Perhaps your instinct in looking at this title is to go, in your mind's eye, to Calvary, and to consider our Saviour hanging between the two transgressors. While you have not necessarily followed the intended trail, you have come to the right place. It is not so much the men on either side whom we consider, but the man on the middle cross, for it is by him that the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. These are the three crucifixions of the title: first, the crucified Christ; then, the crucified world; finally, the crucified believer, whether that be Paul or whomever else. Thus we have set before us the glory of the cross itself, as well as the consequences of that glory for God's people. So Spurgeon considers the way in which the Christian all too often esteems and courts the world, and asks us to look at the world once more under the shadow of the cross. He also counsels the Christian about the way in which the world will now look at us, and how they will despise and disdain those who live under that same sweet shadow. Here Spurgeon shows us something of what it means to preach a crucified Christ—not simply to rehearse another ‘Calvary sermon' but rather to demonstrate over and over, in the broad sweep and the fine detail of Christian living, what it means to trust and to follow the Lamb of God who was slain. This week Pastor Travis brings us a message about the resurrection of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ titled Two rescuers, One Cross. These are some of the Key scriptures from the message:Luke 23:32-33 (NLT)32 Two others, both criminals, were led out to be executed with him. 33 When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified—one on his right and one on his left.Read Luke 23:34-38Luke 23:39 (NLT)39 One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed, “So you're the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving yourself—and us, too, while you're at it!”Luke 23:40-41 (NLT)40 But the other criminal protested, “Don't you fear God even when you have beensentenced to die? 41 We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn't done anything wrong.”Luke 23:42-43 (NLT)42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”43 And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”Read Luke 23:13- 23Luke 23:25 (NLT)25 As they had requested, he released Barabbas, the man in prison for insurrection and murder. But he turned Jesus over to them to do as they wished.John 10:18 (NLT), 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT), Luke 24:1-12, Luke 24:46-49 (NLT)Thank you for listening and join us next time for more great teaching, Be Blessed.

Good Friday, Ps. Jon Norman, 29 March 2024
Easter is the most significant day in the Christian Worldview, because it was the day that Jesus proved that He was who He said He was. When He rose from the dead there was no doubt that He was God and that He had the power to save humanity from the curse of sin and death. One remarkable moment happened just before His death on the cross. He offered eternal life to one of two criminals who were being executed next to Him.
Sermon March 29, 2024
1. The cross of rejection.-2. The cross of reception.-3. The cross of redemption.
This Easter Chris Kilby considers Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, and shows what this means for us by looking at what it meant for the three men on crosses that day.

3 Crosses John 3:16 #Nightlight #RTTBROS "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 (KJV) The crucifixion of Jesus Christ is a pivotal moment in history, where three men faced three different destinies on one hill. As the quote eloquently describes: "3 men, 3 crosses, 1 hill. One man cursed, One man prayed, one man promised. One died condemned, one died forgiven, one died innocent. One died in sin, one died to sin, one died for sin. One was held by death, one was released by death, one conquered death. One lost life, one gained life. One was life..." In this moment, we see the stark contrast between the two thieves crucified alongside Jesus. One thief cursed and rejected Christ, dying in his sin and condemned. The other thief recognized his own guilt and the innocence of Jesus, praying for forgiveness and receiving the promise of paradise. But the central figure, Jesus Christ, stands apart. He died innocent, without sin, yet He willingly took on the sins of the world. Through His death, He conquered death itself, making a way for all who believe in Him to have eternal life. This powerful scene reminds us of the incredible love God has for us. He sent His only Son to die in our place, so that we might be forgiven and have everlasting life. It is a call to each of us to examine our own hearts and consider which of the three men we most resemble. Will we reject Christ and die in our sins, or will we, like the repentant thief, put our faith in Jesus and receive the gift of eternal life? Let us pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to recognize our own sinfulness and our need for a Savior. Give us the faith to trust in Jesus, to repent of our sins, and to receive the forgiveness and eternal life that only He can give. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. In s3e32 of Platemark, host Ann Shafer speaks with Ad Stijnman, an independent scholar of historical printmaking processes, specializing in manual intaglio printmaking techniques. He is also a professional printmaker. Ad is the go-to guy on all sorts of things. When he speaks, we listen. Beaming in from Amsterdam, our conversation covers all sorts of topics from paper sizing and watermarks to acids and chine collé. We talk about teaching people to look, really look, and be able to describe what they are seeing. We talk about the troubling lack of an internationally shared vocabulary—what color is fawn or taupe, anyway? We talk about why neither of us wears gloves to handle works on paper except in very special circumstances. And, we talk about producing an invaluable and exhaustive (if not complete) list of terms and abbreviations found in print addresses: https://9ea6427a-9293-483f-80d4-9523d4ed999b.filesusr.com/ugd/6b3a67_c8b34f39781542deabab39e8c132c430.pdf. Three crosses dotted the rugged hillside called Golgotha on the day Jesus was crucified. On one cross, one was dying in sin; on another, a man was dying to sin; and on the third cross, One was dying for sin. In this broadcast of Let the Bible Speak: what we learn from all three […]
Paul said in 1 Corinthians that the cross is foolishness to some, but for others it is the power of God. And in his message “The Three Crosses,” Bayless Conley examines the very different attitudes and actions toward Jesus of the two thieves that were crucified with Him on Calvary and how you also must decide how you'll respond to Jesus.
