When you plan your data center migration to the cloud, it's critical to consider how workloads will run to ensure maximum performance and availability. With Microsoft applications making up 60% or more of most on-premises data centers, more and more customers are moving their Microsoft workloads to AWS to improve performance, increase availability, and improve their security posture. You can use the VMware on AWS solution to bring the scalability and agility of the cloud to your existing Microsoft applications.   This session will provide an architectural deep dive on VMware on AWS for your Microsoft applications.  We will discuss the key architectural components of the VMware Cloud on AWS solution for your Microsoft applications.  Attendees will learn about best practices and receive practical advice on how to start using Vmware Cloud on AWS for their Microsoft applications.

Running Microsoft workloads on AWS is easy and can save you money. This session will cover how to bring your own Microsoft licenses to AWS, and then demonstrate using PowerShell to import your Windows Server image from Vmware or Hyper-V, configure Windows KMS with your license key, and launch an EC2 Dedicated Host. We will discuss ways you can use AWS Config rules to manage license compliance.
