Fantastic chat with Darius knight today. Darius is an international table tennis player who was part of the London 2012 Olympic team. We spoke about how Darius first got into table tennis living in battersea and the massive opportunities in life that table tennis has given him. It was also interesting to get Darius's take on how he would mentally and physically prepare himself to compete at the highest level. He coaches as a volunteer at a boxing club in merseyside and has coached fighters all of ages and abilities. Fran is the creator of myboxingcoach.com a platform that allows Fran to share his boxing training systems that is enabling people from all walks of like to learn new skills and boost their fitness. Fran also shares with us some incredible advice on productivity and growth mindset which helps him to run a success business and maintain a busy schedule. This then prompted Amanda to pursue a career in nutrition and is now a degree qualified nutritional therapist and runs a nutrition practise in Cambridge. Amanda works with and helps her clients with weight loss , thyroid health , gut health and creating and adopting a healthy lifestyle that offers longevity . On todays episode i had the pleasure and privilege of speaking with Phil Daru. Phil spoke about his role at American Top Team after gaining 10 years of experience under UFC Vet Din Thomas. Phil goes into detail about the ins and outs of his role as a coach working with the best fighters in the world , including his current work he is doing with Dustin Poirier for his big title shot bout with Khabib. Not only does phil have a wide range of knowledge after gaining two degrees in exercise science and sport medicine. He has also been through the fire himself and experienced some of the toughest physical challenges anyone can go though. He has competed as a strongman , MMA fighter , bodybuilder and powerlifter. Phil also owns two gyms and has online coaching/mentorship programmes where you can learn from the man himself.
Tony is an ex olympian and bronze medalist from the 2008 olympics. After the olympics Tony turned professional and remained undefeated in 11 fights. Unfortunately due to injury Tony was forced to retire and didn't know what life had in store for him next. He didn't know at the time but this was the best thing that could of happened to him. Tony now lives the American dream with two very successful gyms in California and the owner of the Box n Burn academy. Tonys gym have attracted a lot of big hollywood stars and even gained number 1 status in LA. Today on the podcast we welcome Dr Casey Eisenbach. In 2010 Casey gained a bachelors degree in Chemistry and became a chiropractor after attending the Los Angeles college of chiropractic in 2013. Casey is now in her 6th year of practise as a chiropractor working in the west side of Los Angeles helping a huge amount of people. Casey has said " my main focus when it comes to my patients is educating them on the benefits on moving well. This not only gives them some relief, but helps to change their biomechanics and postural habits. This creates a stronger foundation which then helps my patients become less prone to injury ". As well as working with her patients Casey has worked with athletes from Santa Monica high school and cheerleaders from the SAN Diego chargers. Casey has also competed as a power lifter competing in 4 USAPL competitions in the last 5 years.
