The Lords have played (and headlined) numerous festivals including the 2014 Summerfest Festival, 2010, 2011, and 2014 Warriors of Metal Festival, the 2015 & 2016 Powerfest Festival, the 2015 Midwest Metal Anthem Festival, the 2014 and 2016 Mead and Metal Festival, and the 2013 Ragnarokkr Festival. In 2017 the Lords started their own festival, Mad With Power Fest, with each year bringing greater success than the last! To see a Lords of the Trident concert is to experience a true “show” – medieval costumes, pyrotechnics, confetti cannons, guitars set ablaze, and of course, excellent technical musicianship. The Lords have released six full albums, three EPs, and two live DVDs, along with numerous compilation singles. On August 25th, 2018, the Lords released our latest full-length album entitled Shadows from the Past. For this release, the Lords have teamed up with producers Doug Olson (Engineer for Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Cheap Trick, etc.) and Dan Harjung (Engineer/Mastering Agent for Robert Plant, Live, Queensrÿche, Crash test Dummies, etc.) to create one of the best-sounding metal albums you're likely to hear. The Lords have also worked with producer Martin Atkins (Drummer for Nine Inch Nails, Pigface, Ministry, Killing Joke) for their previous EP, Plan of Attack. In late 2014, Lords was signed to Killer Metal Records out of Germany. In 2019, Lords was signed to Rafchild Records out of Germany, and released a special European edition of Shadows from the Past. We have photos, video, etc. under the “media” section above. A full biography of the band is also available under the “about” section. Let me know if you have any questions. Fang VonWrathenstein, lead vocalist of Lords of the Trident, goes by "Ty Christian" as a mortal alias because his barbarian name doesn't fit in the boxes for scantron forms
On this brand new episode of The Brutally Delicious Podcast we chat with Fang VonWrathenstein from the band Lords of the Trident. Our metal's so pure that only diamonds can scratch it, and usually the diamonds are the ones that end up getting hurt in the end. Our amps are so loud, Manowar knocked on our door and asked us to "please turn down". You think you're bad? While you're watching our sweep picking wondering how we bend space-time to fit all the notes in, we'll punch you right in the face without missing a beat. If you like battle, bloodshed, axes, fire, and losing limbs, then mosh your way to the front row and receive your free ticket to Valhalla. If you don't like these things – too bad. We're playing anyway, and we'll make sure to steal your girlfriend in the process. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/brutally-delicious/message

Imagine if you were alive 700 years ago and, while hosting a concert that was giving out free rats for every ticket sold, you accidentally caused the Bubonic Plague? What would YOU do? If you were Lords of the Trident, the most immortal, most metal band on Earth, you would go into hiding for the next 700 years and let the whole “Bubonic Plague thing” pass over and allow history to correct itself and remove you from any future history books so that you weren’t destined to have that finger pointed at you for all of eternity, right? RIGHT?! Well, yes, that’s right and that’s exactly what they did too. According to their website (which by the way is the most metal website on the Internet), their metal is so pure that only diamonds can scratch it, even though it’s usually the diamonds that are the ones that end up getting hurt in the end. Their amps are so loud that even Manowar knocked on their door and asked them to turn it down (please?). In the end, it’s probably just easier to succumb to their greatest, realize you aren’t worthy enough to gaze upon their might, and just sit down and listen to this episode to learn about the gear they use and how it helps them in battle. The band is made up of Fang VonWrathenstein (lead vocals), Socrates of Shred (lead guitar), Asian Metal (lead guitar), Captain Bluddbeard (lead bass), and ANALOG (lead drums). In case you didn’t notice, this band is so metal, they all lead and no one is lowly enough to be considered “backup". Fang VonWrathenstein (MORTAL NAME: Ty Christian), lead singer, front-being and business executive for Madison, Wisconsin based Lords of the Trident, graces us with his super metal presence in this first-ever, consumer-focused interview where we turn the tables and talk to the bands about their own backlines, what they use and why they use it, what’s up with his obsession with too many flames in music videos, and why we hope this episode will ultimately correct the imbalance in the world between good and evil, music and silence, and volcanos and unicorns. And yes, you are worthy enough to listen to this interview. Although just a disclaimer: your ears might bleed a little. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/behindthebackline/support
