For the millions of Americans asking “What can I do?” to dismantle white supremacy comes an answer: Do the Work! An Antiracist Activity Book. The revolutionary antiracism workbook by W. Kamau Bell and Kate Schatz addresses institutional racism in the United States, giving readers a hands-on understanding of systemic racism, white privilege, and Black disenfranchisement–and what to do about it all. Kamau Bell is a dad, a husband, and a comedian. He directed and executive produced the 2022 Showtime documentary We Need To Talk About Cosby, and he is the host of the Emmy-Award-winning CNN docu-series United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell. Bell has appeared on just about every late night comedy show, daytime news program, and broadcast media outlet you can think of, and his writing has been featured widely, including in his memoir and manifesto The Awkward Thoughts of W. Kamau Bell: Tales of a 6′ 4″, African American, Heterosexual, Cisgender, Left-Leaning, Asthmatic, Black and Proud Blerd, Mama's Boy, Dad, and Stand-Up Comedian. He has two stand-up comedy specials, Private School Negro and Semi-Prominent Negro. Kate Schatz is the New York Times bestselling author of the “Rad Women” book series. She is the co-founder of Solidarity Sundays, a political action network that hosts monthly “activist house parties” in dozens of cities nationwide aimed at showing women how to take meaningful, coordinated political action. After the 2016 election, the group grew from one chapter with fifty members to over 200 chapters with more than 20,000 members. An educator for more than fifteen years, Schatz has worked with a wide range of age groups teaching Women's Studies, creative writing, and journalism. On September 24, 2022, the two came to the Sydney Goldstein Theater in San Francisco to talk with podcaster and author Anna Sale.

The first conservative guest in the history of Politically Re-Active opens up to Kamau and Hari about being a “Republican Translator,” how the GOP can win back Trump supporters, and America’s last remaining safe space: baseball. It’s a civil, respectful, aisle-crossing look at a garbage year in politics. Plus, Kamau defines a very gross word and Hari regrets a sexist joke.Keep up with S. E. The East LA band Las Cafeteras has a saying: “if we can’t dance together, we can’t move together.” The Chicano/Chicana group continues our discussion on the intersection of art and activism today: not just the fights and struggles of community movements, but the joy and laughter (and in their case, the dancing). And given perhaps the wildest weekend in this whole election, we brought in our favorite feminist muslim comedian Zahra Noorbakhsh to help us figure out what the hell just happened. Yes, we’ll talk about Trump and Billy Bush, the debate, and all the bizarre and gross reactions. Please check out more music from Las Cafeteras and catch them live! Hip-hop activist, journalist, and community organizer Rosa Clemente has a few good reasons why she doesn’t rock with the Dems. For one, they keep trying to kick her party – the Green Party – off of state ballots. And don’t get her started on Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy! In this episode of Politically Re-Active, the Green Party’s ’08 vice presidential nominee talks about the personal consequences of being on a political ticket, why the Green Party is forced to go after the presidency, and how the black and brown people of America are the biggest losers in the two-party system. To those who roll their eyes at “voting your conscience,” take a listen – Rosa might have you thinking way beyond this election...Find Rosa on the road as she travels the nation with her speaking tour, “Truth II Power”!
