Para encerrar o bate-papo, a auditora escolheu a música “I will survive", da Gloria Gaynor.

Two-time GRAMMY winner Gloria Gaynor has released the new single "Fida Known", an empowered reflection on a past relationship that serves as a showcase for Gaynor's showstopping voice and effortless vocal charisma. Co-written by Gaynor in Nashville alongside GRAMMY-winning songwriters Chris Stevens and Michael Pollack (Miley Cyrus, Maroon 5), "Fida Known" is Gaynor's first new solo single since the release of 2019's GRAMMY-winning LP 'Testimony', and an emphatic declaration of the power of hindsight when overcoming adversity.Over pulsing handclaps and synth keyboard stabs, Gaynor opens the track by acknowledging her infatuation with a past lover: "You were drivin' me crazy / The kind of crazy that made me see stars". Her declaration of love then gives way to a wiser Gaynor, who laments her shortsightedness in an instant-classic hook: "Fida known that you never / Woulda loved me forever / I'da found someone better / Who could hold me tight." The track is a return to her recognizable disco sound after the breathtaking rootsy gospel of 'Testimony,' and the production of Matt Bronleewe immerses Gaynor's voice in a funky mid-tempo groove that's tailor made for the dance floor or driving with the top down."Fida Known" is the first taste of Gaynor's 'Happy Tears' EP, an empowering groove-filled journey that sees her working with up-and-coming songwriters Sam Tinnesz (Kygo, Fitz and the Tantrums), Caitlyn Smith (Miley Cyrus, Meghan Trainor), and Liz Rose (Taylor Swift). The EP is a continuation of Gaynor's new chapter that began with 2019's 'Testimony' and was followed by a collaboration with Kylie Minogue ("Can't Stop Writing Songs About You") in 2022. Fáilte ar ais chuig eagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo ar an 17ú lá de mí an Mhárta, liomsa Lauren Ní Loingsigh. I 1980 bhí raic ag tarlú sa Bhreatain ag an am nuair a tháinig ráiteas amach do na vótaí níl do na hÉireannach. I 2010 bhí níos mó ná 55 míle daltaí ag athscrúdú mata, gaeilge agus béarla arís. I 1954 bhí searmanas ar siúil in Inis don Fhéile de St Flannan. I 2010 stop 77 comhraiceoir tine ag obair de bharr gur thóg an rialtas 7.2% de a pinsean go mídhleathach óna tuilleamh gan aon admháil. Sin Pass Out ó Tinie Tempah – an t-amhrán is mó ar an lá seo I 2010. Ag lean ar aghaidh le nuacht cheoil ar an lá seo I 1979 chuaigh Gloria Gaynor chuig uimhir a haon ar na cairteacha lena amhrán I Will Survive. Bhí sí ann ar feadh mí. I 2016 chuaigh Adele chuig barr na cairteacha lena albam 25 don tríú huair. Tháinig an t-albam amach I 2015 agus chuaigh sé chuig uimhir a haon láithreach bonn agus tháinig an nuacht amach go raibh sé an t-albam a dhíol is tapúla sa domhain go dtí sin. Agus ar deireadh breithlá daoine cáiliúla ar an lá seo rugadh aisteoir Kurt Russell I Meiriceá I 1951 agus rugadh amhránaí Hozier I gCill Mhantáin ar an lá seo I 1990 agus seo chuid de a amhrán. Beidh mé ar ais libh amárach le heagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo.

We're celebrating our 10th anniversary all year by digging in the vaults to re-present classic episodes with fresh commentary. What better way to kick things off than where it all began? Here's a look back at episode one and our conversation with Jim Peterik. ABOUT JIM PETERIKSinger, songwriter, guitarist, and keyboardist Jim Peterik is best known as a founding member of the band Survivor and the co-writer of their Grammy-winning double platinum #1 hit single, “Eye of the Tiger.” But that's only the tip of the iceberg. Thirty-five of Jim's songs have appeared on the Billboard Pop chart, including seven Top 10 singles. His first major success came when his original band, Ides of March, took the Peterik-penned “Vehicle” to the #2 position on the Pop chart in 1970, spawning cover versions by Chet Baker and Shirley Bassey. After a stint as a solo artist with Epic Records, Jim formed Survivor in 1979, penning a string of hits for the band, including “I Can't Hold Back,” “High On You,” “The Search is Over,” “Burning Heart,” and “Is This Love.” While still writing hits for his own group, Jim forged a successful partnership with the members of 38 Special, co-writing classic songs, including “Rockin' Into the Night,” “Hold On Loosely,” and “Caught Up In You.” Widely respected as a top-notch collaborator, Jim has co-written successful songs with a number of artists, including the Beach Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sammy Hagar, Cheap Trick, the Doobie Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Mindi Abair. The long list of those who have covered his compositions includes Paul Anka, Gloria Gaynor, Tony Orlando, Reba McEntire, Larry Gatlin, Blackhawk, and The Outlaws. He is the co-author, with Dave Austin, of Songwriting for Dummies.
