It's the Governor! Both Lucy and I were surprised at how enjoyable it was to revisit this character. And we had fun trying to imagine whether we'd have been more like Andrea in this situation (intrigued and impressed with the Governor and Woodbury) or like Michonne (suspicious as f#$k).
Harry and Meghan's goal in their new Netflix series was “to speak their truth and defend themselves against how they have been represented in the tabloid press.” By contrast, the royal family told CNN that they will not be commenting on the series but will continue with business as usual. Here we have a remarkable case study on cultural engagement that applies far beyond its British context—and particularly in relation to how Christians will respond to the Respect for Marriage Act recently signed into law by President Biden. Erika shares with us some of the history of feminism and abortion and how it affects what is going on in our world today. Glenn Stanton is the director of family formation studies at Focus on the Family and spends a lot of time with those he disagrees with about issues of sexuality, but they are also those he calls “friend.” At the ERLC National Conference, his talk “Loving my LGBT Neighbor,” encouraged us as Christians to befriend, love, and speak truth to all of our neighbors because of the way Jesus did the same for us when we were opposed to him. We hope this message encourages you to reach out to the neighbors God has put around you. Subscribe here iTunes | Google Play | Stitcher | Tune in
