“She's all I want to protect.” The dark saga that is Heaven's Feel enters its especially dark middle chapter with Lost Butterfly, the second film in the trilogy, and one that delivers an enormous, eventful, complicated slice of movie for us to break down. Filled to the brim with surprising revelations, major plot turns, and huge character moments, the film sees Shirou and Sakura becoming more and more entwined in each others' lives, and presents the viewer with a bracing, challenging depiction of abuse and the cycles of violence and pain it creates. It also sees ufotable at the top of their production game, with some of the most stunning animation ever committed to film, not just in the bravura action sequences, but in intense character moments that are rendered here so beautifully and powerfully that it's hard to imagine anyone making it through this film without a tear or two. It's another outstanding movie, and one that leaves us on the edge of our seats to finish the entire Fate/stay night project next week. Kat, Leo, and Bcom are back to talk about week 8 of the Winter 2019 anime season. Bcom tells all about the near-riot at his screening of Heaven’s Feel Part II. Kat and Leo met up with Brains and had a drunken good time. Leo breaks down an episode of Mob Runs With the Wind that turned very dark towards the end in a way that Kat is really into, and which Bcom compares to Avenger’s: Infinity War. We move onto the actual Run With the Wind where Prince and Musa learn about their own personal reasons for running, and where we maybe finally learn who Hanako likes. Kat gets triggered by a cat noise the eldest Kemurikusa sister made, and we talk about the inevitability of lewding the kemurikusas, and some fox-eared merchandise we need to exist. We move on to Krone’s endgame in The Promised Neverland and begin to see the truly horrifying depths of Isabella’s control. We finally are introduced to the meme that is King Crimson in JoJo Part 5, and we honestly can’t remember large sections of the episode…weird. We learn some important advice for dating your sisters in Domestic Girlfriend episode 8, as Natsuo continues to navigate these stormy waters. We’re finally introduced to Miyuki’s imouto in Kaguya only to find out Chika ALSO has sisters. Can Kaguya possibly pander any more to Bcom? We end with an episode of where Dororo tries to show that kids can fight demons just as well as Hyakkimaru.Recorded March 20, 2019. New anime is dope this season.   News Konosuba movie will premiere on July 12th in Japan’s Aeon Cinema. Boogiepop at Dawn and Boogiepop Overdrive: The King of Distortion will be adapted into the anime with a 2 hour special in the middle of the season, as well as having additional one hour specials. P.A. Works Animated a League of Legends advertisement, directed by Shingo Yamashita. Lupin III will have another film releasing in Winter of 2019. This is separate from the special which runs the length of a feature film. Dropkick on My Devil will be receiving a second season.
