We highlight the ineptitude of the 49ers offense that was considered one of the hottest in football coming into Week 18. But CMC and Purdy were shut down entirely thanks to relentless pressure from the Seahawks front. Nick Emmanwori stood out as he continues his campaign for defensive rookie of the year and Drake Thomas came up with a clutch turnover late in the game to help keep the Niners out of the end zone. The offense didn't need many points. They controlled the clock with Ken Walker and Zach Charbonnet balancing out an efficent game by Sam Darnold. The biggest critique was a missed touchdown opportunity that could have broken the 49ers spirit much earlier. Before we look ahead to the Seahawks Saturday night battle against the San Francisco 49ers, let's look back at the micro-moments in the Panthers game that kept Seattle in the pole position in the NFC. To kick things off, Ty Okada and and Drake Thomas were key in providing some sound tackling and effective run support. Additionally, we dial in on how Nick Emmanwori and Julian Love helped contain the outside runs when the Panthers tried to change things up. On offense, the focus goes to the play of the offense following the Julian Love interception - it was a physical, clock-controlling dirve that set up their late touchdown. But in traditional 3 IN, 3 OUT style, it wasn't all sunshine and roses. The Seahawks coasted to victory over the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, getting the 30-24 win off another standout performance by Jaxon Smith-Njigba. With six games remaining in the season, JSN has already set a franchise record with 1,313 receiving yards. His two touchdowns helped keep Seattle out ahead of the Titans and in control of the game all afternoon. In a game of inches, we ended up a few yards short and to the right. In a frustrating loss where Sam Darnold must take most of the blame, there were other moments and aspects, good and bad, that added to this tough loss to our largest rivals, the Rams. There were some good points to focus on, too. Defensive efforts come under the spotlight, notably the exceptional play from Tariq Woolen, a crucial tackle for loss by Boye Mafe, as well as the importance of second-half adjustments. Some surprising stats jumped out as we dug into the box score, too. While it felt like most of the pressure came from the right side, two-thirds of the pressure actually came from the left. Plus, there was one play by the guards and led to Ken Walker getting absolutely blown up in the backfield.
