Hour 4 of BMitch & Finlay features some Nationals talk with Mark Zuckerman and the guys picking their World Cup winners.
Newly released documents show that Jeffrey Epstein urged billionaire media mogul Mortimer Zuckerman to relinquish control over his personal and business affairs, citing concerns about Zuckerman's health and mental capacity. Epstein reportedly suggested that Zuckerman consider entering a form of guardianship or conservatorship, positioning himself as someone capable of helping manage or influence those affairs. The communication reflects the unusually personal and advisory role Epstein attempted to play in the lives of powerful figures within his network. The revelations add to a growing body of evidence showing Epstein's efforts to exert influence over elite individuals beyond financial dealings, extending into media, personal decision-making, and institutional control. Zuckerman, a prominent media owner, had already been linked to Epstein through prior disclosures showing attempts by Epstein to shape press coverage. Taken together, the documents suggest a pattern in which Epstein leveraged relationships with influential figures not just for access, but to potentially gain leverage over their operations and decision-making.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Epstein urged media mogul to give up control of affairs, citing health | Business and Economy | Al JazeeraBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

In 2003, Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein joined forces with a small group of high-powered figures, including Michael Wolff and Mortimer Zuckerman, in a bid to purchase New York Magazine. The group submitted a multimillion-dollar offer in hopes of seizing editorial control and rebranding themselves as major players in the media world. Although their bid ultimately failed—coming in second-lowest—the attempt reflected Epstein's broader interest in media ownership and narrative control. Not long after, he partnered again with Zuckerman to invest millions into another venture, Radar magazine, which fizzled out after only a few issues. What makes this story particularly disturbing is not the failure of the deal, but what it represented: two disgraced men with a history of predation trying to buy a platform that shapes public opinion. Epstein and Weinstein weren't just looking for financial investment—they were seeking cultural legitimacy and a shield from scrutiny. The attempted acquisition of a reputable magazine was a calculated move to soften their images and possibly bury or spin the stories that could one day undo them. It's a stark example of how the powerful use media not just to shape markets, but to rewrite their own sins.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:https://www.businessinsider.com/jeffrey-epstein-media-connections-weinstein-career-2019-7Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

That's right... The Washington Nationals are undefeated in spring training!
Mark Zuckerman from the Nats Journal discusses the big headlines from spring training.
Gratitude shows up in a lot of productivity conversations—but rarely as a practice that changes how we relate to others. In this episode of A Productive Conversation, I sit down with Joel Zuckerman, author of Gratitude Tiger, to explore gratitude as something we actively express, not just quietly feel.Joel has written more than 300 Letters of Gratitude over the past twelve years, and what began as a simple exercise has evolved into a life-shaping practice. We dig into why handwritten letters matter, how gratitude can move from introspection to expression, and why this practice benefits the writer just as much as the recipient.Six Discussion PointsWhy “Gratitude Tiger” is more than a catchy title—and what TIGER actually stands forThe difference between a thank-you note and a true Letter of GratitudeWhy writing letters of gratitude is a creative process, not an obligationThe seven pillars of expressive gratitude—and where most people get stuckDopamine, reflection, and why gratitude creates lasting satisfactionLegacy, ripple effects, and why you should never wait to write the letterThree Connection PointsGratitude Tiger: Creating Joy Through the Art of Impactful LettersJoel's WebsiteThe Productivity Diet Gratitude doesn't need to be complicated to be powerful. This conversation reminded me that one letter—written with intention—can deepen relationships, shift perspective, and leave a legacy that outlasts the moment. If you've ever thought about reaching out to someone who mattered in your life, this episode might be the nudge you need.
Elisa Nuyten is the founder and president of The Vega Foundation, a Toronto-based organization dedicated to supporting ambitious film and video art through commissioning, institutional collaboration, and long-term stewardship. Established in 2022, Vega has quickly become a significant force in the international moving-image ecosystem, partnering with leading museums and commissioning major new works by artists shaping the future of the medium. In this conversation, Nuyten shares why she sees film as a powerful vehicle for awareness—one capable of holding complexity, ambiguity, and emotional depth without slipping into didacticism. She reflects on her evolution from collector to foundation founder, her appetite for artistic risk, and her belief that supporting experimental work is essential to cultural and social progress.Together, Nuyten and Zuckerman explore how private foundations can operate as catalysts rather than gatekeepers, how to evaluate risk while remaining artist-centered, and why storytelling in moving-image art has a unique capacity to foster shared humanity. This episode offers a compelling model for collectors, arts leaders, and anyone interested in how bold artistic investment can expand what art—and philanthropy—can do.

In this episode, we chat with Ethan Zuckerman— a Public Policy, Communication and Information professor at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst— about his views on the present political climate and major movements occurring in reaction to the Trump administration. From the anti-ICE protests in Minneapolis to memes on the internet to the Boston Massacre, we discuss the various forms of resistance the public can perform in the face of adversity. Zuckerman also delves into the historization of mass movements and how their retellings, or lack thereof, can shape how we perform and learn about resistance. We end by circling back to a discussion of memes and AI as they influence how America views current events. Zuckerman leaves us wondering what America looks like and how the celebrations will roll out as we hit its 250th birthday in 2026. In particular, we explore what monuments and memorials might look like if they emerged bottom-up from the people rather than top-down from government institutions.
