International Tribe is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s International Tribe mix comes from DJ Minx. Detroit's 'First Lady of Wax' DJ Minx, has focused her energy on creating platforms for other female artists via her own collective, Women On Wax. She has been DJing for almost three decades, maintaining residencies on Detroit’s WGPR, Red Bull Radio and more. Minx was named one of the “20 Women Who Shaped the History of Dance Music” by Mixmag and one of the “Best house music DJs of all time” by TimeOut New York. DJ Minx described her International Tribe mix as '...four on the floor beats, a bit of deep, but groovin' all the way through.'

International Tribe is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Hammer.  Hammer is the artist name of Belfast born, Rory Hamilton. He started running club nights in Glasgow from the age of 20 and swiftly moved on to co-piloting the Feel My Bicep blog with good friends Andy and Matt from Bicep. He is also a consistent selector at the legendary Sub Club in Glasgow, with his Thunder Disco parties playing host to the likes of Floating Points, Ben UFO and Paranoid London. With releases on labels such as Feel My Bicep, Optimo Music and Loft Records, Hamilton also runs his own imprint The Hammer Hits, which he used to output his EP “Love Somebody” late last year. Following these releases and his latest EP Ozone on Modern Magic, Hammer is continuing to increase his international presence through bookings at venues such as Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, and Warehouse Project. For his International Tribe mix, Hammer focuses on uplifting selections or in his words "I wanted to put together a mix that was really uplifting, something that gives you a wee buzz and gets you moving. I included some brand new music, a couple of unreleased tracks by myself, and as always, some older bits"

International Tribe is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Earl Jeffers.  Originally producing under the artist name Chesus, Earl Jeffers is the latest project from the Cardiff born producer. Making a style of raw grooving house, which takes influences from the sounds of Chicago Detroit and beyond, Earl Jeffers emphasises a great sense of history in his sets and productions, as heard in his collaboration with Byron The Aquarius. With releases on multiple influential labels such as 4lux Black, Local Talk, Ten Thousand Yen and Motor City Drum Ensembles label MCDE earlier this year, the Welsh producer also runs his own label Melange, which has most recently released music from Detroit's own Javonntte. For his International Tribe mix, Earl Jeffers curates a selection of tracks he has had on rotation recently, featuring music from the likes of Jay Daniel, Glenn Underground and more. International Tribe is a new weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Girl Unit.  First starting to DJ back in 2006 under the name Girl U No It's True, Girl Unit is the alias of London producer Philip Gamble. As a key member of the label and event series Night Slugs, which was founded by Bok Bok and L-Vis back in 2008, Girl Unit has released over 7 EPs on the imprint and has collaborated with artists such as Kelela. His sound continues to push the timbres of the UK scene, with a mix and blend of UK Funky, Post Dubstep, Deep House and R&B. For his International Tribe mix, Girl Unit selects a range of funky, grooving and deep cuts to represent the sounds of the scene.

This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Detroit pioneer Delano Smith.  Representing the sounds of the Motor City, Delano Smith has been a vital and pivotal part of the emergence of deep house in Detroit since the beginning years. Formally part of the DJ collective BeatDownSounds, with longtime peers Norm Talley and Mike "Agent X" Clark, Delano's style has continued to showcase the best in all things deep and Detroit. With multiple releases on the highly established Sushitech Records, Apparel Music and Third Ear Recordings, he also runs his own label Mixmode Recordings out of his hometown. For his International Tribe mix, Delano selects a range of deeply grooving and hypnotic cuts.

International Tribe is a new weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Juju & Jordash. Juju & Jordash first combined forces back in the mid-90s through weekly be-bop jams. Learning their ways through various jazz and experimental combos, the duo began to put out records back in 2004 and have been playing live, releasing music and djing with each other ever since. With releases on labels such as Dekmantel, Golf Channel Recordings, and on Workshop and Off Minor Recordings as Magic Mountain High, the pair have recently released Slack Trax Vol.1 on their own imprint Slack Trax. For their International Tribe mix, the duo utilises the freedom of home recording to trial out a selection of tracks they haven’t been able to test out yet, with cuts from Jeff Mills, Will DiMaggio, STL and more.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from Lithuanian newcomer, Pletnev.  During the last couple of years, Russian wanderer Alex Pletnev has continued to progress in the electronic scene. Taking part in the RBMA programme, owning his own label and curating parties in St. Petersburg, Pletnev now finds himself based in Vilnius in Lithuania. With a range of eclectic releases on imprints such as Meda Fury, Mahnsteig23, and Secretsundaze’s sub-label SZE, the Lithuanian newcomer has begun to perfectly represent the sounds of the scene and is a resident at the established Opium club in Vilinius. For his NMW mix, Pletnev gathers a selection of classic and new eclectic cuts, to represent the sounds that he would like to hear on the dance floors of today.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from producer, sound artist, and overall creator Machine Woman.  Born in Russia but based in Nottingham, Machine Woman is the artist name of Anastasia Vtorova. Inspired and influenced by late-night listening of downbeat minimal electronica, as well as melancholic worldwide cinema, Machine Woman's sound and live show focus on waltzing the line between techno and avant-garde. Releasing on labels such as Peder Mannerfelt, Tesla Tapes, Technicolour and a range of others, Vtorova also runs the label Take Away Jazz Records, which has released music from the likes of DJ Half Price Lager and herself. For her mix, Vtorova selects a range of intimate, personal and flavourful techno, with a few exclusive from herself.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from Relaxer.  Emerging from New York in 2016, Relaxer is the latest project from Daniel Martin-McCormick. Influenced by two decades of innovative US underground, McCormick uses contagious bassline grooves and psychologically charged atmospheres to form his unique sound. With over five EPs released via the Relaxer alias and his hardware live set being performed at places such as Berghain, De School and many more, McCormick also runs the label Lovers Rock Recordings. He also has a collaborative project with Aurora Halal as Halal & Relaxer and co-directs the NYC based Sustain-Release festival. For his NMW mix, Relaxer explores the ideas and influences from his latest tape “A Family Disease”, with a pick of hazy ambient and techno selections, all combined to form a lagoon of solace.

This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from Youandewan.  Since the release of his first record in 2008, DJ and producer Youandewan has been quietly forging his own idiosyncratic take on house and techno. Born in Scotland, raised in Yorkshire and living in Berlin since 2013, Ewan Smith's productions blend influences from across the electronic spectrum. A penchant for deeper shades of introspection works in tandem with a knack for kinetic and club-focused grooves - ably demonstrated by his releases on labels like Voyage, Cabinet, Secretsundaze, Aus Music (home to his 2016 debut long-player There Is No Right Time) and his own The Brane imprint. Acclaimed DJ sets at clubbing institutions such as Fabric, Panorama Bar and DC10 have seen Ewan mature into a skilled and versatile selector - with a record bag that collects the best bits of vintage UK tech house, acid-laced cruisers and deeper strains of golden-era house and techno.  For his NMW mix, Youandewan examines these diverse styles with his usual ear for trippy, cerebral moods and driving rhythms - all delivered with the finesse of a seasoned jock.

This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from the Argentinian producer and DJ Ana Helder.  Living between continents, Argentinian bred Ana Helder is part of the global collective and label crew Cómeme. With four releases on the imprint, her sets and productions are dedicated to the rough riding way of dance music and her sound delves deep into subversive, dark and uplifting techno. With releases on labels such as Astro Lab Recordings, Müstique and Cómeme, Ana Helder steps up for the mix, with a selection of new material coming out on the next Cómeme trilogy and a range of dynamic acid creations, amorphous jazz movers and deep cuts.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. Parisian based producer Low Jack, is the electronic moniker of Philippe Hallais. Taking influences from the early 90s, with pirate radio, Definitive Jux, Chicago ghetto house and Detroit electro, Low Jack’s sound puts a twist on the different elements of the scene. With three albums released on labels such as L.I.E.S, In Paradisum and Modern Love, the French creator lets his music do the talking. Most recently, he has released the publicly acclaimed mini-LP ‘Riddims du Lieu-dit' on his own imprint Editions Gravats, which is a selection of killer cuts of mutant futuristic dancehall. For his mix, Low Jack compiles a selection of tracks which are trying to redefine contemporary dancehall, alongside some homemade club edits, exclusive redubs and live sessions from the man himself.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. To celebrate Italian week, SofaTalk steps up for a special New Music Worldwide. SofaTalk is the one man project of Italian based producer Piero Paolinelli. His music is influenced by the likes of Herbie Hancock’s Fender Rhodes technique, the post-disco sound of Arthur Russell and the Brazilian Jazz/Funk sound of Azymuth. Combining these flavors, the Italian producer has had releases on labels such as Disco Soul Records, Tusk Wax, Banoffee Pies… just to name a few. He also runs the label Cognitiva Records, which has most recently released the music of DJ Rou & Lite Orkestra and has a forthcoming release on Omena Records, which will be out in September.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from the weird and wonderful DJ Bus Replacement Service. Investigating the murkiest corners of the web, DJ Bus Replacement Service can be conceived as one of the deepest diggers out there. The UK artist began her path initially in 2009 as Spannered Oddcast #8 and developed into the current form of DJ BRS in 2015. Performing in a supreme leader latex mask, real name Doris Woo, plays a range of wild, weird and wonderfully unknown music to raise the hairs of her audiences. Influenced from the likes of Dr. Demento and The Annoying Music Show, DJ BRS simply loves to play unconventional and incorrect music.

Originally coming from the North East of England, the eclectic and experimental techno producer now bases himself in the land of Mexico (via a spell in Berlin). Recognised for his eclectic and broad tastes, portraying everything from techno and house to euphoric Balearia, New Wave, and experimental electronica, the English producer continues to explore the many realms of the scene.

This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from the Manchester collective, Swing Ting.  Representing the street and sound system culture of Manchester, Swing Ting is a unified selection of DJs, producers and vocalists, united by a love of the street sounds of their hometown. The label and DJ crew are defined by their vibrant take on dancehall, garage and grime and have been holding down a residency at Soup Kitchen every third Saturday of the month since 2011. With the label releasing music from the like of Alex-A-Game, Madd Again, Florentino, Equiknoxx and many more, the collective have continued to represent the cultural sounds of Manchester's underground scene. Originator Samrai takes control for this week's New Music Worldwide selection, featuring old, new and forthcoming releases from the Swing Ting catalog.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from Leeds producer LK. Known for his disco and soulful influenced house productions, the Leeds producer has been continuously outputting summer groovers and winter warmers. Also creating music under his techno alias Viers, LK co-runs the label Hokkaido Dance Club, which has put out music from artists such as Baltra, Ray Kandinski and himself. With releases on labels such as Bristol bred Shall Not Fade, Big Doint, Ruff Draft and a recent EP on Moxie's On Loop imprint, LK steps into the mix for this week's New Music Worldwide mix.

Producing music in the underground dungeons of Amsterdam, Nachtbraker's eclectic style is clearly audible through his releases, which range from ecstatic slow groovers and unconventional dub tracks to straight-up four to the floor house. He also Is the label boss of the Amsterdam based Quartet Series, which has recently put out S3A’s soulful and energetic Climax EP. With releases on Hudd Traxx, Heist and Dirt Crew Recordings, the versatile artist has continued to impress. Recorded on a sunny Wednesday afternoon, Nachtbreaker delves deep into his collection for this weeks NMW mix, playing some of his favourite records, as well as some new exclusives.

Starting his musical career through mixing drum and bass in his bedroom, British producer Medlar has gone on to be a prominent name in the scene, through his distinctly warm, funk-infused strain of house. The 3-man collective take base in the former industrial warehouses of Hackney Wick, London. With a focus on modular design, production and performance within the dynamics of dance music. They have previously releases on labels such as Hypercolour, Dimensions Recordings and Applied Rhythmic Technology, the synthesiser wizards have awoken the sound of the future through the potency of the modular format. Although mostly linked to electro through their live performances and releases, London Modular Alliance explore the varied sounds and styles of their collection in this weeks New Music Worldwide.

Generation Next's career in music always maintained an air of inevitability. The son of Detroit legend Big Strick (himself a cousin of FXHE boss Omar S), he grew up in a home where jazz, disco, house and techno reigned supreme. Inspired by contemporary hip-hop and RnB as much as he is the music of family friends Amp Fiddler, Kenny Dixon Jr and OB Ignitt, he’s enjoyed a musical upbringing like few others in modern-day Detroit. Generation Next is also a DJ of some repute and has already shared the decks with the likes of Omar S, John FM and Walter Glasshouse, while in Europe he debuted his live show at Panorama Bar, which perhaps goes some way to explaining his standing amongst discerning electronic music fans. Raised close to Düsseldorf in the Ruhr Area, a former strong and lively industrial conglomerate city. It is now a bygone and dead epicentre of German heavy Industry, full of dusty factory skeletons and abandoned industrial complexes. This harsh backdrop is evident in his productions. One foot in the fields of the the glorious summer of ‘92′ and one in the ‘no future 4 ever‘ sounds emanating from Düsseldorf via Amsterdam to London, Lyon to The Hague today. With high praised releases for respected Berlin label Klasse Wrecks his sound has captured the zeitgeist that led to killer remixes on Dekmantel, Especial and more.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s New Music Worldwide comes from Tracey. Tracey is the alias of fast-rising producer Tom Ruijg. Based in Amsterdam, Tracey is an esteemed selector with a celebrated history behind the decks in his native Holland. He has now turned his hand to producing, having releasing tracks on the Tom Trago curated Voyage Direct label. Rightly he won praise for his first 12” as Tracey, Skyfall, which surfaced in early 2017. Combining elements seemingly inspired by vintage Detroit futurism, ‘90s ambient techno and his own love of colourful synth melodies, the EP saw Tracey set out his stall in impressive fashion. His sound is rich, deep, mature and captivating.

Tracklist: https://worldwidefm.net/show/ew-music-worldwide-equiknoxx/ Known for their distinctive take on Dancehall, the crew have previously released on Demdike Stare’s DDS label and Manchester party crew Swing Ting‘s label. To date, the collective has released two LPs. 2016’s Bird Sound Power is distinctive and radical, comprised of fractured dancehall rhythms, dark soundscapes, and tinges of hip hop. 2017’s Colón Man is more cohesive, taking the dark, psychedelic sounds of the first record further. This mix comes from Equiknoxx founder and producer Bobby Blackbird. He explores the tracks that have shaped him and the group over the past few years.

Across a glittering 18 year production career under an array of aliases, Eduardo de la Calle has worked with many of the most important labels of modern times such a Planet-E Communications, International Deejay Gigolo, TURBO, Hivern Discs, Mule Musiq, Semantica, NONPLUS, Mental Groove, NON SERIES, ORBE - as well as fathering his own vinyl-only imprint Analog Solutions. It's hard to put a fine point on Eduardo's sound. Equally capable of composing lush, languid soundscapes, exotic tech-house, sci-fi Jazz and brutal big room assaults, De la Calle is a truly multi-faceted artist and showcases his selector abilities in this New Music Worldwide mix.

Following releases on Church, Farout Recordings and his own label Woop Records, Hauke has been making a huge imprint on the UK underground scene with his no-nonsense, raw yet refreshingly absorbing electronic music. Ranging from Hip Hop to Broken Beat to House and everything in-between. His latest release ‘First Takes EP’ is available on 12” from Woop Records.

This mix comes ahead of Fake delivering a brand new 4-track EP Sunder on 23 February 2018, which sees Fake take a different direction to his usual output. Title track 'Sunder' is rougher, more urgent and raw, more beat-oriented, but still retains the same warmth and emotive character that he is renowned for. Berlin based producer Max Graef brings his unique and fresh outlook on vintage dance music to the New Music Worldwide mix series. Head honcho of Money $ex Records alongside another Worldwide FM favourite Glenn Astro, Max began exploring and experimenting with production while on a student exchange in London, and both he and his MPC-led tunes found a home at Prenzlauer Berg’s OYE record shop upon return to Berlin. Her eclectic but hard hitting selections behind the decks are truly making her a force to be reckoned with. Although a DJ first and foremost, Mor Elian's productions are seeing her tread a new path. Her four release this year have become some of the hottest property of 2017. The duo comprises of Millos Kaiser and Augusto Olivani aka Trepanado. Their mission is to unearth and promote overlooked Brazilian music from different genres, from disco to boogie to electro to all things experimental. They have garnered a reputation as two of the finest selectors on the planet. Responsible for throwing the legendary Selvagem parties in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, they also run the label Selva Discos, responsible for the reissue of Maria Rita Stumpf’s “Brasileira” LP in 2017.

Munk aka Mathias Modica, is a Berlin based producer, DJ and the creative mind behind the labels Gomma, Toy Tonics and Kryptox. Munk has released 3 albums and produced music with James Murphy and Peaches amongst many other big names. In 2018, he will release a neo-jazz album which features the last appearance of CAN drummer Jaki Liebezeit.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week Dijf Sanders' takes us on a wonderful journey into future exotica. The Belgian musician pens an hour mix for New Music Worldwide that charts the influences of his upcoming album 'Java' which will be released in December. Dij Sanders' produces soundtracks to distant, far-flung places that brood with exotica, psychedelia, jazz and electronica.

New Music Worldwide is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. Contours is the project of Manchester based musician, producer and DJ Tom Burford. Releasing on labels including Rhythm Section, Shall Not Fade and Tru Thoughts amongst others, Contours’ sound explores the spaces, rhythms and textures that sit between house, jazz, Afro, Latin, broken beat and hip hop.

Tris Kayo is a genre spanning DJ and producer based in Prague. He presents a mix of new music from across the spectrum for New Music Worldwide, reflecting the wide variety of music styles that have influenced him over the years – expect grimy bass lines with electronic tendencies.

Straight out of Sligo, Ireland, Brame & Hamo have achieved acclaimed releases on labels such as Dirt Crew, Heist and more recently their own self-titled imprint, solidifying themselves as one of the most exciting artists to emerge from Ireland in the past decade. "We recorded the mix after a slew of some mental gigs where we played a lot heavier music, closer to the techno side of our collections. It was refreshing to take it down a notch and go a bit deeper. There's some really old stuff in there and some new stuff by ourselves and friends."

Sizzling with analogue synths, slicing guitars, warm bass lines and crisp drums, XOA’s compositions take influence from the sounds of London’s fervent electronic music scene, fusing broken-beat and house foundations with golden era '70s afrobeat, funk and jazz. "My current favorite afrobeat, funk and disco edits with some fine new releases from Cervo, Dan Shake and DVE, alongside some forthcoming XOA edits and collaborations with Contours."

From Concentrate are a record label hailing from Africa, Norway, Australia, Italy and London. With a fruity aesthetic and serious music, their first record, out in a few weeks, features six songs from six of their recently signed artists including Count Counsellor and LVNA. Their sound takes on many different musical styles ranging from Lier's 8-bit spoken word techno to Gud Jon's angelic Icelandic choral tones. Their New Music Worldwide mix is a cross genre journey of unreleased music from new label From Concentrate. All the music has been produced by a From Concentrate artist and will be forthcoming on the label over the next year.

Warren Xclnce is a London based producer, DJ and co-founder of Abouttoblow.com magazine. Warren says: "This is a mix of mid-tempo soul-inspired tracks across a handful of genres and around the 115 bpm mark throughout – couple tracks from myself finishing up on a radio premiere of a new collaboration between myself, Jerome Thomas and Joe Armon-Jones."

Ajnascent is a multi-genre electronic project by the Berlin-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Konstantin Rohleder. Heavily inspired by traditional eastern and african music as well as jazz and post-rock, the project focuses on taking the perks of the spontaneity of improvisational music as well as the high sound quality of pre-produced music, melting them to bring a rich sonic diversity. Ajnascent present this New Music Worldwide mix ahead of their latest release with Glenn Astro, Even, out on Money $ex Records.

Hi & Saberhägen was originally formed in Glasgow by two acquaintances eager to work outside their comfort zones. The pair’s different musical backgrounds blended effortlessly, catering five eclectic releases and a beautiful friendship. This combination is most noticeable on Acid Finger (Lo157, Lo Recordings), their most recent release to date. Their New Music Worldwide mix is an insight into the influences and artists that help shape their sounds – melancholia with a sprinkling of optimism (like a Scottish summer).
