Our ‘Where are They Now' episode with Max Wilson. The adopted Aussie is now back home in Brazil but he reflects on a chapter of his career in Supercars that he cherishes. How he thought the establishment were trying to intimidate him in the first season, having words with Garth Tander and a funny moment that followed when Max tried to square the ledger. He reveals how he shaped up to Russell Ingall in Canberra before he and 'The Enforcer' became friends. How his friend Luciano Burti introduced him to legendary Aussie driver manager Greg ‘Pee Wee' Siddle (who you can also find in the Rusty's Garage library) and how a fear of helicopters became very real over the north coast waters of New South Wales. Plus, memories of Sir Frank Williams, Patrick Head and testing for their famous F1 team to money talking at Minardi, loyalty in Champcar, winning the fiercely competitive Brazilian Stock Car title and more. Head to Rusty's Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and give us your feedback and let us know what you want to hear about in future Motorsport Brief episodes with Rusty.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Motorsport is chock full of great rivalries. In Australia, we have cherished decades of Ford vs Holden, with legendary names like Peter Brock, Dick Johnson and Bob Jane. They all had their heated moments but one duo gets pole position when it comes to argy-bargy: Mark Skaife and Russell Ingall.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Supercars have not ruled a mid season introduction to the Gen 3 in 2022. In 1998, Holden introduced the VT commodore, AVESCO and CAMS forced the two championship contenders to run the new cars, starting at the first ever Hidden Valley race. Russel Ingall got his season back on track in that round but was not happy that they were forced to run the new car. Larry Perkins after winning Sandown, decided that they would not risk the new VT's at the Gold Coast ahead of Indy and he and Russel turned up at Indy in VS cars. In this show, we hear from Chris Lambden former publisher of Motorsport News, Russell Ingall and Larry Perkins as we look back at the last mid-season change in Supercars.
