David Belford lives on a 22-acre property that is forested and mountainous, in West Virginia. He's had two Sasquatch sightings and both of them happened while he was on his property. He's also a team member of the WV Case Bigfoot Collective. That's a Sasquatch investigation team that an investigator named Les O'Dell created. Dave has been into Bigfooting for 10 years or more. What sparked his interest in Sasquatch was a documentary he saw that featured Dr. Jeffery Meldrum. When Dave had his first sighting, in June of last year, he was taking his dog, Ted, out at 3 AM. Bryan is an avid kayaker and camper who lives in Central Iowa. Bryan spends as much of his free time as possible enjoying the great outdoors. Unfortunately, he had an experience, in May or June of 2016, that tarnished his love of being in the great outdoors. When he had that experience, he and 13 of his friends were kayaking down the Middle Racoon River. Some of them were very experienced at kayaking, others were novices. The group was approaching a place in the river that could be dangerous for novice kayakers, so Bryan and his good friend, Mark, decided to paddle ahead so they could stand on a sandbar that would allow them to watch the novices navigate that dangerous stretch of the river. Before Bryan and Mark made it to that sandbar, however, a rock the size of a softball hit the water inches from Mark's kayak. Michael A. Kozlowski lives in Detroit, Michigan with his fiancé, Christen, and a whole gaggle of animals. Thomas Shay is the founder of the Northern Kentucky Bigfoot Research Group. Tom has been investigating the Sasquatch phenomenon since 1987. That's when he had his first Sasquatch-related experience. You see, in 1987, Tom was heading to see his girlfriend, in Carlton, Kentucky, on US 36, when he had his first sighting. It was 85 degrees out, that day, so Tom was surprised when he saw what he, at first, thought was a man in a fur coat, on the side of the highway. As he got closer, he slowed down to a very slow speed and slowly went past the subject. After creeping by the subject, he felt like he didn't get a good enough look at it, so he turned his car around, parked it on the side of the road, and got out so he could follow the subject down into a field. Moments later, Tom realized that was a poor decision. From that day on, Tom tried to learn all he could about Sasquatch. Dusty Ruth is the leader of BFRO expeditions in Ohio. He's also an investigator for the Northern Kentucky Bigfoot Research Group. As you can imagine, Dusty has spent untold hours in the field, on Sasquatch investigations. Of all the experiences he's had, in the field, the 3 sightings he's had are, understandably, the most memorable ones. Dusty had his first sighting in 2019, while he was on an outing with the BFRO, in Ohio. That sighting was the first of two sightings he's had through a thermal vision device, at night. After he had those two sightings, he had a daytime sighting. When he had that daytime sighting, he saw the Sasquatch without the help of any technology. He saw it with his unaided eyes. Tim and Eric Vogel went to see Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot in the winter of 1976, when they were in their teens. Seeing that movie really sparked their interest in Sasquatch. About a month after seeing that movie, during a big snowstorm, something happened one morning that completely set the hook in them, with regards to their interest in the topic. The storm had dropped about 28 inches of snow on the area where Tim and Eric lived, in Western Massachusetts, and when the looked out their window that morning, they saw a horde of people in their driveway. There were Bigfoot investigators, news reporters, and other people out there who were focused on a trail of big tracks that led across their property. It turned out to be a hoax that a kid in their area had been responsible, but the damage was already done. Tim and Eric couldn't get enough of the Bigfoot topic. It should come as no surprise that Tim and Eric decided to become Sasquatch investigators, years later and form Vogel Brothers Sasquatch Investigations. On tonight's show, Tim and Eric are going to share numerous sightings and experiences they've had. Gene Brock is an archaeologist who also has a degree in Anthropology. Gene decided to major in archaeology and minor in anthropology due to an experience he had when he was 13 or 14 years old. He was hunting, at the time, when it happened, with his father. Gene shared the details of that experience on Episode 501 and other Sasquatch-related experiences he's had over the years. Tonight's guest, Kathleen Tedder, had her first Sasquatch sighting when she was 4 years old and over the years, since then, she's had sightings in 7 different states. You see, when Kathy was 4 years old, her family lived in Alaska. One day, back then, she was sitting at the kitchen table, looking out the Dutch door, on the back wall of their kitchen. Suddenly, she saw what her 4-year-old mind identified as being a man-bear eating cherries, from a cherry tree outside. The “man-bear” was brown and about 8 feet tall. Being as young as Kathy was, she decided that her best course of action would be to run out to him and give him a hug. So, she got up and started to run outside to do that. She had made it 3 steps out the door when, suddenly, her father grabbed her by the seat of her pants and pulled her back inside. As her father was pulling her back inside the house, the “man-bear” did something she'll never forget. What it did made a lasting impact on Kathy that she's still moved by to this day. Before she went to the cabin, to celebrate her birthday, her family and friends knew Debbie had always wanted to go to the Hocking Hills and rent a cabin. She had heard so much about the beautiful scenery in the Hocking Hills and all the caves there so, for the longest time, she wanted to go take it all in. To celebrate her birthday in 2020, which was and is on October 31st, her family booked a cabin there that they all could go stay in, Halloween weekend that year, to celebrate Debbie's birthday that year. While it's true that the Hocking Hills are known to have beautiful scenery, caves, and a lot of other great things to offer, they're also known to have a healthy population of Sasquatch living in them. Tonight's guest, Chris, had his first Bigfoot-related experience in 1989. As you'll hear, if you listen to tonight's show, many more were to follow. When Chris had his first experience with a Sasquatch, he was 19 years old, at the time, and had already spent a lot of time in the woods. The night he had his first encounter, he had decided to solo camp on a powerline section, not far from his girlfriend's house. After turning in for the night, he was laying in his tent when he started to hear branches breaking about 100 yards away. As he laid in his tent, listening to the commotion, he could tell that whatever it was, was approaching his camp. Making matters even more intense was the fact Chris could hear that, whatever it was, it was walking bipedally. Things were about to get much more intense! Tonight's guests, Montra Withers and Kyle Gibson, have had Bigfoot sightings in California and Washington State. Montra had her sighting in the late 70's, in Tuolumne County, California. She'd gone on a camping trip with her parents, in their travel trailer. They found a nice camping spot to park their travel trailer and they stayed there for two weeks. Early one afternoon, Montra walked down a footpath, looking for a friend she had made while she and her family had been staying at that campsite, and wound up having way more excitement than she had bargained for. What happened next frightened Montra so much, she ran all the way back to he family's trailer and stayed inside the trailer for the rest of their camping trip.Kyle grew up close to where the Yakima River dumps into the Columbia River, and when he was a kid, he used to play down by the water a lot. Close to the river, there was a forest where Kyle and his friends used to play and build forts. Right before dark, though, they'd head home. Toward the end of the days when Kyle and his friends would play down there, they commonly felt like they were being watched. From time to time, they would find bare footprints down there that were too big to have been made by humans. One night, after Kyle had gotten older, he and a friend of his had their first chance to see what had been responsible for leaving those footprints. That was the night Kyle had his first Sasquatch sighting. That wasn't going to be the last time he saw a Sasquatch and the day Montra had her sighting, in the late 70's, wasn't going to be the last time she saw one either. Tonight's guest, Tristan Yolton, is a Sasquatch investigator who is based in Washington State. That's where he was born and raised. Tristan has been investigating the Sasquatch phenomenon for 10 years now, but he doesn't think he's had a confirmation sighting, as he puts it. I'd beg to differ. You see, Tristan has had two experiences where he's seen subjects, in the woods, that he couldn't conclusively identify. What Jonathan saw is called a woodwose. The term woodwose is in reference to what is believed to be a mythological being that is characterized by an untamed, wild, and hairy appearance. To some, they're known as wild men. Others consider them to be the British equivalent to bigfoot.
