Seattle sports talk with Brock Huard and Mike Salk weekdays 7am to 10am on 710 ESPN Seattle.
The Brock and Salk podcast is a fan-favorite in the Seattle sports talk world. As a longtime listener to their radio show, I was thrilled when they transitioned to a podcast format. The chemistry between Brock Huard and Mike Salk is undeniable, and their discussions are always insightful and entertaining. They bring a critical eye to Seattle sports teams, calling out shenanigans and offering thoughtful analysis. Additionally, the addition of Boy Howdy and Kyle adds an extra layer of humor and fun to the show.
One of the best aspects of The Brock and Salk podcast is the depth they go into when discussing topics. Unlike their previous radio show where time constraints limited their conversations, the podcast allows them to focus on a single topic and explore it thoroughly. This allows for a more in-depth analysis that fans can appreciate. Whether it's breaking down game strategies or discussing broader issues in sports, Brock and Salk provide valuable insights that keep listeners engaged.
However, one of the worst aspects of this podcast is its limited frequency. While they release one episode per week, many fans, myself included, miss having them on air every morning. Their ability to provide daily sports updates and witty banter was sorely missed after leaving 710AM. Although I understand that life changes and responsibilities may have influenced their decision, it's still disappointing not being able to hear them daily.
In conclusion, The Brock and Salk podcast remains an excellent source of Seattle sports talk. Their chemistry, knowledgeability, and willingness to tackle tough subjects make them stand out in the crowded sports talk landscape. While I do wish for more frequent episodes, I am grateful that they continue to deliver quality content each week. The addition of Boy Howdy and Kyle only enhances the overall experience. For any Seattle sports fan looking for engaging discussions and entertaining banter, The Brock and Salk podcast is definitely worth a listen.
