Sylane's Keelyn Mangan is the IABA National Intermediate 60kg boxing champion following a split decision victory over Corpus Christi's Ella McDonald at the National Stadium in Dublin on Saturday (29th November 2025). It was the second big bout for the Celtic Eagles boxer after she had a unanimous decision win over Emerald's Catriona Moore the previous evening. The result is a reward for the hard work and sacrifice put in by Keelyn, who'd lost three national semi-finals in previous years but has been showing signs of a change in fortune in 2025. After yesterday's tragic death of 2 infants in Gainesville, Safe Kids Coalition of North Florida is working to provide car seat protection, and educate adults on proper use of the seats. Surveys say over 95% of car seats are misused. A special event Tuesday August 5th at the High Springs Civic Center will give advice to parents, and provide free seats for eligible caregivers. Also, National Night Out is a fun event with City officials, law enforcement and fire-rescue personnel. Car seat safety checks start at 5pm. Ciara Mangan, a woman who was raped at a house party in Co Mayo more than 10 years ago, spoke of the psychological stress following the 22-month long trial appealing the sentence of perpetrator Shane Noone, which a court ruling rejected.She has since founded a charity, Beyond Surviving, which supports victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence.Ciara joins Kieran to discuss.
