This was not a chill period in dance music—it was a full-throttle takeover. These weren't just tracks you heard in the club; they were the soundtracks to pre-games, afterparties, breakups, hookups, and everything in between. By this point, Electro House had become the default language of clubland. It didn't matter if the artist was an underground favorite or a Disney Channel graduate—everyone wanted in on the energy. And with remixers like Dave Audé, Mike Rizzo, Jody den Broeder, and Jump Smokers consistently delivering top-shelf work, the line between pop and club music completely vanished. Remix Culture Was King Let's be real—some of these tracks hit harder in their remixed versions than the originals ever could. Usher's “DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love” was already slick, but Jump Smokers cranked it up with a glammed-up club version that dominated summer playlists. Christina Aguilera's “Not Myself Tonight” might've been polarizing on radio, but Jody den Broeder turned it into a pulsing floor-filler with an edge. Black Eyed Peas continued their chart domination with “Imma Be” and “Meet Me Halfway,” both of which got remixed within an inch of their lives—one dirty, one dreamy, and both undeniable. And let's talk about Lady Gaga, who basically lived on the dance charts during this period. You'll find three of her biggest tracks here—“Bad Romance,” “Paparazzi,” and “Love Game”—all reworked by Dave Audé into high-energy triumphs that left no corner of the dancefloor untouched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kszwg8u9--w The Rise of Selena Gomez One of the most fascinating shifts during this period was the arrival of Selena Gomez—best known at the time as a squeaky-clean Disney princess. But her early releases with The Scene were smart, polished pop that lent themselves surprisingly well to club remixes. “Round & Round” and “A Year Without Rain” became club favorites thanks to 7th Heaven and Dave Audé, respectively, who transformed them into soaring dance tracks without stripping away her youthful charm. Selena's transition from Disney darling to legitimate pop artist began here, and the clubs were ready to embrace her. Ke$ha's Party Nation Also bursting into the scene like a glitter bomb was Ke$ha, whose breakout hit “TiK ToK” became a global party anthem. Fred Falke's remix gave it just enough disco-drenched sophistication while keeping its messy, rebellious spirit intact. Ke$ha's arrival signaled a new wave of club pop—raucous, unfiltered,

This installment zeroes in on 2009–2010—two powerhouse years that marked a massive turning point for electronic dance music and the global club scene. By this point, the shimmering dominance of the big room anthems helmed by remix legends like Thunderpuss, Hex Hector, and Victor Calderone had begun to fade. Their reign throughout the late '90s and early 2000s had set the standard for peak-hour energy, but by 2009, a new breed of producers began rewriting the rulebook. The Electro House Revolution This was the moment when Electro House officially took center stage. David Guetta broke into the U.S. mainstream and never looked back, while the Swedish House Mafia began building their empire brick by brick. Artists like Bimbo Jones, Jody den Broeder, Wideboys, Jump Smokers, Mike Rizzo, and Wawa steadily made names for themselves by turning pop into gold—remixing everything from the obvious club fodder to unexpected chart-toppers. Their influence was unmistakable. If their names were attached to a remix, you knew you were in for something massive. What made this shift so monumental is that the remixers became just as famous—if not more so—than the original artists. Guetta and Swedish House Mafia didn't just fill clubs; they packed stadiums and headlined the very festivals that were just beginning to explode in North America. Electronic music wasn't just for the underground anymore—it was pop. Commercial Kings of the Club Charts Yet, while Guetta and SHM were scaling the highest heights, others carved out their own niche—less flashy but no less effective. Remix powerhouses like Cahill, Moto Blanco, and Dave Audé were hitting hard and consistently. Their mixes dominated Billboard's Dance Club charts and brought just the right balance of commercial accessibility and dancefloor credibility. Moto Blanco leaned heavily into Disco House—reinventing the genre with crisp, soulful vocals over chugging basslines and glittery synths. Meanwhile, Cahill and Dave Audé turned pop tracks into pure club fuel, often elevating songs far beyond their original versions. These guys weren't interested in the spotlight—they were all about the sound. And club DJs and promoters knew: if you needed a floor-filler, you grabbed a remix from one of them. Pop Royalty Ascends This stretch also marked a major shift in pop culture, with a new generation of women dominating both the charts and the dancefloor. Rihanna was rising like a phoenix,

Since the original induction, Adele has released her fourth album 30, which spent 30 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Billboard album charts and produced her fourth #1 song on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. In support of the album, Adele announced a Las Vegas residency titled Weekends With Adele that was to run through January to March of 2022. That residency was postponed due to COVID and started later in November of that year. The residency was expanded multiple times for a whoppping 68 dates in total. Since the end of her residency at Casear's Palace in June of 2024, and in July of that same year, Adele revealed that she would be taking an "indefinite" break from music with "no new plans for a album" in the near future. Party Favorz had planned an update to her original induction in 2021, but it was delayed multiple times due to competing projects. It's now finally read to be shared with the rest of our followers. Adele 2025 features a slew of new dance remixes her biggest hits including songs from her last release 30 as well as several other charted songs that did not appear on her albums. It is with great admiration and adorance that Party Favorz reinducts Adele to our most prestigious of honors, The Diva Hall of Fame.    Album : Adele 2025 – The Diva Series     Genre : House Music   Year : 2025   Total Time : 1:54:23 When We Were Young (Disco Tech Vocal) Hello (Cosmic Dawn Club Mix) Rolling In The Deep (Lenny B Club Mix) Oh My God (MERAKI Remix) Water Under The Bridge (Workout Mix) Turning Tables (Xeva Bootleg) Easy On Me (Kue Extended Remix) Set Fire To The Rain (Thomas Gold Remix) Hometown Glory (Axwell Club Mix) Skyfall (Cosmic Dawn & Andy Reese Remix) I Drink Wine (Alexander Main House Mix) Rolling In The Deep (Downtown London Extended Mix) When We Were Young (DJ Strobe Extended Vocal) One And Only (DJ Ree-Jay Remake) Rumour Has It (The Scene Kings Remix) Remedy (The Pengwin & DJ EU Remix) Cold Shoulder (Out of Office Remix) Send My Love (To Your New Lover) (Ranny's Peak Hour Mix) All I Ask (Lord N' Remix) Someone Like You (eSQUIRE vs. OFFBeat Remix) Set Fire To The Rain (Regard VIP Remix) Make You Feel My Love (Dance Version) Chasing Pavements (Ultimix Remix)

This brings us up to speed just in time for the Spring Edition 2025. I'll be honest—new releases have been on the lighter side lately. So, to balance the energy, I pulled in a few standout tracks from past editions to round out this set and give it some extra weight. Still Plenty of New Music to Keep the Floor Moving That doesn't mean there's a shortage of fire. This edition features fresh tracks and fierce remixes from some of the biggest names in pop and dance. Expect new heat from The Weeknd, Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Lopez, Tate McRae, Lola Young, and the ever-iconic Lady Gaga. One of the standout moments comes courtesy of a killer remix of Beautiful People, the latest collaboration between David Guetta and Sia. These two have a proven track record of club-ready bangers, and this one doesn't disappoint. Taking a Beat: Upcoming Diva Hall of Fame Entry Next week, I'm planning to take a short break while working on something a bit special—a Diva Hall of Fame reboot for Adele. With the sheer volume of newer remixes that span her entire catalog, it felt like the right time to refresh her entry. Since she's wrapped up her Las Vegas residency and likely won't be dropping new material for a while, this gives us a solid stopping point to reflect on her evolution as both a vocalist and a dancefloor muse. I also had Celine Dion in my sights for a reboot, but that's temporarily on hold. I'm hoping to get Dirty Disco to remix one of her biggest hits—a track that, shockingly, never received an official remix. If he takes it on, that'll give me the green light to move forward. Recovery Update: The Not-So-Glamorous Reality I want to take a moment to thank everyone for your kind messages and support during my recovery. That said, it's not going as smoothly—or as quickly—as I had hoped. The painkillers I've been prescribed are fine for regular pain, but when it comes to the debridement process (scraping off dead skin, aka those blackened areas from the wound), they're totally useless. They've managed to remove a good chunk already, but it's slow as hell. Frankly, this should've been done when I was in the hospital for six days under anesthesia. Instead, I'm stuck dealing with this now, awake, and under a double dose of pain meds that barely touch the surface. It still hurts like a motherfucker. What really worries me is that this is the longest I've ever been on opioids. Dependency is starting to feel way too real. I'm currently trying to find a doctor—though I don't even know what kind—who can remove the remaining dead ...

We're kicking off the weekend with a double header, so I'll keep this short and sweet. I've been working nonstop to get these sets out the door because I'll be taking next week off to deal with some medical issues that have been dragging on for far too long. To be blunt—things haven't been going well on that front. The doctors seem intent on turning me into a painkiller junkie by stretching out this excruciating debridement process. What I really need is a surgeon to remove all the dead skin in one go, under anesthesia. This current approach just isn't sustainable. Honestly, it should have been handled during my six-day hospital stay. But in typical U.S. healthcare fashion, the system is more focused on milking as much money from my insurance as possible—even if it comes at the expense of my well-being. This edition focuses squarely on the biggest dance and club hits from 2007 to 2008—an era that bridged the raw energy of Electro House with the tail end of the millennium's peak clubbing scene. If you were anywhere near a dancefloor during this time, chances are you'll recognize most—if not all—of the tracks included here. Each one dominated the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart and captured the diverse pulse of the scene. From euphoric anthems to deep, soulful grooves, this was a period where musical experimentation met mainstream success. A Deep Cut That Still Resonates One of the undeniable standouts in this set is The Cure & The Cause by Fish Go Deep featuring Tracey K. While the original release had multiple remixes, it was DJ Meme's version that truly left its mark. Known for channeling the Salsoul era with real string sections and deep, disco-rooted energy, Meme's remix paid tribute to the late ‘70s underground—offering something completely unique in a sea of Electro House and Big Room soundscapes. Its lush arrangement made it a refreshing outlier, a reminder of the artistry that once dominated dance floors way back in the day. Extended Mixes That Kept Us Moving Another thing that sets this era apart? The length of these tracks. Seriously—they were long. We're talking 8 to 10-minute versions that DJs could ride for ages, keeping the energy high and the transitions smooth. The early Electro House movement embraced this approach, making sure partygoers stayed glued to the dancefloor for extended stretches. While we aimed to preserve the integrity of the originals, we also made a few light edits for the sake of flow. For example, The Cure & The Cause originally clocked in at a full 10 minutes. A more accessible 6+ minute edit was released later, and that's the version featured in this volume. How Streaming Changed the Club Mix As streaming platforms took off in the late 2000s, track lengths shrank. The push for more plays led to songs being chopped down to under three minutes—great for radio-style streaming, but awful for club DJs. This unfortunate trend carried over to remix culture. While we've bounced back a bit, with the average remix now hovering around five minutes, it's still not quite where it used to be. The reality is, shorter edits limit a DJ's flexibility. When you're forced to use effects or create unnatural transitions just to make a mix work, it can pull the listener out of the experience. Ideally, we'd find a sweet spot around seven minutes—long enough to build momentum,

These were the years that saw dance music shifting dramatically, with the big room circuit style starting to cool off just as Electro House began rising from the underground and taking over mainstream dance floors. But the evolution wasn't one-dimensional. This era ushered in a diverse set of trends that helped shape the sound of modern dance. It was the rise of remix royalty like Freemasons, Moto Blanco, and Cahill. Each brought their own distinct flair to the genre. Freemasons blended traditional House with Electro influences, Moto Blanco leaned deep into shimmering Disco House, and Cahill straddled both worlds with a clean, pop-forward edge. Their remixes were everywhere—especially for big-name artists. Back then, the bigger the artist, the more labels were willing to shell out for high-profile remixers. That is, until budgets began shrinking and labels stopped cutting those massive checks. Fast-forward 15 years, and platforms like SoundCloud changed the game again. Suddenly, bootleg remixes became marketing tools, not just club exclusives. DJs had to hustle to make a name for themselves—often remixing tracks for free in the hopes of being discovered or landing a record deal. A Remix Renaissance During this same stretch, a powerhouse of remixers emerged and defined the dancefloor. Bimbo Jones, Seamus Haji, Soul Seekerz, Wideboys, Dave Audé, Jody den Broeder, and a revitalized StoneBridge (whose roots go back to the '90s) were dropping fire left and right. Meanwhile, some of the biggest names from the big room era still held their ground. Chris Cox (post-Thunderpuss), Ralphi Rosario, Tony Moran, Johnny Vicious, and DJ Escape kept delivering heavy, floor-shaking anthems that balanced out the sleeker, more polished productions coming from the Electro and Disco House scenes. This blend of sounds made for one of the most diverse periods in dance music—something we haven't quite seen repeated since. A Pop Diva Takeover The pop landscape at the time wasn't sitting quietly either. Britney Spears was staging a massive comeback, Beyoncé and Rihanna were dominating charts globally, and Robyn was redefining what electro-pop could be. Their tracks became essential remix material and ruled dance floors from coast to coast. We've packed both volumes of this series with heavy doses of these queens because, frankly, they owned this era. Now, if you're looking for a broader reflection of each year's biggest dance anthems,

These year-end lists are always a challenge to create because, as you work your way through, everything either clicks perfectly or it doesn't. In this case, most of it did—though not without some hiccups. Making the Mix Work To make this final set cohesive, I swapped out a couple of remixes for their original versions and dropped one song entirely. Why? Because I didn't like it when it was released and still don't. It just didn't work in the mix. Don't worry—you won't miss it. Trust me on this. Overall, I think I've put together an excellent representation of the best dance club songs of 2024. You'd be hard-pressed to find a list this comprehensive anywhere else. Ranking Process? Not This Time I know I promised to discuss my process for ranking these songs, but honestly, I don't have it in me right now. I've been in extreme pain all week from an infection on my shin, and the antibiotics the doctor prescribed aren't working. With the 5-day treatment almost over, I'll likely need to head to urgent care tomorrow if there's no improvement. No Blow Your Own Horn This Year On top of that, I've spent so much time and energy pulling together these year-end sets that there simply isn't enough bandwidth left for our annual Blow Your Own Horn series. I know many of you look forward to that tradition—where we bid one final “fuck off” to the year while welcoming the New Year with a bang. Its high-energy nature makes it a fan favorite, but I just can't make it happen this time. The Future of Party Favorz I've also been wrestling with mixed feelings about continuing Party Favorz into another year. Right now, I'm leaning toward keeping it alive—especially since we're expecting new music from Lady Gaga, Cher, and Madonna. And if Rihanna drops something? That would be EPIC. If I do move forward, big changes are inevitable. The last two years saw a significant drop in donations, which didn't even scratch the surface of my monthly expenses. If the podcast continues, it will have to rely on a Patreon model. I haven't ironed out the details yet, but I've got some ideas brewing. A New Chapter for the Website Another looming expense is a new website theme. The theme I've used for the past 15 years has been a workhorse, but it's no longer supported by WordPress and throws up quirky issues every time WordPress updates. A new theme will run me about $300 and require a complete redesign. While I've taught myself a fair bit of coding over the years, I'm no expert. Thankfully,

This volume features the tracks that defined dance floors worldwide, solidifying 2024 as an exceptional year for club music. A Year of Genre Diversity One of the standout elements of 2024's dance music scene has been its diversity. While massive EDM anthems reminiscent of the late 2000s and early 2010s still resonate with partygoers, genres like Tech House, Future House, Bass House, Nu Disco, Melodic House, Drum and Bass, and Afro House have firmly staked their claim. While Afro House and Tech House may be nearing their saturation point in some circles, their influence remains strong. Although these genres may not fully penetrate mainstream clubs, they continue to offer breakout hits that leave a lasting impression on dance music enthusiasts. The Rise of Hyper-Infused Beats Since 2023, a fascinating trend in house music has emerged—high-energy tracks with tempos ranging from 138 to 150 BPM. Volume II of the Top Dance Club Songs of 2024 compiles some of the best examples of this trend, including tracks like: "I Like the Way You Kiss Me" by Artemis "(When I'm With You) Free" by Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding "Thank You (Not So Bad)" by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike "Pedro" by Raffaella Carrà, Agatino Romero, and Jaxomy These tracks span genres such as House, Techno, Trance, and Hard Dance, but all share the same blazing-fast BPM, making them seamlessly transitionable in any mix. This infusion of hyper-charged beats adds to the eclectic energy of this year's club scene. The Rich Tapestry of Dance Music Dance music in 2024 is nothing short of a vibrant tapestry, woven from mainstream hits and underground gems. While this series captures the year's biggest anthems, it's important to recognize the unsung heroes—the alternative club tracks heard in smaller venues or accidentally tripped on through Spotify and Apple Music's algorithmic recommendations. For those eager to explore even deeper, the critic's picks from platforms like Beatport and other reputable online dance music magazines offer a treasure trove of electronic masterpieces that might not make it to mainstream playlists but are just as compelling. Behind the Scenes of Party Favorz The journey to create this year-end series has been a labor of love. The curation process alone took over two weeks, involving meticulous selection, followed by rounds of editing and remixing. It's always a challenge to balance personal favorites with tracks that have widespread appeal, but our goal is to reflect the collective pulse of dance f...

This annual wrap-up celebrates the biggest songs in dance and club music across all genres, showcasing the tracks that defined the dance floor in 2024. Among the highlights, the newest trend to capture the scene—Afro House—has sparked discussion. However, let's set the record straight: Afro House is neither new nor always true to its roots. While one standout track in this year's lineup genuinely fits the genre, much of what is labeled Afro House has been stripped of its African origins, replaced with slowed-down beats (120 BPM) and polished for mainstream appeal. This critique isn't about quality—many of these tracks are excellent—but longtime House aficionados will recognize the percussive elements as familiar territory. Like Nu Disco before it, Afro House is having its moment. Yet with so many producers relying on the same loops and software, the genre risks burnout before it can truly solidify. Credit is due to Rivo, whose rework of Disclosure's “You and Me” ignited the trend earlier this year. This stellar remix skyrocketed to become one of the biggest electronic tracks of 2024. John Summit: A Living Legend John Summit continued his meteoric rise this year with the much-hyped “Shiver.” The track showcases his ability to explore new genres while maintaining his signature dark, ethereal, and moody style. At this point, Summit is reaching Avicii-level stardom, but his continued output of bangers suggests he's handling the pressure with grace. Here's hoping he finds the balance between delivering hits and taking time for himself. PAWSA: From Underground to Mainstream One of the year's most unexpected breakthroughs was the massive success of PAWSA. Though the London-based DJ has been active since 2014, 2024 was his breakout year. With “Too Cool to Be Careless” and “That Phone Track” dominating the Beatport Top 100 for months, PAWSA's stripped-down House style became a dancefloor staple. Closing the year with a rework of Adventures of Stevie V's 1990 classic “Dirty Cash,” he solidified his position at the forefront of modern House music. Viral Revival: Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Mason vs. Princess Superstar Two early-2000s tracks found new life in 2024 thanks to their inclusion in the streaming hit Saltburn. Sophie Ellis-Bextor's “Murder on the Dance Floor” and Mason vs. Princess Superstar's “Perfect (Exceeder)” went viral on TikTok, sparking interest from a new generation of fans. Ellis-Bextor's 2001 hit and the 2007 mashup both surged in popularity, proving the timelessness of their dance-floor appeal. Pop Meets Dance: Sabrina Carpenter's Moment

This year, I made it a point to weave in some Tea Dance-style tracks to break up the monotony of the tribal-heavy set. Let's be honest, a lot of what's been coming out in this space lately is straight-up uninspired — poor mastering, weak vocals, and a glaring lack of creativity compared to the pioneers of the genre. It's like everyone's copy-pasting the same blueprint, trying to force a square peg into a round hole. If you're going to sell your work on Bandcamp for $5 to $6 a pop, step up your game. Stop churning out the same recycled formula. That said, I've been leaning more toward Henriq Moraes, who, at the very least, brings solid production values and avoids that annoying high-pitched sound you hear too often these days. His remixes are fresh, varied, and don't feel like the same song on repeat. There are a few other producers I keep my eye on, but they're not as prolific. Even so, Henriq isn't pumping out new tracks every week, which is how it should be if you want quality. Mor Avrahami continues to bring the heat with his remixes, as does Dirty Disco. These guys know how to keep it fresh and exciting. But let's not forget the legends still out there touring, remixing, and schooling the next generation. I'm talking about the likes of Danny Verde, Cajjmere Wray, Nick Harvey, and other masters of the craft. Their experience shows in the style, hooks, and embellishments they add to their remixes. These touches are what separate a "meh" track from one that slays. Standout Moments & Must-Listen Tracks Speaking of Danny Verde and Tom Stephan — these two veteran producers joined forces to reimagine Lady Gaga's "Disease," and the result is nothing short of masterful. While there's no shortage of mediocre (and outright bad) remixes of this track, their darker, moodier approach cuts through the noise. The remix leans into a shadowy, underground vibe, amplifying the song's raw intensity. The undeniable hook pulls you in from the jump and refuses to let go, making their version a clear standout in a sea of forgettable attempts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKE3sIOHH60 On a related note, Nick Harvey recently dropped an entire EP of remixes for "Stand Up" by Suzanne Palmer. This one caught me off guard — not only for the quality but for the names attached. Two standouts are the mixes from Cajjmere Wray and the elusive Eddie Baez. Yes, that Eddie Baez. I didn't even know he was still active in the scene! Both versions are stellar, but I had to roll with Eddie's for nostalgia's sake.

The process of curating this final entry in the series has been anything but smooth—starting and stopping more times than I'd like to admit. Normally, I prefer to have everything in place and finish a set in one go, but the lack of standout releases made this a real challenge. That's not to say there aren't any gems in this mix. Quite the opposite—through persistence and digging deep across DJ services, Beatport, and even Spotify, I uncovered tracks that truly move me. And if they move me, I know they'll bring my followers to the dancefloor. Party Favorz doesn't stop until the job is done. This set features several updated throwbacks, many of which are making waves on DJ charts, while others may have flown under the radar—until now. As always, Party Favorz is here to bring the best to light. Highlights include: Diplo's rework of Gala's '90s Eurodance anthem "Freed From Desire." David Timothy's fresh take on Billie Ray Martin's "Your Loving Arms." Tommy MC's reimagining of Jody Watley's '80s classic "Don't You Want Me." Stuart Ojelay's heavenly spin on Danny Tenaglia's "Music Is the Answer." Stone Van Brooken's faithful update of Faithless' "Insomnia." Block & Crown's transformation of The Fugees' "Ready or Not" into a House anthem. TLC's celebratory House remix of their hit "Creep" for CrazySexyCool's 30th anniversary. Cosmic Dawn's Afro House remix of Everything But the Girl's "Missing." Most of these reworks remain true to the original while modernizing them for today's dancefloors. Exceptions like TLC's "Creep" lean heavily into reinvention, but it works beautifully. The trend of revamping classics continues with notable remakes, such as: Ava Max's rendition of "Forever Young." Ku De Ta's "Dance I Said," sampling Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It." Alesso & John Alto's update of Yes' "Owner of a Lonely Heart." Matt Sassari & Hugel's faithful revival of Sonique's "It Feels So Good," featuring a new vocalist. Jax Jones, Azteck, and Norma Jean Martine's fresh take on the Rihanna riff from Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie." It seems the trend of revamping tracks from yesteryear—be it from parents' record collections or early CD libraries—is here to stay. When done right, these reworks breathe new life into the dancefloor. Pulling inspiration from a mix of genres—NuDisco, Disco House, Tech House, and good old-fashioned House Music—"All About the Bass" is a masterful blend of everything that makes Funky House Music so irresistible. Each track seamlessly transitions into the next, keeping dancers and listeners on their toes with something fresh and unexpected at every turn. I won't dive too deep into the details of this set because, frankly, the music speaks for itself. As we get closer to the end of the year, I wanted to give everyone a heads-up about what's in the pipeline between now and then. I've got a new Chill Out set I just started working on, but I've also got a lot of medical shit this week, so the release may be slightly delayed. We'll see. That will be followed by our final Club Fusion set of the year—the annual "Jingle Electric", featuring all the hottest Dance Club songs heading into the holidays. After that, we'll drop our annual "Holiday Edition", which brings HOT Santas and even hotter tribal beats for the circuit boys. Next up, we'll roll out the "Top Dance Songs of the Year" set, packed with the biggest Dance Club songs that defined 2024. Every hit makes the cut—even the ones we're not fans of—because if it lit up clubs worldwide, it deserves its spot. Finally, we'll close out the year with the annual (yes, I'm saying it a lot, but it's relevant) "Blow Your Own Horn" series. This final set is a mix of the year's biggest songs and Dance Club classics reworked into a roof-raising style that'll shake the dancefloor. It's our final kiss-off to the year while welcoming in the new one—and trust me, it's gonna be epic! Until the next time...ENJOY! The sheer amount of racism, misogyny, xenophobia, and homophobia spoken loud and clear with Kamala Harris's defeat is staggering. My prediction? Trump will probably last six months to a year before Vance moves to have him replaced under the 25th Amendment. The guy's a rambling, dementia-addled buffoon, so that shouldn't be too hard. Project 2025 will start checking off every box on their agenda from day one. Now that SCOTUS has handed the president king-like powers, I wouldn't be shocked if this administration takes over all media and silences others, building its own propaganda machine. NATO will be dissolved, we'll pull out of the Paris Climate Accord, Putin will wipe out Ukraine and start moving on former NATO allies, and China will seize Taiwan. Trump or Vance will undo the Chips and Science Act, which poured nearly a trillion dollars into bringing chip manufacturing back to the U.S. Abortion bans will go nationwide, and with our Senate lost, Justice Thomas and Alito will step down and be replaced with younger ideologues, sealing white nationalist control over the highest court for a generation. LGBTQ rights? Gone. Contraception? Banned. Education will become a luxury, and kids will be working fields once every immigrant, legal or not, is deported. If Trump enacts a 20% tariff on all imports and 60% on anything from China, expect everything — including food — to quadruple in price. And that's just the beginning. There's a religious agenda waiting in the wings, and we'll see soon enough how that nightmare unfolds. I debated whether to release the latest two volumes of the Throwback series since they were meant as a Victory Dance Party. Honestly, I'm relieved I didn't pull the trigger early. There's absolutely nothing to celebrate — unless you're part of the 50% of bigots who are just fine with these fanatics targeting others, at least until it boomerangs back to you. And it will. For now, I'm cutting all unnecessary expenses for this podcast. I'd already planned to make this my final year, but you may see some slowdowns on the website and a loss of translation services as Rick and I figure out our next steps. For now, we're stuck in this shitshow along with everyone else. If I can keep it together, I'll continue my regular releases through the end of the year. Until the next time... And this set more than delivers. Bursting at the seams with peak-hour anthems, we've packed it with tracks from your favorite divas—old and new—including Kylie, Rihanna, Celine, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney (BITCH), Taylor Swift, Kelly Rowland, Beyoncé, Shakira, Loleatta Holloway, Christina Aguilera, Charli XCX, and Billie Eilish. Believe us, it doesn't get any realer than this. 11 Days to Protect Our Rights: Why This Election Matters With only 11 days until election day, now is the time for our final message to anyone considering sitting this one out or voting third party. The stakes couldn't be higher, especially for the LGBTQ community. This election will impact marriage equality, workplace protections, access to PrEP, housing rights, government employment (including military service), and women's reproductive rights like abortion, birth control, IUD, IVF, Mifepristone, the morning after pill, and yes, condoms. It will shape gun control, voting rights, and even the future of free speech. This isn't hyperbole—the outcome will profoundly impact your everyday life. Hell, Republicans are even going after your porn. Porn Hub has already stopped operating in Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, Utah, and Virginia. This includes gay porn, which has been upheld under the First Amendment but has been steadily eroded ever since by SCOTUS. The recent SCOTUS decision in Trump vs. United States grants unprecedented powers to the President, essentially making the office a monarchy. Under another Trump administration, there's nothing to prevent an assault on our constitutional rights, including due process in our pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. Some might think that voting for Jill Stein, who reappears every four years like a cicada to disrupt elections, is a viable option. This misguided choice effectively hands the election to Trump. Voting for Kamala Harris, on the other hand, ensures your continued freedom to speak out on issues like the Middle East without risking violence or repression—a stark reality we could face if Trump returns to power and enacts martial law. I urge you to vote—vote early or drop off your absentee ballot at your nearest dropbox (not mail), as Rick and I will be doing today. This election is nothing less than a choice between fascism and our open, free society. Our right to live authentically, to speak openly, and to challenge injustice depends on it. Our Republic, our freedoms,

I hadn't realized just how dominant the Rock Dance influence was during this time, but looking back, it was everywhere. Many tracks from that era didn't make it into these two volumes, but one that certainly stands out (next to Kelly Clarkson's “Since You've Been Gone” on Volume 2) is the Jacques Lu Cont Thin White Duke remix of “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. This song was massive, and you practically couldn't escape it. This period also marked the rise of another French DJ besides David Guetta: Bob Sinclar. Though he'd been honing his craft since the late '80s, it wasn't until this era that he seemingly exploded onto the scene with hits like “Love Generation,” “World, Hold On (Children of the Sun),” and “Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now).” His meteoric popularity even led to him headlining one of Hugh Hefner's parties at the Playboy Mansion. The event was later released as a two-volume set of House and Disco, aimed at the jet-set crowd. David Guetta, of course, is also in the mix here with some of his early work, including Juliet's “Avalon” and the huge “Love Don't Let Me Go.” As promised, we replaced the rock version of Roger Sanchez's “Turn On the Music” with the Axwell Electro House remix, which was the go-to version at the time. Paul Oakenfold (another 90s mainstay) was enjoying renewed success during this era, hitting #1 with “Faster Kill Pussycat,” featuring the incredible vocals of Brittany Murphy (may she rest in peace). For those wondering where this year's earlier hit “Perfect (Exceeder)” originated — it's straight from this time period, and we've included the Martijn Ten Velden remix, which stays true to the original but is more DJ-friendly. We also have to give major props to Peter Rauhofer (may he rest in peace) for his prolific output during this time. His remixes, which blended Progressive and Electro House, had wide appeal across dance floors. We've highlighted his stellar work on “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera, “Killer” by Seal, and “Maneater” by Nelly Furtado — all of which hit #1 on the Dance Club charts. While we wanted to include his remix of the Vanity 6/Prince-penned “Nasty Girl” by Inaya Day, we decided it was a bit too much from one producer. Two DJ duos that went on to achieve massive success are Moto Blanco, represented here with Mary J. Blige's “Be Without You” (originally credited as Bobby Blanco), and Freemasons, who shine on Beyoncé's “Deja Vu” and Faith Evans' sassy “Mesmerized” — a personal favorite.

This set specifically focuses on 2005-2006. Electro House had already been bubbling up from the underground, but by 2005, we saw the rise of future DJs who would later become household names. People like David Guetta, Axwell, Kaskade, Fedde Le Grande, and Dave Aude, to name a few. This period also brought me back into the scene after having dropped out because the music from 2002-2004 had become too druggy, dark, and frankly, depressing. I just wasn't feeling what Stephane K & Creamer were putting out at the time. It wasn't until Rick was out of town, and I went to a gay club in Atlanta with my bestie, LeAnn, that I realized the music was shifting. Hearing the Freemasons mix of "Lovin' You More" and "Mesmerized" lit a spark in me, and I knew the landscape was changing—bringing back my excitement for the scene. By this time, the big room stylings of Thunderpuss (Barry Harris and Chris Cox) had come to an end. However, Chris Cox carried on with their big tribal sound, while Victor Calderone, Hex Hector, Tony Moran, and Ralphi Rosario continued topping the Dance Club charts. Peter Rauhofer ventured into darker, progressive sounds—sometimes hitting the mark, other times not—but he was still in high demand, commanding high prices for his shows. If you're craving those memorable hits, Party Favorz has you covered. Check out our Top Dance Songs of 2000-2009 and Top Dance Songs of 1996-1999 sections, where you'll find the biggest chart-toppers in the U.S. For those more into the circuit anthems from this era, head over to our Classic Circuit Anthems section, where a 4-volume set awaits to blow you away. Over the next several years, the production styles of these early 2000s pioneers began to fade, making room for newer DJs like Avicii, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Soul Seekers, Wideboys, Freemasons, Moto Blanco, Seamus Haji, and soon after, Swedish House Mafia, among many others. The following decade was truly an exciting time for the Dance Club scene, with EDM becoming the dominant genre, alongside massive festivals that resembled rock concerts. One thing that didn't change was the length of the songs. Unlike today's musical landscape, where dance tracks often clock in at under 4 minutes, DJs back then continued the tradition of long, epic songs, just like their predecessors. I did very little editing here to let listeners experience true club mixes, with full builds and progression, instead of the short, catchy hooks that dominate now. It's worth noting that while Electro House didn't completely dominate the ...

This collection features the biggest bangers currently making waves! We kick things off with the fabulous "Finally" by Swedish House Mafia and Alicia Keys. This dream collaboration reimagines the 2001 house classic by Kings of Tomorrow (a.k.a. Sandy Rivera) into a sweeping anthem, showcasing Ms. Keys's incredible vocals. I can't recall a more unexpected and mesmerizing pairing since David Guetta and Kelly Rowland electrified the dance floor with "When Love Takes Over" back in 2009. Next up is a brand-new track from Canada's pop princess turned urban queen, Nelly Furtado. After a seven-year hiatus, her collaboration with Tove Lo and SG Lewis delivers an electro banger that seamlessly bridges her earlier work with Timbaland. The singer is in fantastic vocal form and looks as fabulous as ever, while Don Diablo's searing progressive remix is sure to captivate club-goers. Italian DJ Piero Pirupa, who previously reworked the rock classic "Another Brick in the Wall," returns with a hard-hitting remix of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Grunge was always ripe for an EDM makeover, and this remix elevates the original to new heights. Jerome Robins & Karsten Sollors take on Rihanna's classic "Don't Stop the Music," transforming it into a BIG HOUSE tune that's bound to blow the roof off any venue. Their version does justice to the original while opting out of the MJ "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" chant—frankly, it didn't need it. Martin Ikin is riding high with his chopped tribute to Beyoncé's "Crazy For You," titled "Crazy 4 U." Paired with "7 Seconds" by James Hype, these tracks highlight the diversity of styles in this set. We also feature sweeping anthems like the elegant "Tears" by John Summit and Paige Cavell, alongside Max Styler's progressive track before closing out with his techno smash, "Addiction." In between all this goodness are some heart-tugging and emotionally uplifting songs you may or may not have heard yet. This shift in the set allows listeners to breathe before transitioning to a harder note. Tracks like "Beautiful & Young" (a Lana Del Rey remake) by Harpoon, "Hold Me" by Freejak, "Wish You Knew" by Carlita, and "My Love 2024" by Alex Wann, Route 94, and Jess Glynne all deserve attention. While some lean towards Afro house, others showcase a more progressive structure, but they all mesh beautifully. Finally, we have the latest from Chappell Roan. I debated including her new track "Hot To Go!" due to the controversy surrounding her recent comments.

Lately, House Music has been crossing over into the mainstream, with the excellent Nic Fanciulli and Robert Courois track "Set Me Free" sitting atop Beatport's Top 100 and trending on many Spotify dance playlists. However, the song that's got us all worked up at Party Favorz is the opening track, "Let's Go" by Jaden Bojsen. This track is ripe for remixes, and while I've seen some floating around, I'm not certain if they're official. I'm calling attention to this song because it channels late '80s and early '90s House Music, perfectly setting the tone for most of this set. I fully expect it to feature on our next Dance Club set (dropping soon), as I want to push it hard. In the meantime, be sure to add it to your Spotify and Apple Music playlists. While this set sticks to our current House floor favorites, there's a good mix of Disco House and even some French House we're really into at the moment, giving it a nice balance. A personal favorite of mine is "Delicious" by Risk Assessment, which lifts the Acid House classic "Theme From S.E.X. Express," slows it down to a slinky 120 BPM, and throws in some classic Deee-lite riffs. If you know, you know. If you don't — you'll be into it soon enough. This set has been on heavy rotation in my car because I can't get enough of it. It just hits all the right notes, and I think even those who aren't typically fans of our Funky House series will enjoy it. That's all I've got for your weekend pleasure. Until next time…ENJOY! Initially, I wasn't certain how mixing in her current releases with her biggest hits from 10, 15 years ago would work so I dropped in several updated bootlegs that stayed true to the originals, while modernizing those songs for today's dance floors. I kept several of the original remixes from the time of their release because they work just as well now as they did when they were originally released. I finally got around to perfecting the remastering of older material to tone down pitchy high ssss you hear in some songs, expanded the dynamics on others that sounded a bit flat and punching up the bass to round it out so it didn't sound too cold like much of the original software used to create the mixes. This is a time-consuming process but with the help of ChatGPT, it made it much easier to be able to fine-tune these settings. I couldn't be happier and plan on deploying some of these techniques in future releases (especially Circuit & Anthems where many of the DJs don't use plugins for a more professional sound). All the remaining big hits like "On A Night Like This," "Spinnig Around," "Slow," "Love At First Sight," "Into the Blue," "The One," and "Breathe" are included here along with many current releases since "Tension" plus rare gems that never charted in the U.S. but had a minor prescence elsewhere. This truly is the Kylie Minogue wet dream all the gay boys have been waiting for. I only hope that I did the Queen justice. Kylie is Australia's biggest-selling artist, with over 80 million albums sold worldwide. She's considered the "Princess of Pop" behind Madonna, the "Queen of Pop," and is adored by millions of gay men around the globe. Currently, she's holding a residency at the Venetian in Las Vegas for a series of sold-out shows and has recently signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix for an upcoming documentary about her life. It was a long time coming when Kylie joined Madonna on her "Celebration Tour" for a performance of the iconic Gloria Gaynor classic "I Will Survive" and Kylie's own "Can't Get You Out of My Head." While I can no longer attend concerts, just watching two of my all-time favorite divas perform together brought tears to my eyes. Weird, I know—because I rarely get emotional, especially over artists I worship but treat as any other person in life—but it really hit me hard. Here at Party Favorz, we adore Kylie Minogue and all her achievements, which is why we're honoring her with her third induction into the Diva Hall of Fame. These two volumes (with Volume II dropping next weekend) are packed with all of Kylie's biggest hits, along with her current releases and collaborations. The sets feature some original remixes and a few bootlegs, blending her classic tracks with the current music scene. These sets bring Kylie into the 21st century, where old and new complement each other for a seamless tribute like no other. In my last post, I mentioned that downloading these sets would require a $10 donation per volume. While I have the ability to set that up, I just don't have the time right now because I'm juggling other issues (recently discussed) along with managing this podcast. So, these two volumes—and everything else for the remainder of the year—will remain free for all to enjoy. However, I know that two of you are posting some of these mixes on Mixcloud (yes, I know who you are) and House-Mixes.com, and passing off the work as your own. I really wish you wouldn't because it hurts my traffic and my ability to sustain this podcast through donations which doesn't even cover my monthly costs. I'm too busy to issue takedown notices, but I'm appealing to your better angels by asking you nicely to stop. As I mentioned earlier, Volume II will drop next weekend. After that, Party Favorz will be back to full capacity. I subscribe to my DJ service in 90-day periods, and I had to cancel it because of money issues. I'm waiting until after the 15th to renew,

This set is structured a bit differently from past efforts. We typically utilize key mixing for our podcasts, allowing for smoother transitions and a more pleasant listening experience. However, in this episode, the keys aligned perfectly, enabling us to load most of the Tea Dance-style tracks upfront before transitioning into the big circuit tribal beats you're accustomed to. Think of it as a slow build to the big room sound. Don't be fooled though, there's fire from the beginning. We have several notable entries, including the Superchumbo remix of the 80s gay anthem classic "Why" by Bronski Beat featuring a guest vocal by Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys. This was released in conjunction with a newly remastered and expanded edition of their queer classic "Age of Consent" album, a coming-of-age album for young queers in the early 80s. That song is quickly followed up by a remake of Madonna's "Into the Groove" by Drew G, surprisingly released around the same time as the Bronski Beat album in the 80s. Drew transforms the original dance groove into a big room scorcher, reimagining the song for late-night circuit audiences. There are countless Madonna remakes, but this version is truly one for the history books. Since we're on 80s throwbacks, Jace M & Toy Armada deliver the unexpected "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" by Belinda Carlisle. A proud LGBTQ+ community supporter and gay icon, Carlisle (of Go-Go's fame) shines in this remix. Jace and Toy's signature big room anthem style turns the giant pop song into a sweeping, hypnotic sing-along that captures the original's spirit. Don't miss it. Of course, we've got a plethora of new material from the diva of the moment, Chappell Roan, as well as Katy Perry, Kesha, Hayla, Anne-Marie, and the always fabulous Kylie Minogue (more on her in a moment). This set also features new and reworked songs from Gen X and Millennial divas like Erin Hamilton (RIP), Miss Suzanne Palmer, Anastacia, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Antoinette Roberson. As you can see, we've packed this set to the gills with old and new favorites that are bound to fuel your workouts for months to come. We had promised to deliver several reworked Diva Hall of Fame episodes but decided to cut it down to one. There seems to be a lack of appreciation for our work, and frankly, I'm not draining my bank account for folk's listening pleasure that refuse to support our efforts. The next release will be the long-overdue update for Kylie Minogue. It will be private and available only to those who've supported us since April — no matte...

The creation of this mix was akin to pulling teeth. I've mentioned in previous episodes that the dance music scene is going through some challenges this year, and there just hasn't been a lot of standout material. I'll save all the gritty details for our end-of-year round-up. What I will say is that despite being distracted by other issues (as I mentioned in yesterday's post), I had more than enough songs to create this set. The problem was that two-thirds of the tracks just weren't hitting the mark. There's so much mediocre to outright garbage music out there at any given time, making it difficult to be satisfied with the final result. I would finish the mix, only to start eliminating and replacing songs over the course of three weeks. It wasn't until last week that a flood of really good tracks dropped, allowing me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Then, yesterday, Pink Panda released a rework of the Martha Wash house classic "Catch the Light," transforming it into a supersonic, hyperactive powerhouse that just clicked. This track enabled me to rearrange some songs for a better overall flow of the set. Surprisingly, no one has jumped on this track yet, but they should. These powerhouse diva vocals are exactly what's missing in today's music, and there are flourishes of examples in this set. It seems that many DJs feel the same way and are starting to incorporate this style into their mixes, which excites us here at Party Favorz. Still, Summer Heat 2024 represents the absolute finest in Dance Club music at the moment, with a variety of genres represented throughout. If you missed our announcement yesterday, Party Favorz is once again fundraising to help cover our $300+ monthly costs. April's fundraiser lasted until early June, and since then, we've been covering expenses out of pocket. We really need small monthly donations, but we also welcome one-time contributions. All funds go directly into a dedicated account used specifically for our expenses. If you can help out, it would be greatly appreciated. We'll be back next week with the 2024 Summer Edition for the circuit boys. This is another area that's been lacking, but our good friend Mark from Dirty Disco just forwarded some upfront promos that aren't set for release until a later date, and they've completely blown us away. These tracks will be exclusive to Party Favorz. Until next time, ENJOY! There were two versions of this set with minor differences and the wrong one was initially uploaded. It's now been corrected. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm going to be honest: the entire dance music scene is in flux right now. Genre lines are blurring, creating chaos for DJs trying to curate balanced sets. While I'm adaptable, the rapid changes are working my last nerve. We've always avoided Dubstep and Drum & Bass due to their mixing challenges and overall intensity. Most listeners don't want an entire set of either genre. This left us with Tech House, Breaks, Bass House, and Techno as our primary sources for the Peak Hour series. Tech House used to be the glue that held all these sets together, but it's undergoing a similar transformation to Afro House—becoming more commercial and less dancefloor-oriented. The influx of Latin House and commercial tracks itno the genre makes finding genuine Tech House a daunting task. Some tracks now fit better in our Funky House series. The term "Melodic House and Techno" is misleading. These genres are vastly different. A prime example is "See You Sweat" by Max Styler and GENESI, a Techno-Tech House hybrid that's currently #1 on the Beatport Melodic House and Techno chart. I almost overlooked it because Melodic House doesn't typically fit our Peak Hour vibe. Breaks and Bass House have been particularly disappointing lately, offering little to work with. It's been a frustrating process. I've reworked this set three times, digging deep for the right tracks and cutting out what didn't work. While most of it is solid, the overall joy of creating these sets has diminished. I'm considering taking a break from this series and collecting tracks I love over the next several months for a future set as opposed to jumping right in and scooping up a bunch of great songs to include that just aren't there. The time commitment to curate a set while sifting through hundreds of weekly releases is unsustainable. Ultimately, I hope this set delivers. Please let me know your thoughts. Beach House 2024 has everything for House Music lovers, including straight-up House, Disco House, Latin House, Tech House, and Afro House, all seamlessly blended into a smoothie mix perfect for pool and beach parties. From the fabulous opening piano chords on the David Penn remix of "Our Love (80s)" by Yours to the sweat-inducing "Body Next To Mine" by Alex Adair and Bottom Up, this summer Funky House set hits all the right notes. A personal favorite is "Post That (Shit)" by Deon Cole and Terry Hunter. This track exudes a vogue vibe, beckoning listeners to post their poses to social media while enjoying a very Salsoul Records feel. The Chicago callout reminds us that the city is the birthplace of House Music. Mark Lower and Alexandra Prince give us a summery cocktail spin on "Paradise," a remake of the Sade classic. Tyshawn Colquitt remakes the disco classic "Spank" with DJ Spen adding a faithful garage mix, complete with horns. Armand Van Helden updates his early Millennium classic "My My My" with the uncredited Tara McDonald on vocals, creating another personal favorite. Meanwhile, Simon Fava, Yvvan Back & Cumbiafrica bring "The Heat" with their Latin Tech House track, which is currently topping many playlists. Another standout is "Move On Up" by Curtis Mayfield, with the incomparable Mark Knight performing remix duties. I didn't realize that the "Superfly" guy originally sang this song. Destination took it to #1 on the Disco charts in 1979, and Knight gives the original Soul/Funk version the Disco treatment, using Mayfield's original vocals. It's absolutely uplifting! DJ Ritmo Latino's "Ritmo Latino" is one of several Latin House songs included here that lend a salsa vibe laid over a house beat. Yvvan Back and Afterman deliver the Tech House track "Who's That Girl," which, with its Latin House delivery, belongs here more than on any Tech House set, where it's currently riding high. Finally, two other favorites are "Ain't Got No" by KPD and David Penn. The upbeat bounce of the song contrasts with the singer's declaration that she "ain't got nobody," a weird pairing that just works. Equally, Serge Funk's "Please Don't Leave" delivers a satisfying early 70s vibe laid over a Disco House beat that, contrary to the singer's plea, makes you elated and eager to dance. Believe it or not, I knocked out Beach House 2024 in one sitting, aiming for a carefree, open vibe to accompany the music, and it just melted together like butter! Beach House 2024 is your summer soundtrack to plain ole fun.

Unlike past efforts, we've decided to mix things up by offering alternate versions of some of the biggest dance songs, instead of the versions you're all familiar with. The aim is to create a party mix of your favorite songs, rather than sounding like our end-of-year Top Dance Songs. In cases where there aren't any alternate versions, we've stuck with the original. There's very little Afro House (a term we dislike) with only a couple of exceptions. So, don't expect the Rivo remix of "You and Me" by Disclosure. Instead, we chose the original Flume remix from 2023 when the song was first released. No one's come close to topping that stellar banger. The same goes for "Murder On the Dance Floor," which opens this set. Most remixes stick to the original Nu Disco version with a modern update. David Guetta flips the song into a proper banger, setting the stage for this release right from the start. As usual, we mix in some newer songs that are heating up dance floors because we don't want to wait until our Summer Heat release. Music tends to get backed up this time of year. Adding newer songs alongside earlier releases spices things up and keeps it interesting. I'll be dropping Volume 2 of this series shortly — so be on the lookout for that. Until the next time...ENJOY! For those who ignored what I wrote in our Gay Pride Edition 2024, the pieces are falling into place. Unless you've been living under a rock, SCOTUS has just made homelessness illegal, legalized obstructing Congress in counting electoral votes to confirm a President, sanctioned bribery for politicians and judges, and dismantled federal agencies overseeing our environment, food safety, consumer rights, and LGBTQ+ protections. In doing so, they've seized decision-making power from career federal experts, overriding the Chevron Doctrine that traditionally deferred to their expertise. After dragging their feet on whether former President Trump has total presidential immunity for absconding with Top Secret classified information back to Mar-a-Lago — something several people are currently in jail for while awaiting trial — on Monday, SCOTUS will hand down their decision. It's likely to be narrowly tailored, aimed solely at Trump, to avoid granting President Biden any special powers. This case highlights a crucial argument against presidential immunity: presidents are not kings. Granting them immunity from legal consequences undermines accountability and equality under the law, principles foundational to Constitutional Republic. This is just the beginning. If you haven't read up on Project 2025, wake up. It's already underway. All they need is for you to stay home, not vote, and let MAGA control all branches of government. That's the message. Happy fucking 4th of July. This edition's cover art is courtesy of Mark De Lange, also known as Dirty Disco. Mark isn't just a prodigious and talented DJ who helps keep many of our Circuit and Anthems sets glued together; he's also a businessman, entrepreneur, and a genuinely nice guy. The hot daddy aspect is just an added bonus. Party Favorz wanted to celebrate this edition with real people we know, and it's an honor that Mark shared a variety of photos with us to choose for the cover. He even shared more than we asked for, but let's just say, we're impressed. If you find yourself in Houston (TX) anytime soon, head on over to the Montrose area and drop by his bar, the Houston Eagle (611 Hyde Park, Houston, TX 77006) where he spins on Sundays and say hi. Tell him Party Favorz sent you. The Importance of Voting in 2024 As we celebrate Gay Pride month, it's crucial to address some pressing issues. It's an election year, folks, and it's the single most important one in our lifetime. It was true in 2016 when we urged everyone to vote for Clinton, but many couldn't get past the email controversy despite her being the most qualified person to ever run for office. Her loss resulted in a narcissistic, six-times-bankrupt, and morally corrupt individual holding the highest seat in our nation, which allowed him to install three conservative justices on the Supreme Court, giving them a majority. Since then, they've rolled back voting rights, overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade, and expanded religious liberties to the point where doctors and pharmacists can openly discriminate against women, minorities, and the LGBTQ community without fear of punishment through state laws barring discrimination. Effectively, they've polluted our Constitution and severely restricted our 14th Amendment rights, and they're only getting started. The Threats to LGBTQ Rights Many of the hard-fought rights LGBTQ people have fought for, like marriage equality, sodomy laws, and the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, have been won by the struggles and willingness of the gay community to fight for the equal rights we're guaranteed under the Constitution. Now, all of it—ALL OF IT—is on the chopping block. After overturning Roe v. Wade, Justice Thomas, in his concurring opinion, went even further, inviting lawsuits to overturn contraception and marriage equality. Don't be fooled; this court is not comprised of strict constitutionalists but rather activist judges who are attempting to inje...

This set is packed with timeless gay anthems, including Denis Bravo's masterpiece rework of Whitney Houston's "I'll Always Love You," seamlessly blended with a snippet of the original Hex Hector remix. We've also included Ariana Grande's "Yes, And," based on the classic "Vogue" sample, alongside a modern Madonna rework by Leo Frappier (aka Division 4). Chappell Roan's breakthrough hit "Pink Pony Club" gets a dancefloor-ready rework by Stephen Jusko & DJ Blacklow, followed by Ethel Cain's "Sun Bleached Flies" and a haunting fan-made mashup of her vocals with Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" instrumental. Of course, no set would be complete without the original Robyn version of "Dancing On My Own," remixed by Luca Debonaire, Tony Ruiz, and Matt Consola. Adam Lambert and Sigala pay tribute to Sylvester with their rendition of "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)," while Lily Allen's "Fuck You" gets a rousing Dubstep remix. These two volumes of "Gay Anthems For A New Generation 2024" are truly the best yet, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community's progress over the past 20 years. In other news, we're still falling short of our monthly goals to keep the lights on. If you haven't already, please consider pitching in $5 a month to cover our operating expenses. Party Favorz won't be around forever, but we'd love to finish the year strong. We'll be back next week with a massive two-volume Pride Edition for our circuit boys. Until then...ENJOY! We kick off this sizzling set with the undeniable "Go Back" by John Summit and Sub Focus. This track has already set dancefloors ablaze, and its unique blend of Summit's signature house vibes with Sub Focus's explosive drum & bass switch-up guarantees it a lasting place in your summer playlist. While we love incorporating drum & bass into our mixes, it's a tricky genre to blend seamlessly due to its distinctive time signature. Trust us, a strictly D&B set can clear a dancefloor faster than the DJ can "read the room." After extensive experimentation, we found the perfect transition in Anyma and Chris Avantgarde's massive "Consciousness" from two years back. This track effortlessly bridges the gap between "Go Back" and Armin van Buuren's latest hit, "By Now," even though they aren't in compatible keys – sometimes, it just works! From there, we dive into the infectious energy of TELYKAST's "Free" and Avalan Rokston's "Paradise," two underrated gems that are destined to become summer anthems. We've also included two spring releases that initially flew under our radar, despite their immense popularity. Cloonee's "Sippin' Yak" received a must-have official remix by Morgan Seatree, and Mr. Belt and Wezol's garage-infused rework of Whitney Houston's "It's Not Right But It's Okay" finally caught our attention. While the original Thunderpuss remix remains iconic, Renyn and Schelander's energetic version sealed the deal for us. Jennifer Lopez, riding high on the success of her Netflix movie "Atlas" (highly recommended), also makes an appearance with Fisher's masterful house remix of her 1999 classic, "Waiting For Tonight." We've meticulously curated this set to deliver a Club Fusion experience – a mix of genres that keeps the party vibe fresh and exciting. We'll be taking a short break, but when we return, get ready for our June Pride celebrations! We'll be dropping "Gay Anthems for a New Generation" and "Pride Edition 2024" in the same week. Additionally, look out for our annual "Catch-Up" series, featuring the year's biggest hits so far, and the next installment of our beloved "Throwback" series. Until the next time...ENJOY! * No frogs were harmed in the making of the cover art. ^This episode was updated by tightening the transitions for the first quarter of the mix. In fact, our latest edition of Chill Out Sessions takes a nostalgic step back to our Mixtape Sessions. These sets were laidback affairs but leaned towards a more commercial realm of music from that era. With the recent explosion of the Afro House genre, many of these tracks find a better-suited home in this series. DJs seem to have only recently discovered percussion as if it were something new, yet it has been a staple in dance remixes since the 90s, lending these songs a warmer vibe. Back then we called it Progressive House, which will undoubtedly resurface as the genre du jour of the moment any time now /s While some of these tracks indeed fall into the Afro House category, most do not. However, this doesn't diminish their quality, beauty or resilience. On the contrary, they are exceptional, and we're all about top-notch dance music here at Party Favorz. Nevertheless, many of these tunes are so laid-back that they might not fit the dance floor vibe but rather serve as background music while you unwind during your drive home from work or need some zen time. While we'll use some of these songs in our Club Fusion series (because we stay on trend around here), many wouldn't make the cut but deserve to be aired. This episode packs a serious punch, overflowing with modern-day House bangers alongside classic Disco House that sets the mood perfectly. Funky Classics with a Modern Twist We kick things off with a fresh take on a 90s House favorite: Jamiroquai's "Space Cowboy" gets a vibrant update by Michael Gray in his "Good Vibe" remix. It keeps the original spirit alive while feeling fresh for the 21st century. Next up, Mark Lower and Alexandra Prince reimagine Sade's soothing "Paradise" with a Nu Disco beat and Prince's smooth vocals, creating a perfect summer invitation. Dance Floor Dominators Get ready to move! The set explodes with modern House anthems guaranteed to light up any dance floor. We're especially loving LF System's uplifting "Lift You Up," a positive anthem that reminds us to focus on the good, even amidst challenges. OFFIAH's "Hands" carries the same sentiment, with a roof-raising energy that beckons everyone to join the party. A Touch of Sexy Of course, Funky House Heat wouldn't be complete without some seductive vibes. The Shapeshifters deliver with "Body Music," featuring a familiar sample from the timeless House classic "Body To Body (Keep In Touch)" by Shades of Love. It's a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Peak Hour Dance Floor Sweat Ready to lose yourself in the heat? This episode features several peak-hour heavy-hitters. DJ Minx's "Don't Do It To Me," Earth n Days' and "The Kinda Love" (CASSIMM remix) are floor-scorchers. "NRG" by Many Few, which holds true to its namesake featuring what sounds like a sample of Loleatta Holloway but don't hold us to that — is pure FIRE! Disco Heat Funky House Heat doesn't forget its Disco roots. Dr Packer and Purple Disco Machine, two legendary names, bring the heat, while Sofi Tukker's "One On One" (a personal favorite) gets a remix treatment from the 70s Disco master, Cerrone. Throwbacks with a Message We love a good throwback, and this episode features two gems. Kyle Watson's modern take on the Funk classic "Low Rider" by War is a surprising hit, paying homage to Chicano culture while keeping dance floors moving. Brothas & Sistas' "Without Love" is a Funky House reimagining of the Doobie Brothers' "Long Train Running," transformed into a powerful call for unity in these divided times. Finally May will be packed with exciting releases at Party Favorz, so stay tuned across all our channels! This set is bursting with the hottest dance club tracks guaranteed to keep you moving all night long. We scour the internet to find the bangers that are taking clubs and festivals by storm, so you don't have to. Fresh Takes on Classics We kick things off with a modern twist on the early-millennium Progressive House classic "Touch Me" by Rui Da Silva and Cassandra, which the original was just featured on our BackSpin 2024 Volume 1 set. Switch Disco blends this iconic track with Drake's "Massive" for a mashup that's sure to get the crowd jumping. This trend of refreshing old favorites is strong, but trust us, nothing beats Cassandra's original vocals that add a touch of sultry urgency. Another standout mashup comes from DJs From Mars, who combine Ariana Grande's "We Can't Be Friends" with the Temper Trap classic "Sweet Disposition" This fusion perfectly complements the original Axwell remix, transforming it into a powerful big room anthem without losing its emotional core. New Releases with Anthem Potential Up next is Becky Hill's emotional powerhouse ballad "Outside Love" from her upcoming album "Never Be Alone" (dropping May 31st). The song delivers a deep and relatable message about heartbreak, further amplified by Hill's soulful vocals. While there are remixes available, Party Favorz recommends the extended original for its ability to evoke a powerful connection with the audience. We also have a killer rave remix in store for our next release – this song is that good! Rising Stars and Summer Smash Hits Ella Henderson and Rudimental join forces for "Alibi," a track that samples the iconic 90s hit "Gangsta Paradise" by Coolio. Joel Corry takes the remix helm, transforming the song into a hard-hitting 145 BPM dance floor anthem. Newcomer Artemas also makes a splash with the catchy "I Like the Way You Kiss Me." Despite some online rumors (we won't get into the details!), the song itself is undeniably catchy, especially with Oliver Helden's electrifying rave remix. This one's bound to be a summer smash. Keeping the party vibes flowing, we have a refreshed version of the 2002 classic "All the Things She Said" by t.A.T.u. Robin Schulz, Timmy Trumpet & KOPPY take this beloved song and turn it into a proper rave banger, seamlessly blending in with the previous tracks. Hidden Gems and Unexpected Remixes Don't miss the Martin Horger remix of Purple Disco Machine & ÁSDÍS's "Beat of My Heart." This remix injects a pulsating synth line, drawing inspiration from the Lil Louis House classic "French Kiss.

You might be encountering a surge of tracks labeled "Afro House." But hold on a minute – isn't that what Progressive House used to be called? This trend of rebranding classic genres isn't new. Remember when Deep House morphed into commercial House, then Future House? Great music deserves recognition on its own merits, not through constant relabeling. Speaking of great music, the recent TikTok wave has unearthed some fantastic reworked Progressive House classics. Think genre pioneers like John Creamer & Stephane K, Deep Dish, Scumfrog, and artists who masterfully used heavy percussion – Chus & Ceballos, Oscar G & Ralph Falcon, Friburn & Urik, Peter Rauhofer, and many more. Tracks like Rui Da Silva's timeless "Touch Me" are getting a fresh spin for modern dance floors, and the results are phenomenal! Back to the Future: Revisiting Millennial Dance Music The cyclical nature of dance music trends is undeniable. Right now, the spotlight's on late-90s and early 2000s classics, with artists sampling or revamping entire tracks. It's a trend we wholeheartedly support, and you can expect to hear these gems showcased in future Club Fusion and Peak Hour sets. This trend sparked a trip down memory lane for us here at Party Favorz. Remember our BackSpin series from way back in our early years? Last year, we aimed to revisit the glory days of 2000s dance music, following up on our popular Ultimate 90s House Classics series. We started with a Millennial Dance Classics series, but the sheer diversity of the decade made it tough to curate a cohesive set. After all, massive hits often land in our Top Dance Songs of the Year anyway. So, we decided to resurrect the BackSpin series! This allows us to delve deeper into specific genres that defined the 2000s dance music scene. Each BackSpin release will focus on a distinct genre, with a sprinkle of Trance and Electronica thrown in for good measure. These sets will typically span a five-year period, featuring a mix of crowd-pleasing favorites and some hidden gems ripe for rediscovery – think "It's Love (Trippin')" by Goldtrix and Andrea Brown or "Addicted To Bass" by Puretone featured in volume 1. For those seeking classic remixes by the likes of Thunderpuss, Hex Hector, and Victor Calderone, fear not! We've already covered those in our Classic Circuit Anthems series from 2014. The BackSpin Reboot: A Journey Through Millennial Dance Music Genres The rebooted BackSpin series will explore the vast and vibrant landscape of Millennial dance music, beyond the big remixes.

We've thrown in some Breaks and Trance too, keeping things lively. Our new mix "Vibrate" was knocked out in one sitting. We kept it tight so you won't get bored; the tracks flow smoothly but with surprises to keep the energy high. In other news, we've moved back to our old hosting spot, aiming to settle down. The cost of running our show has been crazy, with some service bills hitting the roof. Not all these services are worth their price, so we're cutting down where we can, but it's still a pricey affair. We hit a snag with our recent move, causing a 24-hour downtime and some missing files. I'm on it, fixing things even on a Sunday. If you're following specific categories on different platforms, hang tight; it might take a month to get everything sorted before they reappear. We're also shaking things up with our donation system, switching to a new provider. More details are coming soon. For now, the donation page is ready (albeit a little sluggish), and if you can chip in, it would really help us cover our costs. I want to apologize for dropping another set on a Sunday (Monday in some parts of the world). I've been juggling personal stuff with updating the website while trying to crank out new episodes, which has thrown off our schedule. Our latest Club Fusion entry spans a wide range of music, catching up on what we missed in January and February and previewing what's to come on dance floors in the next few weeks. There's plenty to talk about so let's dive in! John Summit returns with "Shiver," the follow-up to his massive 2023 hit "Where Are You Now," featuring another outstanding vocal performance by Hayla. While this track is a solid floor-filler, it may lean a bit too closely to the magic of its predecessor. However, that won't deter anyone from enjoying its deep atmosphere and haunting vocals. Summit also offers an exceptional update to Temper Trap's "Sweet Disposition," a song that never tires in its various versions. In fact, "Sweet Disposition" is on track to rival Underworld's "Born Slippy" as a DJ favorite for revitalization. Summit's take maintains the original's integrity while adding his unique flair to the track. Both releases are essential for any DJ set. Among the tracks we're excited about is Becky Hill's latest single, "Never Be Alone," from her forthcoming album. The D.O.D remix cleverly incorporates the bass synth riff from Armand Van Helden's 90s remix of "Spin Spin Sugar" by Sneaker Pimps, elevating an already stellar track on the dance floor. Ariana Grande and Dua Lipa also contribute new offerings. Ariana's "Yes, and?" has been stuck in our heads like glue, echoing Madonna's iconic "Vogue" and inspiring numerous mashups. Felix Jahen's version stays true to the original while giving it a contemporary lift. We eagerly anticipate Grande's next album. Dua Lipa's third album seems to explore similar themes as her groundbreaking "Future Nostalgia." Personally, I would have chosen "Training Season" over "Houdini" as the lead single (excluding "Dance the Night Away" from the "Barbie" soundtrack). The songs don't fall flat, but they lack the captivating edge of her previous work. Nevertheless, the remixes manage to elevate them for the dance floor, keeping Lipa relevant in the house music scene. It's time to spotlight emerging DJs you should be following, starting with AVALAN ROKSTON. Currently in Beatport's Top 10 with their remake of Moby's "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?" they've also released "Faith," a song teased on TikTok for over a month that truly lives up to the hype. The emotional depth of "Faith" is undeniable, especially when the euphoria hits. Their remix of London Grammar's "Strong" from 2023, though new to us, is so impressive it deserves recognition among the top dance songs of last year and has been included here despite ...

"YoYo Dissco" features all the latest Funky House, Disco House, and House Music songs that have been buzzing in our ears for the past couple of months. If you're a fan of this series (and it seems a lot of you are, judging by the numbers over the past year), everything will sound familiar with a fresh sense of newness throughout the mix. This set kicks off with some Gospel Disco by the always fabulous Barbara Tucker, who we haven't heard from in a while and delivers a hopeful track for these trying times. From there, you'll journey through the dance floor with an endless array of roof-raisers, funky throwbacks, and mashups of perennial favorites, creating entirely new songs. Navigating Through Time: A Reflection on Party Favorz's Journey and Musical Milestones Party Favorz is now in its 17th year, and it's remarkable to think we've been around for four presidencies, witnessing massive changes in technology and entertainment consumption. We were leading the charge in this arena before podcasts became ubiquitous, and while many have fallen by the wayside, we're still here delivering the dancefloor directly to you. Towards the end of this mix, you'll notice a song called "The Cure & The Cause" by Fish Go Deep and Tracey K. Idris Elba took the song in a very 90s straight House Music direction. At the time of its original release, it was all about the DJ Meme remix, which added live strings in the vein of the Solsoul Records era. It was a massive hit back in 2007, the same year Party Favorz was born on the internet. It's interesting to note that it was also released during a presidential year, similar to the current time. While nothing will ever top the DJ Meme remix, this new rendition brought back a lot of fond memories from our early days. You can find the DJ Meme remix on our Funky House Edition 2007 v6 and on Volume 1 of our DJ Meme tribute mix. Technical Updates and Enhancements: Improving Your Listening Experience I've been struggling to get the categories to work on the streaming feeds for several days, but then it came to me in a dream last night. That's been the delay in getting the new design out, and I haven't fully tested it yet, but hopefully, it will work out. If not, I'm waiting on a quote from a developer to assist, along with fixing the link in the site's header. No need to inform me; I'm aware of it and will get it fixed as soon as possible. Yet, towering above them all is the unparalleled Taylor Swift. This year, she embarked on her monumental "Eras Tour," spanning an ambitious 151 dates across five continents. The tour, already etching records as the highest-grossing by a woman and second overall, is a testament to Swift's colossal impact and unwavering appeal. But wait, there's more. Swift didn't just stop at live performances. Her concert film broke records, dominating theaters worldwide and showcasing her transition from a country music prodigy to a pop culture icon. This strategic re-recording of her first six albums, originally recorded at a smaller label, wasn't just a gamble—it was a power move to regain control of the royalties for her music after it was sold to a private equity firm from underneath her. Each album's rerelease shot to #1 on the Billboard Hot 200, sidelining fresh releases from other artists. In her "Eras Tour," Swift ingeniously packaged 44 songs from her discography into a 3.5-hour extravaganza. This visual and auditory spectacle, divided into 10 acts, each representing an album era, garnered critical acclaim and fan adoration, solidifying her status as a true music industry maverick. Here at Party Favorz, we celebrate such groundbreaking artists, especially when their journey intersects with dance music. With the flurry of new remixes emerging from "Taylor's Version" albums, we found it imperative to revisit our original tribute and elevate it with a fresh, deluxe edition. Reworking the original volumes was no simple task. We dove back into the essence of Taylor's music, remixing both volumes from scratch while respecting the template of the original releases. New versions and new songs now infuse these collections, ensuring a unique and exhilarating experience for Swift's fans. A special shoutout to Dirty Disco is in order for their invaluable contribution to the first volume of this deluxe edition. Their remixes, particularly the "Blank Space" exclusive, are a nod to Taylor's diverse fanbase, particularly the LGBTQ+ community, who find a special connection with her music. Celebrating Taylor Swift in our Diva Hall of Fame with 'Club Taylor Volume 1' is more than an honor—it's a recognition of her immense contribution to dance music. With over 200 million records sold, Taylor Swift isn't just a figure in a male-dominated industry; she's a trailblazer who has touched t...
