In this heartfelt conversation, Dr. Zach sits down with worship leader, recording artist, and teaching pastor, Charles Billingsley, to explore the topics of leadership, calling, and the power of a quiet life. In this power packed conversation, Dr. Zach and Charles begin by reflecting on the upcoming Refuel Conference: a free, two-day conference at Thomas Road Baptist Church (Oct 6–7) designed to encourage and equip pastors, staff, ministry leaders, and you. Charles speaks candidly about burnout in ministry and why intentional moments of worship, rest, and learning matter now more than ever. He traces his story from a childhood on the road with his evangelist dad, to early mentors who invested in his calling, to seasons with NewSong, and years serving local churches from coast to coast. Charles explains how he reconciled platform and humility, seeing every song as a “four-minute sermon”, and why he chooses intimacy over immediacy, margin over hurry, and faithfulness over flash. Additionally, in this conversation, they unpack three disciplines for ministry: solitude (creating margin for God and people), study (Charles writes messages nearly word-for-word, then leaves room for the Spirit), and suffering (his harrowing COVID valley which included pneumonia, low oxygen, blood clots and how those moments became a school of worship where songs like “Great Are You Lord” and “Goodness of God” anchored his trust). The result is a raw, hope-filled invitation to abide in Christ, on the mountaintops and in the valleys, and to lead from overflow, not emptiness. This week we're back with the second part of that episode, exploring another Big Questions in the Classroom initiative, in conversation with seven educators who are advancing Dr. Billingsley's work through a collaborative research project called Religion and Worldviews. Together, these research leaders are not only introducing innovative ideas into traditional curriculum, but they're educating the educators in how to teach them. Our guests include educators Dr. Michael Reiss, Dr. Trevor Cooling, Stephen Pett, Sarah Lane Cawte, Gillian Georgiou, Maureen Cutler, and Katie Gooch. Is science fundamentally in opposition to religion, or do they just have little to do with each other? Is the way you engage with science and religion in your life informed by your core beliefs, or are your core beliefs informed by them? Do you think it's scientists or religious experts, or both, or neither, that are best equipped to help humans explore the meaning of life? People might find these questions to be provocative or controversial. But our guest in today's episode, science educator and researcher Dr. Berry Billingsley, was raised in a family culture of curiosity, so she's been asking these sorts of really big questions all her life. Now a professor in Education at the University of Swansea and the former Director of the Learning about Science and Religion Centre at Canterbury Christ Church University, Dr. Billingsley, as devoted as she has been to young people's science education throughout her career as a researcher, has built a body of work critiquing the way science is traditionally taught and breaking down the siloes between religious education and science education classes. The final chapter of Robert Smalls' life was eventful, and, at times, frustrating. He gained and lost government appointments. He won and lost political races. He weathered attacks on his character and attacks on his constituents. Through it all, he used his intelligence and agility to battle a system that tried – and failed – to take him down. Brace yourselves. This episode is chock-full of post-reconstruction politics. Boy, is it grim! And also a little… relevant? (Ew!) As South Carolina politics turned on its head, Robert Smalls emerged as one of the few Republican politicians still able to hold his seat. Unfortunately, Smalls' influence and popularity put a target on his back. Soon, his political opponents ensured that he was charged with bribery. The trial was an absolute mess. Judy also shares advice on finding answers and beginning the path to healing.Key TakeawaysAbandonment trauma can manifest in various forms, including being given away for adoption, abandonment through death, or abandonment through divorce.Forgiveness is not about excusing the behavior of others, but about giving ourselves permission to move forward and release the story that holds us back.Understanding the backstory and the trauma that birth parents may have experienced can help in finding compassion and healing.Researching genealogy and connecting with family members can provide a sense of identity and closure.Writing a book about one's experiences can be a healing process and leave a written legacy for future generations.Connect with Judy Fambrough-BillingsleyEmail: vestelle@atticuspublishing.comYoutube click hereAbout Judy Fambrough-BillingsleyJudy Fambrough-Billingsley had always wondered, “Who am I?” This basic human need to discover the answer began a lifelong quest. Longtime Sundial contributor Joyce Billingsley introduces us to her quirky Aunt Emma.
Kasey's horticultural experience started at a young age on her family's citrus farm in southwestern Arizona. This family influence helped her discover her passion for flora and fauna and their interactions in our unique desert environment. Her early understanding of growing crops guided Kasey to pursue a degree in Plant Biology at Arizona State University (ASU) with an emphasis in Urban Horticulture studies. After graduation, Kasey gained experience working in various parts of the landscaping industry, expanding her horticultural and landscaping knowledge. Her desire to share her passion for plants and to help improve the overall quality of landscaping delivered to property owners led her to found Harmony Horticultural Consulting in 2008, where she has become a trusted industry leader in providing solutions for plant health problems. Over the last 15 years, Kasey has helped landscapers and homeowners enhance their landscapes' beauty and vitality and has educated them on improved cultural practices such as water management, fertility strategies, and pruning techniques. Kasey's extensive knowledge and practical experience are invaluable tools to help clients manage their plant health and pest issues and keep their properties attractive and productive. Harmony Horticultural now has three consultants who service the Phoenix metro area.

In a unique twist, the Bestie listeners are invited to participate in a contest, interpreting an anonymous dream featuring shopping with ex-boyfriends and a tornado chase. Winners will be shared in an upcoming episode. The duo then engages in a lively exchange of cat naps, recounting dreams that involve Snoop Dogg requesting phone numbers, cleverly outsmarting an angry tiger, struggling to pay a restaurant tab, and discovering a finger-sized hole in a perfectly buff chest. Each dream unfolds with humor, wit, and unexpected twists, keeping the listeners on the edge of their seats. As the episode draws to a close, Mindy takes a poignant turn, sharing the fascinating story of Jojo Billingsley and her premonition dream about the tragic 1977 Lynyrd Skynyrd plane crash. The blend of whimsical dreams and a touch of eerie premonition creates a captivating and diverse episode that showcases the endless possibilities of the dream world in REMelations. There are a lot of people out there who pretend that they are all about criminal justice reform. They claim that their goals are to help mitigate the burden placed on poor people when they find themselves against the long arm of the law. However, not all of their motivations are pure, and some of the people who bray about criminal justice reform really just want to see the whole system burn, even if that means mine, yours and our families safety is put in jeopardy. In this episode we take a look at the decade long criminal run of the suspect and how he was allowed to roam free to prey upon the vulnerable all in the name of politics.(commercial at 11:20)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Decade-long trail of terror: The relentless crime spree that led to a regional manhunt for Jason Billingsley | WBFF (foxbaltimore.com)This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/5003294/advertisement

The first impeachment inquiry hearing into President Joe Biden kicked off on Sept. 28. The center issue is President Biden's involvement in his son Hunter Biden's business dealings. Former President Donald Trump's campaign confirmed that he will not be attending any future Republican primary debates. President Trump skipped the first two debates already. Meanwhile, the trial for President Trump's fraud case in New York will go forward as planned next Monday. An appeals court on Thursday rejected the former president's bid to delay the trial. Authorities in Maryland arrested suspect Jason Billingsley for the murder of Baltimore tech startup CEO Pava LaPere. Mr. Billingsley is a registered sex offender who just came out of jail last year. A gunman in the Netherlands opened fire in an apartment in Rotterdam, and then in a medical school classroom, killing three people. The suspect was identified as a student at the medical school. ⭕️ Watch in-depth videos based on Truth & Tradition at Epoch TV
