The artist formerly known as Loz Goddard has trimmed his name to just Goddard and with this new slimline profile comes a fresh new release in the shape of his 'Signals' EP, which is out now on top label Apparel Music. With ace releases already bagged on labels like Church and Tusk Wax, we're pretty confident you'll already be up to speed on how good Goddard's music is. The busy man also presents a monthly radio show on Reform Radio which luck would have it goes out this Saturday (17th) 9pm - 11pm with guests Makez.  This week we welcome Manchester native Ruf Dug to Solid Steel, owner of the appointment-only record store Hi Tackle and label-boss of Ruf Kutz. His releases have also appeared on labels like Unknown To The Unknown, Music For Dreams, Klasse Wrecks and Tusk Wax. With music from Omar-S, Martini Bros, DJ Duke and John Tejada in his mix, he told us; "I recorded this mix at my studio on a Tuesday morning - it’s 100% vinyl for no other reason than I couldn’t get into the room with the CDJs in it (must improve biometric hacking techniques). I figured well fuck it then I’ll just play out of my bag like it’s a gig. My record bag is a continual work in progress; I very rarely empty it out and start over so it’s constantly evolving - some things haven’t left literally for years. I just did a reasonably large refresh after the festivals so it’s a little newer to me than normal. The mix was gonna be longer but the Glowing Palms tune ended sooner than I expected and it seemed like a good point to stop; sometimes u gotta let fate make the big decisions. Biggups mashups & minimal, the world is ready to forgive u. All my love to my incredibly understanding wife Louise, my beautiful son Larry and my beautiful home Manchester." In Hour 2 it's Brame & Hamo from Sligo, Ireland and currently based in Berlin, who have expertly produced some of the most effortless house music of the last few years via their first imprint Splendor & Squalour. In 2017 they launched their eponymous second label with the Trants EP to critical acclaim. Their latest EP “Celebrity Impersonator” came out last month and they had this to say about their mix; "It has been ages since we have put out a mix, and it’s a pleasure to join the Solid Steel series as it is one of our favorites and has shaped who we are as artists. This is a good account of the tunes and style we play when we are out at a gig. It features a few rare gems, and some unreleased but forthcoming productions of ours. We hope you enjoy!” Playlist: San Pellegrino - Kaschiel One Step Ahead (MAW Mix) - Debbie Gibson I Was Tired Of Being Alone - Klodya Less Pain - Omar-S Nativtonguetwisterhood - MB Critical Ebb - Intelligent Communication Butter Up (Inst) - Elektrik Dred Hot - Martini Bros Tribal Journey - DJ Duke  Mind Bend - John Tejada Core - Nagual Your Love - Jackmaster Hater  Murder Weapon - Sugar Minott Mighty In Battle - TNT Roots For Real - M-Dubs My Caesar - Mark Seven Love - Reggie Dokes Good Girls - Designer Music Equitoreal Dubtribe - Sound System Saturday - Unknown Getting There - Glowing Palms

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. To celebrate Italian week, SofaTalk steps up for a special New Music Worldwide. SofaTalk is the one man project of Italian based producer Piero Paolinelli. His music is influenced by the likes of Herbie Hancock’s Fender Rhodes technique, the post-disco sound of Arthur Russell and the Brazilian Jazz/Funk sound of Azymuth. Combining these flavors, the Italian producer has had releases on labels such as Disco Soul Records, Tusk Wax, Banoffee Pies… just to name a few. He also runs the label Cognitiva Records, which has most recently released the music of DJ Rou & Lite Orkestra and has a forthcoming release on Omena Records, which will be out in September.

Heretic aka Timothy Clerkin aka half of Eskimo Twins joins Parabox this month for one of those unusual selections that we all love. A Heretic influence selection full of surprises and tracks you think would not inspire the type of music produced by him, yet it does. Tracks he and the Eskimo Twins duo consisting of of Timothy and Nathan have been spotted and snached by such labels like Relish, Tusk Wax, Days of Being Wild, and more. His remix of Play The Game by Craig Bratley is definitely in my personal Top 10 for this year and I am pretty sure I am not the only one here. His Influence selection comes straight after some new music, some old releases, a premiere and another edit from our studios. The previous one is already supported by Ivan Smagghe, Manfredas, Bird of Paradise, and we have heard our todays guest liked them a lot as well.

We have a rather special episode this week as we invite Jamie Blanco to put together a live set, consisting entirely of his own material. Jamie came to our attention through his retrospective, yet entirely modern sound on labels like Tusk Wax and London Housing Trust. His live set has taken him to perform recent shows at Renate in Berlin, and Bad Passion in London. Using Ableton with a controller, sending his tracks through an analogue space echo, loop station and Moog filter and playing live acid basslines on his 303, Jamie's aim is to retain a live feel throughout his sets. Our London followers should check him out playing alongside Andre Lodemann in Shoreditch on December 12th. Look out for new releases coming early next year on Cynic, Disco Bloodbath and again on London Housing Trust, some of which you can hear in the set. http://soundcloud.com/jamieblanco

OK hands up, we have a bone fide cracker of a mix here. We first met Steve Lee on a raucous trip to Croatia a few year's back and we have been avid followers of his work as Project Club for some time. A stupidly talented producer, his output on labels such as Is It Balearic?, Need Want and Tusk Wax are nothing but essential. His Balearica night in London reads like a who's who from the underground left field disco scene attracting regular visits from Idjut Boys, Phil Mison, Johnny Nash, Coyote, Paul "Mudd" Murphy, Soft Rocks and more. He recently launched his new vinyl only label Above Machine, under which guise he presents this mix, now on it's fourth release with a corking EP from Almunia which is topping the more discerning charts everywhere you turn. Quite simply, another must check project from Mr Steve Lee. http://soundcloud.com/abovemachine
