Two bills in Colorado assault parental rights, and one dictates that a parent will lose legal custody of their child by simply refusing to recognize and affirm the child's new and often suddenly adopted “gender identity.” Glenn T. Stanton, director of Global Family Formation Studies at Focus on the Family, joins us with the horrendous details. The Gallup polling group recently released new data on a very interesting subject. They have decided that the LGBTQI+ collection of viewpoints is nothing more than an incoherent, undefinable absurdity of random political positions that really have nothing to do with each other. What they're telling us is, far from being a monolithic political force in our country, this media narrative of a group of people that share all of these commonalities, in fact, is nothing more than a man-made, artificial special interest group. How do we approach this revelation, that the whole idea of LGBTQ is, in fact, meaningless; what one writer called, “an undefinable absurdity.”Glenn T. What happens when culture tries to redefine marriage, gender, and family? In this episode of theThem Before Us podcast, Jenn sits down with Glenn T. Stanton, Director of Global Family Formation Studies at Focus on the Family, to discuss why marriage still matters—especially to young people—and the vital role biological parents play in a child's well-being.They dive into the cultural shifts that have led to the decline of marriage, the false narratives surrounding family structure, and why the belief that "love makes a family" is a dangerous myth. Glenn also tackles the rise of gender ideology, the collapse of the LGBTQ coalition, and why reclaiming the truth about male and female is essential for a thriving society."Marriage is a clarifying relationship. You cannot have a civilization without marriage—that's how powerful it is.""Biology really does matter. The people who create the babies are the ones nature has equipped to be most effective, most committed, most safe for that child."

Understanding the purpose and design for sex should inform us on how we are to properly engage in it. According to the Bible, sex should only be used within marriage: one man, one woman, becoming one flesh for one lifetime. Anything outside of this is against God’s design for sex. Yet, our society believes that sex before marriage is not only permissible but expected. In this episode, we take a look at what Scripture says about sex before marriage and how cohabiting relationships are not beneficial for us. We hope that this will encourage you to live out holy sexuality and equip you to help others understand God’s design for sex.
