We're back in town and catching up with a mid-week drop here at Breakfast All Day. First, we reviewed "Outcome," a star-studded satire from director, co-writer and co-star Jonah Hill. Keanu Reeves plays an A-list actor who must go on an apology tour when he becomes the target of an extortion scheme. This is not a good movie but it's got an incredible cast, including Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, Roy Wood Jr., Susan Lucci and Martin Scorsese. Streaming now on Apple TV. Then, as promised, we did a LIVE spoiler conversation about "The Drama." There's so much we didn't want to ruin in our spoiler-free review of the Zendaya and Robert Pattinson movie, but now that it's been out for a little while, it's time to go in-depth. Let us know your thoughts! Come back and see us on Friday, when we'll have reviews of "Lee Cronin's The Mummy" and "Mother Mary." Plus, we're doing our first Movie News LIVE! in about a month, so hang out with us at our Breakfast All Day YouTube channel Friday at Noon Pacific. Hope to see you.

In this episode of Previously On, Jillian Bonanne and her husband Tyler Branch are breaking down one of the best TV episodes ever, Euphoria Season 2 Episode 5 “Stand Still Like the Hummingbird,” which feels like one long panic attack as Rue is on the run. This episode is packed with nonstop chaos, devastating confrontations, and moments that had us holding our breath from start to finish. Since Rue is burning it all down, we're counting down our Top 5 Bridges Rue Burned in Episode 5 including Rue manipulating her mom and Gia in one of the most painful family confrontations of the series. Every moment feels more explosive than the last. We also break down the jaw-dropping moment where Rue exposes Cassie and Nate's secret relationship in front of everyone, her desperate attempt to steal medication from Fez's house, and the terrifying final spiral that leads her straight to Laurie's door with nowhere else to turn.Plus, we talk about why this episode might be the most anxiety-inducing hour of television Euphoria has ever delivered, the raw performances that show exactly why Zendaya earned multiple Emmys for this role, and how Rue's desperate run through the streets captures the feeling of trying to outrun consequences that are finally catching up. Between shattered relationships, brutal honesty, and Rue burning every bridge in sight, Episode 5 feels like the breaking point the entire season has been building toward. We're dropping a pod recapping every single episode of Euphoria leading up to the April 12th premiere, and then we'll recap each episode of Season 3 weekly. In this episode of Previously On, Jillian and Tyler are breaking down the emotional and deeply personal Euphoria Special Episodes - “Part 1: Rue” (Trouble Don't Always Last) and “Part 2: Jules” (Fuck Anyone Who's Not a Sea Blob) - and these episodes hit very differently than the rest of the series. As we continue our Euphoria rewatch leading up to Season 3, these specials give us a quieter but incredibly powerful look inside Rue and Jules' minds, shifting the focus from chaos to raw emotion and reflection. We dive deep into Rue's unforgettable Christmas Eve diner conversation with Ali, a scene that feels more like therapy than television, and easily ranks as one of the most powerful moments in the entire series. Meanwhile, Jules' therapy session reframes everything we thought we knew about Season 1, showing her perspective on love, identity, pressure, and the complicated dynamic between her and Rue. We're also counting down our Top 6 Shocking Reveals from the Euphoria Specials, including the truth about the harm Rue has caused her family, Jules questioning her femininity,  and the devastating parallels between Jules' mother's addiction and Rue's ongoing struggles. We talk about the tension between Rue blaming Jules and Jules feeling overwhelmed by the pressure of being someone's entire support system, and why these episodes feel more philosophical and emotionally layered than anything else in Season 1.Along the way, Tyler shares his signature Tyler's Takes, we discuss standout performances from Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, and Colman Domingo, and we break down why these specials are absolutely essential viewing before heading into Season 2. We're dropping a pod recapping every single episode of Euphoria leading up to the April 12th premiere, and then we'll recap each episode of Season 3 weekly. Will it be on June 13? Are the people already camping out at a particular Rhode Island resort? Will we even SEE any photos, or will they do a Tom-and-Zendaya? Yes, the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding frenzy is building and Clare Stephens is sifting through the data to decide whether anyone, at all, knows what they’re talking about. Meanwhile, Donald Trump is back to saying things that make us want to hide under our beds, but Amelia Lester’s found the perfect antidote to the chaos: 'Competency porn'. Whether it's the awe-inducing precision of the Artemis II astronauts or a nurse who is really, really good at their job, there is nothing more comforting right now than watching someone be genuinely competent at what they do. We’re asking: When the world feels like a dumpster fire, is watching collective brilliance the way to stay sane? Also, Succession star Brian Cox spent his weekend unloading some very unfiltered (and very unflattering) opinions on everyone from Margot Robbie to Johnny Depp. Holly Wainwright noticed that while Brian is being celebrated for his 'tell-it-like-it-is' attitude, women just… don’t do it. In other business, we're diving into the 'chicken ick'. That sudden, soul-crushing moment where you can no longer look at a poultry breast without gagging. Plus, of course, her personal feelings towards the unraveling of this story, and why everyone was a little bit wrong. Julia also discusses the true motivation behind this film, and why 'The Drama' is a must-watch, *especially now.* (This is what happens when we support original stories btw. More fresh ideas and more Zendaya on the big screen NOW!) Just like 'The Drama,' this episode is funny, deals with an uncomfortable topic, dares to feel empathy, and is led by a biracial girl in her 20s. "The Drama" is an American romantic dark comedy film written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as a happily engaged couple whose relationship is tested by an unexpected revelation during the week before their wedding. It also stars Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, and Hailey Gates in supporting roles. The film has received positive reviews from critics for its acting, direction, and screenplay. It has been a hit for A24 at the box office, driven especially by the audience's desire to know the big "reveal" that the film's marketing has brilliantly kept hidden. Haim, Athie, and editor Joshua Raymond Lee (who cut the film using Adobe Premiere) were all kind enough to spend some time speaking with us about their work and experiences on the film, which you can listen to below. Please be sure to check out the film, which is now playing in theaters from A24. Please note that there are SPOILERS throughout these two interviews. Thank you, and enjoy! Sean and Amanda open the show by tackling some movie news headlines, including the green-lighting of a ‘Weapons' prequel at Warner Bros., speculation that ‘The Adventures of Cliff Booth' could premiere at the Venice Film Festival, and the first trailer for 20-year-old Kane Parsons's highly anticipated horror film, ‘Backrooms' (1:07). Then, they cover ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,' which they found to be creatively and aesthetically bankrupt, and explain why they think it is an “evil movie” (13:56). Next, they unpack Kristoffer Borgli's untraditional romantic comedy ‘The Drama,' starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson (33:03). They break down why they anticipate a divided public reception, explain why they found the movie's flipping of rom-com tropes to be hugely successful, and fully spoil the movie by analyzing its central “twist.” Finally, they share a list of their top 10 favorite movie plot twists of all time (1:08:15).
