Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Bishop Fulton Sheen's 1974 diagnosis of a “crisis in Christendom” say this coming: family breakdown, media shaped by anti-Christian assumptions, and a society that slowly adjusts to decline like a frog in warming water. We start with Nick Shirley's reporting on alleged adult daycare fraud and the uncomfortable question it raises: when taxpayer money disappears into “programs,” who benefits, and who gets protected when the spotlight turns on? We talk through why certain leaders go silent, why whistleblowers get attacked, and how following the money can reveal the incentives that drive political corruption. From there, we zoom out into the moral and spiritual roots beneath the headlines. We share two simple tests we use to judge whether a public leader is oriented toward the common good: do they defend innocent human life, especially the unborn, and do they defend marriage and the family as the core structure that forms stable citizens? When those pillars collapse, everything else follows: dishonesty becomes normal, vulnerable people get manipulated, and ideologies step in to replace conscience. If you feel the urgency, join us on a practical path: The Claymore Battle PlanSubscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review with the one moment that challenged you most.Support the show
What if the real reason your recovery feels harder than it should is not just habit or willpower, but spiritual warfare aimed at your deepest vulnerabilities? Shawn Bonneteau shares a raw wake-up call from his own season in the Czech Republic and breaks down how the enemy looks for the exact places where your heart feels hungry, unseen, bitter, anxious, or vulnerable.Shawn unpacks why he believes spiritual warfare is often missed in Christian recovery, especially for men fighting pornography, shame, loneliness, conflict, and self-reliance. He also shares two powerful coaching stories, including a man who shifted from passivity to real fatherhood and another who moved from mental wrestling to surprising peace after a warfare prayer that named lies, vows, soul ties, fears, and open doors. You'll discover:How to recognize the difference between normal struggle and spiritual attackWhy the enemy often targets “voids” like comfort, hope, reassurance, and peaceThe surprising reason inactivity can be part of the attackHow the armor of God becomes a prevention, protection, and victory planWhy truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and Scripture are not abstractions but daily weaponsHow to spot legal ground, footholds, and open doors that keep you stuckShawn also reframes Ephesians 6 in a way that makes the armor of God feel practical and urgent, using vivid examples like brushing your teeth before there is pain and standing firm when the battle is already in motion. If you've ever wondered why the same patterns keep resurfacing, or why certain emotions seem to trigger old cycles, this episode will help you see the bigger battle with fresh clarity.Essential listening if you want more than short-term sobriety. This is for Christian men, husbands, fathers, and anyone in recovery who is ready to move from confusion to clarity, fear to confidence, and fragile self-reliance to lasting freedom in Christ.Ready to get clear, confident and free?Book your personal recovery plan session where Shawn will spend 60 minutes with you defining your true heart issue and the true heart solutionsecrethabit.ca/personalrecoveryplan--Host: Shawn Bonneteau, coach and founder of Secret Habit, helping Christian men quit pornography and become men of integrity, maturity, and freedom.

Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Anxiety is everywhere, but what if it isn't just a personal problem, it's a warning light? We sit with the hard reality Gen Z is naming out loud: depression, dark thoughts, and a constant sense that something is off. We share a simple, realistic plan: “knees before the phone,” and the Claymore 10-minute morning prayer ritual, then reading five minutes out of the Handbook at night. Just as armies in the Old Testament waited for God's leading before they went into battle, we need to wait on God to follow Him so that He can fight our battles for us and we can be conquerors. We must have faith in what we cannot see to know that God fights for us and loves us.
Christians are called to stand firm in the midst of spiritual battle, but what does that look like in everyday life? In this episode of Contending for the Word Q&A, Dave Jenkins considers Ephesians 6:13 and James 4:7 to explain how believers stand firm by submitting to God, resisting the enemy, remaining grounded in biblical truth, and pursuing consistency in their walk with Christ. Standing firm is not about dramatic spiritual experiences or relying on our own strength. It is a daily posture of choosing truth over lies, trust over fear, and faithfulness over compromise. God has not left His people without direction for spiritual battle. Christians resist the enemy by remaining under God's authority and steadfast in the truth of His Word. Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Most of us don't need more religious trivia. We need a clear path that shows how a man actually changes. That's why we brought back Cooper Bohn with Mark Schmidt co-hosting with me, and went deep on one of the most practical frameworks in the Catholic tradition: the purgative, illuminative, and unitive ways.We start with the real world where guys live: dating, marriage prep, and the fight to love well. Cooper shares how Theology of the Body and Natural Family Planning (NFP) stopped being abstract Church talk and became a concrete invitation to honor his wife, tell the truth in his vows, and root out sin. We also name the problem that too many people tiptoe around: porn culture reshapes the heart, and if it isn't healed it can follow a man straight into his marriage and poison intimacy. From there, we zoom out to the spiritual life “training plan.” We talk about why you have to begin with the end in mind, what union with God actually means, and why the road can feel harder over time even as you grow stronger. Cooper lays out the purgative way with blunt clarity: stop mortal sin first, go to confession, and start fighting like your soul matters. Then we move into the illuminative way: consistent mental prayer, deeper vigilance, and God drawing you into quiet so your soul becomes ready for communion.Check These Out! Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”A whole generation is being handed a worldview that feels “normal” only because they grew up in it, and it's everywhere. Prayer as a Spiritual Battle (Ephesians 6:10-20) by Harvest Church
Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Something feels off right now, and it's not just policy or elections. When the culture starts calling evil good and good evil, it's easy to spiral into doom-scrolling, cynicism, and the quiet lie that nothing we do matters. I read a viral post that captures that dread, then I push back on the trap underneath it: outrage that never turns into action becomes apathy, and apathy is how families, churches, and entire communities slowly collapse. Visit Claymore Milites Christi to join the movement! From there, I lay out a simple framework for Christian renewal that's meant to be lived, not argued about online. It starts with the human heart choosing what's true and good, then restores marriage and family as the backbone of civilization, and stays anchored in Christ and the Church. We also talk about corruption and institutional decay, using a clip about government fraud to show how real people get hurt when systems are captured, and why reform has to be paired with moral formation. The anchor story is Pier Giorgio Frassati, a young Catholic who climbed mountains, loved his friends, served the poor with his own hands, and refused to separate prayer from public life. I contrast his path with Robespierre as a warning: “justice” detached from God can turn into terror. The goal here is Christian social activism and Catholic political engagement rooted in charity, truth, courage, and joy, so we fight for the innocent without becoming what we hate. In this thought-provoking conversation, Katie Bishop joins Michael Jaco to discuss the Book of Enoch, spiritual warfare, entity attachments, false light teachings, and the profound healing she believes is taking place as more people awaken. Katie shares her perspective on ancient texts such as the Book of Enoch and the Book of Giants, explaining why she believes they provide important insight into the spiritual challenges facing humanity today. She also discusses discernment, the rise of what she describes as the "false light" movement, and the importance of developing a deeper relationship with God while navigating an increasingly complex world. A central focus of this conversation is entity attachments and spiritual healing. Katie explains her approach to helping people release fear, trauma, and what she describes as negative spiritual attachments. Drawing from her personal experiences working with clients, she discusses healing, deliverance, spiritual freedom, and reclaiming one's authentic identity and purpose. Throughout the episode, Katie also shares practical guidance for strengthening discernment, cultivating inner peace, and walking a path of healing rooted in faith, truth, and personal transformation. What battle are you carrying today? Maybe it is an unanswered prayer, a painful loss, a strained relationship, a health concern, or a circumstance that feels far beyond your control. When life feels overwhelming, we can become so consumed by our emotions—or so busy trying to fix everything ourselves—that prayer is often one of the first things we neglect. This week on The Love Offering Podcast, my friend Rachel Wojo joins me to talk about her new 90-day devotional, Praying Through Life’s Battles. Drawing from her experience of loving and losing her daughter, Taylor, Rachel shares how prayer has sustained her through unimaginable grief and reminded her that she never faces life’s battles alone. In our conversation, we discuss: Why prayer can feel difficult when we are overwhelmed How remembering God’s faithfulness helps us resist the enemy’s lies Practical ways to remain grounded in Scripture during hard seasons How to make prayer a natural part of everyday life Why persistence matters when an answer seems delayed What it means to pray from Christ’s victory rather than merely for victory One truth Rachel shared has stayed with me: “The reason for prayer is not for the answers. The reason for prayer is for the relationship.” God certainly can change our circumstances through prayer, but He also uses prayer to change us. He meets us in our weariness, reminds us of His promises, and aligns our hearts with His. He wants to give us more than an answer—He wants to be our answer. One of the first Bible verses Rachel’s daughter Taylor learned was, “The battle is the Lord’s” (1 Samuel 17:47). Those words became a family mantra throughout Taylor’s life, and they remain a beautiful reminder for each of us today. Whatever you are facing, you do not have to fight in your own strength. God sees you, He is with you, and the battle belongs to Him. The story of Gideon in the Bible shows us a picture of God's great power as He stripped away time and again what would be attributed to men's power and made it clear that it was God's power that led Gideon to victory. As Christians, we have no reason to fear anything we face because God's same power that was in Gideon resides in us through the Holy Spirit.
The president of the largest Christian broadcasters association is calling attention to a spiritual battle he believes is raging in our world today. We're all part of this battle whether or not we realize it or believe it. This battle is not being waged in tiny, dark corners, it is front and center: in our schools, in our halls of government, in our courts, and across our media. On this episode of the Lighthouse Faith podcast, Troy Miller, President and CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), shares his belief that we are in a global battle for the Judeo-Christian worldview. And just like the Bible warns, we are wrestling not against flesh and blood, "but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Anxiety has a way of haunting the edges of your day, even when you're praying and trying to do everything right. We start with a simple moment that turns intense fast: a bike ride, traffic that feels too close, and a rising sense that something is off. The turning point comes when we stop treating that fear like random noise and name what it often is: a real battle, both interior and exterior, between truth and falsehood, good and evil, beauty and what deforms it. From there we move straight into the heart of Christian spirituality: Jesus Christ as the light of the world. We lean on John's Gospel and on the command to “walk while you have the light,” then connect it to the courage of “be not afraid.” We also bring in GK Chesterton's line, “Take away the supernatural and what remains is the unnatural,” to explain why modern culture can feel so irrational even with all our technology and information. When the supernatural gets rejected, we don't become more “natural” or more free, we lose the light that makes human identity, marriage, freedom, and truth intelligible. John Paul II's insight lands hard here: we cannot understand ourselves without love, and we cannot fully know ourselves apart from Christ who reveals man to himself. That's why Jesus can say both “I am the light of the world” and “you are the light of the world” we become luminous only by staying close to the source. We end with a clear, practical path: knees before the phone, daily prayer, Scripture, confession, the Eucharist, the rosary, and silence, so the light of Christ can shine through ordinary lives. Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”A move for work sounds like a plain life update until the details start stacking up in ways you can't unsee. Tim shares a real, personal testimony that begins with landing in Wheaton “randomly,” learning it's packed with Churches and people of faith, including a strong Catholic community. From there, the story turns into a trail of moments that feel less like chance and more like God's quiet direction, the kind that shows up in ordinary places and refuses to stay ordinary.Tim shares what it feels like when coincidences stop reading like luck and start reading like providence. The heart of the conversation is prayer: rediscovering it, trusting it again, and realizing other people have been praying specific things on your behalf without you even knowing. One of the most striking beats is the timing between a sudden desire to return to Church and a mother's heartfelt prayers the night before, a reminder of how intercessory prayer and family faith can carry someone even when they've drifted. Then comes the simple decision that changes the day: walking past the same coffee shop again and again, feeling the nudge to go in “now,” and meeting Catholic men who become part of the path back to Jesus. Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Something is shifting under the surface of American culture: Gen Z men are walking back into churches, asking blunt questions about truth, purpose, and what it means to live a good life. Recored before a live audience at St. Mary of Perpetual Help, we talk with Gen Z author John Kruger about his new book Dwelt Among Us: America's Catholic Comeback, and why this renewal feels rooted in more than politics or vibes. When the world gets louder, thinner, and more online, the search for meaning gets more serious. We zoom out to the spiritual and historical backdrop, including Pope Leo XIII's 1884 vision and the St. Michael prayer, then trace a century marked by war, ideological revolutions, and a steady assault on marriage and family life. We also get honest about what young people have actually grown up with: new atheism, social media identity traps, economic anxiety, and the loneliness epidemic. The thread running through it all is simple and demanding: reason points toward truth, and the human heart cannot live on substitutes forever. To close, we hand the mic to men from the audience who share their own conversion stories, from atheism and online ideology to Scripture, Augustine, and finally the Sacraments. Are you feeling exhausted, defeated, or like you're just trying to survive the darkness in the world? Discover how to unlock the true empowerment of the Holy Spirit to break strongholds and bring real change to your life, workplace, and community. In this powerful message, Elliott Warren reveals that God wants to do more than just comfort you—He wants to empower you. Drawing from the passing of Elijah's mantle to Elisha and the explosive growth of the early church, this sermon challenges the modern mindset of merely waiting for heaven. Instead, it equips you with a bold "Kingdom Vision" to pray "Thy kingdom come" not as a passive wish, but as an aggressive prayer of spiritual warfare to displace the enemy. Whether you are facing resistance in your personal life, your family, or your career, you will learn how to shift from playing defense to actively taking territory. Just as the Apostle Paul experienced breakthrough, an earthquake, and prison doors opening in Macedonia after persistent spiritual warfare, you too can step into the authority needed to see chains fall and lives transformed. In this podcast episode, Guy talked with Gregg Kirk about his journey from battling severe Lyme disease to experiencing a profound spiritual awakening and becoming an energy healer. Gregg shared how a near-death moment and complete surrender had opened him to remote healing, channeling, past-life visions, and other supernatural experiences. He also described his controversial visits to John of God in Brazil, where he said he had witnessed extraordinary healings while clearly acknowledging the serious crimes for which John of God was later imprisoned. The conversation explored how emotional, spiritual, and past-life trauma could influence physical illness, as well as Gregg's experiences helping others through in-person and remote energy sessions. Gregg concluded by encouraging listeners to believe in the possibility of miracles, nurture their own spiritual gifts, and recognize that their love could positively influence the collective. ==================== Guy's Official Partners The DNA Company – Get 10% Off https://thednacompany.com/letitinpodcast FLFE – 2 Week Free Trial (No Credit Card Required) https://www.flfe.net/rp-affiliates.php?p=LiveInFlow&w=TryFLFEfree ==================== Key Points Discussed: (00:00) - He Was Dying From Lyme Disease — Then Something Unexplainable Happened! In this episode of the Exploring More podcast, Michael Thompson and SJ Jennings continue their series on Kingdom realities by exploring one of the Bible's most overlooked truths: we are living in a spiritual battle. Jesus promised abundant life—but He also warned that there is an enemy who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. What does it look like to live with both of those realities in view? Michael and SJ unpack the biblical story of spiritual warfare, reminding listeners that the conflict we experience is not simply psychological, cultural, or circumstantial. Behind the visible world is an unseen battle for our hearts, our identity, and our freedom. They explore how anxiety, fear, confusion, temptation, and discouragement are often more than isolated struggles—they're invitations to become aware of the larger story unfolding around us. Drawing from passages like 1 John 4 and Ephesians 5, they discuss the importance of discernment, testing the spirits, recognizing the enemy's schemes, and learning to walk wisely in a world filled with competing voices. The conversation emphasizes that Satan is not a creator but a corrupter, twisting what God has made good, while Jesus continually invites us into truth, healing, and life. Most importantly, Michael and SJ remind us that believers aren't called to live in fear of the battle. Through Christ, we've been given authority, discernment, and the Holy Spirit to stand firm, fight well, and experience the abundant life Jesus came to give. This episode is an invitation to become more spiritually awake—to recognize the battle, know your identity, and live with courage, wisdom, and confidence in the Kingdom of God
In this sermon, Dr. Patterson focuses on the theme of overcoming the reality of ongoing spiritual battles. He emphasizes the importance of developing a personal relationship with Jesus, distinguishing genuine spiritual warfare from the distractions of the world. Throughout the message, he highlights Christ's power to overcome evil and encourages believers to keep their focus on Jesus, remain steadfast in their faith, and actively engage in the spiritual battle through trust and obedience to God. --- About The Path --- At The Path, based out of Atlanta, Georgia, our mission is simple: “seek, save, and send.” Our goal is to save as many people as possible and teach them to do the same. There are two kingdoms: the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef reflects on the Lord's Prayer and what it means to pray, “Your kingdom come.” When we receive Christ as Lord and Savior, we are adopted into God's Kingdom and made members of His royal family. We become joint heirs with Christ, beloved children of the Father, and citizens with access to the throne of God. But citizenship in this Kingdom also means submitting to the wise and loving reign of the King. Dr. Youssef reminds believers that praying “Your kingdom come” is not merely a future hope—it is a present surrender. It means saying, “Lord, reign in my life. Rule over my thoughts. Shape my desires. Show me Your will.” Because human nature is selfish, even our prayers can become centered on our plans, needs, and ambitions. But Kingdom prayer submits every desire to the will of God. Within every believer is a battle between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world. But in Christ, we have the victory. So press on with confidence: your Father hears you, His Kingdom is advancing, and He will answer according to His perfect will. Join me in prayer. Precious Lord, I thank You for making a way for me to pass from the kingdom of this world into the Kingdom of God. Thank You for Your promise to make all things new. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen. The voice you hear on the MY Devotional podcast is digitally generated with Dr. Youssef's permission. If today's devotional stirred a question, burden, or need for prayer, you don't have to walk through it alone.
Life is a battle. Not just the obvious battles we see around us, but the deeper battles that shape who we become. On this episode of Like It Matters Radio, Mr. Black explores the six battles every person will face: Man vs. Nature – the unexpected storms of life Man vs. Man – conflict with others Man vs. Society – the pressure to conform Man vs. Himself – the internal war between fear and faith The Spiritual Battle – the unseen struggle between light and darkness The Battle for Identity – the greatest battle of all, because who you believe you are determines how you fight every other battle. Joining Mr. Black is Lt. Col. Phil Cochran, a retired Air Force F-16 fighter pilot, pastor, and author of Lessons Learned at the Speed of Sound. Drawing from years in the cockpit and years behind the pulpit, Lt. Col. Cochran shares how the disciplines required to fly a fighter jet reveal powerful spiritual truths about faith, courage, pressure, failure, and perseverance. LIM Radio s11e29 In the Fight of your life Outline.docx Together they discuss: Why even a one-degree drift can lead to disaster over time The importance of spiritual disciplines in staying on course Preparing for life’s battles before they arrive Why Scripture is our Critical Action Procedure when spiritual emergencies strike How proper preparation prevents poor performance Mr. Black also challenges listeners to become Powerful, Peaceful, and Present warriors—leaders who remain calm under pressure, disciplined in their actions, and fully aware of the people and opportunities God places before them. This isn’t just a conversation about aviation. It’s about leadership. It’s about faith. It’s about identity. Because the greatest battle you’ll ever fight isn’t against your circumstances. It’s the battle for who you believe you are. This is an Hour of Power for anyone ready to stop drifting, stand firm, and fight the good fight of faith. Inspiration. Education. Application. When you live your life like it matters… it does.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The headlines change every day, but the spiritual battle behind them remains the same. When a culture begins redefining truth, calling good evil and evil good, the consequences don't stay confined to politics. They show up in families, communities, schools, churches, and every part of society. Scripture has never separated the condition of a nation from the condition of its people, and history repeatedly shows what happens when God's wisdom is exchanged for human philosophy. If you've been wondering how current events fit into a biblical worldview, or why so many cultural changes seem connected, this conversation offers Scripture, historical perspective, and encouragement to stand firm in faith while navigating the days ahead.Subscribe for more conversations that connect current events, Bible prophecy, and a biblical worldview.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What does it look like, not only to know the truth and walk in it, but to stand firm in it? As we'll see in the final few verses of Paul's letter to the Ephesians, God gives us all we need!

We're so glad you are here! Thanks for checking out Sunday's message!-- SUNDAY'S NOTES --Some battles are easy to run from! (Skunks are one of them)Not every battle is that easy. There are battles that show up in in the deepest parts of you, Battles that threaten your family/your faith and your future! These are Spiritual Battles! What if not every battle is meant to be escaped?Because not every battle comes from the same place! We all face these, And we find ourselves wrestling with the aftermath! (And God Fights with and for us as a compassionate Friend as we lean on His strength) There are battles that come, not because you've disobeyed God, but because you've obeyed Him.Battles that find you while you're walking in surrender.Battles that come because you're exactly where God wants you to be. Takeaway: Gods Promises are not without Perils!Every step of the way toward the place that God had promised Joshua, There is an enemy rising up! Joshua was human, he must have laid eyes on that vast army and wondered the same thing! Why all these battles God?Joshua 11:20a(nkjv) For it was of the Lord to harden their hearts, that they(The Enemy) should come against Israel in battle, Because you can't walk in darkness and light at the same time!God knew something Joshua didn't know…and He knows something that you dont know:Takeaway: If you dont completely destroy your enemy, your enemy has the lingering potential to destroy you! Joshua's enemies were flesh and blood-ours are…AnxietyFearAddictionLustHopelessness/DepressionBitterness/OffenseGrief that we let control usPrideDivisionUnforgivenessDisappointmentEach of these are designed and assigned to take us out! These enemies that come against us are not for us to coexist with, but to conquer! Not to cohabitate with, but to completely/utterly destroy.Gods Policy…Leave no trace… of lust/fear/pride/envy…Fight not just until you get the upper hand, but until they are destroyed! No Trace!A little leaven, a little bit left can grow! Little compromises become Addictions. Little pride becomes a Poison. Little fears become Prisons. Little Lusts become Flames of Dark Desire!Takeaway: The enemies you don't defeat will lurk in the shadows of your life, gaining strength and will be a constant threat to your future and your family!Even with God on their side it was a process!Dont get discouraged in the process! Don't you get weary in the fight!Don't you give up-Dont you Quit! You are destined to fight and you are destined to win but you cannot win without a war! God wants us to walk in complete freedom! How do you walk in freedom from every enemy that rises up against you?How do you protect your family from the enemy?Be Strong and Very CourageousWhen the enemy comes…You stand up and fight…In the strength of the Lord! You keep Worshiping/Keep Surrendering/Praising/Praying/Reading/Crying out to God/Staying accountable/Fall down get back up/Running Back-Staying close to Jesus/Determine to grow(even if its slow) and dont you dare quit!Joshua is old-he is about to move to his eternal home he has realized not everyone obeyed the words of the Lord completely to destroy their enemies. Some remnants of enemies were allowed to remain in the land.So he gave them this warning:Joshua 23:12,13That's exactly what happened! (Judges)The enemies that were allowed to stay, who were not defeated, eventually led Gods People into deep idolatry and all kinds of evil sins that destroyed many! How do you know you are in danger? When you are friends with enemies God told you to destroy! What about you? Is their something you know is an enemy you are allowing to live in your heart? Something You have quit fighting and started coexisting with that is displeasing to God?This is not a game-You cannot toy/play with things God said to stay away from, the things that God said to drive out/destroy.If we are honest all of us have some enemies we are letting linger in our lives, we all have some business to take care of with Jesus this morning. The good news, today we can lean into Jesus, we can repent of any and all areas of darkness we have allowed to remain in our lives that do not line up with Gods word and we can walk out of here with a fresh start/ clean and re-engaged in a victorious battle over every enemy that threatens us and our families! -------------------------------------------------Download the 828 Church app!To view our latest e-newsletter, the Midweek Momentum, and subscribe to our weekly updates, go here! https://linktr.ee/828church

Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Your day is getting formed before you even realize it and your phone is usually the one doing the forming. We walk through a simple on-ramp to the Claymore Battle Plan that cuts through the confusion and gives you a clear starting line you can actually stick with.We break down the two key resources the Claymore Battle Plan is built around: the Handbook and the Battle Plan Outline (only a few pages). From there, we give you two daily actions. First is the Claymore 10-minute morning ritual, anchored by one rule that changes everything: “knees before the phone.” Second is reading one short Act each day, letting it sink in with a real pause so it moves from your head to your heart. We also highlight Act 11 as a practical guide for praying with temptations when the pressure is real.If you're doing Claymore with a friend, a fraternity, or a parish men's group, we explain why one Act at a time creates better conversations and long-term momentum. Begin today! Then share it with one guy who needs it. Subscribe, leave a review, and send this to a friend!Visit Claymore Watch on our YouTube ChannelSupport the show
Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller at Shepherd's Grove Presbyterian Church
Pastor Bobby teaches that enduring faith is built on hearing God's voice consistently, not just in crisis moments. Embrace the call to believe God's promises and give Him time to work miracles in our lives, with today's message: "How to Win Every Spiritual Battle."
If we learn to see with spiritual eyes, we begin to recognize a battle unfolding all around us. It is not a conflict over land or power, but a struggle for something far more precious than either: you. --- Help Spread the Good News --- Father Brian's homilies are shared freely thanks to generous listeners like you. Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”Gen Z men are walking back into church, and it isn't because they found a new self-help Podcast. They're waking up to the cost of the culture's false promises and they're hungry for something real: truth, mission, meaning and purpose and a Faith that restores the heart. From there, the spiritual backdrop that sets the present stage we find ourselves in, when Pope Leo XIII overhead the chilling dialogue between Satan and Our Lord coming forth from the tabernacle. To get an understanding of why the last century felt like a pressure cooker of war, corruption, and the breakdown of marriage and family...and why I believe grace is loosening the enemy's grip in our moment. Then we get practical with the Claymore Battle Plan: a three-step blueprint that begins in the human heart, restores human dignity, clarifies the meaning of sexuality through the beauty of marriage and family, and sends us out to rebuild culture and nation. John Paul II's voice runs through it all, especially his “be not afraid,” his Theology of the Body, and his insistence that the future of humanity passes through the family. We anchor the fight in Ephesians 6, because this is not against flesh and blood and we need the full armor of God.You'll also hear exactly how to use the Claymore handbook, the free six-page outline, and this podcast as a three-legged formation rhythm, plus the daily habit that makes it real: the 10 minute morning ritual, knees before the phone. Today, on Karl and Crew, we wrapped up our weekly theme, "Temptation," by discussing various temptations with experts in their fields and how they overcome them. Dr. Winfred Neely joined us to discuss the temptation to manage worry in our own strength. He explained the difference between worry and concern and how believers can experience God’s peace by drawing near to Him in faith. Dr. Neely is Professor Emeritus of Old Testament, Biblical Interpretation, and Preaching at Moody Bible Institute and author of "How to Overcome Worry – Experiencing the Peace of God in Every Situation." Dr. Michael Rydelnik also joined us to talk about spiritual conflict in the Middle East, the danger of remaining silent in the face of evil, and how believers can stand firm by reading, meditating on, and speaking the Word of God. Dr. Rydelnik is Professor Emeritus of Jewish Studies and Bible and an Adjunct Professor in the undergraduate program at Moody Bible Institute. He is the author of "How Should Christians Think About Israel?" Omer Eshel joined us from Israel to discuss the reported protests in Gaza against Hamas. He explained how many Palestinian civilians are seeking freedom from Hamas’ control, urging believers to pray for peace, protection, and the people caught in the middle. Omer is the CEO and Co-founder of The Bible Comes to Life Travel and Educational Center. We then opened the phone lines to hear from our listeners and posed the question, “What temptation has God given you victory over?” You can catch the highlights of today’s program on the Karl and Crew Showcast If you're looking to hear a particular segment from the show, look at the following time stamps:Dr. Winfred Neely [ 44:34 ]Dr. Michael Rydelnik [ 13:38 ]Omer Eshel [ 7:04 ]Caller Segment [ 32:27 ]Donate to Moody Radio: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/morningshowSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Love to hear from you; “Send us a Text Message”America is nearing its 250th birthday, but the argument I can't shake is this: you don't lose a country all at once, and you lose it from the inside out. I walk through why the real conflict isn't simply left versus right, but a spiritual struggle over truth, the human heart, and the meaning of the human person. When a culture embraces moral relativism and treats God as optional, “freedom” declines into tyranny...and it is the most vulnerable, especially children, who suffer the most. From Solzhenitsyn's warning that “men have forgotten God” to Poland's quiet resistance through faith, language, and family life, we look at what actually preserves a nation's soul when institutions wobble.
