Join Pastor Nick and Pastor Stephen as they introduce our upcoming sermon series, Godly Men, in this new episode! Together they will unpack a little bit of what Biblical manhood looks like and what to expect in the next few weeks here at Fellowship Church: What does Biblical manhood really look like? Why is it important to understand Biblical manhood in the context of the church and today's culture? Why does this series matter for everyone? What passages will we cover? As we prepare our hearts for this upcoming series, we're excited to explore and apply what God's Word says about Biblical manhood. Through this study, we look forward to deepening our understanding, strengthening our resolve to honor our Creator, and walking more fully in his truth.

New Sermon Series, Measuring What Matters This Sunday, I begin a new sermon series connected to our 2025 giving campaign, Measuring What Matters: Journey to Generosity. Part 1, "Imagine," is inspired by Jesus' concern for the crowds who are coming to hear his teaching. In his words, they are "harassed and helpless." They are desperate for good news, understanding, and someone who can point them toward a meaningful life. Jesus instructs his disciples to care for the crowds. Over the last 2,000 years, this same instruction has been true for the church, you, and me. The compassionate and gracious message of Jesus is reflected in the loving acceptance of all practiced here at First Community. As angry voices of division and fear continue to affect our culture, First Community's words of inclusive love are as necessary now as they were in Jesus' time. I'm looking forward to sharing this new series with you. It is a message for today!
This Sunday will kick off a new topical series called "Atmosphere Matters." In classic Sideris fashion, this title is not just a double entendre but a triple entendre. Hey family: Most of our lives are spent doing some kind of work. Some of us do what we love, and some of us do what we need to do to get by. In either circumstance, we have an opportunity to find great meaning in what we do. Whether we are homemakers, construction workers, sales people, or pastors, God has a purpose for us in the work that he gives us to do. Let’s grow together in how we see what we do at work as an extension of who we are in Christ. It's thought by many that to be a good Christian or believe in the Bible means we have to reject the findings of modern science, or if you're a person of science, there's no way you can believe in God. But what if God speaks to us in both the revelation of faith and and in the wonder of the natural world? We'll explore this and other questions in our next sermon series, “A Total Eclipse of the Sun: Science in the Service of God” Starting April 14 at 11 am.

We're praying this series unlocks a life-giving, formative experience for us all. We hope you'll journey with us.

God calls people from high and low places. God calls people to witness about the gospel message to the ends of the world. Often God calls the least expecting of people. In Luke 19:1-10 Jesus comes along one of the most despised members of society, a Tax Collector. Zacchaeus lived his life collecting taxes for the Roman Empire and was considered a traitor to his people. One encounter with Jesus and his entire life changed course. Join us this Sunday as we begin our New Sermon Series on God calling Unexpected People to live unexpected lives.
