Our Famous Friday Show features two special guests, beginning with former Phillies catcher Erik Kratz. We chat about his playing days, the challenges (and benefits) of being part of over a dozen organizations, and the craft of being a catcher. Kratz, who currently is part of the Phillies' broadcast team, also shares about how his faith in the Lord has been important both professionally and personally. Actor Amin (pronounced "AY-men") Joseph also joins the show to talk about the new movie "The Royal" in which he stars. The film is based on the true story of Willie Mays Aikens, the former Kansas City Royals slugger who hit two home runs in two different games in the 1980 World Series (which the Philadelphia Phillies won 4 games to 2, of course :)). Unfortunately, Aikens' life tumbled into drug addiction and being sentenced to the longest prison sentence ever given to a professional athlete in a drug case. "The Royal" details the long journey of Aikens as, against all odds, he seeks to re-enter civilian life and redemption--with God's help--with his estranged family, friends, the game of baseball and with himself. We cap off our show with yet another rousing rendition of "Now THAT'S Punny!" Belinda Young Bio Belinda stepped into the world of animal training in early 2010, while working as a veterinary nurse and being tasked with running puppy pre-school classes. In the same year, she was fortunate enough to attend a parrot conference and learn about applied behaviour analysis and learning theory from the likes of Dr Susan Friedman, Nic Bishop, and Jim McKendry. That was all it took to become hooked! In 2013, while completing her Certificate 4 in Companion Animal Services through the Delta Institute in Australia, she took the plunge and started a companion animal training business - Treat. Play. Love. This has been Belinda's full-time job since 2016, when she left vet nursing for good.  Through her business, Belinda works with families and their pet dogs, cats, and parrots. She especially enjoys showing people just how fun training can be with moden, reward-based training methods. Belinda works with clients on basic training problems as well as significant behavioural challenges, such as leash reactivity and separation anxiety.  In addition to working with training clients, Belinda has been employed to teach veterinary students at JCU Vet School in Townsville about parrot behaviour and training, has spoken at Australian conferences, and worked with vet clinics, doggy daycares, and other animal professionals to educate team members on a range of training and behaviour topics. Belinda relocated to Sydney, Australia, in late 2021, where she continues to offer one-on-one training services for all species of companion animals. Andrew Erwin and his brother Jon are the filmmaking team known by most as the Erwin Brothers. The Birmingham, Alabama born brothers grew up around college football and entertainment. Their father, a local news anchor introduced them to the television industry at a young age. As teenagers they began their career in sports television with ESPN as camera operators. After several years working in sports they transitioned into directing music videos and documentaries. They won music video of the year three years consecutively at the GMA Dove Awards working with some of the top artist in Christian, Country, and Rock music. They went on to produced the award winning 9/11 documentary The Cross and the Towers (2006).In 2010 the brothers shifted their focus exclusively to developing feature films. Their first feature narrative, October Baby (2011), was a coming of age drama about a young girl named Hannah (Rachel Hendrix) trying to find her birth mother. After a strong grass roots campaign the micro budget feature debuted theatrically in the top ten eventually landing on the front page of the New York Times.Andrew and Jon's sophomore release Moms' Night Out (2014), starring Sarah Drew, Sean Astin, and Patricia Heaton, was their first venture into comedy. The crowd pleaser had a successful theatrical run with Sony's TriStar and continues to grow its audience on dvd as a cult classic.Next Andrew and Jon tackled the epic true sports story Woodlawn (2015), starring Jon Voight, Sean Astin, Nic Bishop, and newcomer Caleb Castille. It was a deeply personal story for the Erwins. One of the characters in the Alabama story is their father, played in the movie by Astin. The duo continue to live in the Southeast as they write and develop stories of redemption and hope with a strong emphasis on their faith roots. The inspirational true story of Kurt Warner, who overcomes years of challenges and setbacks to become a two-time NFL MVP, Super Bowl champion, and Hall of Fame quarterback. Just when his dreams seem all but out of reach, it's only with the support of his wife, Brenda, and the encouragement of his family, coaches and teammates that Warner perseveres and finds the strength to show the world the champion that he already is.

Caroline Lorson is a survivor of the troubled teen industry. At the age of 14, she was forcibly removed from her home in Southern California by two transporters and was flown across the country to a lockdown behavior modification school in Upstate New York. Caroline stayed at this facility for 29 months and was stripped of all of her human rights and subjected to coercive thought reform techniques. It took Caroline years to recover from her experience and she now actively works to reform the troubled teen industry through the Breaking Code Silence organization and her podcast, Inside the Program. Breaking Code Silence is a movement organized by a network of survivors and activists to raise awareness of the problems in the Troubled Teen Industry, and the need for reform. Caroline shares some of the devastating experiences of survivors of the "High Impact" facilities run by World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools (WWASP) She goes on to reveal how the dangerous "Troubled Teen" industry remains unregulated because of political corruption and explains how the #breakingcodesilence project aims to put an end to it.
