Bir hadîs-i şerifte Resûlullâh (s.a.v.) Ashâb (r.a.e.): “Tabiî yâ Resûlallâh, bildir” dediler. Resûl-i Ekrem (s.a.v.): “Çok soğuklarda dahî abdesti mükemmel almak, adımları mescitlere doğru çoğaltmak, namazdan sonra diğer namaz vaktini beklemektir.
Tafsir 01-03: The Development of Tafsir (Qur'anic Interpretation) | Insights from Shaykh Dr. Ahmad ibn Saifuddin | ZAD Academy Lecture | Blogpost by Zayd Haji #IslamicPodcast #QuranTafsir #IslamicStudiesBy Zayd Haji, Zad AcademyAssalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh. In this blog, we will explore the development of Tafsir, or the explanation of the Qur'an. Tafsir is essential to understanding the meanings of Allah's words. The science of Tafsir developed in stages and is based on the Qur'an, Hadith, the sayings of the Sahabah (companions), the Tabi'een (students of the companions), and qualified scholars.1. Tafsir of the Qur'an by the Qur'anThe first and most authentic source of Tafsir is the Qur'an itself. Sometimes, one verse explains another. For example, Allah says:“And those who believe and whose descendants follow them in faith — We will join them with their descendants…” — Surah At-Tur 52:21 (quran.com/52/21)This verse is expanded in Tafsir through context, indicating that Allah will unite believing families in Paradise, even if their ranks differ.2. Tafsir by the SunnahThe Prophet ﷺ explained many verses of the Qur'an himself. His Hadith clarify legal rulings, meanings, and context. For instance:“When one of you touches women…” (Surah An-Nisa 4:43, quran.com/4/43) Here, the word "touch" (lamastum) is explained by the Prophet ﷺ and companions to mean sexual intercourse, not just physical contact. This is proven by Hadith and linguistic analysis.3. Tafsir by the Sahabah (Companions)The companions, such as Ibn Abbas and Ibn Mas'ud, were present during the revelation of the Qur'an. Their explanations are based on firsthand experience. For example, Ibn Abbas explained:“…And He is the knower of the unseen and the most hidden (akhfa).” — Surah Ta-Ha 20:7 (quran.com/20/7) He said “the secret” refers to what you do secretly, and “what is even more hidden” means what's in your heart that you haven't even acted upon — yet Allah knows.4. Tafsir by the Tabi'een (Successors)The Tabi'een were the students of the Sahabah and also explained the Qur'an based on their teachers. Sa'eed ibn Jubayr and others explained difficult verses with great care. For example, they clarified the above verse (52:21) by saying Allah raises the ranks of the descendants to join the righteous without reducing anyone's reward.5. Tafsir by ScholarsLater scholars such as Imam al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir, and Imam al-Qurtubi compiled Tafsir using all the above methods. They used Arabic grammar and context without contradicting the meanings passed down.“Whoever says something about the Qur'an without knowledge, let him prepare his seat in Hell.” — Sunan At-Tirmidhi 2950 Grade: Da'if (Darussalam)https://sunnah.com/tirmidhi:2950This hadith warns against interpreting the Qur'an without knowledge or proper sources.Key Notes:Tafsir follows a chain: Qur'an → Sunnah → Sahabah → Tabi'een → Scholars. It must follow authentic and contextual understanding.Interpreting the Qur'an without knowledge is sinful.Allah rewards those who explain His words truthfully.May Allah grant us correct understanding of His Book. Ameen.
al-Mugheera Ibn Shu'ba رضي الله عنه (S62) When Muawiya رضي الله عنه faced the pangs of death he said thrice: “My day is for you, O Hujr [رضي الله عنه]”. When Hujr رضي الله عنه was imprisoned his comrades requested him to make a dua for their freedom. Hujr رضي الله عنه made the following, critical dua: “O Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى, grant us what is better, martyrdom or freedom”. Martyrdom was chosen. This dua highlights something very significant - that martyrdom was the best course for them, and thus Muawiya's رضي الله عنه view was correct. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى is The Greatest Judge. Many years prior to this, Ali رضي الله عنه said: “7 of your people will be killed, like those mentioned in Surah Burooj”. Hujr رضي الله عنه was referred to as Hujr al-Khayr, I.e the good Hujr. Some scholars say he embraced Islam in the year of delegations. Some say he was a junior Sahaba, some say senior Tabi'een. He was an ascetic, immense worshiper, always in wudhu and took care of his mother. To sum up the matter, the words of our Messenger ﷺ: “There will be a discord amongst my companions (رضي الله عنهم) and they'll be forgiven for they are my companions. A group of people will later research into this, and they'll enter the fire”.

Ask Chad Grassy Logic S3EP21 - Buds & Bottlenecks Guest: Tabi Amaya Summary: Today I sat down with Tabi, an old friend from our time at another company. To wrap it up, we talk about Canada's dip in international cannabis sales and why the reasons behind it might not be what you'd expect.
Family (S2) The messenger ﷺ: “Name your children after good people”. He (ﷺ) instructed a companion رضي الله عنه to name his son ‘Hamza'. Hamza رضي الله عنه was the messengers's most beloved uncle. Talha رضي الله عنه named his sons after prophets (a.s) [Muhammad, Ibraaheem, Musa], Zubayr رضي الله عنه named his sons after martyrs: [Urwa, Abdullah, Hamza]. Your name has an effect on who you are! Saeed Ibn al-Musayib's (r.h) [the most learned of the Tabi'een] grandfather had a negative name, meaning: “grief“. Saeed said due to this he himself had a flaw in his character! The messenger ﷺ instructed us to name foetuses in miscarriages; for they will be heavy on the scales on the Day of judgment! The messenger ﷺ: “Do not name your children after angels (a.s)”. If one has name with bad meaning, he or she must strive to change it immediately - as the messenger ﷺ did. He ﷺ once met an elderly woman whose name meant ‘Nightmare'. He ﷺ told her to change it immediately.

Dr. Michael Rydelnik is asked about the significance of 12 baskets of bread collected after the feeding of the five thousand. It led to a conversation about numbers listed in scripture and which number is the number of completion. Michael also taught Tom and Tabi the term Hapax legomenon, which means a word/phrase which only occurs once in scripture - and how you go about translating that word or phrase. The verse in question is Proverbs 29:21.Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshow/wmbwSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It's National Nutrition Month. Tom and Tabi know that nutritious food should make up the majority of our diet. But it is the pre-packaged, preservative laden, sugar soaked food that we crave - and consume. Our friend, Pastor David Williams with Discovery Church in Orlando, Florida says this is a familiar struggle that moves from the table to our spiritual lives. David encourages you to crave pure spiritual food from the Word of God, and also provides practical steps on how to add it to your daily spiritual diet.Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshow/wmbwSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Çünkü onlar ya Sahabe-i Kirâm (r.a.e.) Efendilerimizden veya Sahabe-i Kirâm'a en yakın olan Tabiîn'den bu fıkhı almışlardır. Durum böyle olunca insanın onlardan birine ittibâ etmesi onun için mecburiyyettir. Onlar (Dört Mezhep İmâmı) her hallerinde ve her tavırlarında Resûlullâh (s.a.v.)'i örnek almış ve onun sünnetinden asla ayrılmamışlardır. Eğer insan biraz İmâm-ı Â'zam Ebû Hanife (r.a.)'den, biraz İmam-ı Şafi'î (r.a.) Hazretlerinden, biraz İmâm-ı Mâlik (r.a.) Hazretlerinden, biraz İmâm-ı Ahmed (r.a.) Telfik, bilittifak Ehl-i Sünnet âlimleri tarafından reddedilmiştir. Çünkü Hadis-i Şerif'i onlar da râvîlerden aldıkları için râvîlerini taklid ediyorlar. Tom and Tabi have been looking at the political landscape within the culture and within the church. They began to wonder if there was a way for followers of Christ to engage in a conversation with someone whose political beliefs are contrary to your own - and not end up 'ghosting' one another at the end of the exchange. They share a couple of ideas that just might help us distinguish ourselves from the way culture handles that type of conflict.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
