Justin Cronin is back with another apocalyptic tale of adventure, woe, madness, and a crap ton of serious character development across a fantastical backdrop in the way that can only be done by Justin Cronin. As the cast of "The Ferryman" go forth on their own journeys, Stephen and Mark will take a detour up to Canada as they sample Glynnevan Maple Whiskey.

Welcome back to the show everyone! This episode brings us to the end of Black History Month, so we thought we'd focus a little more on some People of Color creative artists (in front of and behind the camera) who are making impacts in the world of cinema and television right now. What have we been watching? This week we found ourselves in full discussion on the power of 'BlackkKlansman' a Spike Lee joint, and how it affected us and the message it sends for today's society.Trade Talk has us going in to some of the new exciting casting news (Bridgerton season 2 anyone?), show announcements (new Fraser and a Craig Robinson lead comedy), through to updates on Ray Fisher's stand against on set misbehavior and misconduct by people in positions of power. The people spoke and we answered. We have more of the Shaopin Tsui episode for everyone. He gave us a great listener question, and we wanted everyone to hear it. It's a great discussion with points of view from two very different cultural environments. Rachael takes her time to discuss a magnitude of films by Black directors, writers, actors and female filmmakers. What favourites strike a chord with her and ones that offer a powerful message for all viewers. Definitely one to stick around for! It's a great episode to get involved with, don't be shy, please reach out to us on all major social media or email us to join the conversation!#woodenbullsonparade #SpicyMapleWhiskeyVanillaIceCreamfromacertainpointofviewpodcast@gmail.com
RUN Medal Chasers has introduced a virtual race series dedicated to supporting some great charities as well as some of our favorite Marvel heroes! So we had to run a few of the races while we were visiting Walt Disney World. The Boardwalk and Epcot resort area is one of our favorite places to run. We did the "Ready.Aim.Run 5K" as our second race in that area while we were at Disney in September. This is the one we ran for time, so we ran separately but Dana was there to cheer me on at the end in addition to the random strangers applauding us! The race was hot and humid but the scenery was amazing. The charity attached to this one is Kidz Outdoors. This organization connects families through outdoor activities and raises funds for children battling diseases like cancer. We were so happy to support a great organization and to run a Hawkeye-themed race... plus the medal lights up! So fun! EAT It is no secret that one of our favorite areas in Epcot is Canada... that’s right... Canada! But we’ve never been to Le Cellier Steakhouse. Until September! We snagged a lunch reservation, but it was such an indulgent meal that we split an appetizer, entree, side, and dessert. Beef Bourguignon Poutine was an amazing starter. So rich and tasty, it is a must when coming here. Aimee loves steak... ribeye is her favorite cut! This version did not disappoint. The potato salad was warm, and a unique take for us that we want to try to reproduce at home! The Maple Whiskey-glazed Brussels Sprout enhancement we ordered was sweet and tender. Maple Crème Brûlée ... a yummy dessert!! DRINK Le Cellier Steakhouse gave us the chance to try new beverages in Canada too! Especially because we could walk back to our hotel! Normally we drink Moosehead Lager after a race or indulge in La Fin Du Monde if we are in the mood for a beer that packs a punch! But this meal gave us the chance to try a classic Canadian Cocktail, the Caesar. It is related to a Bloody Mary but includes clam juice... trust us; it does not taste like seafood! It is delightfully spicy with a horseradish and Tabasco kick... Dana had a classic version with vodka, and Aimee had a version with Canadian whiskey! Try this at brunch sometime or when you are at Le Cellier Steakhouse if you get a chance. On episode 18 of SOMEWHERE IN THE SKIES, Ryan sits down with MJ Banias. This was a deep conversation that could only be processed with whiskey in hand. In this case, it was Maple Whiskey for Ryan, and a 15-year-old scotch for MJ. As a cultural theorist and peripheral student of philosophy, MJ runs us through his thoughts on the UFO topic, the UFO subculture, and the many ways to approach ufology as we move forward in this deeply enigmatic and unapologetic topic. What does ufology have to do with capitalism? Is there room for skeptics and debunkers when it comes to the UFO question? And just exactly how can we move forward without even connecting aliens to the UFO mystery? All these questions and more are asked in this booze-fueled episode that shatters the UFO mythos and picks up the pieces in a whole new light. Guest Bio: MJ Banias is a writer, blogger, and theorist with a background in Critical Theory, History, and Cultural Studies who critically and philosophically examines the weird, the strange and the anomalous. He was a former field investigator with MUFON, has been featured on multiple podcasts and contributes to Mysterious Universe and Rogue Planet. His work is also featured in a new book entitled UFOs: Reframing the Debate. He is also the creator of the blog, TERRA OBSCURA. This blog is aimed at critically exploring the culture, the people, and the ideas that shape what society considers inexplicable. Using aspects of philosophy, critical theory, and cultural studies, TO questions the common ideologies that form and inform our knowledge concerning bizarre incidents, anomalous paranormal events, UFOs, synchronicities, and other events people consider "strange."
