to stand for truth, fight against evil, and never compromise. Whether it's agenda-based curriculum in schools, gender confusion, and abortion, or religious freedom, immigration, and the impact of the economy, if we do nothing evil will fill the gap. Today on Fearless, I want to remind everyone that we cannot sit silent on the sidelines. If you've missed any of the episodes in the Election Series, I encourage you to catch up at https://cissiegrahamlynch.com. Many people think we shouldn't talk about religion and politics. But one of the most essential rights we have as Americans is the right to free exercise of religion. In fact, it was so important to the founding fathers that they included it in the first sentence of the Bill of Rights. This has been a beacon of hope to those in other countries where people are persecuted for their religion. Yet, so many in our country want to take those rights away – claiming separation of church and state.Today, on the #FearlessPodcast I'm taking a look at the stories of people in the U.S. who have faced persecution and not backed down. My grandfather, Billy Graham, once said, “Let us stand for political freedom, moral freedom, religious freedom, and all the rights of all Americans, and let's never give in to those who would attempt to take it from us.” We pray that a new generation of believers will rise up to stand for the truth of God's Word.If you've missed any of the episodes in the Election Series, I encourage you to catch up at https://cissiegrahamlynch.com.
