Judy Hoarfrost has wielded a paddle as far back as she can remember, but it was apparent when she won her first National Championship at the age of 12 (Junior Girls) that she was destined for a life in Table Tennis. In this episode of Pickleball Fountain of Youth, host Steve Paranto dives deep into Judy's historic, Hall of Fame role as a Table Tennis pro, her recent introduction to pickleball and her success in bringing her incredible skills from Table Tennis to the pickleball court. At just 15 years old, Judy was the youngest member of the US National Team competing at the '71 World Table Tennis Championships in Nagoya, Japan. She was a member of the “Ping Pong Diplomacy” Team that made history in 1971 when they toured China and met Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai. She was many-times a US Junior Champion, 2-time US Senior Champion, a 3-medal winner of the Pan Am Games, and 2-time Oregon Champion for both Men & Women. In 2020, Judy was introduced to pickleball and connected with her future Mixed Doubles partner, Pickleball Hall of Famer Steve Paranto. Just 2 years later she would win gold in Women's Doubles 65+ 4.5 at the 2022 USA Pickleball National Championships. Judy was inducted into the US Table Tennis Hall of Fame, as well as the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame. She is the owner of Paddle Palace, which sells all things Table Tennis.

From Brooklyn gangs to competing in North Korea, table tennis saved Wally Geen's life and turned him into a messenger of peace.Nobody in the West really cares about table tennis, which is why Wally Green isn't a household name.I mention the West because, as we all know, Asians not only love the sport but are masters of it. The Chinese, for example, are on another level entirely. Have you seen them play? It's incredible.Anyway, back to Wally. His story is not about winning competitions, but about winning at life.To be clear, Wally represented the United States in over 35 International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) pro tours around the world, but he has never won a major competition. However, what makes his journey inspirational is how he overcame an abusive father, gangs, and hiding guns, to direct his anger towards competitive sports and create hilarious memories around the world. After all, how often do Black people play table tennis in North Korea?
Zhang Li's father is a university ping pong instructor, which allowed her to start playing from an early age. Gao Jin expresses his envy of Zhang Li's fortunate upbringing circumstances.Join other motivated learners on your Chinese learning journey with maayot. With his sights focused on becoming a respected top-ten world-class table tennis player, the Almighty, Eternal One of Israel, got ahold of his life and redirected his dream. Instead of going for the Olympic gold in Table Tennis, Yosef came to be a well-known and respected trainer for the paraplegic Christina Hoffman, who, in fact, did go on to become Mexico's world-class table tennis national champion. But this is just the beginning of the story about Yosef Sanchez. Today, he leads a Spanish-language Messianic ministry in Cancun, Mexico. Indeed, his spiritual life's journey is engaging, taking him from world-class Table Tennis to world-class biblical research and Spanish language Messianic leadership. This Real Israel Talk Radio program, Episode 171, is the story of the life and journey of Yosef Sanchez from Cancun, Mexico. Support the show

Website: pingpongleadership.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/thebookey/ Table Tennis and Leadership Principles Justin shared his passion for table tennis, which he started playing at six.
