It was a wonderful chat between co host Emme Lentino and the talented songwriter, Meghan Williams. She is a California Bay Area Singer-Songwriter with broad roots spanning the Midwest, East and West Coasts. An old soul, Meghan sees the world through writers eyes and hears it to her own soundtrack. Her unique sound and lyrical style stem from vast musical influences ranging from Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B to Funk, Folk, and Country. Major influences include Lauryn Hill, Sheryl Crow, Aretha Franklin, Leon Bridges and Chris Stapleton to name a few. Meghan is a multi song award winner and semi-finalist for the West Coast Songwriters Music Association, a prior attendee of The Songwriting School of Los Angeles, and an active member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International. She floats naturally across genres in her co-writing with Indie Artists such as rising standout Lisa Heller and her independent songwriting as an ASCAP member, pitching her one of a kind songs to Publishers for commercial release. Growing up in a musical and faith driven family, Meghan began singing with siblings at home and in church from an early age. She continued singing in competitive choral and a cappella groups in high school and college and later learned to play guitar while honing her craft of songwriting. With a background in English Literature, a License in Clinical Social Work, a passion for people, lyrics, stories and an inherent sense of melody, Meghan is the girl you want in the room when bringing a song to life.

He reminds us that we are chosen by God – favored and beloved, and that we flourish and bear fruit as we are firmly rooted and grounded in Him. Isaiah 22:22-24 (AMP) “Then I will set on his shoulder the key of the house of David; When he opens no one will shut, When he shuts no one will open. I will drive him like a peg in a firm place, And he will become a throne of honor and glory to his father's house. So they will hang on him all the honor and glory [the complete responsibility] of his father's house, offspring and issue [of the family, high and low], all the least of the articles, from the bowls to all the jars. Matthew 3:17 (AMP) and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased and delighted!” Psalm 1:1-3 (AMP) Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].A Prophetic Nugget from “Daily Downloads from Heaven” by Meghan Williams is connected to this. It's called “Let Me Wrap You in My Favor.” 2 Peter 1:17 (TPT) Yes, Father God lavished upon him radiant glory and honor when his distinct voice spoke out of the realm of majestic glory, endorsing him with these words: This is my cherished Son, marked by my love. All my delight is found in him! Beloved, let Me wrap you in My favor and mark you by My love. For you are My precious child, and My delight rests in you. I want to lavish you in My glory, and root you in My truth. Embrace My love and hold on fast as My favor rests on you. You don't need to earn My love or strive for My approval. Simply walk in love with a clean, pure heart and know that I AM with you. You need not fear, or hold yourself back as you walk with Me, for I have made you just the way you are and I will love you for eternity.

On this show I'm virtually meeting up with Meghan Williams and Nathan Serrato of the Escondido Creek Conservancy. Meghan is a development associate and Nathan is their marketing and volunteer manager. We're going to talk about the efforts of the conservancy, how the pandemic has impacted their efforts and some of the special projects they have been working on. The Escondido Creek Conservancy is focused on the health and vitality of the Escondido Creek Watershed. Since 1991, they've helped to preserve thousands of acres of land. They also act as land stewards for some of North County's favorite places like the Elfin Forest. Their work isn't contained just acquiring the land, but also to creating safe outdoor spaces for the flora and fauna that inhabit that land, and places for people to explore and interact with the land. You can find out all the details and support those efforts at escondidocreek.org. Check out all of The Coast News podcasts on the new directory page, and become a monthly supporter of the Coast News! Be sure to read the latest Cheers! North County column. This episode of Cheers! North County was produced and recorded by me, Ryan Woldt. Jordan Ingram is my Editor in Chief. "The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses -- behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before you dance under the lights." You have to start somewhere, there's always a beginning and a price to pay. Rook, newbie, green ...... they all mean the same. A lack of experience ..... but not a lack of effort or hard work. In the first of our new Green Corner Series, which will feature amateur fighters or early stage pros, we talked with Meghan Williams, an amateur mma fighter from Pittsburgh, as she talked about putting in that work and learning the ropes of the fight game. Meghan is a BJJ Blue Belt out of Stout Training/Team Renzo Gracie Pittsburgh and also trains Muay Thai under Will Morrill. July 27th, she will test herself again in an atomweight fight at 247 Fighting Championships Brawl In The Burgh and looks to leave the cage with a statement victory and propel her into the beginning of her pro mma career. I have linked to my project, which is still in the very beginning stages, but please check out the design as well.   Yarn: Malabrigo Rios in the Chispas Colorway Needles: Size 6 Signature Convertibles   Crochet Provision Cast On   Knitting News, Notes and Events RakAlong You have until May 1, 2015 to post your finished objects. Make something for someone "just because."
