What happens when five men commit to meeting around a breakfast table every week for a year with open Bibles, honest conversations, and a desire to grow deeper in Christ? In this special episode of Chasing the Rabbit, Pastor Brooks is joined by members of his recently completed D-Group to talk about the journey of discipleship, accountability, Scripture memory, prayer, journaling, and the unexpected friendships that developed along the way. From early-morning breakfasts at Sunrise Restaurant to life-changing conversations about faith, these men share how God used a simple commitment to His Word to deepen their walk with Christ.Whether you've been curious about D-Groups, wondering how discipleship really works, or looking for encouragement to take your next spiritual step, this episode offers a candid look at the power of growing together. In this episode:What a D-Group actually is (and what it isn't)The value of accountability and Scripture readingWhy journaling became a game-changerHow discipleship happens through ordinary conversationsThe friendships that formed over a year of studying God's WordWhy you don't have to be a Bible expert to disciple othersPractical encouragement for anyone considering joining a D-GroupGrab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and join us as we talk about discipleship, growth, and what happens when believers commit to going deeper together.“Hopefully this wasn't the best season of growth in our faith—just the best one so far.” — Pastor Brooks

This week on Chasing the Rabbit, the pastors cover a little bit of everything—from thrift store treasure hunting in Hilton Head Island to wedding day disasters, anniversary memories, and why Jesus kept eating fish with the disciples after the resurrection.Adam shares his unbelievable thrift store find—a nearly brand-new Italian wool suit with an original price tag of $1,875… for just $30. The guys swap stories about weddings gone wrong (and right), from flower disasters and missing rides to the airport to clown-sized thrift store dress shoes and ripped tuxedo pants. Then they shift into Sunday's message from John 21 as Pastor Brooks reflects on Jesus restoring Simon Peter after his three denials. Why did Jesus ask Peter three times, “Do you love Me?” Why did He keep sharing meals with the disciples after the resurrection? And what does that reveal about grace, restoration, and calling? Also in this episode:Savannah thrift store strategy and hidden treasuresFunny and unforgettable wedding day storiesVacation Bible School promo for Rainforest Falls VBSThe beauty of Jesus restoring PeterFish, fellowship, and ministry around the tableWhy church potlucks still matterSome episodes are deeply theological. Some are deeply about milk bottles and mini cheesecakes. This one somehow manages both.As always, thanks for listening, and keep chasing the rabbit.

The dictionary defines tanking as deliberately losing or failing to finish. Jason delves into Mark Cuban actually saying that the NBA should embrace tanking. Cuban implied that teams should be more focused on the game-day experience and ticket prices than on tanking. Dre Baldwin, Steve Kim, and Jay Skapinac join the show, offering their takes on Cuban's comments, the notion that Michael Jordan could become the face of NASCAR, and the cancellation of Cam Newton's BET show, “106 and Sports,” after only eight episodes. This cancellation followed Newton's remarks about not having any attractive women in his life to avoid sexual relations with them. Danny Kanell makes his weekly appearance, opining on Kyler Murray, Travis Hunter, and Tyreek Hill. Jason closes the show by checking in on the journey of Pastor Brooks as well as the pastor's remembrance of Jesse Jackson.
