A trivia brawl to start, a chess match to finish. We kick off with a fast, penalty-happy Super Bowl quiz that forces us to relive the moments that define February football—record throws in losses, special-teams heroics, blackout delays, and the painful beauty of split-second decisions. After crowning a champion, we pivot hard into a grounded preview of Patriots vs Seahawks, and the conversation quickly narrows to where big games are actually won: ball security, field position, and which quarterback blinks first when the pocket turns claustrophobic. We dig into Drake May's evolution—how he can win ugly with his legs, then flip a game with one fearless deep shot—and where his risk profile still lives, especially with blindside pressure and late holds. On the other side, we map the exact path for Sam Darnold to finish a redemption arc: early rhythm throws, trust in JSN's detail, and a commitment to take the profitable gains rather than chase hero-ball. Seattle's top scoring defense is built to punish loose football, while New England's defense disguises well enough to bait a rushed read and steal a drive. It's less about fireworks and more about who survives third downs, protects the pocket edge, and makes the smarter fourth-quarter choice. We also wrestle with Tom Brady's public neutrality. Is it brand strategy, competitive ego, or simply a clean break from the past? The debate opens a bigger question about what cements a legend: is it titles alone, or the sense that a city knows you? We land in a nuanced place—Ortiz as heartbeat, Bird as cultural backbone, Brady as the ultimate executor—and admit that the banners speak louder than any quote.Predictions are tight and respectful, reflecting a game that feels like a grind rather than a coronation. If you love tactical football, this one's for you. Listen, then tell us your winning path: who controls turnovers and who hits the one deep shot that flips the script? The Seattle Seahawks punched their ticket to Super Bowl 60 with a 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship. We're breaking down the critical moments that swung the game. Kenneth Walker's bruising second-quarter run set the physical tone early. Maybe the turning point in the game came when rookie Nick Emmanwori delivered back-to-back pass breakups and forced a Rams punt. That helped to give Sam Darnold just enough time to march downfield and take a 17-13 halftime lead. Darnold's performance included a no-look pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba—the kind of throw typically reserved for Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford. JSN's one-handed grab, a first-half reception through contact, and a deep catch to set up a touchdown, showcased why the Sam-to-JSN connection has become one of the league's most dangerous. I don't get how Rams D let @jaxsnj get open so on his TD catch.  We saw why him & @pukaizded are so good at their jobs.  @matthewstafford last two games vs Seahawks 931 yards, 6 TD's & 0 TD's and lost both.  @brianbarnaby some football talk.  Former @raiders 1st round pick Eldridge Dickey was a star @tsutigersfb but was converted to a WR and was out of the league in two years.  He passed in 2000.  Want to find out more about his career.  @miamioh_bball 20-0 first time in @macsports history #24 in @apnews this week.  @stjohnsbball back in at 25.  @arbitanalytics @huskermbb also 20-0 highest ranking ever at 5. @steve.cohn7 your @arizonambb number one for second straight week.  @uconnwbb only undefeated team in #wcbb after @vandywbb got blown out by @gamecockwbb 103-74 yesterday. #ufc324 @justin_gaethje unmarked after beating up @theufcbaddy Saturday night.  @wrexham_afc 3 straight road wins and in the hunt for promotion!  Sports trivia at the finish.  I apologize @nik_hendrix sorry for butchering your name. All sports. Remember when the Seahawks had two first-round picks and we talked about the idea of them moving up to take Stroud or Young… boy are we glad they didn't! Yes, at one point he looked like a bust, but he's put together 2 back-to-back 14-win seasons, what more do you need? He is not a liability for this Seahawks team, he is a strength and he's playing his role in this team's success. :30- AL KINISKY (Kraken Audio Network color analyst) The Kraken need a win! 492: Seahawks Suffocate 49ers - Best Defense in NFL Heads to Bye Week

Sea Hawkers Podcast for Seattle Seahawks fans

The Seattle Seahawks have earned their bye week as the NFC's top seed, and the dominance couldn't be sweeter. Mike McDonald's squad dismantled the 49ers in a performance that left no question about who was the top team in the NFC. T Jaxon Smith-Njigba capped off a historic season with 1,793 receiving yards—outpacing the entire New York Jets receiving corps—while the offensive evolution under Klint Kubiak has transformed Seattle from an explosive passing attack into a balanced team that others will fear in the playoffs. Charles Cross locked in a four-year, $104 million extension that looks like a very team friendly deal. The value only gets better when considering the contract takes him through age 30, giving Seattle bookend tackles with Abraham Lucas secured for the foreseeable future. Kubiak may have a future as a head coaching candidate. The Ravens job seems like a legitimate landing spot if he leaves, though there's zero interest in discussing coordinator departures while chasing a Lombardi. The wild card weekend brings a cursed Rams team to Carolina, where Dave Canales goes full circle back to when Seattle faced the Saints. We talk about the other playoff teams in the NFC and which could be considered "fraudulent." In Do Better, PFF takes a beating for rating Sam Darnold's solid performances against Carolina and San Francisco close to the same as Bryce Young and significantly lower than Brock Purdy. Arguments with AI also fall into the Do Better bin. Better at Life honors go to JSN and the Seahawks 2025 defense. Join our Sea Hawkers Podcast Pickem League - free prizes for weekly winners.
