They begin with photos of Kim and Pete celebrating his birthday together in Palm Springs, The Flava Flav of it all, and discussing what they think the relationship means.  Then, a huge week in breakup news: Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, Jacob Elordi and Kaia Gerber, Batsheva Haart and Ben Weinstein (from My Unorthodox Life), and some speculation about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. Next, all things Tom Holland and Zendaya.  Finally, a debrief of Paris Hilton and Carter Reum's week long wedding celebration, Paris In Love on Peacock, and reports that he has a 9-year-old child.  Highlighted Black-Owned Business:  The Honey Pot Company thehoneypot.co instagram.com/thehoneypotco  Shop our merch: shop.commentsbycelebs.com KASHWERE CODE: EarlyAccess2021 Codes: Deux - Code: CBC for 20% off and free shipping at www.eatdeux.com Dipsea - dipseastories.com/CBC for 30 days full access free  Peloton - onepeloton.com Learn more about your ad choices. Last year I read the book Dune and compared it to the 1984 movie, and it just so happened the first trailer for the new version of Dune came out, so I spoke about that too.  If your interested, you can find my original Dune episode is here - in it I go into the story a bit more and where I though the new version would end.In this episode I talk about Denis Villeneuve's version, how it compares to what I can remember happens in the book, and what this does right, and wrong, compared to the 1984 version. If you enjoyed either episode please leave a review in Podchaser - it helps us grown and makes us look good.  Otherwise please review us wherever you listen to us.  You can also find us in the following places.  Subscribe and join the conversation with our community.TwitterInstagramLetterboxdYouTubeWe hope you have an awesome day wherever you are, and whatever your doing.Andrew, Isla & NieveSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/kwawwpodcast)

We come around this week to talk about Dune which has hit HBO Max and theaters so you can watch it in your preferred way. But before we talk about Dune, which is actually Part 1 of two different movies, we must do our world renowned segment, where we talk about the hottest and great or not so great trailers hitting the media world. Today we talked about Disney+ new trailer for Book Of Boba Fett, Disney's Lightyear, the new WIT Studio x Cloverworks anime Spy X Family, Netflix's Tiger King 2, and Netflix's The Witcher Season 2. After that, we get into Dune and start speaking on the different things we all took away from it. We all heavily enjoyed the movie, however we felt it really suffered from not having the second part ready to go right away or within the year as there was something missing from it. We talk about how Timothée Chalamet as Paul is kinda whiny throughout the entire movie, how Jason Momoa basically did his normal schtick as Paul's guardian/older brother character, and how despite being advertised very heavily throughout the marketing campaign for this movie Zendaya was barely shown. Next week, Da Binge Bois prepare for Netflix's live action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop by watching the original anime series that everything started with! This week we're traveling to the desert planet of Arrakis to cover Denis Villeneuve's latest sci-fi epic, Dune. We talk about everything we loved about this movie, and how a lot of the things it changed from the book made sense for movie format. We also probably get a ton of lore stuff wrong, so that's fun! Also, why we hate the mediocre success of sci-fi epics. (Recorded November 1st, 2021.) (Also also, here's a link to the essay mentioned around 55 minutes in. It's really long, but definitely worth the read if you have the time.)

Dune is a sweeping epic set way into the future, where various groups are vying for control of a planet's highly coveted substance. Timothée Chalamet plays a duke's son who comes of age and exhibits messianic tendencies. The cast also includes Oscar Isaac, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Jason Momoa. Sci-fi fans have been waiting years for director Denis Villeneuve's adaptation of Frank Herbert's novel to arrive, and it's finally arrived in theaters and on HBO Max. But was it worth the wait?
