Your empathy is a superpower! This week, I'm chatting with Jennifer Moore. As self-described ‘pragmatic woo,' Jennifer Moore is passionate about intuitive mentoring and healing of highly sensitive, empathic women. As a former hot mess and world-class ‘awful-izer,' Jennifer understands how overwhelming feelings and energy can be for empaths—even from a young age. With knowledge, experience, and education that spans three decades, she is on a quest to teach empathic women to be a beacon for calm, peace, and healing in the world, as opposed to being an amplifier of stress. In addition to being an Amazon best-selling author with Empathic Mastery, Jennifer is one of 21 Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) International Master Trainers in the U.S.. She has been featured on many top-level podcasts including Raising a Powerful Girl, Soul Centered Entreprenuer, and Empowered Spirit Show. She also hosts her own magical podcast The Empathic Mastery Show. In her spare time Jennifer loves to hang out with her animals (and partner) at her home in Maine. Maria Fuller is the founder of Raising a Powerful Girl, and the mother of two daughters. Our conversation was all too relatable, as Alexa and Nancy are also raising daughters. How do we navigate the issues of self-image and self-worth in the #metoo era?
In this episode, I speak with Maria Fuller, founder of Raising a Powerful Girl, on many topics related to empowering our girls to realize the power of their voice and to find their inner leader.
The concept of Emotional Intelligence is one that we talk about a lot over here at Raising a Powerful Girl and our new platform for girls the Empowered Girl App. I thought today I would do a quick podcast geared to parents of boys and girls on what emotional intelligence is, the importance and how you can foster it in your home! With rates of anxiety, depression and even suicide rising for children these days a huge contributing factor is that children do not have the coping skills they need to manage the situations that arise in life and instead are left with these emotions bubbling and boiling inside of them with no way of being processed which can either lead to making poor choices as a reaction to the behavior or the child retreats, feeling “abnormal” or that there is “something wrong” with them leading to isolation. But before we can even tackle giving children coping skills to manage stress and anxiety we need to start at the beginning and this is Emotional Intelligence.
In this episode of Wellness Wisdom Camille interviews Maria Fuller, founder of “Raising a Powerful Girl”, an online education and community platform that connects professionals from all over the world to parents raising girls. Maria emphasizes the importance of breaking down stereotypes and helping women and girls find and speak their truth. She discusses how important it is that girls learn self-acceptance and self-love. It’s important to teach girls an emotional vocabulary and help them feel empowered to communicate needs, emotions, and strengths. By learning how to embrace challenges, rather than shy away from them, girls gain self-confidence and courage to do hard things. We can emphasize our daughters’ characteristics, strengths, and qualities rather than focusing on body image. Learn how to support your daughters to be unique and explore what their strengths and challenges are. Parenting is a great adventure! Listen in to gain tools to more fully enjoy the parenting journey. Help your daughters gain confidence in leadership roles and speak out for what they believe in!Raise your girl’s to be powerful and ultimately change the world!
Maria fuller has a BS in Health Science with a minor in Emergency Disaster Management and concentration in Women's Studies. Tune in to hear her advice on recovering from the recent destructive storms, and her years as a critical care paramedic before a permanent injury on the job caused her to change her life and career direction. She'll discuss how her experiences taught her the importance of Independence, Leadership and Personal Identity, which are the foundations of her work; what she's learned from her two little girls; and what inspired her to start Raising a Powerful Girl to help parents instill these qualities in their daughters so they can Change the World!
