You aren't fond of the elderly, so you decide to become an RN and work in a retirement home? Yeah... It doesn't make sense to us either. For Arnfinn, it was just bad decision after bad decision, that ultimately landed him 21 years in prison. ONLY 21 YEARS! Listen to this episode of Healthcare Horrors episode, and let us know if it was well deserved or too short of a sentence. He's convicted of 22 murders; We think the latter.
On this episode of Legislative Review: A bill to allow out-of-state nurses to practice in Washington, and a bill to increase the salaries of WDFW Commissioners.
Lainey Evischi is a traveling nurse providing her skills in multiple states several months at a time. As someone I have met several times with my day job, I was excited to have a one on one talk with Lainey to better understand her work and what is involved with being a nurse that travels to different states working on contracts for hospitals a specified length of time. She likes to have the ability to work in different states without committing to one place but it can also have its downsides as well.I'm so thankful that Lainey shared her time and stories with me. I'm always interested in speaking with people that travel for their work in unique aspects and a nurse that travels to different states several times a year is a perfect fit for my show. If you have any questions about being a traveling nurse go ahead and reach out to Lainey for advice. You can subscribe to The Travel Wins Podcast on Apple Podcasts, SoundCloud, YouTube, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, Spreaker, Podnews, Castbox, Pocket Casts, Radio Public, and Amazon. The Travel Wins intro song by Allison Johnson and Steve Stevens Website Design by Stack Host#laineyevischi #nurse #travelingnurse
Merry Christmas Eve! - Let's talk about murder. This time on "Healthcare Horrors," we head over to Austria to talk about The Lainz Angels of Death. They have been released.
"Why? Just Why?" We find ourselves asking this several times while learning about the healthcare horrors of Colin Norris.
Who's watched "The Good Nurse" on Netflix? Did you know that it's based on a true story? On this episode of Healthcare Horrors, we talk all about Charles Cullen. Who, most definitely, is NOT a good nurse.
Born in 1953 in Stockholm, Sweden. Outside of his murders, that's all we know about "Doctor" Teet Haerm. Warning: If you have a weak stomach, this probably isn't for you. Strangled victims, necrophilia, and cannibalism are all mentioned in this episode.
Orville Lynn Majors might have one of the highest confirmed kill counts that we have had on this show so far. How did he do it? Why did he do it? Find out in this episode of Healthcare Horrors.
Dr. Thomas Neil Cream has been everywhere, BUT, as we can all assume, for not very good reasons. *Insert Alicia's whispered "MURDER" here* Tune in this week to find out more about Dr. Thomas Neil Cream and his claim to have all your birth control needs.

An old pal of the show, nurse and touring multi-instrumentalist Dan DiMonte stepped into the Nursing Uncensored Headquarters for a little kitchen-table-chat and a cocktail or two. In this very long, late-night conversation, we covered so much - too much for one episode. In part one, we tackle a listener question about how Dan maintains relationships of all sorts while on the road - both from the nurse and musician's perspectives. We talk about what it means to 'catch up' with old friends who follow our every move online, the amount of effort various relationships require, and the similarities between nursing and improvisational jazz. If you know us, no topic is off limits and no segue is too much of a stretch. Listen in and then go catch up with the musical side of Dan athttps://www.dandimonte.com/for more nursing conversations go to nursinguncensored.com

This week you're dropping in on the conversation Adrianne had with her old pal Lindsay, a traveling nurse and cool human that she can literally talk to for hours and hours on end. They talk about a million things in this episode including how Lindsay caught the travel bug, weighing the pros and cons of different contracts and locations, her adventure dog, licensing for travelers, and getting tricked into wiping butts of patients who really can do it themselves. There's never a dull moment here on Nursing UncensoredThanks for listening!nursinguncensored.com

Adrianne has some thoughts on how a staff nurse should treat a float or a traveling nurse - very specific thoughts. She shares some opinions of how we as staff nurses should be treating our travelers and floating nurses from the moment they arrive on the unit. A basic level of friendliness, professionalism and a crash course of the unit is minimum, folks. We end with the question posed: Is being friendly a responsibility of all nurses? Is refusing to do so adding to the bully culture of our industry? Share your thoughts and opinions. medroomchronicles.com LISTEN:Spreaker: http://bit.ly/MRCSPREiTunes: https://bit.ly/MRCITUNGoogle Play Music: http://bit.ly/MRCGOOGStitcher: http://bit.ly/MRCSTITIHeartRadio: http://bit.ly/MRCIHEARTSOCIAL MEDIAFacebook: http://bit.ly/MRCFACEIG: http://bit.ly/MRCINSTTumblr: http://bit.ly/MRCTUMBTwitter: http://bit.ly/MRCTWIT
