Philip Lynott, Jimmy Bain, and I can't relax.
Philip Lynott packed a vast amount into his 36 years. An instantly identifiable singer, charismatic stage performer and supremely gifted songwriter, the guiding spirit of Thin Lizzy combined the instincts of a wild man with the soul of a poet.Author Graeme Thomson joins us and talks about Lynott's unique childhood, his embrace of Irish history and mythology, and his fascinating contradiction between rock star excess and the shy, sensitive “orphan” raised in working-class Dublin. And, of course, Thin Lizzy.

Send videos/images to : rockprops@googlemail.com Back in the post Thin Lizzy days, Laurence Archer wrote and performed with Phil Lynott. Sadly, Grand Slam was cut short in its prime, with Philip Lynott’s untimely death leaving a hole in the fabric of rock music to this day. Laurence went on to make his name playing with UFO but always nurtured a long-term plan to rebuild the Grand Slam machine. And here it is — primed and ready. The new band (Laurence alongside Mike Dyer, Benjy Reid and Dave Boyce) honours the traditions of the band’s history whilst also looking to the future — classic tracks co-written by Lynott and Archer sit alongside a set of brand new songs that embody the same ethos of freedom, positivity and adrenaline that ran through Grand Slam in 1984. - THE SHORT CLIP (30SECS) AT THE END IS THE ORIGINAL PHILIP RECORDING OF 'DEDICATION' Original line-up Phil Lynott - bass guitar, lead vocals Doish Nagle - rhythm guitar Laurence Archer - lead guitar Mark Stanway - keyboards Robbie Brennan - drums Current line-up Laurence Archer - guitar Mike Dyer - vocals Dave Boyce - bass Benjy Reid - drums WEBSITE // FACEBOOK --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/talking-heads/message

She’s also the owner of Deluxxe Management & Ideal Music Productions and a member of the Musicians Health Advisory Board at Help Musicians UK. Diane started out in A&R at EMI Records before moving into artist management where she worked with Philip Lynott from Thin Lizzy. Her roster has included Brit/Ivor nominated Triple Platinum album act, Scouting for Girls, Beth Orton, Republika & Mike Scott (The Waterboys). Earlier in her career, Diane was Director of record producer Tony Visconti’s group of companies for five years. She managed Visconti’s Good Earth Recording Studios in London (clients included Duran Duran, George Michael, U2, the Sisters of Mercy, Altered Images and the Stranglers).
