It was 7:32 PM on August 10th, 2018 when security warnings notified all employees at the Seattle-Tacoma airport to immediately halt activity until further instruction. At first, nobody knew that a Bombardier Q400 plane had just executed an unauthorized take off from the runway but soon, locals would notice the 76-passenger aircraft flying unusually low to the ground. Behind the yoke was 28-year-old Richard Russell, a Horizon Air service agent. After repeated attempts, air traffic control was able to reach him, and what followed would be a conversation that so many would never forget. Listen to the full episode on PATREON

Jersey Day boys and girls! 6pm EST tonight the 12th March, the 2025 Reggies Jersey will be for sale. Head to thereggies.com.au to get amongst the action. We had to mention India winning the Champions Trophy unfortunately, huge asterisk next to it though let's be honest. Onto the footy and we try to focus on some of the bigger news like the Dylan Brown signing, Payne Haas and the Broncos, Manly and Melbourne to name a few. We wrap up the Opening Round of the AFL, massive win for Hawthorn up in Sydney and we had to talk about the magpies and particularly whether or not they are under done. Heaps of UFC wrap up and a big look ahead to some futures in the boxing world including tonight's No Limit card involving Brock Jarvis. You would not believe it but Tom Dahl is heading the Formula 1 this weekend in Melbourne, already excited for next week's sports show to get his take on it all. Players' Championship weekend at TPC Sawgrass in the golf, it's all happening and we love it! See ya at the jersey drop! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

We hope everyone hangs in there in the south east corner of QLD this weekend, big Alf is on his way so quick! Get out and buy 650 rolls of shit paper NOW! Vegas weekend is over for another year and we think it will only keep getting better and better, big props to the Jillaroo's. Yes, the poms absolutely have some work to do but can't take anything away from the girls. Penrith and Cronulla showcased the game perfectly in the blockbuster clash, and we are pretty sure Canberra won the comp after their celebrations post match. You would think there must have be some rescheduling in the AFL opening round with games set to be played in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Looking forward to a cracking game of Friday Night Footy with the Swans and Hawks at the SCG. Great effort on the No Limit card from Vegas Larfield and Liam Wilson. Fair bit of heat in the Wilson fight but good to see the boys shake hands and sort it out post fight. Ya wouldn't believe it but there was a bit of controversy in a big boxing bout between Tank Davis and Lamont Roach, wouldn't be a big fight without it. Everyone will be gee'd up for Alex Pereira this weekend at UFC 313, very interesting to see what his opponents game plan will be! Chucky Sanders very stiff not to get captain of the week again after his effort in the Dubai Desert Classic, but this show is ruthless. Look forward to seeing yas Friday morning for the punt show, all the best! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

'That's my goal here is to hopefully provide an inspirational story that can be a catalyst for the reader to go out and do amazing things.' Per Wimmer has spent his life soaring to new heights, metaphorically in global finance and quite literally as an astronaut. It's a fascinating mix, but the two spheres have more in common than you might think. When you've lived a life so full of variety and adventure, it's a double bind: this is exactly the kind of life worth writing about, and yet how do you choose what to include, and how do you link it all together? We talk about the challenge of making sense of one's own life in order to create sense for others. And how do you give people a reason to read, beyond the mere act of goggling? Per's solution: catalyse inspiration and action in everyone. Winning Business Journey Book of the Year at the Business Book Awards 2024 meant everything to him, as it was a sign he'd achieved just that. (He's not one for being constrained by limits, and he's not done yet; this is just Volume One.)

Following their launch in 1991 with debut single "Get Ready For This", Eurodance duo 2 Unlimited enjoyed a string of more than a dozen hits around the world. What does that have to do with Stock Aitken Waterman? Well, in the UK, the act fronted by Ray Slijngaard and Anita Doth was signed to PWL Records at a time when the Hit Factory's in-house productions were often struggling on the charts. Techno tracks like "Twilight Zone", "Maximum Overdrive", "Let The Beat Control Your Body", "The Real Thing", "Tribal Dance" and chart-topper "No Limit" were the sound of the future, while, as we've seen, more traditional pop/dance tunes were having a tough time of it. In this bonus episode, we explore the success PWL enjoyed with 2 Unlimited and what it meant for the working relationship between Pete Waterman and Mike Stock. Ray joins us to share his perspective on the rise of 2 Unlimited and the approach PWL took with the duo's tracks in the UK, initially using instrumental versions rather than ones with Ray's raps on them. He also discusses his personal and professional relationships with Anita and producers Jean-Paul de Coster and Phil Wilde, and the current status of 2 Unlimited.Support the Show.Subscribe for bonus material at chartbeats.com.au/sawTwitter: @ChartBeatsAU, @MrMattDenbyInstagram: @chartbeatsauFacebook: Chart Beats: A Journey Through PopEmail: chartbeats.au@gmail.com
