In this episode, well it could have gone on for two more hours chatting with Sara Weinreb about all things sustainable living. Sara is a freelance writer, strategist, and facilitator for businesses focused on social and environmental change. "I care deeply about wellness, stress reduction, mindful and sustainable living, and supporting my community with their physical wellbeing and the wellbeing of their businesses." With such a wealth of knowledge to share and our time limited we covered "Fast Fashion" and how giants in the quick turnover world are making more clothes than can actually be sold and how making a choice in your wardrobe can have positive effects in how things are made. Diving into the food world, we discussed greenwashing along with how to better spot what is healthier to snack on. Being extremely open Sara shared about how her chronic cancer diagnosis a few year back shifted her mindset and lead her to learn more about adaptogens and how to better set her internal self up for healing. A real pleasure getting to soak up so much from this woman this week. Enjoy! As the name of our podcast suggests, Sara Weinreb has cancer -- a rare form that not many people know about called Mycosis Fungoides. In March of 2017 Sara was diagnosed with this slow growth lymphoma, and, like many of our guests, took it as an opportunity to change things up for the better. She promptly quit her retail job and began The M List, a daily newsletter that’s kinda like the Skimm but for holistic-ish news. A freelance writer, she’s a truly cool lady that’s whip-smart and totally down to talk the big C. We know you’re gonna love this week’s ep.
