Lyrics: (Verse 1) She left in the silence between two sighs No slammed door, no bitter goodbyes Just a note on the table, a tear in the ink Now I'm drowning in memories too heavy to sink (Pre-Chorus) I replay our laughter like old movie scenes But the reel keeps breaking at shattered dreams (Chorus) If I could find her again, I'd rewrite the past Hold her like sunrise and make the moment last Tell her the truth I was too scared to say That she was my always, not just my someday (Verse 2) I walk through the places we used to roam Each echo reminds me I'm here alone I see her in strangers, I hear her in songs And wonder if she's wondering what went wrong (Bridge) I'd trade every promise I failed to keep For one more night where she falls asleep Beside me, believing I'd never let go But I blinked—and she vanished like snow (Chorus) If I could find her again, I'd rewrite the past Hold her like sunrise and make the moment last Tell her the truth I was too scared to say That she was my always, not just my someday Support us on PayPal!

Morgan Wade stands alone in her ability to dissect and examine human emotion through her visceral songwriting. Her 2024 album, Obsessed, was a solo-written opus, which No Depression declared, “She's without a doubt one of the finest singers in country and Americana music today, and this album is her best yet.” Now, Wade readies The Party is Over (recovered), a collection of songs old and new that continues the intense exploration of her psyche's recesses that she again wrote solo. As ever, the results are thrilling. Out now, The Party Is Over (recovered) connects Wade's past and present, showing she hasn't lost an ounce of her dedication to shining a light into the dark places where the truth hides out. Since debuting in 2021 with Reckless, Wade has found herself gaining considerable attention and admiration amongst her country and roots music peers as well as musicians in the rock and pop world. She's toured with everyone from Eric Church and Chris Stapleton to Alanis Morissette, Joan Jett and, most recently, Shinedown. Once of the most noteworthy and celebrated artists of her time, Wade has been spotlighted by The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, Forbes, Garden & Gun, People, Tennessean, Variety, and many more. Today on the show we discuss: Morgan's powerful sobriety journey, how she's learned to manage other addictive patterns, how she stays sober while touring, why fitness and discipline are cornerstones of her recovery, how sobriety has made her a stronger musician, what it was like touring with Alanis Morissette and Joan Jett, how she handles the comparison trap and much more. ⚠ WELLNESS DISCLAIMER ⚠ Please be advised; the topics related to health and mental health in my content are for informational, discussion, and entertainment purposes only. As Appalachians, we are mighty proud of Chris Stapleton, the 47-year-old Lexington, Ky., native who grew up not far from us in the tiny Johnson County town of Staffordsville in Eastern Kentucky. To date, Chris has won 11 Grammys, 11 Academy of Country Music Awards and 15 Country Music Association Awards.Besides that, he also has been named the ACM's Artist-Songwriter of the Decade, and not long ago Rolling Stone magazine included Stapleton among the “200 Greatest Singers of All Time.”Stapleton had written and/or co-written nearly 200 songs. He has six No. 1 country songs to his credit, including Kenny Chesney's “Never Wanted Nothing More,” Josh Turner's “Your Man,” George Strait's “Love's Gonna Make It Alright” and Luke Bryan's “Drink a Beer.” His work has appeared on albums by Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and so many others.About This Stapleton SongHistory lovers also have always populated The Flood camp, so it's not surprising that this is our favorite Chris Stapleton composition.“Can You Run?” is set during the American Civil War and tells the story of a young slave pleading with his lover to join him for a dangerous dash to the Union line so that he can join “the freedom line of the Lincoln soldiers.”At one point in the song, he tells her: You know I hate to ask so late But the moment's finally come, And there won't be time to change your mind. Can you run?Click here to read more about this wonderful work. Our Take on the TuneThe Flood's current iteration of “Can You Run?” has been eight years in the making. Randy Hamilton brought the song to the band in the spring of 2017. He already had worked out the basic arrangement in his head, but it took a while to get the instrumentation just right. For instance, Jack Nuckols, whose drumming is so fundamental to this track, didn't arrive on The Flood scene until a couple of years ago, about the same time that Charlie Bowen began learning a bit of banjo, so that his five-string could provide a kicky little counterbalance to the sweet soloing by Danny Cox and Sam St. Clair.Happy with where the song has come, the guys are pretty likely to want to include it among the tunes they record on the new album they hope to start work on this fall. Stay tuned!More From Randy? Finally, if you'd like to hear more tunes that feature Randy Hamilton's vocals, check out the Randy Channel on the free Radio Floodango music streaming service.Click here to give it a spin! Hour 1 of The Drive kicks off with Zach and Phil cross talking with Dover and Cecil. The guys discuss how we still have some questions about the Broncos even after seeing them go 3-0 in the preseason. Will the Broncos be able to have a legitimate run game? Zach recaps his experience at Chris Stapleton over the weekend. What were the guy's biggest takeaways from the Broncos final preseason game on Saturday? Will Bo Nix rely on Courtland Sutton too much in 2025? Does the Broncos run game still lack the explosive plays that we didn't see last year? What did the guys make of Shedeur Sanders' final preseason appearance? Was Sanders set up to fail by playing with 3rd and 4th string players that will likely not make the Browns roster?
In this episode of Talk of Fame, Kylie Montigney talks with Krystal King! At three years old, Krystal caught a snippet of Alan Jackson on the radio...and the rest is history. Country music was in her bones. She followed this love of music to college where she studied Music Therapy at Appalachian State University (home of Eric Church & Luke Combs) and worked as a psychiatric music therapist. Krystal combines early influences of artists such as Alan Jackson, Dixie Chicks, Lee Ann Womack, & Willie Nelson with modern likes of Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, & Ashley McBryde. Send us a textMeet MacKenzie Lee, a Boston-based singer-songwriter who's crafting a unique musical identity she calls "dark pop." Stepping into our studio with the confidence of someone who's found her authentic voice, Mackenzie shares the winding path that led her from childhood singing to college acapella performances and finally to her current work with Red 13 Records. What makes MacKenzie's approach fascinating is her refusal to be boxed into conventional genres. Drawing inspiration from artists like Billie Eilish and Lana Del Rey, she's equally influenced by comedic musicians such as Bo Burnham and The Lonely Island—creative minds who blend impressive musical ability with clever, thought-provoking content. This unexpected combination hints at an artist determined to create music that's both emotionally resonant and intellectually engaging. The conversation takes us through Mackenzie's formative experiences, including how her acapella background trained her ear to deconstruct songs into their component parts. "You really learn to appreciate every single piece that goes into a song," she explains, describing how this shapes both her listening habits and creative process today. We also discover the emotional significance behind the grand piano visible during our interview—a treasured inheritance from her grandmother, the only other musician in her family. After discussing Mackenzie's debut single "Bad Taste on Love" and her upcoming release "The Ghost of Us," we shift to the latest country music news, covering artists like Chris Stapleton and Miranda Lambert supporting Texas flood victims. The episode culminates in a spirited debate about the greatest vocal collaborations of all time, with listeners passionately defending their favorites from Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton to modern pairings like Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood.LinksJay Franze: https://JayFranze.comVirtually You: https://www.virtuallyyouva.com/ Support the show
Post Malone BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Post Malone has made major waves over the past few days, with developments that highlight his expanding influence in both music and business. Just last night in Salt Lake City, he made a surprise appearance at Sierra Ferrell's show, joining her for a live duet of their song Never Love You Again—a ballad from his Grammy-nominated country album F-1 Trillion. Not content to just sing, he also returned with a drum in hand to jam with the band on Ferrell's Fox Hunt, offering the crowd an intimate, candid Posty moment that's already become a trending topic among fans and the music press thanks to video clips circulating online, according to JamBase. On the business side, his most ambitious project yet landed in the headlines: Posty's, a 26,000-square-foot multi-level music venue and bar, officially opened on Broadway in Nashville. WBN News Nashville details how the space, complete with six bars, three live stages, a VIP lounge, rooftop patio, and even a vintage truck suspended above the main bar, merges classic honky‑tonk energy with Malone's modern rock-country flair. He described it as a place “where everyone can come together and kick some ass,” cementing his newfound status in both the city's country royalty and its business elite. Hillbilly Live and Hudson Valley Country report it's already a hotspot, with fans sharing their experiences on social media, from rooftop selfies to spotting Posty memorabilia and even rumors of Malone himself mixing drinks behind the bar on occasion.Meanwhile, he's still very much a touring juggernaut. The “BIG ASS Stadium Tour” has stopped in cities across North America, featuring not just crowd-pleasing stadium rock but moments of genuine fan interaction. According to Ticketmaster, plenty of these concerts sell out within hours, and attendees describe Malone's stage presence as “nothing short of epic.” And it was just announced that he'll headline the 2026 Gulf Coast Jam alongside Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, and Riley Green, news that's drawing heavily on his crossover appeal as “one of the biggest artists in music, period,” to quote Gulf Coast Jam's executive producer, as reported by Eagle Country 97.5.In business, his ongoing partnership with Raising Cane's continues to make marketing headlines, notably the hot pink, tattooed Midvale location and limited-edition merch pop-ups—an example of celebrity branding lauded by Utah Business as authentic and fan-driven, with real input from Malone. On social media, TikTok videos show Post Malone posing for post-show selfies, with fan-shot clips from his recent gigs often going viral—underscoring both his accessibility and outsize celebrity in the digital age.Headlines this week encapsulate the moment: “Post Malone Pops Up With Sierra Ferrell in Salt Lake City,” “Post Malone's Bar on Broadway Is Now Open For Business in Nashville…And It's Pretty Awesome,” and “Post Malone to Headline 2026 Gulf Coast Jam.” Each story proves the same thing—whether it's an arena, a packed bar, a brand collaboration, or country radio, Post Malone is everywhere music wants to be right now.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Send us a textWhat makes a country music legend truly important? Is it chart success, cultural impact, or lasting influence? Jay Franze and Tiffany Mason tackle these questions head-on while reviewing a controversial list of "The 25 Most Important Women in Country Music" that has them both fired up from the start. The hosts share their predictions before diving into the rankings, confidently naming Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire as the obvious choices for the top spots. What follows is a passionate dissection of the list that places newer artists higher than established legends, sparking genuine outrage when they discover Dolly Parton ranks only seventh while Carrie Underwood claims the number one position."Where's her amusement park? Where's her giving back kids books that can't afford books? Where's her charity programs?" Tiffany questions, highlighting how the list seems to prioritize recent commercial success over decades of cultural impact and philanthropy. The conversation reveals a deeper issue about how female artists are evaluated in country music and the often arbitrary nature of industry rankings.Between their good-natured banter, the hosts also cover breaking news from Nashville, including Morgan Wallen's youth charity work, an exciting potential Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton collaboration, and Australia's growing country music scene. They wrap up with listener submissions about the most underrated female vocalists, creating a show that celebrates women in country music while questioning who gets to determine their "importance."LinksJay Franze: https://JayFranze.comVirtually You: https://www.virtuallyyouva.com/ Support the show

Episode 324: It's hard to believe that Nashville's SteelDrivers have been making their unique brand of hard-core string band music for nearly twenty years. They were the vehicle through which many of us were introduced to the epic voice of Chris Stapleton, back when he and Mike Henderson co-wrote that band's high impact debut album of 2008. When Henderson and Stapleton had to move on, the band pulled its greatest trick, bringing on great new voices, growing bigger, and building a legacy that's like nothing else in 21st century bluegrass. In Episode 324 of The String, Craig talks with original members Mike Fleming, bass player and baritone vocal, and Tammy Rogers, the fiddler and harmony singer who now leads the way with the band's songwriting. We talk about the whole ride, up to the new album Outrun, out now on a revived Sun Records.

In Episode 4 of Flow, host Cam Cooksey brings the audience into a deeply reflective, soulful conversation centered on healing, surrender, and flowing with life as designed by God. Returning from GART recharged and full of gratitude, Cam plays a powerful AI-narrated compilation of Alan Watts' philosophies, anchored in themes of impermanence, pain, and spiritual release, then weaves it seamlessly into a God-centered framework of letting go and trusting divine timing. Cam challenges the audience to consider how holding onto pain, resisting change, and fearing the unknown stunts growth and spiritual peace. Through poignant metaphors, from tug-of-war injuries to rivers that don't mourn their past, he underscores how surrendering to God's natural flow brings clarity, strength, and transformation. In typical Cam fashion, the show is also filled with lighthearted chat engagement, hilarious sidebars (including his forehead humility), and a joyful Chris Stapleton interlude that ties it all back to his Arkansas roots. With his usual blend of authenticity, scripture, humor, and heartfelt introspection, Cam reminds us that peace isn't found in control, but in presence, purpose, and the courage to let life flow as God intended.
