After that, the guys examine the small Major League Soccer slate from Saturday. Are the New England Revolution going to start rolling after notching their first win of the season? Can Minnesota United doing anything to stop their glut of allowing goals? How seriously do we need to start taking the Columbus Crew? Plus, did Real Salt Lake make the right decision in firing Jeff Cassar? Finally, Sean, Erk and Rachael discuss the big signing by the Chicago Fire of Bastian Schweinsteiger. Is he the missing ingredient in the midfield? Or is he going to make things a little too crowded?

Are you excited or nervous (or both) for the US national team’s Hex must-win on Friday against Honduras? To help you get through the week, the guys put together a comprehensive preview that includes interviews with Sebastian Lletget and Diario La Prensa’s US correspondent Eduardo Solano. But first there’s plenty of MLS news to cover, including Bastian Schweinsteiger’s arrival in Chicago, where the Fire hope he’ll help usher in a new era in club history. That’s not all, either, as Jeff Cassar became the first head coach to lose his job in 2017. What will Real Salt Lake do next? That’s still a bit of a mystery, but there are hints. Once that’s out of the way, Solano calls in to give an insider look at Los Catrachos, offer perspective on the changing profile of MLS in Honduras and make a prediction that might worry USMNT fans. Don’t worry, Lletget’s up next and Da Boy gets on the horn to give the American side of the story ahead of his first World Cup Qualifier and talk LA Galaxy and his position of choice. That’s all well and good, but what Andrew and David are really interested in is the new Power Rangers movie and Becky G’s role in it. In the mailbag, listeners offer up potential soccer rule changes, the guys try to help get an MLS watch party in Korea off the ground and an RSL fan offers up four-pages of complaints.

The guys abandon the broom closet for the open road, road tripping to Columbus for United States-Mexico (7:45 pm ET; FS1, Univision) in the opening round of the Hexagonal. Will there be another Dos a Cero to add the legend or will El Tri shed the burden of history with a huge result at MAPFRE Stadium? Jurgen Klinsmann has some big decisions to make. Should Jermaine Jones start? Who partners John Anthony Brooks? Will Christian Pulisic explode into the mainstream with a big performance? The guys are buzzing ahead of the game. Don’t forget to say what’s up if you see us in the parking lot or at the stadium! In the second segment, the guys get things started with a Rookie of the Year discussion. Jordan Morris won the award and deserves huge plaudits, but so do the other ROY finalists. There’s also big news out of Real Salt Lake, where Jeff Cassar found out he’ll stick around for at least one more year. Not so, in all likelihood, for Javier Morales, as it appears an era has ended in Utah.  The mailbag begins with a Terrence Boyd proposal, then a long-time listener has beef with the way the LA Galaxy eulogy affected his daughter. Apologies!

It was a weekend of high-profile returns in MLS as Didier Drogba and Jermaine Jones’ goals helped fuel wins for the Impact and Rapids. Calen Carr also makes his return to ExtraTime Radio as nature and family scatter the normal ETR crew across the country. Calen and David hit all the hot topics from the weekend, including the Red Bulls’ continued woes, FC Dallas's big Western Conference win and so much more. Only one team in MLS remains unbeaten. Real Salt Lake’s Yura Movsisyan checks in to chat about playing for some of the biggest clubs in Russia, playing for the Armenian national team, the decision to return to MLS, how Jeff Cassar's direct style plays to his strengths, and what it’s like playing with Joao Plata and Burrito Martinez. In the mailbag, the guys get the Coach of the Year conversation going (a tad early) and hear from some FC Dallas fans in England.

Vancouver Whitecaps are on fire! They're the form team in MLS right now and Saturday's 4-0 rout of RSL cemented their place at the top of the Western Conference. We're back with our first postgame show for a long time, picking over the win against Real Salt Lake and the last few weeks of action. Head coaches Carl Robinson and Jeff Cassar give us some thoughts from Saturday's match and we also look at who's been excelling, what depth charges have risen and who has sunk, and whether the quiet transfer window was in fact a good thing for the Whitecaps. And there's still time to look ahead to Wednesday's Canadian Championship Final first leg and hear from two of the 'Caps Canadians, Russell Teibert and Sam Adekugbe. Have a listen!

Adam, Jason, and Ben are back with an extra-long edition of Filibuster! We start off by talk about D.C. United's comeback victory over the Philadelphia Union. We talk about how impressive the comeback was, how they managed it, and the key play of Nick Deleon, Perry Kitchen, and Alvaro Saborio. We then have to talk about the first 188 seconds of the game, and we ponder why United has to come from behind so often this season. We then talk about the United States' disappointing showing in the Gold Cup. We talk about how losing in the semi-finals is not okey, despite the fact that other teams in Concacaf are getting better, and then go full-in on Jurgen Klinsmann: his lineup choices and his roster choices. We end with a twitterbox question and name some players we would probably include instead. Finally, we welcome on Brian Dunseth to talk about D.C. United's weekend game against Real Salt Lake. We talk about Jeff Cassar's 4-3-3 versus Jason Kreis' diamond, the Luis Silva trade, how Javier Morales is ageless, the phenomenon of good teams losing to bad ones, and how to gameplan RSL. Brian Dunseth is great, so give it a listen!

Vancouver Whitecaps have packed their bags and hit the road for six weeks, but fear not, the AFTN podcast will keep you close to the guys. In Episode 114 of "There's Still Time" we look back at the win over RSL and ahead to the Montreal Impact and the five game road stretch ahead, with audio from coaches Carl Robinson and Jeff Cassar. Will this finally be the game that sees Gershon Koffie become more consistent? Will Octavio Rivero get the big money move he seeks if he can't finish one on one chances? And just how much better and key can David Ousted get? The front four seems pretty set now (squad rotation aside) and it looks to be a South American affair. We chat with one of them, Argentine midfielder Mauro Rosales about his and the Caps' season so far, his injuries and does he prefer the number 10 role? Away from MLS action, the tightly clad ball girls Marianne and Gabby brought us the draw for the CONCACAF Champions League and the Caps will face old foes and new in Seattle Sounders and DC Olimpia. We hear from Whitecaps Club President Bobby Lenarduzzi about drawing the Sounders, travelling to Honduras and more. And there's still time to hear from Carl Robinson about the Caps' plans for the July transfer window with a busy end of year awaiting the team. Have a listen!
