Four courts. Four refusals. And Josh Duggar filed every single one of them expecting a different answer. His first appeal came in 2022 — denied. The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld his conviction in August 2023. The United States Supreme Court declined to hear his case in June 2024. And on June 1 of this year, Judge Timothy Brooks denied Josh's final motion to vacate — a Section 2255 filing that represented his last procedural avenue. Every legal door is now closed. The ruling was devastating. Josh had eight arguments prepared. His attorney Beau Brindley — who previously represented R. Kelly — came ready to challenge the conviction on constitutional grounds. None of it mattered, because Josh couldn't prove he mailed his motion by the deadline. The prison's own mail log showed no outgoing correspondence from Josh on June 24, 2025 — the date he swore he dropped it in the mailbox. One copy arrived thirty-five days late. The other, fifty-five. The postage amount was off. The printing looked like it came from an outside service, not prison staff. He offered no witnesses. Judge Brooks called the explanation a “magic bullet theory” and ruled his account “simply not credible.”Josh has also been transferred from minimum security at FCI Seagoville to the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth after accumulating three conduct violations and three sentence extensions — pushing his release from August 2032 to February 2033. His prison record reads like a man who has never been told no in a way that stuck. And that's exactly the point. The IBLP system that raised Josh Duggar was built to absorb consequences, not teach them. Confession equaled forgiveness. Authority figures caught you before you hit the ground. Tony Brueski traces the line from blanket training to the federal courtroom — and explains why this outcome was always the predictable one.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, peace talks with Iran were expected to begin in Pakistan on Tuesday, but recent reports from Iranian state media have thrown the meetings into doubt. The fragile 2-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran will expire on Wednesday, and there has been no news on extending the truce. Meanwhile Iran says they will not negotiate while under threat. Also mitigating the risk of excavating uranium, Iran's only leverage is their perspective on the US following their intentions, Democrat's disdain for a US victory over Iran, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer leaves the Trump cabinet as Keith Sonderling takes over and Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson accused the Supreme Court majority on Monday of overstepping its role to "wordsmith" a lower court in Washington, D.C., in a pointed break from her colleagues in a Fourth Amendment case about whether a police officer had reasonable suspicion to stop a man. Why do bad things happen to people? In Luke 13, some people told Jesus about bad events. Roman soldiers had killed some Galileans while they were worshiping. Another time, a tower in Siloam fell and killed 18 people. The crowd wondered if these people were worse sinners and were being punished by God. Jesus said no. Bad things can happen to anyone in our broken world. We never know when our life might end. His clear message was: “Unless you repent and turn back to God, you will all perish too.” He wants us to be right with God every day. Jesus then told a story about a fig tree that grew for three years but never produced fruit. The owner wanted to cut it down, but the worker asked for one more chance to care for it and help it grow. This shows God's mercy — He gives us many chances to change and bear good fruit in our lives. Next, Jesus healed a woman who had been bent over and suffering for 18 years. She praised God right away. But the leader of the synagogue got angry because Jesus healed her on the Sabbath day. Jesus called him a hypocrite for caring more about animals than about a suffering person. The message for us today is simple: Examine your own life. Where do you need to repent? Even if things feel like a mess, God offers you another chance right now to turn to Him and live differently.
God gave Jonah a second chance to go to Nineveh—and He's still a God of second chances. But getting another chance to obey only matters if we respond differently. God's grace isn't an excuse to repeat the same mistakes; it calls for real change. In this episode, Bucky explains why second chances come with responsibility, what true repentance looks like, and how God's mercy meets us even after we've blown it. His grace is so much greater than your failures. His greatest desire isn't your judgment but your repentance. The God of the Bible isn't just the God of a second chance—He's the God of the next chance.
After a painful failure, Peter returned to what was familiar—fishing on the sea. But in a moment he never expected, Jesus appeared on the shore and called out to them. What followed was a powerful encounter where a disappointing night turned into an overwhelming catch, and a broken disciple was lovingly restored. This message reminds us that failure is not the end when Jesus steps into the story. The same Lord Peter denied was the one who prepared breakfast for him and reaffirmed his calling. God knows how to restore, recommission, and give new opportunities to those who are willing to come back to Him.

This sermon explores the story of Peter's denial of Jesus and subsequent restoration, emphasizing that God never writes us off despite our failures. Rick Laine shares a personal story about disrespecting his mother-in-law at work and receiving undeserved mercy, paralleling Peter's experience. The message focuses on how Peter, despite being a devoted disciple, denied Jesus three times out of fear during Jesus' arrest. However, Jesus later restored Peter through a conversation by the sea, asking him three times if he loved Him. The sermon emphasizes that while we often focus on not getting what we think we deserve, we should be grateful for the times we don't receive the judgment we actually deserve. Instead, God offers grace, mercy, and second chances.

“Send Coach John a message”Found another simple, yet emotional and meaningful reminder for me from the Power of Positivity (@LIVEpositivity) where this truth was posted: “Every day is another chance to change your life.” Within every day there are many moments too. I've been doing more and more reflecting in the mornings with my coffee. First, I'm reminding myself each morning how much I love mornings. Getting my day started with some prayer time, reading some devotions, other daily readings to not only get me started but also to keep me grounded too. Secondly, it gets my day going in a great direction for the things I want to do and need to do. With me trying to focus a bit more on intentionally focusing on making the most of more moments, it's been eye-opening for me to keep working this way. Also remind ourselves that these “changes” don't have to be huge. They don't have to be posted about on social media. We don't have to share them with others. We just have to put action behind them. Please - remember this thought and remember it's the moments to connect with that matter which make up our days. Thanks for listening. “Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.” (Mark 16:7 NLT) Except for Judas Iscariot, no one failed harder during the events of Jesus’ crucifixion than Simon Peter, one of Jesus’ closest companions. His failure likely came as a surprise not just to himself but also to his fellow disciples. Of the twelve, Peter certainly seemed to have the most bravado. In the account of the Last Supper in Matthew 26, Jesus announces to His disciples, “Tonight all of you will desert me” (verse 31 NLT). Peter boldly replies, “Even if everyone else deserts you, I will never desert you” (verse 33 NLT). And then Jesus breaks the news that must have broken Peter’s mind: “I tell you the truth, Peter—this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me” (verse 34 NLT). Sure enough, a few hours later, while Peter was waiting outside the high priest’s residence for news of Jesus’ trial, he was spotted—and called out as one of Jesus’ disciples. Not once, not twice, but three times. And when people turned their attention to him, when he had a chance to make good on his promise and stand boldly with Jesus, Peter lied. He denied being a disciple. He denied even knowing Jesus. Not once, not twice, but three times. And what started with bravado ended with bitter tears of regret, failure, and shame (see Matthew 26:69–75). That’s why the announcement of Jesus’ resurrection in Mark 16 is so notable. Poor Peter was devastated by his own unfaithfulness and by the fact that he never had a chance to tell the Lord that he was sorry. He really needed encouragement. With that in mind, look at the words again: “Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died” (emphasis added, NLT). Isn’t that amazing? Here is the Lord directly responding to the doubts, fears, and regrets of one of His followers. More than the rest of the disciples, Peter needed reassurance. His risen Lord knew that—and knew how to restore his faith. The story of Jesus restoring Peter to service can be found in John 21:15–25. But let’s consider the takeaway from Mark 16. What can we learn from Jesus reassuring Peter? We can learn that failure gets the final word only if we let it. We can learn that what may look like the end of someone’s story is only the end of an early chapter of the person’s life. There’s still much to be written. And we can learn that not only will Jesus forgive us when we fail Him, but He will seek us out to give us a chance to make things right. That’s how much He loves us. In this message, Pastor Matthew turns to Jesus' words over Jerusalem in Luke 19 and Matthew 23. Jesus speaks truth that challenges people, yet His heart remains full of compassion. Pastor Matthew explains why Jesus wept, why people often resist God's correction, and how Jesus continues to offer peace to those who are willing to trust Him. The teaching moves through honest reflection, the danger of adding anything to Jesus, and the hope found in Psalm 118. This message encourages listeners to consider what needs to change, what needs to be surrendered, and how Jesus meets us with mercy every time we turn toward Him.If you'd like to watch the full message, you can find it on our YouTube channel:www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUfJzmV1C3o
