Patty Shukla is an award winning American singer, songwriter, musician, author, and keynote speaker. She specializes in music tailored to early childhood curriculum. Her expertise stems from her pioneering work in educational and interactive music videos on YouTube since 2009, captivating millions worldwide on her youtube channel. Patty is part of the worship team at her church and spent years leading children's choirs! When she's not performing or composing, Patty travels extensively, sharing insights as a keynote speaker at educational workshops, both nationally and internationally. We think you'll hear her excitement for integrating learning into every song she produces. Monica even got to participate LIVE in a song called “Wiggle It”. Patty shares her personal story of how music helped her non-verbal son develop language skills and excel academically. She emphasizes the importance of incorporating movement into music to engage children and enhance learning. Patty also discusses the benefits of using music in special needs classrooms and the value of parent engagement through music resources. She encourages teachers to create playlists of educational songs on platforms like YouTube to share with parents. The episode concludes with a discussion on the power of traditional childhood games and the importance of reintroducing them in early childhood classrooms. Patty is passionate about using the power of music and movement to help young children learn skills across all learning domains. We loved that she reminded us about using music to build an inclusive environment with the children who might have some different abilities. We know music is a powerful tool in our classrooms. We hope this episode challenged you to be a little bit more intentional in which music you choose. To start, I would like to apologize for the sound quality in the interview with DJ Buza. I am not happy with it, but it wasn't a planned interview and we weren't 100% prepared to have a guest in the studio. But, we made it work and had a good interview with out good friend! At first we go in to a discussion about DaBaby and how gangster he is. It's quite entertaining. After that we dive in to how positive you need to be to be successful. Stop the hating!!! Finally, we get in to the actual interview. Here are the questions we asked DJ Buza: Tell us your story How was your transition from Florida to Vegas What struggles have you had being out in Vegas Did you have to adjust and play more West Coast music What are your upcoming projects The topic for DJing 101 this week is Networking, which is an exremely important thing in any industry, but more so in the entertainment industry. We go over the ways that we network and have done so over the years. Also, the proper way for a DJ to network with other DJs and industry professionals. This weeks 3 club songs that we chose were: Meduza feat. GOODBOYS - Piece Of Your Heart French Montana feat. City Girls - Wiggle It Sech feat. Darell, Nicky Jam, Ozuna, Anuel AA - Otro Trago (Remix) We talk about each song in depth and how well the songs work in our markets, as well as other markets. Also, how Piece Of Your Heart was created to inspire other producers to make radio friendly house music. We talked about how Wiggle It uses a great sample to create a "twerkable" club banger. And how popular the original Otro Trago is and that the remix is even better and will be much more popular based on the artists that are involved. We only talked about 1 edit/bootleg/remix this week, and that was the Lion King Edits by Deville & Brain Dawe. They brought back something that they created a few years ago, but with 3 different drops. I hope you guys like it, and make sure to email us with any questions or topics you would like us to discuss. thetakeabreakpodcast@gmail.com

Are you ready to get your disco on? I said, are you ready to get your DISCO ON??? Because if not, then this mix isn't for you. Just in time for your Memorial Day weekend mischief, I'm delivering two heaping servings of some of the freshest, phattest and funkiest slices of heaven this side of the galaxy or more like intergalactic space funk that's so fierce, even your mom will have to wiggle it, just a little bit! Starting things off, Joe T. Vannelli delivers an updated version of the classic "Doctor Love" originally performed by First Choice. For all purposes, this version is titled "Doctor House" and definitely sets the mood for the rest of the mix. This, of course, is followed by Lonnie Gordon's 1991 classic "I'm Gonna Catch You" and with 7th Heaven at the helm, you can't go wrong. We also have Ricki Lee's latest "Wiggle It" which basically turns the table on the 90's house classic originally performed by 2 in a Room. Other notable ditties worth mentioning are Lenny B's latest "Turn Up the Radio" which is a discofied version of the Sylvane mix, which recently appeared on my latest BPM edition and Sabrina Johnston taking an old church hymn "Peace in the Valley" and turning it into a disco floor stomper. Two other songs you should keep an eye on, only because you'll be hearing them a lot this summer are Kurd Maverick and Sam Obernik's "Love Emergency" and the Pussycat Dolls "Hush Hush". With the chorus "If you should fall, fall for me.Stick around I'm what you need.I'm not asking for eternity. It's just a little love emergency" "Love Emergency" is a surefire winner! Woo daddy.it's getting HOT in h-e-r-e! I guarantee you, the boys will be clamoring for this one. Now you may be asking yourselves.Pussycat Dolls? Followed by your second question, Dave Aude? I can hear it now . . . WTF??? Let me tell ya, the Dolls and Dave combo is a winner! I think this is the first time Dave has shown us his funkier side and the Dolls really deliver the goods. "Hush Hush" is a song about the dissolution of a relationship where the protagonist finally declares about 2/3 of the way in that she's broken.then the song just drops and those oh so familiar words are uttered."At first, I was afraid, I was petrified." Now, if you don't know those lyrics by now, we may have to strip you of your gay card and send you back to gay 101 for a refresher. Yes, they manage to work in the classic Gloria Gaynor disco anthem "I Will Survive" and never once does it sound cheesy. Folks, this is gonna be big, mark-my-word. There are four volumes to this set, which will be released each day until Friday. I broke it up between funky and soulful. I wanted to get the funky mixes out first for those of you taking an extended holiday so you had your soundtrack ready to go by the time you're out the door on Friday. The soulful mixes will come out Thursday and Friday, just in time for any weekend bar-b-cues or parties you may have planned. I've finished all four mixes and have to say they are smokin'! Then again, I'm partial to house in it's purest form and think everyone pretty much knows that by now. Anywho, I've gotta get out and enjoy this fabulous fall weather we've been having! You heard right, it's been pretty cool at night and in the mornings, but the sunshine and cool breeze during the day are alright with me. I'll be back tomorrow with the next installment. Until then, enjoy! Album : T-Dance Edition v3 Genre : Dance, Disco, Funky, House Year : 2009 Total Time : 1:19:12:00 Track : 1 Title : Doctor Love (Doctor House Remix) Artist : Joe T Vannelli feat.
