Headlines and The Wrigley effect. The Mariners figured out the right approach based on the conditions at Wrigley Field, but it took a bit. Emerson Hancock couldn't conquer Wrigley on Saturday and the Cubs took advantage, but on Sunday it was Logan's turn to make some adjustments and the M's batter's took advantage of the windy conditions to come up with 14 runs and a series win. The M's scored 30 runs over the weekend, but the offense is in no way fixed. With two unprecedented moves in the bye week, as the Seahawks started center retired and their leading tackler was waived, this felt like a pivotal moment in Coach Mike Macdonald's young coaching career. The offense shows some improvement and the defense stepped up in a big way against the Niners offense. Brock and Salk discuss how the Seahawks had plenty of defensive injuries yesterday, but also how the Lions are a better team right now. They also talk through what they learned about the Seahawks after watching that game. In Blue 88, they go over why Joe Buck was right, PFF grades and early lines for the upcoming college football weekend.

The Seahawks got a 400 passing yard performance by Geno Smith and a three touchdown rushing performance by Ken Walker and they still lost by two scores to the Detroit Lions. Key injuries along the defensive line limited the pass rush and allowed Jared Goff to have a perfect performance on the day. An early fumble by DK Metcalf put the Seahawks behind early, but in previous weeks we saw the defense help limit the points given up from mistakes on offense. The Seahawks defense had another dominant performance in Sunday;s win over the Dolphins and Salk is fired up about it. Maura also takes everyone Around The NFL, including looking at storylines across the NFC West, the Eagles, the Bucs, Sam Darnold and more.

Brock and Salk contuinue to marvel about how good the Seahawks defense has been, including their physicality. They then talk through three Seahawks questions including the first three matchups, injuries and the offensive line. In Blue 88, they dive in on similarities between the Pac-2 and the Seahawks, Zach Charbonnet and Seahawks penalties. 

Our Seahawks have done it again! The Seahawks put up 17 points in the first quarter and looked like they were going to cost to victory while hammering the Miami Dolphins. It was only the defense that would dominate the next two quarters. When the Dolphins offense looked like it might climb within one score of the game, the defense turned them away at the goal line and the offense closed the game out.
