The choice for this week was unique and it was one that was certainly reminiscent of a game for Rick though it feels like he is confused about which one. But the movie is one that has great artwork, sound, and flow but the main protag did rub us the wrong way. But even with that, the movie is worth a glance at least.Next week's choice is Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? We are split on this one. Rick loved the show and gave him nothing but good things to say. They Movie had the same animation style as Avatar the Last Airbender and also had some inspiration from Rurouni Kenshin at the same time. But the story felt cookie-cutterish and was predictable but it did not detract from how much Rick liked it. Jack on the other hand did not like it because of the story or the Avatar style inspired animation. He had more negative to say about the movie as a whole.Next week's choice is Penguin Highway.

Sigh! Review(s): Penguin Highway, Shuffle! Opening Song: You by Yuria Closing Song: Innocence by Miyuki Hashimoto So, I will have to confess I had forgotten that Allison had reviewed Shuffle! all the way back on Minisode 2. And did not realize it until I was getting everything ready to edit. So hopefully this gives people a reason to listen to both minisodes :3
On this episode, Cat and Joe discuss and review a sci-fi coming-of-age movie chock full o' penguins, mystery, and dentist visits... that knows no rules. Penguin Highway is a fun and bizarre detour about a young precocious boy obsessed with research and a woman several years his senior who seems to be tied to some unusual happenings. This film was aptly described as 'Stranger Things in the daytime' by Variety magazine, and is directed by Hiroyasu Ishida, based on the 2010 novel by Tomihiko Morimi (who also wrote the novel 'The Night Is Short, Walk On Girl', reviewed in episode 10). The team have a lot to say about it. Available to stream on Amazon Prime, and can also be purchased to view on YouTube, Apple TV and Vudu, amongst others.

Today, we walk the path of growing up, and also penguins, with Ishida's Penguin Highway. The Anime Research Group is a weekly podcast about all the anime we never got round to watching. Episodes contain spoilers for early episodes of the shows, and ill-informed speculation on future episodes. There are a few instances of cursing. You can find us on twitter @research_anime . (I watch you listen) - I watched this movie with my friends and none of us understand why this movie even is.
Eine komplette Auflistung aller besprochenen Titel findet sich im Inhaltsverzeichnis: 00:00 - Intro 04:30 - Karakuri Circus 07:13 - Pokemon Sonne und Mond 10:16 - A Certain Magical Index III 14:13 - Slime Isekai 18:13 - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind (Part 5) 24:38 - Sword Art Online: Alicization 29:51 - Ace Attorney Season 2 33:42 - Captain Tsubasa (2018) 35:38 - Run with the Wind 37:45 - Fairy Tale: Final Series 38:14 - The Promised Neverland 43:39 - Kaguya-sama: Love is War 48:14 - Der Karl Marx Anime 50:35 - Mob Psycho 100 II 54:43 - Dororo 58:03 - The Rising of the Shield Hero 1:01:13 - Star Twinkle Precure 1:03:40 - Kemono Friends 2 1:06:05 - The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. Meine Damen und Herren!
Also in TERMINATOR, DIE ADDAMS FAMILY, BRITTANY RUNS A MARATHON oder ZWEI MISSIONARE. Amen.

What did you think of the Soul Eater finale?! Our hosts Kari Lane, Jamie Gray and Veronica Valencia break down the final 4 episodes of this classic anime. Maka as a weapon was SO COOL! Death and Stein were surprisingly useless. Watching the Kishin crumble is so rewarding and fun thing about them as a villain, some of his ideas not wrong - it’s his methods that aren’t great! Our hosts also review the new film from Eleven Arts, “Penguin Highway”, that is coming to theaters April 12th. Go to www.elevenarts.net to look for the theater nearest you. The film is a quirky and whimsical look at a summer in small town where penguins start appearing out of nowhere!
