Sunday, October 12, 2025 – Secretary/Treasurer Pastor Brooks McElihenny is with us at Center Point to help us understand the “Perspectives of a Transition.” All churches go through times and seasons of transition when pastors sense a change in their assignment. During periods of change and transition, many people mistakenly believe that God is doing something to them, but instead He is doing something for them. Seasons of pastor transition are one of these times. Pastor Brooks emphasizes that the perspective you choose is crucial to the success of any transition. He encourages us to focus more on the message the pastor delivers than on the pastor himself. Every pastor has a biblical mandate (1 Timothy 3:1-7) to preach and live out the message they proclaim; even though they are not perfect individuals, they are called to be above reproach.
