Every now and then, you meet fellow travelers who have often explored some of the same paths as you. Sometimes they've gone further. Josh and Palmer are two of my favorite explorers to talk to, because of conversations like this. We start out talking about ghosts and aliens, but ultimately end up in the familiar space of the present moment. Mindfulness. I hope that this podcast will help you find peace in not knowing, and happiness in chaos. Let's continue to ask the hard questions together. patreon.com/betterideas
In today's episode, Palmer and I discuss his idea for an app that would probably change the world, and that leads into many facets of conversation about the internet. How it's structured, how people make money on it, and how some of those things need improvement. I believe that this is an important conversation for everyone to participate in, being that we all use the internet. Whether that's for you business, art, social life, or all of the above.
The Church of Whatever is a segment dedicated to spiritual concepts, and a lot of the ideas we grew up learning about. Could we have missed something? Is it possible that some of the ideas that we've rejected have actual value in our lives? Well, we intend to dig deep, and search for meaning where it's been lost in order to see what we can learn through deconstructing some of the most foundational beliefs that we've held at certain points in life. This conversation between Palmer and I is about Sin. That word carries a lot of weight, and means a lot of different things to different people. My hope is that this conversation causes you to think about what it means to you, and perhaps find healing from a new perspective on an ancient version of morality. Enjoy! I've been waiting a while to introduce you to my friend Palmer. This conversation goes in a lot of different directions, but it's because him and I are both very passionate about some of the topics we get into. We both felt like we only scratched the surface. So, during this conversation we (halfway) joked about doing this weekly. It's gonna happen! We plan on talking about a lot more topics and queuing in on some of the most important ones to us. The next episodes will be a lot shorter, but just as awesome.
This is a conversation with my good friend, Will. We talk about how to grow a beard, being authentic, a few spiritual ideas, and about the new direction this podcast is headed. I'm sure there's a few other things too. If you'd like to help take this show on the road, expand production, and continue to grow, consider becoming a patron here; patreon.com/betterideas

Kyle Devlin is a great and very insightful teacher, who I learned a lot from during this conversation. We talk about how he started his fitness journey and how he stays on that path as difficult as that may be.

Josh and I had an enlightening conversation with Matt, about his life as an energy worker who helps people "get their life." It was an amazing conversation about everything from the nature of love, to healing our own suffering. But, we really only scratched the surface! Check out Matt's website for more stuff like this. belovehealings.com

It's crazy for me to think that there are people who have been listening to this podcast regularly for an entire year. My only hope is that, within the past year, you have heard something of value. I hope that it inspired or taught you in some way. At the least, I hope you found some entertainment. I know I have. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed in making this small idea turn into something that I never knew it could. Cheers to 2017 everyone! Thanks for making it rad.
This week I'm airing Will and I's segment, Room For Nuance. We talk about the future of the podcast and Taboos. This is a conversation about why we should be talking about things that aren't always easy to talk about. But, maybe we just need to let go of some of our opinions?

They have been very busy so there is plenty of great stories to talk about!

It's been a long time since I've publicly commented on current events. I couldn't let this one go. Will and I sat down to talk about the current state of the protests in Virginia, with hopes to provide a little Room for Nuance.
One day while I was at work, I randomly starting searching for podcasts relating to Lawrence, KS to see if there was anyone else out there pursuing this unique form of media. I then discovered a plethora of amazing new information about the city that I live in, and was fortunate enough to have Jason over for a really fun conversation about his life.
Gregory Frye is a man that I have wanted to meet for a long time. He is the executive online editor at Green Flower Media, and an amazing writer, who also happens to live in Greece of all places.
