This week I'm joined by WILCO's MIKAEL JORGENSON to discuss a film he knows backward and forwards: HEAVY METAL PARKING LOT! But that's not all… I also got to blow his mind with surprise guest JEFF KRULIK--The Co-Creator of HEAVY METAL PARKING LOT!!!We discuss Mikael's endless creativity and how he decides where to put his energy on any given day, the many hours he spent as a teenager making music on his IBM floppy drive computer, doing David Letterman-style comedy audio cassette recordings, how unusual it was to see Mikael with a computer on stage during his first Wilco tour (and how common it is now), how intense it was for him to join an established band like Wilco, tribalism in music scenes, how the documentary is both terrifying and comforting, how shirtless people outnumber people wearing shirts in this film, Mikael's religious upbringing and its impact on his fear of heavy metal, KISS being in children's TV shows, the genesis of Heavy Metal Parking Lot and how the film found an audience due to VHS tape trading culture, a reenactment of Zebraman's anti punk rock tirade, the undying loyalty of metal fans, Neil Diamond Parking Lot & Heavy Metal Picnic, Judas Priest's reaction to the film, Jeff trying to eat Judas Priest's food backstage, Sofia Coppola wanting to use the film in her work, reconnecting with the stars of Heavy Metal Parking Lot decades later and so much more.So let's smoke a joint so big it stretches across America on this week's episode of Revolutions Per Movie!HEAVY METAL PARKING LOT: https://www.heavymetalparkinglot.com/MIKAEL JORGENSON: https://mikaeljorgensen.com/JEFF KRULIK: https://jeffkrulik.com/WILCO: https://wilcoworld.net/REVOLUTIONS PER MOVIE:Host Chris Slusarenko (Eyelids, Guided By Voices, owner of Clinton Street Video rental store) is joined by actors, musicians, comedians, writers & directors who each week pick out their favorite music documentary, musical, music-themed fiction film or music videos to discuss. .See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

With the packs officially unified it is time to put the werewolf army to work! Jackson, Hayley, and Klaus disagree on how and when to use the army, but naturally Klaus's orders win out. Jackson struggles to be a good leader, instead focusing on Hayley, who is clearly focusing on forcing herself into the delusion of being in love with him. Just like with the werewolf army, Jackson is not putting himself in a good situation. Freya teams up with Finn to wake Mikael, who is happy to see the one kid he says he liked. But after the past couple weeks of Finn drama, Freya decides to protect him in an unconventional way. Freya finally gets to meet her other brothers, who unsurprisingly are wary of her trustworthiness. The rest of our team focus on finally answering the question, whose body is Rebekah in? Elijah and Gia meet with a witch matriarch (and familiar face for PLL fans!) while Marcel and Rebekah meet with a witch with the least New Orleans name ever. We end with three couples (only one being good), the starts of a werewolf mutiny, and the return of a child stealing witch, but not the one we have been waiting for.Remember to rate, review, and share, brothers!Follow us on Instagram and TikTok @doppelgangerspodcast!

Send us a textThe convergence of traditional engineering expertise with fresh innovative thinking can spark remarkable technological advancements. This fascinating dynamic is perfectly embodied by Inkatronic, an Austrian-based machine building and inkjet development company founded seven years ago but backed by decades of industry knowledge. At the heart of this podcast is the compelling father-son partnership driving Inkatronic forward. George Bödler brings thirty years of inkjet experience and mechanical engineering prowess, while his son Mikael, who began working with inkjet technology at just 14 years old, now leads new business development with unbridled passion. Together, they've created a company that specializes in developing bespoke industrial inkjet solutions for manufacturing challenges that traditional methods struggle to solve. What truly distinguishes Inkatronic is their comprehensive approach to technology selection and testing. Their R&D facility in Linz houses more than 30 different printer technologies, allowing them to thoroughly prototype and optimize solutions before machine development begins. This process includes waveform development, fluid characterization, and meticulous testing to ensure the perfect match between technology and application. From mechanical design through electronics, assembly, and implementation, the 18-person team handles everything in-house, giving them complete control over quality and customization. The conversation reveals fascinating insights into emerging applications, with functional coatings representing a particularly promising frontier. Inkjet's ability to apply chemistry evenly and selectively to substrates like metal, glass, and electronics – all while remaining contactless – opens possibilities that traditional screen printing cannot match. Similarly, high-viscosity applications up to 250 centipoise, including epoxy adhesives and sustainable water-based inks for packaging, represent major growth opportunities that align perfectly with Inkatronic's capabilities.Whether you're a manufacturing innovator seeking to digitalize processes, a chemistry developer looking for application expertise, or simply fascinated by the cutting edge of industrial print technology, this episode offers valuable perspectives on how specialized inkjet solutions are transforming industrial production. Guest Introduction:In an extraordinary fusion of art, engineering, and cosmic ambition, Swedish artist Mikael Genberg and space engineer Emil Vinterhav have realized what many deemed impossible—a traditional Swedish red house, journeying through space toward the lunar surface. This Moonhouse symbolizes humanity's unyielding aspiration and our innate desire to explore, challenge limits, and leave lasting footprints in new worlds.Key Discussion Points:The Birth of a Vision: Mikael's inspiration and the initial disbelief surrounding the idea of placing a symbolic red house on the moon.Journey to the Moon: The innovative route and the four-and-a-half-month voyage that optimizes energy efficiency.Art Meets Engineering: How Emil and Mikael navigated the cultural and technical divides, bringing poetic creativity together with precise engineering. From Idea to Reality: The rigorous process, from designing a space-qualified paint in Mikael's kitchen to comprehensive vibration and vacuum testing. The Ultimate Longevity: Reflections on the permanence of the house as a cosmic art piece that will outlive human civilization, serving as an enduring symbol.Emotional Launch: Experiences at Kennedy Space Center, from personal anticipation to the profound realization of their dreams ascending into space.Ethical Considerations: Addressing the philosophical implications of leaving human artifacts on celestial bodies and how this project enriches human cultural consciousness.

In today's episode, I'm joined by artist and creative entrepreneur Mikael Brandrup, whose journey took him from corporate graphic design in Denmark to the heart of the global art scene in Los Angeles. We talk about burnout, identity, and how personal evolution led him to create without limits. Mikael shares how meditation and mindset work became his foundation, why he stepped away from a profitable business to follow his instincts, and how he built a career on abstract expression. From brand collaborations with Nike and Bentley to large-scale public art, his story is a rare look at freedom, resilience, and the power of starting with nothing.
In today's episode, I sit down with Mikael Brandrup, a Copenhagen-born artist who left behind the golden handcuffs of corporate design to find freedom through expression. We talk about what happens when your supposed passion starts to drain you, and the difference between building for others versus creating from within. Mikael shares how burnout forced him to reset everything, leading to a risky move to LA, two distinct painting styles, and a mission-driven career that now supports environmental causes and younger artists alike. His journey is emotional, chaotic, and deeply creative—and it all started when he chose to stop following rules and trust his instincts instead.
Call it the holy grail: producing steel without emitting greenhouse gases. In Sweden, three companies – SSAB, LKAB and Vattenfall – have been working on it for years under the name HYBRITE. With a pilot plant in operation, the proof of concept has been delivered. Is the production of so-called ‘green steel' ready for scale-up? And if not, what challenges remain? To answer these questions, I'm joined by Mikael Nordlander, Director of Partnerships at Vattenfall and one of the brains behind HYBRITE.

Davina, with her alliance to Mikael now exposed, heads to a cabin in the woods, where she twists her ankle, flirts with Koleb, gets her bracelet deactivated, and loses possession of the white oak stake, all in about 12 hours. Klaus finally reunites with Cami to hunt down Davina, and of course get some more free therapy as he ponders killing his father (or at the very least stabbing him with Papa Tunde's bone knife). Meanwhile in the Quarter, we meet a new werewolf, Aiden, who terrorizes Marcel's new vampire community then immediately asks for their help saving his brother from Finncent's “use teenagers as pawns” plan. Plus, Josh gets on the dating apps and meets a new love interest! Finally, Lenesther kidnaps Elijah, probably because she's tired of waiting for her kids to want new bodies on their own.
