John returns to recap a very fun week of football including a thriller in Boulder where USC held off a crazy rally by Colorado to beat Team Prime. We also get into the NFL action where the Chiefs had a real scare at MetLife but still survived the Jets on Sunday Night. Later, we segue to the 2023 Ryder Cup where Team Europe held off a serious rally from Team U.S.A. to win the tournament in Rome, Italy. Sighing to yourself, you get up off the couch and turn off the whistling electric kettle that you had put on awhile ago. Making yourself some tea and sliding back under the blanket on the couch, you continue to type away at the keys of your laptop, flipping through the pages of your math science textbook rather aimlessly. The Team's distant chatter and Ratchet's beyond distraught tones reach your ears as you listen off to the side. Jack, Miko and Raf had already gone home for the night, leaving just you, the Medic and the young black and yellow Scout with the Base all to yourselves. As the night wears on and sleep doesn't come easy, you find yourself silently observing and admiring Ratchet's handiwork and perseverance, and keeping an eye on Bumblebee, making sure he doesn't wander off. Cuing up some soft music, you allow the sounds of your surroundings and the Autobot Medic's tinkering to begin to soothe your heightened senses. Things will be alright. Optimus will come back to us, and Bee will get his T-Cog back... It'll just take time... And almost as if you'd been thinking aloud, you could've sworn you heard Ratchet mutter, "Time is something we do not have." You dismiss it though and instead, get comfortable on the couch. And soon enough, you find yourself drifting through a slightly restless sleep, not knowing what the future holds, but knowing this: Team Prime is the closest thing you've got to family. --Info-- I own no rights to any sounds used in this video! You'd found yourself surrounded by a slew of Decepticons awhile back, too panicked to even try to run. It had been game over for you in my moment, but then, out of nowhere, a blur of blue and red, accompanied by the sounds of shifting gears had flooded your senses. And when the chaos clamored down, a new, much kinder looking robot was standing tall in front of you, his previous blade of a weapon being whisked away from your view in an instant, instead, being replaced by a hand of sorts that gently picked you up and brought you out of harm's way. Optimus Prime had saved you that day, and now, thanks to him, you're a regular with Team Prime. Soon after your incident, however, three more kids, a bit younger than yourself, appeared at Base, also warming up to their strange new situation. Jack, Miko and Raf are all now also regulars with the Team and that puts you where you are now, listening to the surprisingly soothing sound of rain pitter patter against the roof of the old missile silo, the sounds of whatever Wii game Jack and Raf are playing meeting your senses. It's a typical evening, relaxing almost. But around here, who knows how long this momentary peace will last. --Info-- I own no rights to any sounds used in this video!
