The first major piece of news to point us toward the offseason direction of the Seahawks has dropped. So just what does the restructuring of the Leonard Williams contract mean? We get into it and discuss what could come next. A Myles Garrett trade would be intriguing, but there are probably about 30 other teams who would be interested. Klint Kubiak had his introductory press conference with the Seahawks this week. We discuss some of the more interesting moments from the offensive coordinator and talk about the potential for the Seahawks to carry a fullback on the roster in 2025. We kick off the second half of the show with a chat with North Dakota State quarterback Cam Miller, who shared his experience at Shrine Bowl, aspirations for the NFL, and a few players who he believes will have success at the NFL level. Former Seahawks Head Coach Mike Holmgren was snubbed from the Hall of Fame, but after a series of threats we expect he'll get in next year. We wrap up the show with 'Do Better' and 'Better at Life,' featuring Dan Orlovsky's unusual way of eating peanut butter cups, a top 5 list for Aaron Rodgers' landing spots, Saquon Barkley's gesture during the Eagles' Super Bowl parade and a place on Reddit for understanding pop culture references of the past and present. We're kicking off the offseason with discussions on the Seahawks coaching changes and the All-Pro snub of Leonard Williams. With Ryan Grubb out as offensive coordinator, we take a look at three potential candidates to step into the role: Thomas Brown, Hank Fraley, and Klint Kubiak who are all reported to be interviewing with the position. How do their past achievements play into and potentially fit with the Seahawks' philosophy? What are some of the risks associated with each candidate? We each offer our top candidate of the three. Leonard Williams was snubbed from the All-Pro team despite exceeding all of the other candidates statistically in almost every category. Could this motivate Big Cat to an even better season next year? Plus we get into the topic of general manger John Schneider and his 2024 offseason and in-season moves. Could this be the offseason where he finally addresses the issues on the offensive line? As we look around the rest of the league, the San Francisco 49ers are considering a familiar name for their vacant defensive coordinator position. Plus could Pete Carroll be on track to return to the NFL in 2025? He has two jobs lined up and one could him in position to reunite with some former Seahawks. We call out the rarely used 'strength of victory' in determining tie breakers and the Patriots for moving on from their head coach after one season. Better at life honors go out to head coach Mike Macdonald and to the firefighters battling the fires in Southern California. Looking for more Seahawks shows? From Eli Manning's aspirations of becoming a part-owner of the Giants to a detailed review of the team's offensive line performance in 2024, this episode covers it all.  The hosts begin by discussing Eli Manning's recent comments to CNBC Sports about his potential interest in owning a stake in the Giants. Manning expressed that his heart remains with the team he played for over 16 years, sparking excitement about what his involvement could mean for the franchise's future. Drew and Rob weigh the implications of such a move and reflect on Eli's passion for the Giants even in retirement.  Next, the duo considers whether the Giants should pursue Antonio Pierce as their next defensive coordinator. With Pierce's strong ties to the Giants as a former player and his growing resume as a coach, including a stint as the Las Vegas Raiders' head coach in 2024, they analyze how his leadership and experience might elevate the Giants' defense.  Another highlight of the episode is a look at a hypothetical "team of ex-Giants," compiled by Dan Benton of GiantsWire. This roster features players who once wore Giants blue, including Odell Beckham Jr., Saquon Barkley, Leonard Williams, and Xavier McKinney. The exercise serves as a bittersweet reminder of the talent the Giants have let go over the years, while also spotlighting positions where the team continues to struggle in finding long-term solutions.  The episode also features an in-depth review of the Giants' offensive line in 2024, detailing the performances of key players such as Andrew Thomas, John Michael Schmitz, and Evan Neal. Despite flashes of promise from some linemen, injuries and inconsistent play plagued the unit throughout the season. On Tuesday's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by his weekly guests, Danny Kelly, The Ringer and John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com.  Puck opens up the show talking about the Seahawks and the five remaining game of the season. Can they three more wins?  What steps needs to be taken to improve the running game?  How does this weeks game plan change after seeing Arizona just two weeks ago?  Also, Cougar nation is on edge right now with offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle leaving for Oklahoma. Puck tells fans to relax. It's going to be ok. Danny Kelly, The Ringer, joins Jason “Puck” Puckett to talk about the absurd Seahawks game and how close they were to losing the game.  The defense is playing at an all-time level right now, especially Leonard Williams. Devon Witherspoon is proving to be the second coming of the Legion of Boom.  How to solve the running game?  Is the problem with Ryan Grubb or is the problem with the offensive line?  Ken Walker and Grubb need to get it going fast because Walker is one hell of a talent. How things have changed for the Seahawks?  They are 7-5 and alone in first place! Just three weeks ago, Puck was talking about tanking the season! Danny also touches in on fantasy football and gives Puck his Tuesday weekly wire pick ups.  They also put another person on “The Barge” out to the Pacific Ocean.  This one is well deserved. John Canzano, JohnCazano.com, joins Jason “Puck” Puckett for his weekly conversation on all things college football.  They jump right into the discussion surrounding the state of the Washington State Cougars.   Jake Dickert is at a breaking point right now.  He has to hire two new coordinators and has to guard against other schools from poaching his players, specifically John Mateer.  Speaking of Mateer, Canzano thinks Mateer will enter the portal and leave WSU.  John also offers advice on who Dickert should surround himself on his coaching staff and Puck brings up the name, Dennis Erickson. What was John's takeaway from Oregon's win over Washington?  Also, Demond Williams is a star in the making for Washington. Can the Huskies keep him?The story of the turnaround at ASU under Kenny Dillingham is why you love sports.  Has the sleeping giant finally awoken in Tempe?Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  Major League Baseball is considering a new rule called the “Golden At-Bat” and Puck absolutely hates the idea. He begs baseball to remain baseball and not some side show.

The Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett is back after taking a Thanksgiving break!  Puck is joined by Jim Moore, who always joins Puck on Monday, Wednesday's and Friday's. Puck and Jim go back and forth between the Seahawks crazy win over the New York Jets and the WSU Cougars collapse to end the season.  Some fans are calling for Jake Dickert to be fired. Puck and Jim both agree that they don't think and don't want to see Dickert removed, nor do they want him to take another job. The Cougars did make a move by firing their defensive coordinator Jeff Schmedding.  What will they do if Ben Arbuckle decides to leave?  He's been rumored for the offensive coordinator opening at Oklahoma.  The Seahawks won a wild game in New York and their defense was the story, especially Leonard Williams, who is playing at an all-time level right now.  The Seahawks sit at 7-5 and first place in the NFC West.  Despite the win, there was some negativity coming out of the game, in regards to their special teams and their offense.   Ryan Grubb is under a lot of fire from the fanbase, is it warranted?  How much is it play calling and how much of the blame is on the offensive line? The Ground Puck Podcast with Tim Booth, Seattle Times and Curtis Crabtree, FOX 13, joins Jason “Puck” Puckett to discuss the Seahawks crazy win over the Jets and they look ahead to the rest of the season.  They discuss the phenomenal play of the defense and the play of Leonard Williams.  The Ernest Jones trade might go down as the second best trade in franchise history for John Schneider.  They get into the issues in the red zone and short yardage situations with Ryan Grubb.  Can Grubb get to all they plays he wants if his offensive line can't block?  Five games remain in the season and the Seahawks will need to get to 10 wins on the season to win the division.  Can they get three more wins in the final five?   If they make the playoffs, what is the commentary about the decision to replace Pete Carroll with Mike Macdonald? Finally, “Hey, What the Puck?!” Puck says firing Jake Dickert would be the wrong move. He's a good coach that can improve. He needs to adapt, but moving on from him would be a mistake.

The Seahawks jumped back up to the top of the NFC West this past Sunday with a 16-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals. We dive into the game and talk about the defense's outstanding performance that held James Conner to under 10 rushing yards and contained Kyler Murray. Leonard Williams made a significant impact, and the pass rush as a whole is pressuring at a rate that is difficult to believe. It wasn't the prettiest win though. With only 10 offensive points, we examines the Seahawks offensive struggles and we get into some of the theories around why it may take some time for it to pull together by the end of the season. Looking ahead, the Seahawks are set to face the New York Jets, a team filled with talent yet riddled in turmoil. With the Seahawks' defense on the upswing, can they maintain their winning momentum? In the second half of the show, we discuss the current NFC West standings, where the Seahawks lead the division, and how the playoff race is shaping up. The downfall of the 49ers continues and it doesn't get much easier with a road trip to Buffalo coming up this weekend. Is it the end for Kyle? Should it be? One coach that won't ever get another NFL job lands in the Do Better segment this week. We also take aim at the NFL, because they're fining players for things that it is also promoting. The Seahawks defense shines bright as they defeat the Arizona Cardinals 16-6 in a hard-fought divisional matchup. Coming off a tough loss to the Rams, Seattle's defense stepped up in a big way, holding the Cardinals to just six points. The defensive line was relentless, pressuring Kyler Murray and shutting down the run game, limiting James Conner to a mere 8 yards on 7 carries. Geno Smith and the offense had their struggles, but a key screen pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba set up the go-ahead score.
