Ich halte gerade gefühlt jede zweite Woche ein KI-Seminar mit Schulleitungen, Lehrerinnen und Lehrern. Ich vermute, neben Medienschaffenden gibt es kaum einen anderen Bereich, der so stark von der KI betroffen ist, wie Schule und Studium. Alle Hausarbeiten, vom Hausaufsatz bis zur Masterarbeit, müssen neu gedacht werden. Schülerinnen und Schüler hinterfragen vehement, warum sie noch Französisch oder Italienisch lernen müssen, wo es doch DeepL und Google Translate gibt. Welchen Sinn es hat, sich durch den Lernstoff in Geschichte und Biologie, Geographie und Physik zu quälen, wo ChatGPT doch auf jede Frage eine Antwort weiss. Wozu man im Deutschunterricht noch Romane und Gedichte lesen soll, wo Gemini doch jedes Werk im Handumdrehen erklärt. Es ist das Taschenrechnerproblem aus meiner eigenen Schulzeit im Quadrat. Oder hoch drei. Denn Zweifel äussern nicht nur Schülerinnen und Schüler, sondern auch Lehrpersonen. Sie fragen mich zum Beispiel, wann man mit KI-Unterricht beginnen soll. Ob zum Beispiel schon Kindergartenkinder den Umgang mit KI lernen müssen. Meine Antwort überrascht sie meistens: Künftig wird es, gerade im Umgang mit KI, nicht weniger, sondern mehr klassische Bildung und Ausbildung brauchen. Begründen lässt sich das mit der Funktionsweise der KI, aber auch mit der Praxis im Berufsleben. Ich versuche hier, die ganze Begründung auf eine einzige Grafik zu konzentrieren. Zur Kabinettskrise Frankreichs des Jahres 1925 führte nicht unbedingt eine Kontroverse rund um die Unterzeichnung des Vertrags von Locarno. Grund war vielmehr das endgültige Zerbrechen des „Cartel des gauches“, des Links-Bündnisses, welches nach den Wahlen 1924 an die Macht gekommen war. Premierminister Paul Painlevé versuchte, der hohen Staatsverschuldung mit einer Austeritätspolitik zu begegnen, und wurde darob (aber auch als Reaktion auf andere Kompromisse mit dem bürgerlichen Lager) vom linken Flügel am 22. November gestürzt. Painlevé war ein renommierter Mathematiker, mit dem Spezialgebiet der nicht-linearen Differentialgleichungen zweiter Ordnung, deren eine Eigenschaft heute als Painlevé-Eigenschaft bezeichnet wird. Im Zuge der Dreyfus-Affäre trat er, bereits Mitglied der Liga für Menschenrechte, in die Politik ein. Er pflegte gute Beziehungen nach Deutschland, sprach wohl fließend Deutsch und war ein glühender Anhänger der Mahlerschen Musik. Zudem begeisterte er sich fürs Fliegen, war 1908 der erste französische Passagier beim Flug Wilbur Whrigts und begründete die Lehre der Aeronautik an den französischen Universitäten… Aber: In der heutigen Folge liest Rosa Leu für uns aus der Bergedorfer Zeitung vom 23. In der Nacht zu Freitag hat Russland die Ukraine erneut massiv angegriffen. Militäranalyst Franz-Stefan Gady hat die Front nahe Pokrowsk kürzlich besucht und schildert im Gespräch mit Host Kai Küstner seine Eindrücke. Die Frage, wie lange sich die Ukraine in Pokrowsk noch wehren kann, ist aus Gadys Sicht zweitrangig, “weil die Stadt eben keinen strategischen Wert hat, sondern vielmehr geht es darum, wie viel Blut muss die Ukraine hier opfern, um diese Stadt zu erhalten?”. Insgesamt habe sich die militärische Lage in der Ostukraine für die Ukraine nicht deutlich verschlechtert, der Trend sei insgesamt „leicht negativ“. Das größte Problem sei weiterhin das fehlende Personal. Die Front sei „extrem löchrig“. Gady erwartet in der nächsten Zeit aber keine größeren russischen Durchbrüche bzw. einen Kollaps der Frontlinie. Außerdem blickt Gady auf den bevorstehenden Winter und die Zivilbevölkerung. Die kommenden Monate könnten extrem schwierig werden. Er spricht mit Kai auch darüber, welchen Einfluss Tomahawk Marschflugkörper für den Kriegsverlauf hätten. Während die Soldaten an der Front kämpfen, erschüttert die Ukraine ein Korruptionsskandal im Energiesektor. Die Hintergründe und möglichen Auswirkungen u.a. für Wolodymyr Selenskyj beleuchtet Stefan Niemann. Der Skandal, so seine Einschätzung, schade dem Ansehen des ukrainischen Präsidenten im In- und Ausland enorm. Fikret is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the Natural Resources Institute of the University of Manitoba. He is a legend in the field of the commons and social-ecological systems, with some of his most well-known works included Sacred Ecology, Coasts for People, and Navigating Social-ecological Systems. Nicole is a Research Scholar at the Center for Ocean Solutions at Stanford University. She has over two decades of experience working in intergovernmental organizations, namely the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development in Rome as well as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris Michael asks Nicole and Fikret's about their new edited book entitled Governing for transformation towards sustainable small-scale fisheries, which is open access and published by the FAO. The book was written in support of the FAO's Voluntary Guidelines for Securing Sustainable Small-Scale Fisheries, and provides a human-centered, interdisciplinary approach to managing fisheries in a complex world. It addresses challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and privatization by advocating for a shift from top-down, single-species management to cooperative, adaptive governance systems that incorporate the knowledge and needs of resource users.
