This afternoon, Washington, D.C. will stage a grand military parade for the U.S. Army's 250th birthday. Tanks, Black Hawk helicopters, and 6,700 soldiers will rumble down Constitution Avenue, turning what began as an anniversary salute into a made-for-TV tribute to the president on his own birthday. Meanwhile, the nation edges toward authoritarianism. Over the past week, masked ICE agents swept through Los Angeles in raids that detained scores of immigrants—many with legal status—stoking fear far beyond the undocumented community. The playbook is familiar: demonize “others,” then expand the target list. High-profile confrontations underscore how aggressively the administration punishes dissent. Federal agents forced California Senator Alex Padilla to the ground and hand-cuffed him during a press conference; he was released but not formally arrested. Newark's mayor, Ras Baraka, was arrested after trying to inspect a new private detention center, and New Jersey Congresswoman LaMonica McIver now faces federal charges for defending him. The crackdown isn't limited to immigration. Elite universities from Harvard on down are under investigation, broadcasters like CBS and ABC have paid steep settlements after First-Amendment-protected reporting, and law firms viewed as “too liberal” have seen security clearances yanked and federal contracts canceled. Those who complied did so under duress; those who fought back have won some courtroom victories, yet the White House often ignores rulings it dislikes, even from a generally sympathetic Supreme Court. That same Court will soon decide Kennedy v. Braidwood Management, a case that could strip away no-cost coverage for preventive care—including PrEP, cancer screenings, and birth-control prescriptions—for more than 150 million people. If the justices side with Braidwood, insurers could drop these benefits or price them out of reach—an outcome that would hit LGBTQ communities first and hardest. Our relationships, marriages, and hard-won legal protections are again on the line. While extremists ban LGBTQ books and shoehorn sectarian doctrine into public classrooms, we're asked to trust that we won't be next. History says otherwise. So as we celebrate Pride for the rest of June, remember what's at stake. Martin Niemöller's warning still echoes: First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—Because I was not a trade unionist.

Pride is here, and while the political landscape may feel unstable and our rights constantly under siege, one truth remains: the LGBTQ community will always find a way to throw a damn good party. Or, as the Scissor Sisters cheekily reminded us, “Let's Have a Kiki.” Reimagining the Classics Originally, the plan was to freshen up this year's edition with newer remixes of iconic gay anthems. But after diving headfirst into a sea of fanmade bootlegs — many of which ranged from barely passable to downright unlistenable — I realized that over the years, I had already assembled the best of the best. So, instead of chasing ghosts, I shifted gears and pulled together what I consider to be the most powerful, energetic, and expertly crafted versions of these beloved tracks that had already been immortalized in digital form. The Ultimate Essentials Some songs were no-brainers — standout mixes that continue to dominate queer dancefloors year after year. Others posed a challenge, with multiple excellent interpretations vying for a spot. In those cases, I went with what worked best in the mix and what kept the momentum flowing. Sadly, a few favorites didn't make the final cut, not because they weren't worthy, but because they didn't quite fit this year's energy. That's always the hardest part — deciding what to keep and what to let go. In the end, what you're getting is a tightly crafted experience: essential gay anthems from as far back as the '70s, reinvented with a modern edge that will hit just right for Millennials and Gen Z — and likely give Gen X and Boomers a reason to raise a glittery eyebrow and smile. These aren't just remixes — they're reinventions that breathe new life into songs that already had a heartbeat of their own. A Community Effort I want to give a massive shoutout to Hans, who responded to my call for suggestions with enthusiasm and insight. While I already had most of his picks in the archive, and only a couple made the final mix, his contribution helped steer the direction and is greatly appreciated. Hopefully, I did you proud, Hans. World Pride, Doctor's Orders, and a Delayed Drop World Pride reaches its grand finale this weekend in Washington, D.C., which feels a bit off-kilter since it typically wraps up toward the end of June. I had fully intended to get these sets out much earlier, but between deep diving into remix archives and juggling an endless cycle of doctor's appointments (check recent posts for that saga), time slipped through my fingers like glitter in a windstorm. What's Next?

This brings us up to speed just in time for the Spring Edition 2025. I'll be honest—new releases have been on the lighter side lately. So, to balance the energy, I pulled in a few standout tracks from past editions to round out this set and give it some extra weight. Still Plenty of New Music to Keep the Floor Moving That doesn't mean there's a shortage of fire. This edition features fresh tracks and fierce remixes from some of the biggest names in pop and dance. Expect new heat from The Weeknd, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez, Tate McRae, Lola Young, and the ever-iconic Lady Gaga. One of the standout moments comes courtesy of a killer remix of Beautiful People, the latest collaboration between David Guetta and Sia. These two have a proven track record of club-ready bangers, and this one doesn't disappoint. Taking a Beat: Upcoming Diva Hall of Fame Entry Next week, I'm planning to take a short break while working on something a bit special—a Diva Hall of Fame reboot for Adele. With the sheer volume of newer remixes that span her entire catalog, it felt like the right time to refresh her entry. Since she's wrapped up her Las Vegas residency and likely won't be dropping new material for a while, this gives us a solid stopping point to reflect on her evolution as both a vocalist and a dancefloor muse. I also had Celine Dion in my sights for a reboot, but that's temporarily on hold. I'm hoping to get Dirty Disco to remix one of her biggest hits—a track that, shockingly, never received an official remix. If he takes it on, that'll give me the green light to move forward. Recovery Update: The Not-So-Glamorous Reality I want to take a moment to thank everyone for your kind messages and support during my recovery. That said, it's not going as smoothly—or as quickly—as I had hoped. The painkillers I've been prescribed are fine for regular pain, but when it comes to the debridement process (scraping off dead skin, aka those blackened areas from the wound), they're totally useless. They've managed to remove a good chunk already, but it's slow as hell. Frankly, this should've been done when I was in the hospital for six days under anesthesia. Instead, I'm stuck dealing with this now, awake, and under a double dose of pain meds that barely touch the surface. It still hurts like a motherfucker. What really worries me is that this is the longest I've ever been on opioids. Dependency is starting to feel way too real. I'm currently trying to find a doctor—though I don't even know what kind—who can remove the remaining dead ...

This year, I made it a point to weave in some Tea Dance-style tracks to break up the monotony of the tribal-heavy set. Let's be honest, a lot of what's been coming out in this space lately is straight-up uninspired — poor mastering, weak vocals, and a glaring lack of creativity compared to the pioneers of the genre. It's like everyone's copy-pasting the same blueprint, trying to force a square peg into a round hole. If you're going to sell your work on Bandcamp for $5 to $6 a pop, step up your game. Stop churning out the same recycled formula. That said, I've been leaning more toward Henriq Moraes, who, at the very least, brings solid production values and avoids that annoying high-pitched sound you hear too often these days. His remixes are fresh, varied, and don't feel like the same song on repeat. There are a few other producers I keep my eye on, but they're not as prolific. Even so, Henriq isn't pumping out new tracks every week, which is how it should be if you want quality. Mor Avrahami continues to bring the heat with his remixes, as does Dirty Disco. These guys know how to keep it fresh and exciting. But let's not forget the legends still out there touring, remixing, and schooling the next generation. I'm talking about the likes of Danny Verde, Cajjmere Wray, Nick Harvey, and other masters of the craft. Their experience shows in the style, hooks, and embellishments they add to their remixes. These touches are what separate a "meh" track from one that slays. Standout Moments & Must-Listen Tracks Speaking of Danny Verde and Tom Stephan — these two veteran producers joined forces to reimagine Lady Gaga's "Disease," and the result is nothing short of masterful. While there's no shortage of mediocre (and outright bad) remixes of this track, their darker, moodier approach cuts through the noise. The remix leans into a shadowy, underground vibe, amplifying the song's raw intensity. The undeniable hook pulls you in from the jump and refuses to let go, making their version a clear standout in a sea of forgettable attempts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKE3sIOHH60 On a related note, Nick Harvey recently dropped an entire EP of remixes for "Stand Up" by Suzanne Palmer. This one caught me off guard — not only for the quality but for the names attached. Two standouts are the mixes from Cajjmere Wray and the elusive Eddie Baez. Yes, that Eddie Baez. I didn't even know he was still active in the scene! Both versions are stellar, but I had to roll with Eddie's for nostalgia's sake.

And this set more than delivers. Bursting at the seams with peak-hour anthems, we've packed it with tracks from your favorite divas—old and new—including Kylie, Rihanna, Celine, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney (BITCH), Taylor Swift, Kelly Rowland, Beyoncé, Shakira, Loleatta Holloway, Christina Aguilera, Charli XCX, and Billie Eilish. Believe us, it doesn't get any realer than this. 11 Days to Protect Our Rights: Why This Election Matters With only 11 days until election day, now is the time for our final message to anyone considering sitting this one out or voting third party. The stakes couldn't be higher, especially for the LGBTQ community. This election will impact marriage equality, workplace protections, access to PrEP, housing rights, government employment (including military service), and women's reproductive rights like abortion, birth control, IUD, IVF, Mifepristone, the morning after pill, and yes, condoms. It will shape gun control, voting rights, and even the future of free speech. This isn't hyperbole—the outcome will profoundly impact your everyday life. Hell, Republicans are even going after your porn. Porn Hub has already stopped operating in Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Utah, and Virginia. This includes gay porn, which has been upheld under the First Amendment but has been steadily eroded ever since by SCOTUS. The recent SCOTUS decision in Trump vs. United States grants unprecedented powers to the President, essentially making the office a monarchy. Under another Trump administration, there's nothing to prevent an assault on our constitutional rights, including due process in our pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. Some might think that voting for Jill Stein, who reappears every four years like a cicada to disrupt elections, is a viable option. This misguided choice effectively hands the election to Trump. Voting for Kamala Harris, on the other hand, ensures your continued freedom to speak out on issues like the Middle East without risking violence or repression—a stark reality we could face if Trump returns to power and enacts martial law. I urge you to vote—vote early or drop off your absentee ballot at your nearest dropbox (not mail), as Rick and I will be doing today. This election is nothing less than a choice between fascism and our open, free society. Our right to live authentically, to speak openly, and to challenge injustice depends on it. Our Republic, our freedoms,

This set is structured a bit differently from past efforts. We typically utilize key mixing for our podcasts, allowing for smoother transitions and a more pleasant listening experience. However, in this episode, the keys aligned perfectly, enabling us to load most of the Tea Dance-style tracks upfront before transitioning into the big circuit tribal beats you're accustomed to. Think of it as a slow build to the big room sound. Don't be fooled though, there's fire from the beginning. We have several notable entries, including the Superchumbo remix of the 80s gay anthem classic "Why" by Bronski Beat featuring a guest vocal by Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys. This was released in conjunction with a newly remastered and expanded edition of their queer classic "Age of Consent" album, a coming-of-age album for young queers in the early 80s. That song is quickly followed up by a remake of Madonna's "Into the Groove" by Drew G, surprisingly released around the same time as the Bronski Beat album in the 80s. Drew transforms the original dance groove into a big room scorcher, reimagining the song for late-night circuit audiences. There are countless Madonna remakes, but this version is truly one for the history books. Since we're on 80s throwbacks, Jace M & Toy Armada deliver the unexpected "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" by Belinda Carlisle. A proud LGBTQ+ community supporter and gay icon, Carlisle (of Go-Go's fame) shines in this remix. Jace and Toy's signature big room anthem style turns the giant pop song into a sweeping, hypnotic sing-along that captures the original's spirit. Don't miss it. Of course, we've got a plethora of new material from the diva of the moment, Chappell Roan, as well as Katy Perry, Kesha, Hayla, Anne-Marie, and the always fabulous Kylie Minogue (more on her in a moment). This set also features new and reworked songs from Gen X and Millennial divas like Erin Hamilton (RIP), Miss Suzanne Palmer, Anastacia, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Antoinette Roberson. As you can see, we've packed this set to the gills with old and new favorites that are bound to fuel your workouts for months to come. We had promised to deliver several reworked Diva Hall of Fame episodes but decided to cut it down to one. There seems to be a lack of appreciation for our work, and frankly, I'm not draining my bank account for folk's listening pleasure that refuse to support our efforts. The next release will be the long-overdue update for Kylie Minogue. It will be private and available only to those who've supported us since April — no matte...

This edition's cover art is courtesy of Mark De Lange, also known as Dirty Disco. Mark isn't just a prodigious and talented DJ who helps keep many of our Circuit and Anthems sets glued together; he's also a businessman, entrepreneur, and a genuinely nice guy. The hot daddy aspect is just an added bonus. Party Favorz wanted to celebrate this edition with real people we know, and it's an honor that Mark shared a variety of photos with us to choose for the cover. He even shared more than we asked for, but let's just say, we're impressed. If you find yourself in Houston (TX) anytime soon, head on over to the Montrose area and drop by his bar, the Houston Eagle (611 Hyde Park, Houston, TX 77006) where he spins on Sundays and say hi. Tell him Party Favorz sent you. The Importance of Voting in 2024 As we celebrate Gay Pride month, it's crucial to address some pressing issues. It's an election year, folks, and it's the single most important one in our lifetime. It was true in 2016 when we urged everyone to vote for Clinton, but many couldn't get past the email controversy despite her being the most qualified person to ever run for office. Her loss resulted in a narcissistic, six-times-bankrupt, and morally corrupt individual holding the highest seat in our nation, which allowed him to install three conservative justices on the Supreme Court, giving them a majority. Since then, they've rolled back voting rights, overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade, and expanded religious liberties to the point where doctors and pharmacists can openly discriminate against women, minorities, and the LGBTQ community without fear of punishment through state laws barring discrimination. Effectively, they've polluted our Constitution and severely restricted our 14th Amendment rights, and they're only getting started. The Threats to LGBTQ Rights Many of the hard-fought rights LGBTQ people have fought for, like marriage equality, sodomy laws, and the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, have been won by the struggles and willingness of the gay community to fight for the equal rights we're guaranteed under the Constitution. Now, all of it—ALL OF IT—is on the chopping block. After overturning Roe v. Wade, Justice Thomas, in his concurring opinion, went even further, inviting lawsuits to overturn contraception and marriage equality. Don't be fooled; this court is not comprised of strict constitutionalists but rather activist judges who are attempting to inje...

This set is packed with timeless gay anthems, including Denis Bravo's masterpiece rework of Whitney Houston's "I'll Always Love You," seamlessly blended with a snippet of the original Hex Hector remix. We've also included Ariana Grande's "Yes, And," based on the classic "Vogue" sample, alongside a modern Madonna rework by Leo Frappier (aka Division 4). Chappell Roan's breakthrough hit "Pink Pony Club" gets a dancefloor-ready rework by Stephen Jusko & DJ Blacklow, followed by Ethel Cain's "Sun Bleached Flies" and a haunting fan-made mashup of her vocals with Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" instrumental. Of course, no set would be complete without the original Robyn version of "Dancing On My Own," remixed by Luca Debonaire, Tony Ruiz, and Matt Consola. Adam Lambert and Sigala pay tribute to Sylvester with their rendition of "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)," while Lily Allen's "Fuck You" gets a rousing Dubstep remix. These two volumes of "Gay Anthems For A New Generation 2024" are truly the best yet, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community's progress over the past 20 years. In other news, we're still falling short of our monthly goals to keep the lights on. If you haven't already, please consider pitching in $5 a month to cover our operating expenses. Party Favorz won't be around forever, but we'd love to finish the year strong. We'll be back next week with a massive two-volume Pride Edition for our circuit boys. Until then...ENJOY! It's that time of the year when the beats get bolder and the nights longer, perfect for some serious dance floor action. This year's mix is a rollercoaster of emotions and energy, starting with a mind-blowing mashup of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" and Beyoncé's "Summer Renaissance." It's a track that's more than just a song – it's a celebration, a nod to the legends who've shaped our world. Diva classics are getting a fresh circuit anthem makeover too. We're talking about Kim English's "Unspeakable Joy" and Tove Lo's "Habits," reimagined in a way that only true circuit anthems can. And Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" is hitting the circuit anthem scene with a new energy that's both nostalgic and exhilarating. But wait, there's more – we're talking about diva collaborations that are nothing short of legendary. Dolly Parton and Miley Cyrus on "Wrecking Ball"? Yes, please! And Dolly Party and Beth Sacks giving us their unique spin on the mashup of 4 Non Blondes classic "What's Up" – it's like rediscovering these songs for the first time. Cher, the queen herself, is gracing our holiday circuit anthems lineup with not one, but two tracks. Her "Angels In the Snow" and "DJ Play a Christmas Song" are getting the circuit anthem treatment by Dirty Disco and Guy Scheiman, and they're bound to be the highlight of your holiday season. And for the grand finale, we've got a circuit anthem remix of Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas" that's so good, it'll make leaving the dance floor the hardest goodbye. The AI Factor in Music We can't ignore the significant role AI is playing in the music scene today. It's reached a point where AI-generated voices are singing tracks they might never have touched, including those by artists no longer with us. A prime example in our latest set is the AI rendition of Dua Lipa performing the Wham! and George Michael classic, "Careless Whisper," remixed by Henriq Moraes. The remix is impressive, but it's clear that AI still has a way to go in perfectly capturing an artist's unique vocal style. This phenomenon is widespread online, with music labels actively removing many of these AI-generated tracks from YouTube. The issue? Rights holders aren't seeing the revenue from these streams. This emerging trend is something artists and their representatives will need to address in future contracts. The situation brings to mind certain "Black Mirror" episodes – specifically "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too" and "Joan Is Awful." In these stories,

Party Favorz is turning up the volume with our annual Fall Edition for 2023, featuring HOT cowboys and, you guessed it, the most electrifying circuit anthems around. If you're ready to sweat, you're in the right place. The Bryan Adams Revival: A Circuit Anthem Feast Our journey begins with a new spin on Bryan Adams' iconic 80s anthem "Heaven," reimagined by Edson Pride and Annie Fox. This revamped version doesn't stray far from the classic but revs it up into a tribal house extravaganza. Sydney's Oscar Jamo Revamps "Bulletproof" Next in line, Oscar Jamo from Sydney infuses La Roux's electro-pop sensation "Bulletproof" with a twist of Progressive House, eventually catapulting it into big room. This little creative detour lands the remix a well-deserved spot in our mix of circuit anthems. The Dirty Disco Mixes We Can't Resist As is tradition, we're injecting a dose of Tea Dance with the magic of Dirty Disco into the experience. This installment features new songs by Troy Sivan, Selena Gomez, Kylie, and even Sam Smith doing a duet with Christina Aguilera on her classic ballad "Beautiful." Oh, and let's not forget LP's “Golden”—an absolute gem. Smooth Moves with Kristine W and Dario Xavier Taking us down another groove, Kristine W takes on Sade's timeless track "Smooth Operator," and Dario Xavier lifts it sky-high with his unique Tribal House flair making this a worthy circuit anthem. Guy Scheiman: Israel's Hottest Circuit Anthems DJ Our playlist wouldn't be complete without the multi-talented Guy Scheiman, hailing from Israel. He adds his magic touch to David Bowie's "Let's Dance" and revisits the Steve Mac vs. Mosquito's early 2000s dance hit "Lovin' You More." To cap it off, he's got a brand-new track from Broadway star and LGBTQ+ ally Idina Menzel—“Move,” which is fresh off her latest dance album "Drama Queen." Nick "Harvey's Double Feature Let's not overlook Nick Harvey, who rocks the floor with an original called "7 Days" and he brings the fun party joy of Dua Lipa's “Dance the Night (Away).” His dub mix of Kylie's latest, "Tension," is a pulsating dub masterpiece that simply can't be ignored. Award-Worthy Circuit Anthems Remixes Jace M & Toy Armada make an emotional impact with their Big Room take on Miley Cyrus' "Used To Be Young." On a different note, Steven Redant, Danny Verde, and Miss Nina Flowers hits us with its unapologetic queerness the circuit anthem "Arriba Maricones." Best Updated Circuit Anthems Classics The top honor for the best updated remixed classic is a tie! Kudos to the Weehs Michelini remix of "Absolutely Not" by Deborah Cox and Rafael Barreto's ...

This time, the beat is wild, and the rhythm is tribal. We're here to take you on a sonic adventure that has everything from nostalgia to the latest big tribal house hits. We kick things off with a heart-rending tribute mix dedicated to an icon whose recent loss is still a heavy weight on our hearts. Who can forget the magnetic song "Nothing Compares 2 U" from 1990? Well, Israel's Tomer Maizner has turned this tear-jerker into an enormous big room remix. It's a tribute that manages to honor the original while turning it into a colossal sing-a-long for the broken-hearted. Not to be left behind, Kylie Minogue's unstoppable summer hit "Padam Padam" is transformed into a big room sensation by Toy Armada, an artist known for his creativity and flair. The essence of circuit tribal house is alive and well, especially with collaborations like the one between Toy Armada and Jace M on hits like "Alone" by Kim Petras, featuring Nicki Minaj. Their combination delivers a force that resonates with the dance floor, leaving everyone craving more. But what's a summer without some classics reinvented? Guy Scheiman makes a triumphant return with a progressive remake of Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff," while Dario Xavier adds his unique touch to current hits and classic Eurodance sensations. These sounds, rich with the essence of circuit anthems, will have you dancing like never before. Party Favorz's commitment to innovation is also reflected in our efforts to blend the Circuit & Anthem series with our Tea Dance collections. The goal? To enhance the listening experience without becoming repetitive. And when we call upon our creative geniuses like Jace M & Toy Armada, they rise to the challenge. The mantle of remix duty, once filled by the likes of Hex Hector, Almighty, and 7th Heaven, now proudly resides with Dirty Disco, creating floor-stompers that are original and mesmerizing. Our love for the dance floor goes beyond one style, as Dirty Disco brings gems like Rita Ora's "You and I" and "GODDESS" by Keeana Kee and Ariana Castelli. These tracks encapsulate the spirit of the LGBTQ community, uplifting and empowering. Keep an eye on DJs like Ray Isaac, who's taken his game to a whole new level. With remixes of Eurovision winners and potential pop superstars, Isaac shows that Dirty Disco isn't the only game in town, as he carves a niche for himself in the world of circuit anthems and circuit tribal house.

This sequel compilation is brimming with reimagined gay anthems by industry legends such as Donna Summer, ABBA, Kylie Minogue (who, incidentally, is riding high with a chart-topping hit as we speak), Adele, Pet Shop Boys, Ultra Nate, Robyn, Cher, Madonna, Whitney Houston, and countless more beloved divas. The roster of tracks in this collection doesn't warrant a detailed introduction — each song and artist holds a distinctive place in the heart of the LGBTQ+ community and has contributed significantly to its vibrant culture. With resources permitting, Party Favorz has ambitious plans in the pipeline — a Gay Pride circuit and anthems set slated for launch next week. Creating these music sets can often run up a bill north of $100. The challenge lies in the fact that the songs earmarked for these special circuit compilations are not readily available on the DJ service we rely on. Most of these need to be procured from alternate online platforms like Beatport or directly from the DJ's Bandcamp page (though several are free on Soundcloud). Nevertheless, we are committed to making it happen and will do our utmost to deliver a fresh set for our devoted circuit boys. Remember to stay proud and keep the celebration going. Let the anthems of unity, love, and acceptance echo in every corner of the world. Until the next time...ENJOY! This compilation celebrates iconic modern Gay Pride anthems and their importance to the LGBTQ+ community. The 2023 selection revitalizes legendary anthems from the past half-century, presenting them in an updated format for today's dancefloors. We bring you the most emblematic, compelling songs that echo the universal messages of love, unity, resilience, and defiance within our community. Kicking off this collection, we've selected the ever-resilient anthem, "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. It's featured in an exquisite, previously unexplored version - Eric Kupper's House remix, offering a gentle start before escalating into high-energy beats. The list also highlights Whitney Houston's timeless hit, "I Will Always Love You" in a Julian Marsh remix, and Diana Ross' empowering track "I'm Coming Out," remixed by Barry Harris. Each song carries significant meaning for our community, often becoming soundtracks to personal stories of love, acceptance, and identity. Other standouts include Lizzo's "Everybody's Gay" and Miley Cyrus' "Flowers," showing the continual evolution of queer music. Toni Braxton's heart-wrenching "Un-Break My Heart" and CeCe Peniston's classic "Finally," both in revamped remixes, add to the rich tapestry of our anthems. To ensure these powerful messages resonate with listeners, we've chosen remixes that retain the essence of each anthem while injecting a modern energy, making these tunes relatable to the current LGBTQ+ generation. The curation of these modern Gay Pride anthems of 2023 was a challenging task due to the abundance of choices, but we are confident we've selected the most impactful tracks that resonate globally. Our goal was to craft a collection that honors the past while embracing the future, mirroring the continual progress within our community. So, turn up the volume, let the music inspire you, and remember: these songs aren't just anthems; they're a testament to our journey, resilience, and pride. Stay tuned for the release of volume 2 of the 2023 Gay Anthems For A New Generation collection, filled with more modern Gay Pride anthems to soundtrack your celebrations. Enjoy and keep the pride alive! Album: Gay Anthems for a New Generation 2023 Vol. 1Genre: House, Future House, EDM, CircuitYear: 2023Total Time: 03:11:22 1. This set includes two tribute songs to Irene Cara: "What A Feeling" by Mor Avrahami and Ran Ziv featuring Ilor Bar, and "Fame" by Black Flamingo and Mar Shine featuring Choir+. The updated versions of these classics with new vocals are outstanding and pay homage to the originals. Many of you may remember the excellent rework of "Fame" by DJ Bill Bennett and Suzanne Palmer back in the day and recently featured on The Ultimate Gay Anthems & Pride Classics volume 4. These updated versions with new vocals are stellar and do the original justice. Miss Cara would be honored. The legendary Suzanne Palmer has also featured in the Tony Moran and Guy Scheiman collaboration of "Praise Up" with various remixes to suit all tastes making it the ultimate circuit anthem. Debby Holiday, another favorite of Party Favorz, has a new remix by Dirty Disco and Matt Consola of her remake of the Soul and Disco classic "I Can't Stand the Rain" and a blazing remix of "Love & Peace." Party Favorz believes that Miss Holiday and Miss Palmer deserve an induction into the Diva Hall of Fame due to their contributions to the gay community, which can't be overstated. Still, these are big circuit anthems from a diva with a huge voice that shouldn't go unnoticed. Additionally, Disco Queen Carol Jiani returns with Sammy X on the super gay "I'm A Diva Baby," and Miley Cyrus, Sam Smith, and P!nk's latest hits are included with Dirty Disco and Zambianco doing remix honors. While Party Favorz maintains a big tribal house sound throughout the set, plenty of progressive sounds and mainstream songs are Tea Dance tracks included to mix things up making for the ultimate circuit anthems of spring. Finally, Party Favorz asks for your support to sustain our current level of growth. Though streaming and downloading are not dependent on your donation, we greatly appreciate any contributions to support our efforts to bring you the latest from the world of dance. As we inch closer to bidding farewell to another year, it's the perfect time to rewind, relish, and rejoice in the rhythm of circuit tribal house music. Kicking off the tracklist, we have Filipe Guerra & D'Layna's 'We Got the Power'. The intro mix sets the stage with an energizing aura, invigorating the listeners and priming them for what lies ahead. This is quickly followed by the unmistakable vocals of Beyoncé with 'Cuff It', remixed into an electrifying version by Guy Scheiman. The Bent Collective teams up with Nina Flowers to create 'Arriba Maricones', a track that raises the stakes with Steven Redant's Big Mix. Siege's 'Waiting' gets an extended mix by Nick Harvey, while Todrick Hall's 'Pre Madonna' is transformed into a dance anthem thanks to Alan Capetillo's brilliant remix. Russ Rich & Debby Holiday's 'I Can't Stand The Rain' gets a club mix revamp by Stephen Jusko, and Lizzo's 'About Damn Time' receives the Nick Harvey treatment, resulting in a surefire party hit. As we move further into this dance paradise, Klaas × Matthew Tasa take us on a nostalgic trip with their house remix of 'Take on Me'. France Joli's 'Let Me Love You' gets a house makeover by Dirty Disco & Matt Consola, adding to the overall groove of the compilation. Nacho Chapado & Ivan Gomez urge you to get up and move with 'U Wanna Get Up', an original mix that carries the undeniable vibe of the dance floor. David Guetta & Sia's iconic 'Titanium 2k23' gets a fresh remix by HenriqMoraes, giving the song a modern twist. Dave Matthias' 'Stay With Me Tonight' gets a festival-ready remix by Elof de Neve, and Edson Pride & Junior Senna take 'Good Vibrations' to the next level with their original mix. The list goes on, with each song better than the last, including remixes of tracks by Sam Smith, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, Pink, Offer Nissim, and many more. Each one has been meticulously selected and crafted to produce a unique sound that captures the essence of the year. Capping off this Holiday Edition 2022,

The ATL has finally started to cool down while Party Favorz keeps heating up with our annual Fall Edition! I decided not to make everyone wait another week for this drop because I was able to get a couple of major things out of the way earlier in the week. A lot is going on in this set that features something for everyone. Of course, we've got all the latest circuit hits and pop hits remixed for the circuit, but I'm starting to pull in some mashups for this series and a couple of unexpected 80s throwbacks threw me off track but were so good they had to be included. The Journey x Edson Pride remix of Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) is monumental. We closed out the set with another one of Joel Dickinson's (a.k.a. Thee Werqn B!tches) deliciously devilish mashups featuring the unlikely casting of Lizzo, 4 Non Blondes, and Barbra Streisand mixed into a delightful confection of hi-energy glitterama. Jace M & Toy Armada have graced us with an uplifting tribute mix of Everyday by Kim English. This version is their signature style, which suits the track and its positive message. With the recent passing of Olivia Newton-John, I thought it was fitting to pay tribute to this gay icon. The woman has a treasure trove of music with five #1 hits, a multitude of Top 10 hits, two #1 albums, and she's a 4-time Grammy winner who has sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Many people aren't aware that her career (much like Taylor Swift) started in country music, then country pop before moving to pop music. Most of you do know that she starred opposite John Travolta in Grease, whose soundtrack is one of the world's biggest-selling albums. Newton-John battled breast cancer three times and was an advocate for breast cancer research as well as environmental and animal rights. As a gay icon and ally to our community, she appeared in the 1996 drama It's My Party — a movie about AIDS and dying with dignity. I noticed that there weren't any remixes for Miss Newton-John other than Physical (thank you Leo Blanco) so I dug out the Victor Calderone remix of Hopelessly Devoted To You from the Grease soundtrack, which — despite its age — fits perfectly into this set. Barry Harris had recently reworked Xanadu but I thought that wouldn't quite fit in and only a few of my followers would get it. I just wanted to pay my respects and give love to this woman who was a big part of my life. Now, I'm officially taking this next week off and will be back the following week with one of my bucket list series. It's been a hot minute since our last Circuit & Anthems set and for a good reason. Party Favorz was doling out a marathon of gay anthem classics that 1) there wasn't enough time to complete a circuit set for Pride and 2) there weren't enough worthy new tracks to compile a Pride set. The good news is that good things come to those who wait. Summer Edition 2022 features the cream of the crop in circuit anthems for your summer workouts and/or pure enjoyment. This one is for the boys that enjoy that big room tribal sound with progressive elements sprinkled throughout. Speaking of progressive elements — Mor Avrahami has been on a roll with his releases. It's always good to mix these sets up and Avrahami in the vein of Offer Nissim and Yinon Yahel — has been churning out the goods one right after another. Don't be surprised that he shows up here quite a bit. Just know that some of his great releases had to be cut out to keep this set tight. I also want to point out that "Daddy" by Sleepsleep & Tahlia Paris takes on a new life once Jace M & Toy Armada got their hands on the song. They've sampled the disco classic "Relight My Fire" by Dan Hartman. To my knowledge, this song has never been sampled before because it doesn't lend itself to a specific hook. It's one of those epic disco classics that starts with a prelude and three minutes later veers into the actual song. In this case, neither has any association with the other but merely connects the two parts. Jace and Toy sampled the prelude for the basis of "Daddy" turning the darker original into a fun tribal-disco romp that's bound to pack floors around the world. I don't think most DJs would have thought to sample that aspect of the song because it's just okay but damn if it doesn't work so well here. There's a lot to get excited about in this latest release but I'll let the music do the talking. I should be back next week with our Summer Melt series featuring the latest Dance Club hits and club tracks heating up dancefloors. Until the next time...ENJOY! We have finally reached the end of the 2022 Gay Anthems For A New Generation series and this last set doesn't hold back. Once again, in an effort to contemporize this batch — I went back the past 10 years and mixed in some newer gay anthems that when mixed in with older classics that have been re-worked for today's dancefloors make the effort feel fresh and contemporary. I even took the opportunity to throw in a couple of recent tech-house tracks that sample the gay anthems 'The Underground' by Celeda and 'Work' by Masters At Work' breathing new life into these near 20 yeard old floor-scorchers. No stone was left unturned in this series and pouring through decades of modernized classics (some outstanding while others not so much) was a daunting task that occupied the majority of the work involved in creating these sets. I dare you to find any compilation as comprehensive anywhere on Spotify or Apple Music because you won't. In short, bitches can't touch this but plenty will be none too happy to pass it off as their own. I digress. What's weighing heavily on my mind these days is the move towards an authoritarian state. Our system of government is dysfunctional. The electoral college, which gives outsized weight to the minority allows them to dictate against the wishes of the majority. The great American experiment is coming to a decisive end unless we turn this ship around in November. Even when we have the numbers to get significant legislation passed like gun control, universal healthcare, lower prescription drug costs, affordable housing, mental health resources, food assistance, and free local college tuition or trade schools — Democrats are continually stymied by an ancient artifact called the filibuster in the evenly divided Senate with Vice President Kamala Harris providing the tie-breaking vote. Originally, the filibuster was implemented to allow the Senate to be a more deliberative body of the two branches of government. You had to stand and talk for hours on end to slow down a piece of legislation. Now, you can phone your objection in from your office without even walking your lazy ass to the well of the Senate. The filibuster has been wielded as a sword against progress and prevents passing laws that benefit society as a whole. It was never intended to be used as a way to stop progress. In the case of Democrats, we have a one-seat advantage in the Senate and because of two Senators with a (D) in front of them — they refuse to suspend the filibuster to get the people's agenda enacted. Mind you, the filibuster is nowhere in the Constitution and was implemented after the Civil War to ensure that the minority was trampled over in legislation. Now, it's having the opposite effect of its original intent. Most recently, simple gun control measures can only be passed with a 60 vote threshold in the Senate because two Democratic Senators are attempting to uphold the traditions of the Senate. Meanwhile. seriously mentally defective people continue to legally purchase weapons of war and use them against innocent citizens including children. As long as members of Congress are beholden to special interests (think NRA) and unfettered money pours into campaigns and PACS with virtually zero accountability — our government will remain broken and beyond repair. The filibuster was suspended twice by Republicans to shove through two Supreme Court Justice nominations giving conservatives a majority on the court. One of these nominees was only after Mitch McConnell (the Senate Leader) upheld Obama's nomination for 9 months to replace Justice Scalito after his untimely death under the guise that no Justice should be nominated in an election year. His gamble paid off and Trump won the election that year and was able to get Justice Gorsuch confirmed to SCOTUS with a simple majority. At the end of Trump's term, Justice Ginsberg passed away and Mitch McConnell rammed through Justice (handmaiden) Amy Coney Barrett right w...

As promised, Party Favorz is back with volume 2 of the 2022 edition of Gay Anthems For A New Generation and this set is on FIRE! All the big gay anthems you'd expect in a comprehensive series like this are here along with long forgotten treasures from the past 12 or so years. I spent most of my morning going through this release with a fine tooth comb to ensure it was tight and flowed like butter. I also believe that by the time the 3rd volume drops later this next week, you will want for not as every aspect of gay life has been covered in this time capsule that honors our past and present. I would like to add another sub-category of the gay anthem list that wasn't included in the original post: teenage angst. While growing up gay has become more accepting and easier for teens, in many parts of the country (or even world) — it's still repressive. We all remember our years in high school when you just didn't come out for fear of being ostrasized or bullied or maybe you had a crush on your very straight best friend. There are a few songs in this set that touch on teenage angst, longing and anger. After watching the latest season of "Stranger Things" on Netflix and hearing "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush on repeat — it really go me thinking about the music I gravitated towards that gave me solace. It was if I was the only one that knew about Kate Bush and she belonged to and spoke to me and only me. She was later replaced by Sinead O'Connor with the release of the "Lion and the Cobra." Before all this was the Pretenders debut album." In the millennium, Emo became the standard bearer for angst-ridden teens. While you don't have to be gay to feel the isolation or depression that comes with this age group — being gay only compounded the social anxieties and the need to be accepted by your peers. I specifically want to dedicate this set to those kids and I assure you that it does in fact get better. Mind you, not perfect but much much better. I realize gay pride events have already kicked off so I'll be sure to drop the final volume around Thursday so everyone can get their gay on. There won't be an official Gay Pride release this year for the circuit boys but it will be rolled into part 1 of the 2022 Summer Edition. I've been promising our straight allies that new music is coming and I plan on sticking to that promise. Until the next time...ENJOY! Much ink has been spilt trying to define what constitutes a gay anthem, including on this very site. Since the changing of the guard from one generation to the next — Party Favorz has decided to offer a concise definition by simplifying what it was and how it's expanded from GenX to GenZ. First, not all songs embraced by the LGBT+ community were written as gay anthems but for a variety of reasons are wholly embraced by our community as being such. While the same principles that constitute a gay anthem remain in place: Big-voiced divas Overcoming hardship in love Throw your cares away Hard-won self-esteem Celebrating unashamed sexuality Search for acceptance Torch song of the world weary Love conquers all No apologies *Gay Anthem Wiki Songs pretty much about nothing that gay folk gravitate to because they're just plain fun can make the list as well even though that hues closer the 'throw your cares away' category or songs by gay artists themselves, which are agnotstic in the audience they're trying to reach. As such, when compiling this three-volume set — Party Favorz took great care to ensure that all the main staples that cross multiple generations are respresented but have been totally reworked into modern-day classics, which only shows how these songs stand the test of time. I also went back the last 12 years and yanked out several gay favorites that got us all sweaty on the dance floor to round the whole series out. So, you can expect the unexpected. There is much to celebrate in our achievements for equality while there's still much work to be done. Since of duty dictates that we're not finished yet and there are many road blocks ready to roll back our hard-fought gains over the past 20 years on the near horizon. This is something that very much weighs on my mind as Rick and I will decide whether we want to continue living in this country in the next 2 years. I'd be more than happy to stay and fight but there's not much a physically disabled person can do other than write about what I see heading our way. I'm going to leave that thought right here for now and will expand on what I'm seeing in the final volume of this series. No one needs a Debbie Downer when we should be celebrating but at some point...reality needs to sink in. For now, I want everyone (no matter your generation) to pop this first volume on and party like its 1999. Until the next time...ENJOY! The original set was updated so that the Josh Harris remix of 'Proud' by Heather Small was switched out for the original remix by Illicit and the transition from 'We Are Family' by Sister Sledge was pushed out by 15 seconds for a smoother transition. We have finally reached the end of the Ultimate Gay Anthems & PRIDE Classics series and this fifth volume does not disappoint. I cannot begin to describe how difficult it is compiling and mixing this massive series. The decision process alone determining which songs make the cut and those that get left behind is a painful process. So, if there's anything you feel is missing — it'll likely make an appearance on the forthcoming Essential Gay Anthems For A New Generation set(s) I have planned for next week. I've been syphoning new remixes for songs that will be included and placing them into their own special folder and will collect our favorites since the original series began and compile everything into possibly two massive sets. For this final set, which represents a very specific time period between the 90's and say the first 15 years of the millennium with updated classics from those periods as welll as the 80's — I want to recognize the DJs that have not only filled our lives with so much joy but enriched them with their mastery and midas touch when it comes to reworking other artists. Over the course of this 5-set journey, the bulk of the biggest names have already been reconized in our Legacy series, which honors the work of not only the living but the deceased members of this elite community. It's no wonder that Hex Hector, Junior Vasquez, Ralphi Rosario, Tony Moran, Freemasons, Almighty, 7th Heaven, DJ Barry Harris, Thunderpuss, Victor Calderone, Toy Armada & DJ Grind, Wayne G and Jonathan Peters make up the bulk of what's presented here. No other DJs have contributed so much to our happiness and for that — we are most grateful for the joy they've brought to our lives. Keep in mind that while this series is a pretty fucking big deal and massive in scope and size — in no way does it discount or relegates artists, DJs and allies to the LGBTQ+ community not mentioned or represented in this series any less worthy. We worship them all and if I've left someone out — please accept my deepest apologies. I'll be back next week. Until then...ENJOY! This set has been updated since the original post. 'I Believe 2009 (Ralphi Rosario Vocal Club Mix)' by The Absolute feat. Suzanne Palmer was substituted for 'Body Rock' by Oceana and 'Dancing On My Own (Guy Scheiman Club Remix)' by Robyn was added to the final version. No sooner than I finished yesterday's post — I found an issue with the website, which lead me down a rabbit hole of multiple issues. Mind you, nothing that affects the user experience but triggers my anal instincts of perfection. By the time I finished and resolved to leave some issues for another day — my day was lost and I was too tired to finish volume 4 of the Ultimate Gay Anthems & PRIDE Classics that I promised I was going to do. Rick has been out of town so that allowed me to get up early this morning and get to work on cleaning up this mix, while replacing a couple of tracks with better versions. Then I started adding stuff I had forgotten about and this 4-hour set turned into nearly 5 hours. The end result is shear perfection and frankly a delight for GenX and early Millennials. I had decided to skip on mixing up a variety of styles for the final two volumes, which makes things a bit easier so volume 4 is big room circuit but nothing that's over the top. There's a lot of gay anthems and quality classic gay pride cuts here. As I had previously stated, this series is as close as you're going to get to a best of the Diva Hall of Fame people have asked me for. What's nice about this is that all those leading ladies that I never got around to inducting or for whatever reason didn't feel it was warranted — are included here. People like Jeanie Tracy, Kimberly Davis, Anastacia, Suzanne Palmer (who really deserves an entry), Paula Cole, Shania Twain, Heather Small (of M People), Judy Cheeks, Alison Limerick, Lara Fabian, Nelly Furtado, Debby Holiday, Amber, Goldfrapp, Sarah Atereth, Deborah Cooper, Beth Sacks, Pepper MaShay, Andra Day, Latanza Waters, CeCe Peniston, Sabrina Johnston, Shawn Christoper, Soraya Vivian (Degrees of Motion), Thelma Houston and so many more have touched our little gay hearts at one point or another in our drama-filled lives that it's a travesty that I can't acknowledge all of them. Consider this series their honorary induction and acknowledgement of what they've meant to so many of us. We say, thank you from the bottom of our little queer hearts. We've got one more set to go, which will be the remaining Hi NRG and house music tracks before jumping into the annual Gay Anthems For A New Generation so we can wrap up our 2022 Gay Pride offerings before festivities start kicking off. The Ultimate Gay Anthems & PRIDE Classics volume 3 is now ready for mass release and this one follows in the same footsteps as its predecessors in that it goes back and forth from Hi NRG to Big Room classics. Apparently, I had compiled more tracks than I realized, so this four-set series will turn into five. I've pretty much got volume 4 in the bag but want to make some last minute track version changes and plan on dropping that tomorrow to speed things up. The goal is to have the final volume and the anticipated two-volume set of The Ultimate Gay Anthems For A New Generation out by the end of the month so we can move on to regularly scheduled programming. It's not clear if there will be an official 2022 Gay Pride set — so I'll just leave that as an open question mark. In other news, Apple went back and has now put the entire Party Favorz Store up on Apple Podcasts. The show is available in iTunes but there they only have the standard Party Favorz show and all the other shows are listed out in the wild separately from the main show (that's not how they used to do it so I may have to reach out to them to have them put under one umbrella). I'm not sure why iTunes is different from Apple Podcasts but I'm not going to spend a lot of time on it. Anywho, you can now follow Party Favorz on Apple Podcasts as well as each individual category separately and it's all under one roof here https://apple.co/3NbkT7t If you're following on iTunes, I'd still recommend using the manual  method because that one lists up to 300 episodes while the official channel only has 100. Plus, you can go back and add each category individually to keep all your folders better organized if you choose by using the feed URL for each genre I provided in my last post. Since I took that post down — I will try to have those listed in the support section later today. I should be back tomorrow. Until then...ENJOY! Party Favorz is back with volume 2 of the Ultimate Gay Anthems & Pride Classics and the gay just keeps getting gayer. To be honest, I only had an outline in my mind about what I wanted to achieve with this 'ultimate' gay anthems series. It wasn't until I started putting it together that I realize just how difficult it was going to be. In most cases, I'm trying to stick with the original versions but in other instances — I'm finding it better to go with more current remixes of the same track to keep the pace and overall flow tight. This becomes more evident once volume 3 drops later this week. No need to worry because these updated remixes stay true to the original. Because of the diverse styles included here, I found that key mixing only works for some songs but the need to change direction becomes necessary so as not to have the same style used for long stretches. That's where matching the percussive elements of each song come into play even when the styles are different. There is no software for that and it's just something I learned to do a long time ago when I either got stuck or needed to change the energy of the mix. Equally, I find myself having to re-edit many of the overly ambitious remixes that have extended drops that take you nowhere. That only happened twice in this set but considerably more in the upcoming volumes. However, I did leave 'Un-break My Heart' by Toni Braxton alone this time. This is the first Hex Hector remix that really sparked his star (even if it was done with Soul Solution) but it was clear he hadn't totally worked out his drop technique yet. Editing this song is easy but since I've never let it run all the way through before — I thought this would be the time to leave it in its full glory because it's not overly long. Any of you following the Roe v Wade issue currently exploding in the United States know that I get overly heated on political issues. After the draft opinion by SCOTUS was leaked in advance of its official release in late June — I've become inconsolable — and you should be too. What I see coming down the pipeline affects everyone — not just women. I'll have more to say about it likely at the end of all these Pride mixes because I want to be as clear and precise as to the fallout from this decision and how serious we should all be taking this. For now, I just want everyone to be free gay and happy. Lot's a great stuff heading your way. Until the next time...ENJOY! Party Favorz is officially kicking off the 2022 Gay Pride season early with volume one of the Ultimate Gay Anthems & PRIDE Classics series. These sets are a massive update to the original Gay Pride Classics sets that were originally released in 2014 (It Get's Better, Love Sensation, True Colors, Together Again & We Are Family). This and the forthcoming volumes primarily focus on gay anthems that were released in the 90s through the first half of the millennium. As far as Party Favorz is concerned, this is the golden age of club music with so many entries for inclusion it was painful to drop just one song. However, there are some newer songs that go past that timeline that have become staples in the Gay Pride arsenal as well. The majority of newer anthems will be included in the upcoming 'Ultimate Gay Anthems For A New Generation' release scheduled for later in the month. Since the original release, there has been a glut of remixes for instantly recognizable classics who's original version didn't quite fit in with the overall flow of this release so we went with the updated versions. To be certain, this is not the same series as the original releases. Barry Harris and Dirty Disco have been the main contributors who have preserved and modernized many of our favorite gay anthems. Speaking of which, you're going to find a hefty dose of other legends like Hex Hector, Junior Vasquez, Ralphi Rosario, Freemasons, Victor Calderone, Wayne G, Almighty and 7th Heaven amongst the many songs included here. Over the years, we've had a lot of calls for the creation of a best of the Diva Hall of Fame. While there are currently no plans to create such a series because it's a bit redundant — consider these final Gay Anthem releases to be just that. The tracklist alone on this series reads like a who's who of our favorite divas who've been inducted into the Hall of Fame including those one or two-hit wonders that never went beyond the kind of recognition they rightfully deserved. You will notice in this initial tracklist a little something, something by one our personal favorites K.D. Lang. The one solid remix missing from her induction into the Diva Hall of Fame was a great remix of 'Constant Craving.' I don't want to speak ill of the person who did the remix that was included in the release but it was really bad and there weren't any other options at the time of its release. Enter the fabulous legendary Tracy Young. It appears Tracy created a remix of 'Constant Craving' in late 2021 after the release of our Diva Series, which may be updated to include it later this year and can be purchased here for diehard fans. I could go on and on about how much fun this set was creating and all the headaches entailed in working in a diverse setlist like this but that would only suck the joy out of listening to it. If you enjoy this as much as we did making it — that's all that matters because there's more to come. Until the next time...ENJOY! Ahh yes, it's that time of year when the dead foilage comes alive and pollen fills our membranes reaking havoc on our sinuses while covering our outdoor belongings in a flourescent dust that seemingly never goes away. I'm talking about spring the often most desired and detested time of the year. It's that transition from a cold dank winter (milder and milder year over year) to temperate days with lots of sunshine, rain and in the United States — tornadoes. Put all of that aside for a moment and distract yourself with the Party Favorz annual Spring Edition 2022, which is chock-full of big tribal beats, big room progressive heat and the biggest divas. Someday, I should make a calendar of all the cover art from our annual series because this guy is sizzling! I'm dropping a double-hitter this weekend for a couple of key reasons: 1) this set came together flawlessly and if I sit on it for a week — new tracks will drop during that time making me compelled to add them, which just mucks everything up. 2) Our lease is up on July 3rd and since we have to give a two months notice, I'll be hitting up the glutton of new properties in our county this next week so I can be locked and loaded when I start negotiations early. All signs indicate that our complex is raising rents by $300, which in this area makes no sense. We have a 2/3 occupancy rate and there are literally dozens of new housing complexes that have been built in the past couple of years here. Add to that a sizeable amount that were already built between the 80s and just 10 years ago and there's a lot of options. We never bought a house because there's too many responsibilities involved and frankly, we don't have any kids. Truth be told, we've lived here since this place was under construction in 2017 and would like to remain here for a couple more years. Rick has talked about moving back to South Texas where we're from to be closer with his family but the reason I left the entire state was to get away from there. My father is deceased and my mother and sister now live in North Texas about a 10 hour drive from there (yes, Texas is a big ass state) but that wouldn't be for another couple of years if we decided to. My goal is to be able to negotiate a new 24 month lease with a moderate increase that buys us enough time (because we hate moving) and by then, our plans could change depending on what direction the United States takes in its governing. Personally, I see things going south quick, which is why we'll be renewing our passports shortly to be prepared for the worst. Touring these properties and gathering information, rates and desirable locations takes a lot of time. Don't ever go by listings online as I've found in the past the rates are inflated. It would be foolish not to go to the physical property to see what they're not showing you in these apartment finder apps. That and they almost always have move-in deals like the $2,000 debit card we got for moving where we're at now. Funny how they always show a ton of pictures of the lobby as if that's where you're going to be spending the majority of your time. I get that first impressions are important, but that's not what people are looking for when looking to move. Anyhow, I digress. Just hope we aren't moving in July because that will definitely muck-up the Party Favorz summer release schedule. I do plan on getting ahead of the curve for Gay Pride this year. For one, there's going to be a massive update to our earlier Gay Anthem and Pride Classics series and I may even release the annual Catch-Up series early this year. All of this isn't set in stone and needs to be thourougly vetted before I decide the right path forward but just know that this year's Gay Pride is going to be big and I mean...really BIG! Kinda like you size queens like it. Until the next time...ENJOY! Album: Spring Edition 2022  Genre: Circuit, Tribal, Progressive House Year: 2022 Total Time: 04:02:07 1.

Party Favorz has landed a new T-Dance Edition just in time for spring. This set offers a whole lot Sunday afternoon power tracks to compliment your cocktails. Lately, Dirty Disco has been on a tear with one solid remix after another and the Spring T-Dance Edition 2022 is chock-full of them. I had more Disco Gurls, Block & Crown and Ghostmasters but most of those tracks have been moved to either the next Disco House set or Thank God It's Disco series. This set begins with a low simmer but quickly sizzles to a low-boil before finally cooling down with two notable entries to close it out. We have the excellent Eric Kupper remix of Reba McEntire's 'Does He Love You' and a new Diana Ross track 'I Still Believe' with Purple Disco Machine at the helm. Reba sounds stronger than ever on this 2009 classic and while still excellent — Diana's voice is beginning to show strain. Both ladies are DIVAS in their own right and the fact that they're still making great music is a testament to their iconic status within their industries. I had started working on the next Disco House installment but to be honest, the music just isn't there...yet. It's generally the easiest series to whip-up but too many of the biggest songs just fell flat (IMHO). So, I've pushed that back to its original scheduled release for two weeks from now and will begin compiling the set list for the Spring Edition 2022 to be released (fingers crossed) next week. I just finished overcoming what seemed like insurmountable obstacles building my new workstation, I finally got it finished and managed to squeeze this set out in record time. I spent Friday pouring through new releases in Beatport, bootlegs on SoundCloud and Bandcamp, which may not sound like a lot of work but I assure you it is. It takes a better part of the day. From there, I tagged all the files and combed through them to see what was worth it and what was not. Saturday, I sat down and mixed it all up in one sitting then started the outline of the artwork for this release. I got up early this morning and finished the artwork and now I'm delivering our first Circuit & Anthems release of 2022! Overall, this set is much better than I anticipated. In fact, it's downright fantastic! Y'all should know that I don't shy away from patting myself on the back for a job well done. Other than the amount of work and money (this set cost upwards of $80 to put together) and time, what makes it work are the solid remixes and releases from a plethora of global artists and DJs who make up this set. Without the quality of their work, this would just be okay at best. Now that Party Favorz is up to speed, I've started working on the Trance Classics that I've been teasing out since last year. That will complete our trip through the 90's (even though there is spillover into the early millennium). From there, I'm exicted to announce an Electro House Classics series from the first 10 years of the millenium before launching into the House Classics of the early millennium. All of these are massive endeavors but all are party  of my bucket list that I've bound myself to in our final year. Until the next time...ENJOY! Holiday T-Dance 2021 | Puts Some Jingle in Your Jolly

SURPISE! Hot off the heels of yesterday's Holiday Edition 2021 — Party Favorz is dropping our year-end Holiday T-Dance set and man this is a whopper! We've been throwing tracks into this folder since our last T-Dance release in August hoping to build up enough to complete a new set by year's end. It wasn't looking good but we went back and pulled several tracks from the scrapped Block & Crown Legacy set we had planned, added several brand new Purple Disco Machine tracks (two of which appeared on the recent Catching Up with Purple Disco Machine release) and a whole slew of great vocal house along with classics from the 70's, 80's and 90's that have been re-worked for today's modern music scene plus some current Dance Club releases. The end result is the perfect culmination of fun afternoon party tracks for any crowd on any given Sunday any time of the year. If fun is what you're looking for — then look no further. We want to give a HUGE thank you to Joel Dickinson and Dirty Disco for fowarding Joel's upcoming release titled 'Heart of Stone' with the fabulous France Joli. The full release is currently available for pre-order on Beatport and other popular platforms and contains remixes by Wayne G & Porl Young, Luca Debonaire, Dirty Disco & Matt Consola, Elof De Neve, Twisted Dee & Diego Fernandez and Cajjmere Wray. There's a seperate release of the radio edits and a third release of the original. You can also stream the original version on Spotify. Frankly, every version is absolutely fantastic and Miss Joli has never sounded better. Check out the original below. [youtube v="PRFgfZKDoxI"] Even with everything going on, we're going to go ahead and try to get the Top Dance Songs of 2021 out these final two weeks before capping the year off with our annual New Year dance party set Blow Your Own Horn. It's a lot to take on in a short period of time but it's doable. So make sure your subscribe to Party Favorz to ensure you don't miss out on these highly anticipated releases. Holiday Edition 2021 — Beef Up with the Latest Circuit & Anthems

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 18, 2021

It's the most wonderful time of the year when Party Favorz rolls out our annual Holiday Edition featuring the latest circuit anthems and beefy Santa's adorn the cover. We've pulled out all the stops to ensure our humble subscribers are getting the latest and greatest in the circuit tribal house music landscape. Our only issue is that a few DJ's who'll go unamed are getting a bit sloppy by forcing the vocals onto premade instrumentals as opposed to creating the beats to fit the structure of the song. There are a few instances here and you'll know it when you hear it. A couple of these are by veterans who should know bettter but we'll just leave it at that. Otherwise, the set gets an A- for overall quality, song selection and flow. It looks like there will be a new T-Dance set dropping sometime this week, which is almost done. We have some computer upgrades and reconfigurations to make over the next couple of days so it's highly likely the Top Dance Songs of the Year will not drop until early January 2022. This is not unheard of around here but it hasn't happened in a very long time and is completely out of our hands. That being said, the annual Blow Your Own Horn is still scheduled to drop just in time for your New Year festivities. Until the next time...ENJOY! Fall Edition 2021 — Cool Down with the Season’s Hottest Circuit Anthems

Every once in a while, a set just comes together without effort and is so flawless that it makes you just want to scream HALLELUJAH! The Fall Edition 2021 is one such example. It appears that many top circuit DJs have been switching up their remixes and moving towards a more progressive big room sound not unlike several tracks you may have heard from the latest Ultimate 90's Classics [1998 - 1999] series. Hell, even Stewart Who? makes an appearance here. Is it anything new? No. Is it a refreshing change from the redundant big tribal beats that have permeated the scene for the past several years? A resounding YES! Granted, Dirty Disco has been at the forefront of the change for over a year now and it seems other DJs are just now following suit. Toy Armada has definitely dropped his big room uplifiting anthems in favor of a more progressive house style. There were three new works from him: one was with his longtime partner DJ Grind, another with Jace M (who he's worked with in the past) and a solo offering for Leanh. The last two are a good sampling of his mindset but the one with DJ Grind really missed the mark (and was subsequently dropped from this set). Party Favorz looks forward to where he's taking his music. Even Offer Nissim, who has always stood out from the pack with a very specific progressive sound often emulated by other big name Isralei DJs has switched things up by housing up his staple sound on his latest collaboration with Deborah Cox on the stellar "Summer of Love. Up and coming fellow Isralei DJ Michael Benayon really delivers on what is otherwise a mediocre song "Snow In the Sahara" by Bouvier & Barona featuring Akazi. The song itself sounds like a Eurovision cheesy euro-pop track that Dirty Disco and Wayne G capitalized on but we just weren't feeling it. Micahel Benyon flips the track with a deeper progressive groove that not only gives the song a deeper meaning but actual purpose. Speaking of Dirty Disco, the boys have updated the Celeda classic "The Underground" in a variety of flavors that is certain to light up dance floors across the globe. The original track was a former #1 Dance Club hit on Billboard, which was originally released on Peter Rauhofer's Star 69 label in the earlier part of the millennium. I fully expect you'll be hearing this tune in its various incarnations shortly — if you already aren't. We've got a stellar release schedule lined up for October with the annual HW21 dropping next week and it's lining up to be a surefire banger. Until then...ENJOY! Well, f∩ck me twice on Sunday! Party Favorz (i.e. me, myself, I) has been in a pissy mood all week trying to get this CDN and caching plugin configured to my liking and it's turned into an obsession of defeat. I don't know what that means but it seems to fit the situation. Since Last Splash was already in the bag and I had planned on taking a much-needed break afterwards — I decided to go ahead and drop this Labor Day weekend party set 7 days early. You'll notice a lot of Block & Crown remixes in this set as I've only recently gotten access to an entire catalog of their work through one of my DJ services. Many of these songs never see the light of day on Beatport or Traxsource but are DJ exclusives (likely because of licensing issues). There's not a lot known about this duo other than they appear to be filling the gap left behind by Almighty and 7th Heaven who have been staples in the gay dance arena for several decades. While their brand isn't strictly geared towards gay audiences as you'll notice their work ends up on our Dance Club, Disco House and Peak Hour series — they're remarkably agile and easily adapt to whatever they're working on. In the last couple of years, they started remixing other artist's tracks and have recently embarked on creating original songs for the ZYX Music label (another blast from the past that's still pumping out great dance music). Another notable duo that's more recently entered this arena are Nacho Chapado & Ivan Gomez whose Guareber Recordings produced earworms with big tribal circuit beats and have now expanded into power disco house tracks and mashups much like Block & Crown are doing with great success. It's not clear if their Disco Gurls and Ghostmasters monikers are indeed themselves or ghost DJs working under the Guareber Recordings label but they've definitely hit on something as there's lots of room and plenty of source material to sample and mashup from the 70's, 80's, 90's and the early millennium. Then of course there's the Party Favorz favorite Purple Disco Machine, whose remixes and remakes of historical dance classics and current pop and Indie songs brings everything into his own little disco universe has exploded on the dance scene making him one of the most sought after DJs right now. Throw all this together with brand new dance gems and cheesy remakes of 80's love songs and you got yourself the most EPIC T-Dance set I've put out to date. As mentioned earlier, I plan on taking a couple of weeks off from the podcast to recharge my batteries and hopefully get this g*ddamned caching plugin properly configured as well as the app for Party Favorz, which was all working great until it wasn't. The last one isn't on me but the underlying structure supporting it — mainly Microsoft. When I return, I plan on finishing off the Ultimate 90's House Classics series before launching the much delayed Ultimate Trance Classics series. Until the next time...ENJOY! After road-testing the latest T-Dance set for Pride, we thought we'd get ahead of the curve and do a late-week drop before the weekend. Pride T-Dance Edition 2021 is part of the Party Favorz re-entry into T-Dance, which was a staple in the early years of this podcast. This special Pride edition is chock-full of updated gay anthem classics as well as current House Music tracks that are perfect for Sunday afternoon reveling or frankly, anytime you want something a little less hard-hitting than our traditional circuit and anthems sets. Dropping this now will allow for the creation of Gay Anthems For a New Generation 2021 with a (hopeful) release by this upcoming Sunday but don't hold us to that. If we can clear the slate — it will buy us some time to start the Apple Music transfer that was discussed in the Pride Edition 2021 last week and is going to be a long tedious process. Additionally, we were informed that the issues surrounding our app had been resolved but they still persist. So, that's going to require additional testing, which in turn necessitates more free time. Ultimately, an earlier release of these sets allows folks already celebrating Pride before the official U.S. date and the international Pride Day a week later to get into the spirit as these events take place. This is another whopper of a set and we didn't hold back. There's more than enough here to fill up your little queer hearts. Until the next time...ENJOY! I want to give a special shoutout to Dirk S. ($50) and Michael H. ($100) for their unexpected yet very generous donations! You guys are much appreciated!!! It's been one hell of a year but we're finally beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel due to this long national nightmare. Party Favorz has been here through it all delivering the finest in club music to help you maintain a sense of normalcy. With most major artists holding back remixes and out of work DJs transitioning to fee for remixes — it's been tricky if not expensive delivering the goods month after month but somehow, we managed. In fact, Pride Edition 2021 is the most expensive set ever put together clocking in at over $150. We do it to support the DJs and the work they usually give away for free to support their live shows. Out of all these DJs there is one who deserves our biggest gratitude. That DJ is Brazil's Dario Xavier who has been a virtual remix factory of all the latest hits and gay anthems. Like India, Brazil has been one of the hardest hit countries by COVID-19 and the work he puts into his remixes that make up a healthy portion of this set is phenomenal. If you enjoy his remixes — please support his work at https://darioxavier1.bandcamp.com/ There you'll find everything in this set and a whole lot more. Climbing on my soapbox I want to call attention to what's going on in the United States at the state level. Many states like my home state of GA have passed Jim Crow style laws that are designed to suppress the vote. Not just the votes of Black and Brown people but young people (think college-age) and person's with disabilities. These groups typically vote democratic and these laws have been written in such a manner that they surgically carve out policies to make it more difficult for these groups to vote. While many people are up in arms about not being able to hand out food and water for voters waiting in long lines to exercise their Constitutional right (typically in areas that are heavily populated by — you guessed it — Black and Brown voters because Republicans in those states have shut down the majority of polling stations, there is so much more to these new laws that are going unnoticed. Issues like this are a red herring designed to distract from the true anti-democratic parts of these bills. Indeed, the one thing they all have in common is that they give the state legislatures or some appointed body by the legislature to remove the head of elections and in fact the entire election board in heavily democratic counties and appoint their own people giving them the right to overturn the will of the people in those counties for virtually any semblance of fraud, which has been proven in the last election to not only be rare but by the hands of Republicans. You literally can't make this shit up. By doing this, and the heavy Gerrymandering that's about to take place throughout these states after the last census, Republicans are all but assuring themselves total control of government at the state and federal level. In other words, minority rule. Instead of developing policies that appeal to a broad base of Americans, the only way for them to win is by rigging the system in their favor to maintain complete control of all levers of government. So what does this have to do with Gay Pride? Currently, these same states are targeting our brothers and sisters in the transgender community with laws that ban them from sports and/or public bathrooms of their choice. They've already enacted stringent "heartbeat" bills in hopes that the rigged SCOTUS will overturn Roe v. Wade, which could very well happen. Rest assured, they won't stop there and will be going after marriage equality, workplace discrimination and a whole host of other areas that directly effect our lives. Don't think it can't happen? It already is. There's a lot at stake for the future of the gay community and all I'm asking is that you stay vigilant to the laws that are being enacted in your state because they do directly effect you and the LGBTQ+ community as a whole. I beg you to call your Senators and demand they vo...

Party Favorz is back with our annual Spring Edition featuring the hottest circuit anthems for what is shaping up to be one HOT summer! While this set had been in the can for just over a week — I was battling issues from all directions playing whack a mole with every new issue that kept popping up. This kept me busy spending most of my days on the phone trying to straighten out other people's bullshit. I had decided to drop one song from the set and replace another with a different version and needed to temper another track that was pitched too high. This appears to be something that several DJs have been doing lately. That is, reducing the bass and pushing the mid and highs up while overcompressing the song. Since I test all my mixes out on Bluetooth headphones, home speaker system and in my car — this new mastering by certain DJs is shrill and hurts the living shit out of my ears. I don't know the purpose of this new technique but it's driving my batshit crazy. As I find them, I go back and temper the highs and add a gentle boost to the bass so it doesn't sound like it's being squeezed out of a tin can. This is where I ran into some problems on one such song.  The Jace M & Toy Armada remix of "We Are," which is an outstanding track by Dan Slater & Zoë Badwi. For some strange reason, the song wouldn't load in my editor. I've never had this problem before and kept getting the error message "the path to file is not specified" by Windows. I looked it up and went through all of the troubleshooting steps for this error (which is apparently common but new to me). I was getting help on the WindowsTen forum but nothing was working. Finally, I bit the bullet and performed a clean install of the operating system and the problem persisted. It was only then that I decided to load a different song only to find it worked. So, the issue was specific to this one song but why? After looking at the title — I changed the 'ë' in Zoe's name to just 'e' and presto! That was the issue. The editor couldn't read the special character, which makes no sense. Why? Because it would load 'Tiësto' that uses the same diaeresis but one loads and the other does not. I'm thinking that Tiësto may use a special character for input where Zoë is input using the language instructions from the keyboard, where my keyboard layout is in English. Maybe...I can't say for certain. Regardless, I wasted two entire days just on this issue alone. The fact that I'm expending so much energy telling y'all about it should allude to how pissed I was over this one problem. I couldn't just drop the song because it really is stellar. Not only that, it opened up the set. Grrr. The good news is that I've really delivered a circuit and anthem set that will blow the roof off any party. There's enough tribalism here to fuel your workouts or just outright party. So, without further ado, I bring you the Spring Edition 2021. ENJOY! It may still be a bit nippy outside but today is the first day of spring and I can't think of any better way to celebrate it than with a Tea Dance set. Lets face it, 2020 was a disaster and 2021 is only beginning to resemble a slight ounce of a return to normalcy. Then again, that all depends on where you live. If you're in a science denying state that values profit over lives — then nothing has really changed for you. Meanwhile, everyone else who follows the science, wears masks in public while social distancing and gets vaccinated as soon as it's available have been the people taking one for the team. I won't get bogged down into the specifics nor am I here to lecture but let's just say it ain't over no matter how badly you tell yourself otherwise (even after vaccination) but I digress. Our duty is to put you in a happy mood and get you ready for what ultimately awaits on the other side of this thing. I do want to mention that the opening song is not new, nor is it an updated version of the song. "If You Leave Me Now" by Veronica Sales (not the Chicago classic) just showed up while perusing JunoDownload for additional Disco House tracks to fill out the next set. It turns out, the song was recently made available to download services but is originally from 1992. That's about all I know of the song because it was never a hit in the states. Having never heard the song before and after previewing it – I knew I had to include it in this set. The song bleeds GAY from every vocal to every beat! If you've never heard it before, you're in for a campy treat. The rest of the set is either new tracks or reworked classics by some of our favorite DJs like Barry Harris, Dirty Disco, Block & Crown, Division 4 and Jet Boot Jack. It blends tracks from the 70s, 80s, 90s to current day and is a masterful work of happy dance music. If this doesn't put a smile on your face — nothing will. I've got a new Disco House as a companion piece to this set going up soon, our annual Spring Break set that's gonna be different than the standard commercial dance releases and hopefully (fingers crossed) a long overdue Diva Hall of Fame entry. In fact, the April and May calendar release schedule is all filled up. Technically, June as well because I had been fretting on what to do for Gay Pride month but I've got it all figured out. We have reached the third and final volume paying tribute to the master Ralphi Rosario and his legacy. He continues to remix massive hits to this day as in the recent "Rain On Me" by Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande as well as RITMO by Black Eye Peas — both of which were monster hits in the past year and featured on these releases. Rosario's catalog of productions and remixes are vast and diverse going all the way back to 1987 even though he's been perfecting his craft for much longer. His songs and remixes have significantly contributed to the soundtrack of millions of gay boys and girls that to not recognize his work would be a travesty. I hope everyone has enjoyed this tribute series and make sure to hit him up live once things open back up sooner rather than later. I have another master DJ on tap who is not only Ralphi's peer but his equal. I'll leave that as a tease for now and will start dropping those sometime this next week or so. After, we'll dive right back into our spring series of Circuit & Anthems, Dance Club, Disco House and Peak Hour to carry you folks through spring break. Until then...ENJOY! I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Nicholas C. $20, Glenn A. $10, Ludovic D. $20, Casper Y. $50, Joe S. $50, Anthony S. $100 and Paul S. $50 for their generous donations in helping us renew our web hosting services. We still need about a little less than half to meet our goal in the next 12 days so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Party Favorz finally made it through the Ralphi Rosario Legacy series, which I overestimated its depth and ended up expanding to three volumes. Even then, there were a lot of great tracks I was loathe to leave on the cutting room floor but when compiling these tribute sets to legends that have been in the business as long as Ralphi has — you have to edit. Volume 2 picks up where we left off with some of his greatest work from over the years including last year's massive "RITMO" by Black Eyed Peas & J Balvin. The hits are included and the one y'all are really looking for will make an appearance on volume 3 (you know what I'm talking about). The goal here is to not only showcase the hits but a lot of the underground and lesser known tracks that were popular in the underground peak hour scene. Nevermind that he and Rosabel have done extensive work with Latin artists providing musical touch that only they could master (next to Pablo Flores, Tony Moran and to some extent Hex Hector and Junior Vasquez) so I did touch on some of those tracks throughout these sets. Overall, there's a great deal of diversity spread throughout these three sets. For those only familiar with the more commercial side of Ralphi Rosario — you're in for a pleasant surprise. I'll be back on Saturday with the final volume. Until then...ENJOY! I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Nicholas C. $20, Glenn A. $10, Ludovic D. $20, Casper Y. $50, Joe S. $50 and Anthony S. $100 for their generous donations in helping us renew our web hosting services. Ralphi Rosario is an American house musician an founding member of the influential Chicago DJ group Hot Mix 5. The group was formed in 1981 while Ralphi was still in high school at the time the group became one of the major early forces of the burgeoning House Music scene in Chicago. By 1987, he collaborated with Xaviera Gold for "You Used To Hold Me," which has gone on to be one of the most influential early House Music tracks of all-time for what later was a revolution on the dancefloor. While Ralphi continued to put out early House Music releases throughout the nineties — his style rapidly changed when he teamed with Miami's DJ Abel (Aguilera) to form Rosabel a hybrid version of his last name and Abel's first name for a new more tribal house sound that he continued to perfect through today. Later the duo would introduce more Latin influences in their work while producing muscular House Music tracks for major artists that showcased their heritage and alternate musical influences. As a duo they have racked up five #1 Billboard Dance Club hits and Rosario has racked up fourteen Top Ten Dance Club Hits and two #1 hits. This does not include the hundreds of #1 hits for remixes of other artists including, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Chaka Khan, Cher, Crystal Waters, Cyndi Lauper, Donna Summer, Erika Jayne, Gloria Estefan, Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Rowland, Kristine W, Kylie, Mariah Carey, ONO, Rihanna, Jennifer Holliday, Pussycat Dolls, Selena Gomez, Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and countless others. The list is exhausting but 90% or more are all included in the Party Favorz Diva Hall of Fame. With over 60 hours of tracks (which doesn't even come close to his breathtaking catalog) to choose from — I had numerous ways to approach these two sets honoring the master. I finally settled on hitting on the gayest tracks with the biggest divas and spread it out between the nineties and millennium with some rare tracks and some underground sounds that were predominantly only heard in queer clubs. Once I put out the volume 2 — all told there will be approximately 8+ hours of classics for your enjoyment. These sets are note intended to showcase his entire career but they are a good start. It took me awhile to wrap my head around this but I believe I've done a damn good job at representing some of his finest work whether solo or collaborative. It is my distinguished honor to induct one of the most prolific and influential House Music DJ/Producers of the last 40 years, Ralphi Rosario into the Party Favorz Legacy series. I want to give a BIG shoutout to Glenn A. and Joe S. for their generous donations. Joe and Glenn sent me a nice email about their experiences seeing Sylvester in concert. I like those stories so always feel free to share. Let's hold off on any other donations because I'm going to be asking for them shortly to cover hosting costs that expire at the end of March. More on that later.  Album: Winter Edition 2021  Genre: Circuit, Tribal, House Year: 2021 Total Time: 02:53:00 1. Spice Girls - Viva Forever (Rafael Barreto 2k21 Intro) 2. Ranny feat. You may ask yourself what the difference is between the two so I'm here to set you straight (no pun intended). Tea Dance used to begin as a brunch party with mimosas and later evolved into a late afternoon Sunday party that went on into the early evening so gay men could get their disco on and still be in bed early enough for work the next morning. Over the years, the tradition had pretty much faded but is still in place in various metropolitan areas around the country. In fact, you'll see Barry Harris frequently playing at many of these events and Houston's Dirty Disco (who own their own club) has also maintained the tradition. The past few years have brought out more vocal disco house tracks typically associated with these weekly events as opposed to the big room tribal house you normally expect. Because music has evolved, you can still throw in some modern future house tracks that have a younger gay appeal and still keep your audience. A good example from this set is the AWESOME Matt Consola, Aaron Altemose and Brenda Reed collaboration on "Every Moment." Every thing about this track screams GAY. For this set I closed it out with the house-friendly remix by Larry Peace but the Russ Rich and Andy Allder club mix is equally fantastic as a future house track that maintains all the uplifting elements that make this song so fabulous. Peyton's fantastic "Things Can Only Get Better" is another fine example of this balance as well though I went with the Eric Kupper remix since that's who jumpstarted Peyton's career. It had been my intention since last year to resurrect this series but I hadn't gotten around to it until now. Since I hadn't been doing my duty of setting aside the tracks that showed up in DJ services, I had to go by memory and pulled some tracks from the past two years that I may have mixed in with my Circuit & Anthems series because at the time — I had no place to put them and ended up leaving a lot a great songs on the cutting room floor. In this first edition, you will find current songs, updated 70's, 80's, and 90's classics, new songs that sample familiar beats from previous eras and lots and lots of DIVAS. At the moment, the hot song on everyone's radar "Finally" by Shapeshifters and Billy Porter is the only crossover track that will show up on the forthcoming Disco House set to be released in a couple of weeks. Otherwise, the Tea Dance Edition will focus on more gay-friendly vocal house with elements of disco. I had raved about the output from Nacho Chapado and Ivan ...

Otherwise, the Tea Dance Edition will focus on more gay-friendly vocal house with elements of disco. [youtube v="jUBS6YnPraY"] I had raved about the output from Nacho Chapado and Ivan Gomez in my last post and there's another area these guys have been targeting with their Disco Gurls moniker, which are club-friendly samples of classic tracks or reimaginations from whole cloth for today's dancefloors. They've taken a very similar track that Almighty has done with their own hi energy remixes and are hitting it out of the ballpark. Only because Party Favorz understands our audience that I'm confident this set is gonna be massively popular and you can look forward to future releases under this sub-genre. While it can appeal to anyone who enjoys Disco House, it's targeted predominantly at gay men so I'll keep it listed under the Circuit & Anthems genre possibly creating a subgenre for y'all so everything is collected in one easy to locate spot. In the interim, Party Favorz isn't finished delivering the December party sets. In fact, there are a ton of goodies and stocking stuffers Santa has lined up for the remaining 20 days of Christmas. Until the next time...ENJOY! Anyone interested in a brief history of the Tea Dance —  "The Very Gay and Interesting History of the Almost Lost Tradition of the Sunday Tea Dance" is an excellent read. This set is packed from top to bottom with the latest circuit tribal house including "Prisoner" by Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa, "Kings & Queens" by Ava Max (a personal favorite that's taken the better part of the year to gain traction), the brand new disco Kylie track "Magic" (not to be confused with the Olivia Newton John classic) that's been given the circuit treatment by Toy Armada, Jason Derulo's "Take You Dancing," Ariana Grande's not so subtle "34 + 35," and Gabby Barrett's "I Hope." We've also got monster classic remakes of "Sweet Dreams" by La Bouche, "Mad World" (the Tears for Fears classic) by Tweaka Turner, a Miley Cyrus and Stevie Nicks mashup of "Midnight" and "Edge of Seventeen," Shania Twain's epic "From This Moment," Khia's early millennium naughty track "My Neck, My Back," and the Laid Back funk classic "White Horse," which had already been reworked by Nacho Capado and Ivan Gomez awhile back but why not. Speaking of which, I want to give a massive heads up to Nacho and Ivan who have been churning out some serious floor scorchers on their own imprint Guareber Recordings. Whether you're looking for big room tribal house or tea party disco house tracks — their label is churning out some of the finest! Equally, I want to give a shoutout out to Jose Spinnin Cortes who's been around at least as long as Party Favorz has. His work has grown exponentially and he's laying down some earth moving originals that are making a huge imprint on my senses. Whether in English or Spanish, this guy is at the top of his game. Santa has a ton of stocking stuffers lined-up for December so be sure to pay close attention to this site because we're only getting started. Party Favorz will be back on Saturday with a companion piece to this set the likes of which hasn't been done in 10 years so be sure to stay tuned. Until then...ENJOY!
