"I wake up every morning in a bed that's too small, drive my daughter to a school that's too expensive, and then I go to work to a job for which I get paid too little. But on Pretzel Day... well, I like Pretzel Day." Plant that beet seed and get in the pretzel line—this week we're talking about Initiation! We dedicate this week's episode to this iconic episode from season 3. We cover all the major storylines, including Pam tracking Micheal's productivity, Stanley's love for pretzels, and Dwight and Ryan's sales call. And of course we mention all of the pretzel toppings, Cosby impressions, and Mose cameos that go into this episode. Then we head to the Conference Room where we talk jock jams and perfect personal pretzels before closing with a classic round of listener-submitted trivia! Look, just get in the coffin. Join your delightfully deranged hosts, The Mistresses of Mayhem, for a riotous romp through the world of heavy metal news and events. Prepare for laughs, headbanging, and probably some questionable life advice! This week, we'rediscussing the impact of the legend himself, Ozzy (Don't worry, he's just really committed to his beauty sleep.) Mistresses spills the beans on how Ozzfest turned them into a professional mosher, and reminding us that Ozzy wasn't just the Prince of Darkness; he was the OG weirdo who taught us that being authentically odd is cooler than fitting in. So, grab your black eyeliner and let's toast to the man who truly earned his eternal nap!But enough with the sentimentality! We've got fresh, ear-splitting tunes to get your head bobbing! We're spinning ILLUSIONS PLAY's new track "Into Infinity" – perfect for when you want to feel deeply introspective but also kinda like you're in a haunted house. Then, buckle up for Alarum and their track "Zero Nine Thirty" from the new album Recontinue – described as "A Masterclass in Progressive Fusion Jazz Thrash Metal." Translation: it's gonna melt your face off in the most sophisticated way possible. And because we can't resist a good tribute (especially one with a wink), we're cranking Ninety Two Degrees and their perfectly timed new single, "Masters Only Know," dedicated to the one, the only, Ozzy. Plus, we've got more sonic delights from UNDUN with "My God" and End Ever with "Ol' 13 (soberphobic)" to keep the party going! And because metal isn't just for listening in your pajamas, we're dishing on some killer live events! Is UNDUN joining the fray at Freaker's Ball 2025 in Great Falls, Montana? We're on the edge of our seats (and possibly our couches) after Corey Hayes dropped their name in the band submission bucket! Then, prepare your stomachs and your eardrums for news on Totfest 2025 in Missoula, MT, with 20 bands including blessiddoom and Ceres, and the first-ever COREFEST in Knoxville, TN – an all-ages extravaganza featuring QUIESCENT MANTIS, NINJAWITCH, BELFAST 6 PACK, and many more! So, tune in, turn up, and prepare for some serious laughs. What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen in a mosh pit? Let us know!New Tunes & Mosh Pit Must-Haves!Upcoming Mayhem: Festivals, Tots, and Core!

Movement is one of the most powerful ways babies learn about their bodies, their environment, and even their emotions. But in today's world of baby gear, screen time, and jam-packed schedules, purposeful movement often takes a backseat. That's why today's episode is all about why movement matters and how to support your baby's physical development with simple, intentional activities and play. To help us explore this topic, I'm joined by Dr. Allison Mell, pediatric physical therapist, founder of Tots on Target, and mom of four. Who is Dr. Allison Mell? Dr. Allison Mell is a pediatric physical therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience. She is the founder of Tots on Target, an online platform designed to help parents understand and support their child's gross motor development from birth through toddlerhood. Through her expert courses, resources, and social media education, Dr. Allison is on a mission to make developmental support accessible, practical, and empowering. It's evident that she is passionate about helping parents understand their child's developmental milestones without feeling overwhelmed or guilty. Through her work, you'll find that she teaches families how to turn everyday moments into powerful opportunities for growth, whether your baby is learning to roll, crawl, walk, or just explore the world around them. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and four children. What Did We Discuss? n this episode, Dr. Allison and I chick-chat about the biggest movement milestones in the first few years of life and what parents can do to support their child's gross motor development confidently. We discuss: What typical motor milestones look like in babies and toddlers Why “containers” (like swings and bouncers) may delay movement skills When to be concerned if a child isn't reaching a milestone on time How sensory processing and emotional regulation are linked to movement Easy, fun, and budget-friendly ways to promote healthy motor development What kind of play actually helps build physical skills, and what to skip Why movement is about more than muscles: it's about confidence, too When and how to seek physical therapy support if needed Dr. Allison also shares her story of building Tots on Target and what inspired her to bring expert-backed, judgment-free guidance to more families, especially those who feel stuck between “just wait and see” and “you need therapy.” Final Thoughts Whether you're cheering on your baby's first roll or chasing after a curious toddler, this episode is a reminder that every wiggle, reach, and stumble matters. Movement isn't just about milestones; it's about building confidence, resilience, and connection from the very beginning. With the right support and simple, purposeful play, you can help your child thrive in ways that last a lifetime! Joan: [0:16] Hola, Andreu! Joan: [0:32] I espantat? A vegades… No? Andreu: [2:35] Exacte. Per tant, us animem a venir perquè us volem conèixer. Lactation support should not be based on income bracket, however it frequently is. In this episode Katie Oshita and Elizabeth Montez-Garcia discuss how non-profit programs, such as Open Arms in Washington, can support indigenous families with lactation support. Podcast Guest: Elizabeth Montez (ILC, IBCLC) is an Anishinaabe and Latine lactation consultant, educator, and community organizer working at the intersection of Indigenous perinatal health, family wellness, and systems change. She is the founder of Flower Moon Families, offering direct lactation care, education, and culturally grounded support to families across Northern Michigan while also expanding access to education and care across Turtle Island. Elizabeth brings years of experience as Community Education Specialist and Clinical Lactation Lead at Open Arms Perinatal Services, where she has built upon the vision of Camie Goldhammer, MSW, IBCLC (Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate), who created the lactation program, by developing an IBLCE Pathway One educational and mentorship opportunity for rising lactation professionals of color.Elizabeth serves as the Indigenous Breastfeeding Community Liaison for Michigan WIC and as a board member at large for South East Michigan IBCLCs of Color. She is lactation faculty at Cedar Medicine School of Midwifery and has shared her teachings at various conferences including GOLD Lactation, with upcoming presentations for Lactivents, Alaska Native Birth Coalition, Best Starts For Kids King County, and National Indigenous and Native American WIC Coalition yet to come in 2025. A founding board member of Ogimaa and a planning team member for Indigenous Milk Medicine Week, Elizabeth weaves her clinical expertise with Indigenous knowledge systems, viewing lactation not just as infant feeding, but as a radical act of rematriation, community care, and generational sovereignty. Her work is dedicated to creating a world where Black and Indigenous families thrive, and where all babies are welcomed in communities that honor their sacredness and wisdom.Podcast Host: Katie Oshita, RN, BSN, IBCLC has over 25 years of experience working in Maternal-Infant Medicine. While Katie sees clients locally in western WA, Katie is also a telehealth lactation consultant believing that clients anywhere in the world deserve the best care possible for their needs. Being an expert on TOTs, Katie helps families everywhere navigate breastfeeding struggles, especially when related to tongue tie or low supply. Katie is also passionate about finding the root cause of symptoms, using Functional Medicine practices to help client not just survive, but truly thrive.
